90DF Live Chat 3: I Gave Up Everything To Be Here

Didn't Jenny live with Mr. & Mrs. Sumit for like 3 months when she went to visit Sumit the first time?  Did she learn nothing about how to run an Indian household? Why isn't Jenny bringing it up that they have all lived together already?

Who is surprised that Mother Sumit came in ready to critique everything about the house?

It's the culture

I don’t care what culture it is, if you’re 60+ and another adult treats you like a simpleton about how to correctly accomplish basic household chores, regardless of whether it’s because you suck at said chores or because that adult clearly hates you, then you need to question every choice you’ve made since you were potty trained.

Or when a bunch of women who only know each other online set upon a young Mormon man and pummel him senseless.

The blind item in question. No idea if it is real. No one has dug up anything so far.

Yes, and they were very good friends until they found about Jenny's nightly trips upstairs to Sumit's room.

If you hate to clean or are bad at it (says a friend), and you have important guests coming, HIRE HELP and join them to do a SWAT job. Can't imagine it would cost much there, and they have, what, a 4- or 5-room apt with a patio? And a cow?

Y'all were bringin' the pain tonight (bows).

I might drop in tomorrow for Single Life, and hoping to see if Liz drops Big Egg.

Sad to say, parts of TSL resemble my entire past dating life (before I retired from dating) but I sneak-watch it for tips.

Can I hope next week Mama S has Jenny on her hands and knees with a bucket and a scrub brush?!

More like Mama S will walk in with the bucket and scrub brush and J. will be on her hands and knees

I know but I am Canadian and their culture is wrong…..I’m kidding

Goodnight everyone!

It happens here in canada too, a friends daughter married an E Indian Dr, his mother would have nothing to do with her until she taught her the proper way, made only worse because she’s caucasian!

Article about Mormon practice of baptizing the dead and photo of baptismal font. 12-to 18-year-olds do it, usually being dunked multiple times for multiple people “by proxy”.

Canadian Thanksgiving would be much better in Turkey.

Good night everyone, it was fun, as always. Although, looks like next week's snark might be even more fun!! 🎉

I might drop in tomorrow for Single Life, and hoping to see if Liz drops Big Egg.

Unfortunately, she might not have the self esteem to do so.

Oh, I would absolutely LOVE to see that! Jenny deserves it, for real!

Which religion do the Mormons really hate? Muslim? Jewish? Hindu? Well whatever it is, I would love it if the Mormon dead were baptized in that religion.... see how the Mormons like it.

Heck, I hate Scientologist but if a bunch of them started praying over Mormon graves and telling them that they are now in Scientology heaven, I wouldn't object.

See, that, right there, why are those two women acting like they are strangers, why are they acting like they cannot communicate, why are they acting like they have never done chores together, etc...

Also, if my boyfriend and future father in law stood around watching me sweep my floor under the direction of my future mother in law, I'd have dropped that sorry excuse for a broom and walked out, that is some bull shit right there.  Why would I need an audience watching and basically enjoying my getting schooled by a women who seemingly hates me?

Last night my husband walked in while Jenny and Sumit were on the screen and he asked two questions:

1. Is that supposed to be his mother? Referring to Jenny.

2. What is wrong with her neck?

When I explained their relationship to him he had no follow up questions, I mean who could blame him for just leaving that information and walking out of the room.

But would you do it for $1000-$1500 per episode?!

Ari reminds me of my first mother in law. She genuinely did not think that anyone could be inconvenienced by her. Drove me to drink.

Her SIL has her number. "Now that you've done your little thing and had your baby in Ethiopia, it's time to come back to reality." Which I fully expect she wants to do, but everyone prodding at her to come back is making her dig her little heels in to prove that no one tells her what to do.

No.  And I have been in a position where I had five figure student loan debt in the five figures and was unemployed with no income until September (and even THAT was unsure).....no.  I recently scrubbed my Facebook and IG (never a Twitter person) and no.

And awesome peeps - I was totally into the Steelers Seahawks game last night - no live chat.  Plus I get no live tv.  I feel left out, lol!!!
