For me, I liked it so much better the years we could follow finals on Instagram or Twitter or whatever social media platform was used. Some solos would be highlighted, one or two of the DCC alums even came on here to give us live updates. It was just a little more exciting.

Whether the current social media blackout is by design to ramp up excitement for the show or if it’s a production decision so they can craft that storyline, it’s just anticlimactic. I’m rapidly losing interest. 

Absolutely agree with your 100%!  I am also losing interest because of another side of that argument.  Without the postings, we don't get to know the TCCs ahead of time.  I cared so much before because I felt like I KNEW them by the time we actually got to see the show.  I mean waiting with baited breathe, bowl of popcorn, gather the family for group viewing excitement.  Last season they took that from us.  And I just didn't get invested in them.  At all.  So I could give a crap if they cut them all.  I've never felt like that before.  It's sad.  I just don't know what marketing school these people went to.  It isn't building excitement.  It is deflating the interest.

They could cut all the rookies from last year and I wouldn't even miss them. I have no attachment to them with the bubble training camp last year & the masks. Any of them could walk right by me and I wouldn't even know it...

Elli, Claire, Darian, Armani, Dani, McKenzie, and Jada I kind of have a small attachment to lol. It was a really good rookie class imo. Hell even Marissa whom I don't like is a relatively good dancer.

I don't even know that Dr. M is an "insider." At least not in the traditional sense. Starting to think it was someone close to, or related to, Victoria. THAT"s where his/her info really centered around it seemed.

I agree, I think they are someone a few steps removed, but close enough to weasel some info out, or to put the puzzle pieces together.  And it is too much of a coincidence that they appeared on this forum at the time they did.

Certainly possible. So far we know that Lisa is listening to John Mayer. Kristin is listening to Taylor Swift. Darian is eating ravioli. Alorra doesn't like Texas heat.  And all of them really love "recovery" with Dynamic Sports Medicine!

This was honestly so shocking to me. I was thinking that this year we were going to have to see her being focused on by being named a group leader and moving up to almost the front row of the triangle. If the issues are severe, such as mental health or maybe food/nutrition related, then her focus should be fixing that & not maintaining DCC's very hard to achieve/keep up body ideal.

I do find it interesting that she felt the need to point out how brave, mature and unselfish she's being by doing this. Reading between the lines it feels like she's saying " ya'll do think I'm brave, mature and unselfish right?" I mean come on Victoria, you know you have plenty of fans. You don't have to go fishing for praise or compliments.

If it is a serious issue (such as mental health or an unhealthy relationship with food) then she should focus on fixing that before thinking about re-auditioning. If she were thinking about coming back & getting into training camp next year, she would have to still work on maintaining the DDC body/weight and their level of dance through this year. I think her return should be treated as though she were repeating a grade in school. If Kelli were to let her breeze through everything and just pick up where she left off, it would not look good. It wouldn’t surprise me if they’re indeed trying to hunt down the insiders who have graciously provided us with info over the years. This would fit in with the policy of complete media silence they seem to demand from the TCC’s. They obviously do not want us to know what’s going on.

Curious if "they" is referring to the cheerleaders, TPTB, or someone else. Wonder why it matters? As for the "others," we've always known there are ladies from the team that lurk here. Probably a lot more than we think!

I doubt the anger of  a few cheerleaders would keep our insiders off the board. So, I’m guessing it’s either the DCC management or CMT. People with enough power to get you fired or even completely wreck someone’s career, which would be a very good reason to lay low for a bit.

I don't think so, but may be case by case. Judging from what I saw with the alumni that danced for Kitty's 40th celebration Brennan was one of the few who didn't have the alumni top

I am not positive, but I think if they finish their first season and get their pinkie rings they are considered alumni.  I don’t know if that changes if they get cut after that.

Yes. This was posted on the official DCC instagram last week.
Caila was cut after two seasons due to weight, and here they are on their IG highlighting her as alumni.

I don't think anyone knows anything yet from this year's hybrid finals/TC and that is why there are no leaks on here and why social media has been pretty boring.

Yes!  This!  It was so much more fun to watch the show when you felt connected to the ladies. The social media blackout over the past few seasons has made the show so much LESS fun to watch. I remember one year some of the returning girls did live Instagram after finals while they were waiting to get results. It was so cool! Now everything on SM is so controlled and it just feels so inauthentic.

My guess is TPTB think that if there is no real information coming out, that we'll all watch, and ratings will get better.     I think that we may not know who's cut right when it happens, but the producers won't be able to stop all of the cuts, and other info from getting out before the speculated mid-August air date.     I'm sure we'll at least hear some of the scoop from friends and associates of the ones that get cut.

Blonde Jenna who had been cut, moved on the the Spurs dance team and then tried out again was at the event wearing an alumni shirt. It’s possible Brennan just doesn’t have one yet or chose to wear something cuter. So I think they’re all considered an alum if they earned their pinky rings. 
 

I also think @LaurenBrook would chuckle at being called an insider. I think she’s like me (and several others!) that are acquainted with a few DCC or DCC alum and sometimes have info to share! Or did…I’ve aged out of the new squads 😂
