This really does seem to be a good group of guys, especially by this shows standards, and unlike some people, Tayshia seems to be pretty happy about that, instead of imprinting on the first guy she thinks is hot.

I think Dale will end up in the fetal position or rocking back and forth in a corner, saying, Make it stop! He is so inarticulate which is great because Clare will gladly talk enough for both of them. 
Looks like Jason is on the way out. I don’t blame him after that reveal your dark side date with Clare. 
Kenny looks kinda rough for his age, I’m guessing it’s from baking in the sun. I do like his chest tat. 
The new guy with the stache looks straight off a porn set. 
Love EZ calling Spencer a douche and lunch meat. Come to think of it, I’ve never met a spender who wasn’t. 
Other than Jason, the other guys seemed relieved that Clare is gone.

No wonder Jason is heading for the hills, he bared his deepest darkest issues and family history for a woman who didn't look at him again after that and spent the rest of her run ignoring everyone to drool over some other guy. Hope he has access to a whole lot of therapy. 

The bromances are so strong this season, I kind of just want to watch the guys hang out with each other and bro out.

Tayshia seems to be a huge flirt (not an insult, I am too!) This will make her a good, fun, cheerful Bachelorette, but I could also see a lot of guys being blindsided when they are sent home because they'll all think she's into them.

Can’t believe how upset Tayshia is being about Jason leaving. She’s lucky only one left after the guys were all pumped up about somebody else a second ago. It’s nothing against her personally but how do you pull a switch that fast? I feel like there have to be more guys who aren’t happy about the switch but want to stay on the show so are staying quiet. I’m also very sure there are plenty of guys who prefer her and are thrilled.

I do like a fun flirty ette....but I really hope she doesn't stick her tongue down multiple throats in a single day.  Not holding my breath, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.  I don't get the love for ...Brendan?,,,that she is giving.  He's not the cutest guy in the house, and his personality isn't as obvious as some of the others.

I'm actually kind of liking Chris having to actually earn his paycheck this season. I think we've seen him more this season than we have in the previous 6. 

Okay...that top is the one she was wearing when she was supposedly fretting over Jason in her room.

T has a rockin body - not that Claire didn't, but va va voom.

Tayshia seems like a lot of fun, very bubbly and seems to be really excited to be here, and thats a real breath of fresh air after Clare. Honestly, looking back on the season, Clare came in weirdly defensive and intense, she was so desperate to get a shiny new ring that she seemed to be looking at this show like she was going into battle, not coming to have fun, and everyone needed to be totally focused on her even when she couldn't bother being focused on them, while Tayshia actually seems like she is coming here to have fun and meet people. Clare wanted not only to latch onto a future husband, but wanted so badly to project a "tough, take no crap" attitude, that instead she seemed like she was already annoyed at the guys and looking for a fight, and then killed any possible hint of being a "strong women in control of her love life" by following Dale around like a lovesick twelve year old. Tayshia actually just wants to have some fun.

That whole "conversation" with T about how Brandon is her person could not have been about that date.  You never saw her actually saying those things.  I'm glad that an Ette and her beau actually bond over something real and not the fact that they're both pretty and like football. 

I'm surprised she wants 5 kids.  She's 30 now, and planning on 5?  if you have one every other year, I had 1 at 35 and its tiring!  Also I just don't get the "I want real love" vibe from her yet.

Oh, no. Getting divorced is the new hitchhiking dads! At this rate, give each ‘ette two weeks to pick a husband and then bring in the next Bachelorette. I mean, Stagecoach where they all hook up was canceled so you might as well make this Paradise! Next week has Tayshia looking for a “grown-ass man.” Well, then she should have went with Bukowski in Paradise last year!

I'm a little torn between Bennett and Spencer. I feel like they could be slightly douchey but still nice guy besties. I bet Spencer would appreciate an evening spa water and aromatherapy face mask bro-date with Great Value Clark Kent. If not, I'd be willing to take Spencer's spot.

Meh. Tay was about what I expected. She's bubbly and she looks good as befits someone who is an influencer in the beauty sphere/space or whatever she said. 

But if she sends that fine piece Ivan home early while she drools over Turtleneck, Nick Vile lookalike (Zac) and D-bag Spencer, I'm gonna be salty, Real salty.

I like Tayshia. I also liked Clare, though, despite her edit. This group of guys is pretty laid back and I like a lot of them: Ivan, Brendan, Zac, Eazy, Bennett...they seem like a lot of fun.

The less said about Clare, the better but a couple of things...

Why didn't she admonish Dale for saying that when he got out of the limo he thought she was beautiful?  Didn't that one guy get sent home because he said the same thing instead of admiring her strength, resilience and ability to show up??  I guess now that she has Dale she doesn't need to be strong anymore...or she can be strong because he's there...or whatever it is she was trying to sell.  Also, someone should tell Dale that "Lets Do This" is Becca's catchphrase...Clare is all about "Showing Up."  Honestly, I don't wish them ill, but her expectations for the future seem a little unrealistic.  That's great that he's shown up for her during the run of this show, but let's see how the relationship fares outside of the spotlight.  She seems pretty high maintenance and once the shine wears off it seems like she's quick to cut and run.

Tayshia almost lost me in the first few minutes with her use of "Cheers" as a verb.  ("Cheers me" or whatever she said)  I know that's what the kiddos are saying these days, but it's a personal pet peeve.  That being said, she was so much warmer and more articulate than her predecessor that she's getting a second chance.

Even the happy and in-love version of Clare radiates so much stress and tension and drama. And I do believe there's going to be some problem in ClareLand because when Chris asked "what's next?, she was shouting "BABIES," while Dale was saying he'd want to be married before having children. She's not going to want to wait and he is. So time will tell.

 Tayshia isn't my favorite, but she is a relief. She is definitely more attracted to some of them, but she was gracious to all the guys and gave most of them some time. Although my favorite, Dr. Joe, is too invisible. Tayshia did seem to be attracted to d-bag Spencer, but I liked her connection with Brendon (Brandon)??? I liked that he's not flashy. I'm not crazy about her already saying she could see herself marrying him, because obviously we're all exhausted from the Clare fiasco, but it doesn't seem at all like she's going to go Clare's route.

I agree we are seeing a lot more of Chris Harrison. This must be Pandemic Chris. Nowhere to go, nothing to do, might as well show his face.

Haha. She also said something like, “I was there to pick my husband from this group of guys.” As if she’s starving at McDonalds and has to eat the Big Mac or the Quarter Pounder—doesn’t matter if you like the Whopper better, that’s not an option for you. Even though most of these TV engagements don’t work out, Clare really bought into the fantasy of “my husband is in this room.” And I guess if you’re deadset  on marrying one of these guys—like it or not—you might as well zero in on the one with the broadest shoulders, most sparkling smile, and most carefully curated social media page.

ETA: For Tayshia, Brendan is like the Filet O’ Fish. Who the hell ever orders that? But she’s so starving (for male attention after half a year in pandemic lockdown) that after a couple of bites, she decides that he’s not only adequate but might even order him again. Oh, girl, don’t settle for the Filet O Fish. You got some Shamrock Shakes in there with Ivan, Riley, and Eazy.

This episode was such a breath of fresh air.  I didn’t think I would like Taysha, but she was delightful.  And, she had good grammar! I know it’s only the first episode so my opinion may change.

Spencer was really good looking. Totally my type, but I do NOT like his personality. I hope he doesn’t stay long.

Jason seemed really sweet and well spoken. His good-bye speech was so good.

So glad that this show seems to be back in the groove.

I love Spencer. I don't find him super attractive. I mean he looks very 'mundane hot guy' to me. He looks like that guy that was on Pretty Little Liars and then DWTS and now I think he does Hallmark movies. Anyway, Spencer is the type of character I enjoy watching on this show.

I thought Tayshia (someday I will look up how to spell her name but today is not that day) and Brendan (turtleneck) had great chem. Brendan is so adorable. What a normal (seeming at least), quiet guy. It's refreshing. They both seemed pretty smitten with each other already imo.

Zac C. is very New Jersey lol. His face is odd to me. 

I still love Bennett and wished we'd seen more of him. I don't see Tayshia being that interested in him so I'm afraid he'll be gone soon. I'm hoping Production forces her to keep him around though.

If social media is any indication, it's working like magic. Tons of "TAYSHIA IS A QUEEN" and "MY Bachelorette is finally here" type comments from fangirls. 

I don't think the editors had to do much manipulating with either edit.  We are all very familiar with Tayshia.  She's not acting any different from previous seasons.  If you remember, several guys were attracted to her on Paradise Island, so the idea of men falling under her "spell" is nothing new.  

As for Clare, if you look back on previous seasons you'll see that she's always been nutty and desperate.  It's just that Juan Pablo was such a scumbag so it made Clare look angelic in comparison.

I feel very sorry for Dale.  I think he's continuing to go along with this farce because he feels obligated.  I hope there's some way he can exit this relationship gracefully without looking like the bad guy and Clare taking victimhood to a whole new level.

This. He looked like he felt stuck in the moments where he wasn't pretending to be as happy as Clare. Maybe that's just his resting face and maybe he's not pretending but I just don't see him being as into her as she is him. I'm sure he likes her but I don't see someone who wants to get married and have kids with her within the next couple months, which is obviously what Clare wants. Who knows though, maybe they can make it work.
