I am wondering if the results of the next season, which is already completed, weren't any better than the last few and they are not sure they want to release it? It's been really quiet as far as leaks or spoilers, which, you're right @kikicat, it doesn't bode well.

I read that they've got 2 seasons in the can waiting to be shown so I wonder about the results of the 2nd one too. What if they're both trainwrecks?

People online are theorizing that they're editing both seasons to remove anything too scandalous and unsavory. So if and when they finally release them they will likely suffer from looking disjointed, boring, dull and not believable. Way to go, idiots!

This show is trash but I love the awesome discussions it sparks.

The role of marriage has changed in our society in the last 20 years.

New season is supposed to premiere on October 2, per MAFS Fan.

Monsters and Critics said the same thing. They also posted a mini-teaser trailer. They don't show their entire faces but they seem like the same kind of losers we've seen before unfortunately, not people really ready for a committed relationship. I really don't think I'll be watching. I don't need the aggravation.

According to People it's going to be October 15th.

Ummm...cheating? Couple swap? No thanks, I think I'll be skipping this season.

I find it interesting that Juan hates being objectified by women (being objectified is not fun for anyone) yet I saw an interview where he says he prefers to date women in their 20s.

Perhaps they would be more willing to consider marriage and being more serious with a partner if he dated women closer to his age?

Cheating? Couple-swap?!!! WHAT?!!! Can't say I'm surprised about the cheating, now I'll be trying to figure out who. Guess it was inevitable since they all meet practically right after their weddings. But rewarding it by allowing them to swap? I disagree with that. I can't see both spouse simultaneously cheating with other spouse unless... Ew.

Yeah, I'm sitting this season out.  If the producers think this makes some viewers more likely to tune in, because of the drama of cheating and couple-swapping, I've got news for them.

It looks like I will be sitting this season out too for all those reasons plus I will have just too many shows to watch in the next couple of months and I have other things going on as well. So it's going to be a lot easier for me to avoid.

I don’t know that the producers allowed it. Maybe the two people just went off and did it?

The producers seem to think that we care about drama with z-list reality shows.

What would get people interested is an actual successful marriage.

Not me!  Since clearly no one is there to find a spouse, sign me up for cheating and couples swapping! 😂

Seriously! This sounds fantastic! But “I’m Here for the Wrong Reasons”TM The Bachelor. The concept of “couple swapping” likely has a different meaning in this context than it does in, say, that Mormon Moms show on Hulu in which they literally swapped spouses at swingers parties. Here with all of these strangers paired up but spending time together as a group, it was bound to happen that a husband/wife of different couples would feel like they’re better suited for each other and should have been matched up. I swear that within the last few seasons the preview had a husband/wife of different couples kissing each other at some group event—but then it was never shown on the show, as far as I can recall. Does anyone else remember that or am I just making it up?? It could have been from a post-decision day event that I didn’t see, but it was shown all season like it was a part of “the journey.”

You're probably thinking of Dom and Clint from the Nashville season. They made out on a dare at one of those Where are they Now? episode gatherings. The previews probably made it out to be something way more salacious than it really was to keep people tuned in to that boring season.

Yes! That was it! They played that clip all season long making it seem like it was going to happen before decision day, but I didn’t watch the divorced and dating post-season episodes.

It's so difficult to do tho. Building a marriage from complete strangers. Working backwards. It must be so trippy for the guys. Marrying a woman he didn't "earn," & then not feeling like he has to win her over cuz they're already married. Gotta be a psychological trip! I'm shocked any guys with those intentions even agree to participate! I watch to see if it will actually be done. So tired of the quitters wasting screentime. 😒

But then that will make the "experts" look as incompetent as they actually are. Hmm come to think of it maybe I will be tuning in 😜

I think @Lindz you hit the nail on the head.

Most of the guys who come on the show are coming on for the money (probably $25-$30K for the guys, probably less for the women because they probably have more female applicants than male applicants) and do not give an F about the marriage itself.

Also, this is a reality show so they like to have a couple of trainwrecks for the drama.

The problem is that the last seasons have been so bad because we have couples that are going to be failures right out of the gate and do not even get the build-up to be a trainwreck.

I was OK with the show when they had a couple of trainwrecks and failures right out of the gate for the drama. Now it's all trainwrecks/failures. And now nobody is sincere about finding a relationship. At least in the earlier seasons a few of the couples were there sincerely to find someone, now it's like none of them are. Like a lot of reality shows this one has just slid further and further into fake and depressing garbage. These days I need to see something uplifting. If I want to see depressing garbage I can watch TV news, I don't need to add to it by watching this crap.

The problem is that they don't pick any decent people anymore. I think back to some of the successful couples on this show and pretty much all of them were decent, humble, honest, hardworking people. Is that so hard to find anymore? I don't think so. I think they deliberately pick the worst possible participants now because unfortunately they think it draws in a wider audience. It's like the crowd that forms to watch a trainwreck or a car accident. Maybe that's true but in the process they've thrown out any semblance of sincere matching. And for me that's dishonest and counter to their supposed original mission.  I don't see why they couldn't have left it the way it was up until the New Orleans season. I felt that after that is when the wheels really came off the bus on this show.

Even when they were more sincere about matching they mostly picked better examples of humanity. Of course there were big exceptions like Ryan DeNino, Basement Ryan, Chris and that Basketball player, etc. But at least there were better examples chosen alongside them. The better examples may not have worked out either but as you say it's difficult to match people like this, so I never expected that many to work out. But at least they didn't work out honestly, not because they were deliberately destined not to work out. Now it's obvious that they pick them to fail right from the start.

I was a die-hard fan of this show. I was in it even if couples didn't work out. It fascinated me to see how things could go in such a situation and there was always the hope that one or some of the couples might genuinely last. But they crossed a line with me when they started picking such bad examples of humanity to the exclusion of better people. I just don't need to watch people like that or a show that deliberately picks most or even all the couples to fail. Life's depressing enough without watching a show that's guaranteed to be a downer.

I think it probably is, because the majority of them don't want to be on tv 😃

I don't agree especially because we're dealing with the "look at meeee" generation. A lot of people in that age bracket want to be on TV, and they're not all creeps and famewhores.

Well we are seeing who wants to be on tv 😂. You said "decent, humble, honest, hardworking people" and those are the types I don't think want to be on tv!

Congratulations to Amber and her husband with the new baby.

I wouldn't call Matt horrible though; he was just triflin'. 😅

And he just wasn't attracted to Amber.

Matt held off signing the divorce papers even though he was sleeping with many other women because he was hoping to squeeze some money out of Amber. I think Matt's sister even said he was scum.  He might be a con artist but I am not sure.

I swear the only reason these two were matched is because the show thought it was hilarious to match a tall person with a short person.

Anyway, good for Amber, she seemed nice, as far as I could tell.

Most women would have immediately noticed that he was scum, but Amber was so busy climbing him like a tree, she didn't notice right away.

Adding to all the baby news, former Mrs. Shark announced that she has one on the way.

I was not a fan of Lindsey’s (or Mark’s but I thought she was the worse of the pair) - but hey - I guess there is a lid for every pot. Hope her pregnancy is healthy and uneventful.

I guess even the weird crazy people who go on this show can find someone.

Hope everything goes well for her.

MAFS Fan released her decision day spoilers. Says everyone chose to divorce with the exception of Thomas and Camille.

Hopefully Thomas and Camille stayed together for good reasons and not because the show bribed them in a desperate attempt not to have another failure of a season.
