Episode Discussion II: The TFGH

Culture Check: How can we discuss a character's or actor's appearance without objectifying them? How can we express likes or dislikes and still respect an individual's humanity or be mindful that a character represents a person someone else might relate to or identify with?

I felt for  Bard today as he truth-told Lucas. Brad is a person with flaws, more than many people, but he acknowledges them and tries to do better even if he fails much of the time. But he does acknowledge that he`s flawed and today he confessed when at did wrong before he got together with Lucas. He's trying

But it  wasn't good enough for Lucas who seems to want someone without flaws. (Ironic considering he's close to Carly.) If Lucas can't deal with who Brad is, he needs move on and stop making Brad feel like crap for being human.

Thus, his "what if something did come from it" line today in response to Dante line's about that summer and BL.

My head is still hurting from that anvil. But at least it moved the plot infinitesimally.

Wow, the MetroCourt security on all levels is TERRIBLE. Flimsy room windows, easy-access locker rooms where uniforms can be "borrowed," key cards for anyone to obtain, etc. How no one has sued Carly and Olivia is amazing.

They would have if it were Nina still owning half.

Speaking of which, She agreed to support Willow but she should have said that if Willow wants to keep custody of the kids, it would look better if she weren't moving in with another man while still married to Michael, and while Michael is in hospital dealing with severe burs.

I thought summer camp didn't mean the entire summer, but a few weeks?  She'd have to get pregnant, miss a period, then find a pregnancy test.

How long was your summer camp?

Here it's one, two or four weeks. Ironically when I was at riding camp (as a Stable Hand In Training, yes, those are the initials), one of the other ITs did get pregnant from another counsellor.

Is Sonny going to keep the decorator cowbells? (Is cowbells one word or two?)🫤

"More cowbell - More Cowbell." Thanks so much Mr. Christopher Walken.

I mean Sidwell just waltzed right in to the Quartermaine kitchen, where billionaires and a longtime hit man who presumably still has a slew of enemies live.

For a guy who tried to kill a third of Port Charles, it's interesting how Sidwell wanders around the town without a bodyguard.

I haven't been watching again long enough to have seen Sasha when she was apparently a rootable character.  All I've seen is a person dumb enough to choose Jason to be her pretend baby daddy while loudly condemning Willow for distancing her kids from the same people she wants to keep her kid away from.  And today, she basically said that she hates getting "charity" because ...... why, again?

On top of that, Sasha wouldn't have to bleat "why won't the Q's just leave me alone," every day if she wasn't working for them AND living in their home. As the old C&W song goes, "how can they miss you if you won't go away?"

Can Lulu and Kristina start a relationship and have a daughter together so that we won’t have to listen to them prattle on about “MY DAUGHTER!” individually? I’m just so tired.

Looks like we have ourselves a good, old-fashioned smug-off!

Winston Wolfe beat me to it, but I can't resist.
