Culture Check: How can we discuss a character's or actor's appearance without objectifying them? How can we express likes or dislikes and still respect an individual's humanity or be mindful that a character represents a person someone else might relate to or identify with?

I thought that the best thing about today is the relationship between Danny and Rocco. Glad the writers are still keeping that.

Oh, look at Brennan practically drawing Joss a map on how to find Cyrus' hideaway. That's not WSB material, or rather it shouldn't be.

How did Joss know that Austin testified on Cyrus' behalf at his parole hearing? Is she allowed access to those files? (I'm preparing to be disappointed when I hear why Cyrus murdered him.)

Tracy finding Lois in Martin's hotel room makes me ask yet again, why exactly is Lois on the show?

Willow passionately kissing Drew while wearing Michael's rings (nice sapphire there). Have some respect woman. Poor Nina, Carly is the only ally she has.

I adore Chase, but he deserves to be suspended if not fired. If Rocco or Danny get hurt trying to get justice or revenge for Sam, it's his fault. I'm sort of expecting that they'll get in trouble and Jason will be the one to save them.

I would forgive the show a lot if it's Dante or Chase or even Molly who saves them. Anyone but Jason saving them as he saved Sasha, Cameron, Trina  and everyone else. That trope is so old, it's on life support.

Rocco sure eavesdrops a lot.

How else is he going to find out anything? No one talks to him.

I thought Brad handled Curtis's absurd implied threat really well. And if anyone should worry about Selina Woo, it should be Curtis. I'm pretty sure she'll choose Brad, her nephew, over Curtis, a wienie who has always had an overinflated idea of his own importance.

It is an heirloom ring that originally belonged to Lila. She should give the ring back but if not stop wearing it and save the ring for Wylie or Amelia.

Joss is totally WSB material, you guys. I mean, today she GOOGLED Cyrus. That is top spy craft right there. Then she went back to ask Brennan to get more info for her, after he just spoon fed her. It would take months for Carrie Matheson or Sidney Bristow to come up with such genius moves.

Just how old is Brooklyn supposed to be? Having a baby 21 years ago and that young man now being in college suggests she’s at least 40 when I thought she was in her 30s

I was doing the math too. If she was 16, which is the youngest she would be, then she'd be 37.

This story is devoid of any mystery. I think BLQ was in PC as a teenager. The only reason they're giving her a retconned child is so that Lulu can clutch her pearls and hate Brooklyn more than she already does as she makes my ears bleed over her search for my daughter.

Hey guys, did you know that Gio is Brooklyn and Dante’s baby? What a cliffhanger! I had no idea that was the big sekrit! None I tell you! Gosh these writers are good. So suspenseful! And how exactly does Lois have the money to pay Martin? I’m sure he doesn’t come cheap but she just immediately wired him the retainer like it was pocket change. For that matter, why is Lois? She serves absolutely no purpose on this show and I’m getting really tired of her outlandish outfits and ‘worried’ faces.

oh look, Chase decided to tell Dante, but made him pinky swear that he won’t do anything about it. So of course Rocco was eavesdropping and then immediately called Danny to tell him that Cyrus killed Sam.  Because what could possibly go wrong with two 14 year old boys having that information? Not like either of them will go after Cyrus or even blurt out that they know he killed Sam, when they see him in public. 🙄

previews: noted bigot Natalia is back tomorrow, as is Lulu and her ‘my daughter is the only thing that matters’ campaign. When was the last time she saw or spoke to Rocco? Does she even remember she has a son?

I'm sure Lois gets a cut of Miguel's Spotify earnings. Or they used one of Eddie Maine's songs in like a truck commercial or something.

This whole Gio story has been such a waste of time. There is no suspense and as I said before outside of Dante being in the dark and having some feelings there everyone likes Gio, he has good relationships with everyone and this is an inconsequential change to the canvas. Compare this to say Carly's intro or even Alexis/Sam. There is no drama here except maybe some momentary butt hurt. Meh. MEH I say!

Actually, he didn’t. When Molly dropped Danny back at home, he told Rocco that Sam had been murdered. And Rocco told him he knew-found out when he overheard Dante and Chase. But Rocco did tell Danny that the cops suspect Cyrus.

This NuBrennan continues to be so charisma-free. And why can’t the WSB conduct their own investigation into Cyrus? Oh right, because these murders are local. And it still escapes me why he’s setting the moron Joss.

Curtis needs to take SEVERAL seats and mind his own fucking business.

Okay so he didn’t call Danny. But he wasted no time telling him who the police suspect. So I stand by my statement. Nothing good will come from two teenagers being privy to that information. Especially when one of them is the victim’s son and his father is a mob hitman.

In Joss's defense, she did the googling herself unlike a seasoned pro like Sam who would have had Spinelli do the googling for her.

On that I totally agree. I could tell from Danny’s expression he’s planning on doing something.

Just two minor questions after today's show:

Apparently Sam's family knew she'd been given a fatal dose of digitalis, but are only now finding out that it was purposeful.  Even with what they thought was a medication accident, why didn't they file a wrongful death lawsuit against GH?

If Joss could  look up parole information about Cyrus on the internet, why did Lucky have to ask Rick to get it for them?

I actually messed up on the math there as I added Gio’s minimum current age to the 21 years instead of Brooklyn’s possible minimum age when she had him. But I was close lol
