  1. Any word on whether Anna and kids visited him? I would think TMZ or some other media would be parked nearby. Or is the view of the house not accessible from the road?
  2. We set up a revocable living trust for our kids. It was pretty easy. We updated our wills. A recent death in the family made me realize that a trust was the way to go. FYI
  3. I give kudos to Jill for walking away from her family ( to some extent). It can't have been easy. I don't agree with Derrick about so many things but he was right to see that they were just players in JBs game. When you consider how she was raised I think she has made enormous progress. Imagine being told you can't return to your old family home without permission ( and probably without your husband). Now Derrick is studying for a real job and her kids will go to public school. That is progress for someone raised in a cult.
  4. What the hell is wrong with Robyn's neck? Even my husband remarked on it.
  5. I think, though it was poorly written, that the vows meant that without Christ I would naturally focus on my own needs first but with Christ I will become your humble servant. At least that is my take on it.
  6. Herriot wrote that Seigfried always proclaimed quite loudly that he never understood why people kept dogs as pets, yet he had 5 himself. And later on Herriot was often accompanied on rounds by a dog of his own. Some of the descriptions of the household dogs were so charming and funny. I cannot like this version very much. I preferred the older series, which followed the books more closely and did a much better job with the character of Seigfried.
  7. And while I'm here I also hate the "gush" commercials. Enough already! My hubby winces every time they come on.
  8. I hate the Progessive commercial with the kids opening Christmas gifts. I HATE it. I HATE it!
  9. I miss old Mandy too...she was my favorite Baxter. Our tv station didn't carry the first episode, which annoyed me so much. Almost didn't recognize Ryan without the face hair.
  10. Well, whoever wins, I'm anxious to see the other 2 teams squeal with glee and congratulate them for winning $1,000,000 while they who helped them along got nothing. I'm hoping for Hung and Chee or the beards. Anyone but Will and James. If those 2 do win they had better have smelling salts ready . I predict dramatic swooning. Make alliances illegal.
  11. Anyone been up to coyote pass to see if there is any building going on. We will be in Flagstaff Tuesday...might check it out.
  12. I HATE this phrase. Tony and I are expecting a baby...fine! But Tony and I are pregnant...I can never get used to couples saying this.
  13. Well. In the minority here but I enjoyed this episode. Just wish IN had not been back in the episodes.
  14. Thank you for this information. I applaud their decision to raise their daughter as normally as possible and not to consider herself a victim. I hope that surgery and other treatments will make life easier for that sweet baby. And I agree that making this known in the show may encourage further research into this rare genetic condition.
  15. Didn't they end up buying a $900,000 house? Kody should have given up and when it was time to move out brought them to a motel...that's a rental, no? And he should stop "freaking out MY kids".
  16. There are so many simple answers to this "problem" That's 60 minutes of my life that I'll never get back.
  17. So all these years the Browns have been claiming that the Warren Jeffs version of polygamy is an anomaly...not representative of real polygamists. Then he (and shockingly his WIVES) trot out Kyle Henderson, who viciously beat his wife, while making their children watch. And this asshole (Kyle, in this instance) says when asked about plural marriage, "Is there any other kind?". My sister watched the interview his wife gave and it was horrible, the treatment she received. Apparently, there was a trial and Kody came in as a character witness for Kyle. Honest to God, no one deserves to be treated like that. I'm sickened to my core.
  18. You are probably correct.
  19. I just read that this couple will not be appearing in any episodes because of Tony's bank job. Kody, "I mean when you're on a reality TV show, and you're trying to work at a bank it becomes extremely awkward. They try to distance themselves so they can have their own private lives.". Then the author of the article claims that Tony's job sounds " very high level and prestigious". Somehow I doubt that.
  20. Carolina's wedding, especially her gown and dance with hubby, was a recreation of Beauty and the Beast. Get she saw the video of movie.
  21. I agree. Kids have nothing to lose and lots to gain by hounding you and hounding you for something. The trick is to stand firm even when totally exhausted until they get the idea that your no means no!
  22. I hope this is the right place to post this. If you are interested in odd lifestyles like polygamy or the Amish, check out Gloriavale on Prime. It's about a strange group ( some might say cult) in New Zealand. There are just 3 episodes but her interesting!
  23. My sister and I were thinking of driving to Flagstaff to see if there's been any action at the Coyote Pass property.
  24. Well, I like this show even though hubby doesn't...creepy enough to keep me coming back. I guess the 4 girls are a little much with their bickering, but I can see it happening. But Grandma! Just buy those kids anything so she doesn't have to interact with them. Are there really things like that out there? I'm way behind the times when it comes to technology.
