I’m 99.9% sure Meghan said she was sent a “dick pic” when they were discussing the middle school teacher story. As someone who was victim blamed by my principal when an 18 year old male student assaulted me in Nov 2016, I am not blaming the female teacher at all for this fiasco. However, common sense should dictate that sending a nude photo is never a good thing, especially in certain professions. If she’s 25, this means she was most likely very certain of what she profession she was going into at age 22 (when the photo was taken). I agree with Sunny that personal time is different than being at work, but there’s a certain unspoken rule for teachers about their conduct and behavior outside of the classroom, especially if a teacher lives anywhere close to where they work. Sometimes the things teachers engage in during their personal time DO follow them into the classroom and their students are indirectly impacted by those choices. For example, I’ve worked with several teachers who would go out and get wasted every single weeknight. They would come to work, totally hung over and end up half assing their lesson plans because of how awful they felt. Students can do (and have done!) their own online deep dive searches of their teachers and can find out tons of information not just about me, but my own mother! As a middle/high school teacher myself, I scrubbed my Facebook page and removed all photos of me with with any alcoholic beverage in my hand before my first year of teaching. Even though my page is private, employers can still (somehow) see what is posted. I do hope the teacher does get her job back. I also really want the origin of how the photo became distributed to be discovered ASAP, with appropriate consequences doled out to the responsible party/parties. Before my Mom ever got sick she was on a dating site or two and we'd both be shocked at the ages and professions of men that sent her unsolicited "dick pics". Most of them didn't show their heads apparently (I only saw a couple of them for a couple of seconds) but a few did. One guy who seemed proud to show his face was a mental health professional who was in a different state and a google search showed he was supposedly a respected professional in the city he lived in. My Mom didn't take pics like that of herself so they never got anything in return. The guys seemed more interested in showing off something they thought was so great everyone would want to see. 🤢 6 3 Link to comment

I thought it was ODD that Abby said something like, "I knew Whoopi wouldn't let this happen without giving me something." That's the gist of it. ODD! 1 9 Link to comment

I read that the photo was sent to her boyfriend at the time, who happened to be a teacher in the same district, but was teaching at a different school site. I also thought Joy said the photo came to surface after it somehow became known that a student at the female teacher’s site was in possession of it. $5 says it’s a revenge porn smear campaign. I’ll bet that the ex-boyfriend somehow managed to distribute it via specific students who have siblings at the middle school site. With some exceptions, most secondary teachers in a school district either know each other or we’ve heard about each other, especially when we are still in touch with former students. I haven’t been watching the show for as long as many of you, but something tells me that Whoopi most likely sent the gifts to Abby at home and didn’t want a big announcement made about it, especially since I didn’t see the other hosts give Abby anything (other than Joy making lasagne). For example, I’ve worked with several teachers who would go out and get wasted every single weeknight. They would come to work, totally hung over and end up half assing their lesson plans because of how awful they felt Specifically, the first paragraph I quoted here - At the district I work at, for the longest time we had a teacher/parent/student contract. Each person had a set of "agreements" that they would read, sign, and try to adhere to. For example: the student section included coming to school on time, doing homework, being respectful; the parent section included things like attending parent/teacher conference, sending child to school on time, listening to them read. The teacher section had a variety of things but the one that stood out was that "we" (the teachers) would be role models for the students. A few teachers were always a bit wary about that particular line. One of my friends (who is gay) said what if a parent disagreed with how someone dressed, found out their religion and did not agree with it, or was homophobic? I had issues with that statement as well as a few others. So I think my sympathy is for the teachers but I agree with Bridget's second paragraph that certain actions do follow us back to the classroom. 4 Link to comment

So many great causes to show up to and make a difference in your society and they showed up to take pictures and get an autograph of a celebrity who used her wealth to take advantage of a system that in the end, robbed a well deserving kid of their dream to pursue their education at an establishment of their choice. I'd bet a lot of money that not a single one of those people had a child that could potentially be affected by her snake antics because if they did, they would be there telling Aunt Becky to take several fucking seats, not smiling and asking for autographs. It says a lot about the current sad state of affairs. 8 Link to comment

tribeca April 6, 2019 Share April 6, 2019 Both celebrity guest were very charming and interacted well with all the hosts. Abby was a little silly with Levi and checking if his muscles were real. Joy seemed amused though so it’s all good. I am tired of the joe Biden story too. It’s obvious this will stop him from running and we will be stuck with Trump for another four hundred years. My grandma says that’s the only thing she enjoys about being in her eighties. She won’t have to live through another four hundred Trump term. I liked Megan’s hair. Her hairstyles are hit or miss but at least she goes for it. I just put my hair up in a ponytail and call it a day. 5 Link to comment

I thought she would end up hitting her face or her shoulder a couple of times as she reached across her--and closely. Ana just sat there like, "Surely this nonsense will stop in a second." The story goes that when Zachary Levi started his PR tour for the film, he stated those were ALL his muscles and whined about not being believed after "all the hard work" he put in Apparently now he has to tell the same corrected "not ALL my muscles" story on every talk show--without feelies. Maybe Abby was part of his redemption tour. 9 Link to comment
