Mama June Shannon & boyfriend Geno Doak undergo dental makeovers to fix their broken & missing teeth!

@druzy every time she gets a freebie/makeover it just makes her think she can skate by again without any consequences. It seems like she is going to have to hit rock bottom before she has a come to Jesus moment and doing things like this for her isn't helping.

So, I think that the comedienne who helped Alana, Kara with a "K," was on last season of America's Got Talent.  She made it past the first round, but not all the judges liked her.  She seemed more likeable on this show than on AGT.  

Thanks @druzy for the article about the tooth makeover.  Now, if we could just please get Geno on Dr. Pimple Popper to remove that neck lump.

For one brief moment while watching the scene of everyone eating tater tot casserole, I saw something green and thought 'OMG! Pumpkin is serving salad!' Then I looked closer and realized it was just a big bowl of Skittles.

Their diet is just appalling-feeding that stuff to poor little Ella, who also sucks constantly on a bottle of something red (and no doubt full of sugar).

Is WEtv bribing the Hampton school board or something? How on earth could a kid who's been home-schooled by freaking JUNE SHANNON for several years possibly be qualified for high school?

I'll start with a question:  Did they show Jennifer's red bathing suit photo shoot a la "Baywatch"?  During the last episode I recall watching she was on the beach but in a wrap, then  last night they gave a quick glimpse of her, from the boobies up, in the swim suit but I don't recall seeing the actual shoot.

Next, I call bullshit on Alana pretending to snort coke at the end of last night's episode.  Yes, I know she actually did that, but it seems like that was a looooong time ago, like right after she first moved in with Pumpkin & Josh.  I remember when it happened and also, if you'll notice, her hair is much longer now than it was when she faux snorted.  They had her wear a similar blue shirt, which I give them credit for, but still.....  Or I could be wrong.  I know they didn't film these episodes last week.

Tater Tot Casserole, favorite meal of the Duggars!  What was that gray stuff on the bottom?  Cream of mushroom soup?  After seeing what their mother went through with her surgery, I would think Pumpkin would have enough sense to start trying to serve less fattening and more nutritional meals to her family.  I noticed Ella's red drink and am betting it's Kool-Aid.  I can't put the entire blame on Pumpkin for their meal choices.  Josh is an adult and nothing is stopping him from helping with the cooking and Alana, while still young, isn't too young to help with food selection.  I know she's back in school now, but it wouldn't kill her to fix a meal now and then.  Just not sketti.

The more I seek Doe Doe the less I like her.  And her dentist should be shot.  But she's getting her 15 minutes and raking in the Dough Dough (see what I did there?) and has a nice house, vehicle, and presentable clothes.  I guess I can't blame her.  Amber seems the most normal-ish of the whole lot.

I've got to say, I really like Pumpkin and Josh.  I'm impressed with what they're doing/trying to do and it warms my heart to see how committed they both are to Alana.

I still despise Jennifer, although must give her credit for eating salad in a pizza place.  What was Sugar Bear eating?  Meatballs?

I agree with whomever said the school board must be on the take.  While Alana has a fairly good vocabulary, there's no way she could possibly qualify to be a freshman.

And Big Mike is useless.

Liam was found not guilty only because the three men were masked and the jury did not think the evidence presented was enough.  The prosecutor is convinced he was one of the men. And one of them cut a plea deal.  Anyway, Liam's dead now.

Yes, June said she started trust funds for the kids, but I really doubt it was in any account she couldn't spend herself.     I suspect if any money is left for Alana, that it's not much, and if there are any payments now, the production company is paying it through the sister that has custody.  I think in most states, minors don't get payments.   

About Alana going into the school grade after June's 'home schooling', I bet it's like keeping kids back a grade.   It simply doesn't happen these days unless the parent or guardian wants that to happen.

June long ago spoke of "trust funds," but they were really trust bank accounts that she set up and, of course, could access and spend.  I read that Pumpkin was able to get control of at least some of Alana's money before June could run through it all.  Anything being paid now would be out of June's control.

I assumed Alana was doing some sort of online curriculum.  I doubt June would be up to following the laws regarding record keeping for attendence and curriculum.

The approved methods of home school curriculum vary by the state, so I'm sure that there was a decent curriculum that had to be followed.    I know that K-12 (I think that's the name) is one of them for Georgia.   

I hope Alana has something in mind besides being on TV shows.    The money will run out someday, and then she won't have anything to fall back on.

Sneer if you will, but I got a lump in my throat watching the family come together to support Alana in last night's episode. I especially liked Alana saying that living with her sister makes her happy, and Pumpkin saying softly 'You are not a burden'.

And I have no idea who Dr. Ish is, or what his qualifications are, but he did a good job of getting all of them to understand how generational dysfunction can be, and how important it is to think about WHY you're doing something risky. None of it seemed particularly scripted or rehearsed, either, imo.

Sugar Bear sounded very toothless and mush mouthed; I don't understand why he doesn't get subtitles on the regular. I have no idea what he said last night, at all.

Watching the episode last night, I couldn't help but be concerned about how unhealthy everyone on this show is except Sugar Bear.  I've had up and down weight all my life and I know how hard it is to lose weight, but for an entire family plus spouses to be so severely out of shape is awful.  We've seen years of Alana's family meals consisting of nothing more than fats, sugar and carbs.  Each one is a walking heart attack.  I wish there was someone who could get through to these people the importance of losing weight.  Anyone who's over 200 pounds has a difficult time performing daily activities.  Even getting out of a chair is difficult.  So sad.

For being as young as they are, Pumpkin and Josh really have the potential to be good parents (although the swearing could be toned down).  Somebody somewhere gave Pumpkin a parenting role model but it sure wasn't June.

If Doe Doe can get new teeth from this show, I don't know why Sugar Bear can't.

This really was a tearjerker of an episode. I feel so bad for Alana. She is a really good kid.  Pumpkin is overwhelmed and she is still just a kid. I feel bad that they are struggling, but she and Josh are really doing right by Alana.  It was good, and important, for Alana to hear out loud that her family loves her. So much else is going on that they have to worry about, but that is something I hope gives her some strength.

I have to say, June does look rough with the missing teeth and ratty hair, BUT she really doesn't seem to have gained much weight. She's still half the size of anyone else in her family (except Sugar Bear and Ella).  And yet she's not meth-skinny, either.

Ella is really a little charmer, I'm mostly watching for her at this point.

I'd kind of like to know how Pumpkin can afford multiple pizzas/junk food, eyelashes, facial masks, etc., on the pay of an RV sewage-cleaner (Josh)?

Ugh, where to begin...SugarBear should worry about his teef more than his weiner..There are some times where I like Jennifer and then other times I just want to smack her for her smugness, sorry honey, you will never be hot ( although her new haircut is flattering for her).

I felt bad for Alana about her one school friend who couldn't come, If I were a parent, I am not sure I would let my tween spend the night at her barely adult 20 year old sisters house, especially if I never met them. I give Pumpkin and Josh a lot of credit for taking on the parenting role as best they can.  I know we saw the other sister briefly, I wonder about Anna ? Didnt Anna and MJ have a falling out about money anyway ?  I also heard that Anna was basically raised by June's mom and only "moved" in when they were filming.

Production paid for it and probably even did the shopping as it was part of making the episode. 

I'm guessing the mother of the other girl was probably equally driven off by filming the kid for this kind of show as she was by the behavior.

Honestly, I thought she looked better than the last time she was featured on the show.  Then again, that's a very low bar. 

So, a few episodes ago Jennifer mentioned her granddaughter.  I can't stop wondering if her dad is Jennifer's creepy son that they showed during her wedding, and during another episode or two.  I don't meant to be unkind, but something about that guy really gave me the creeps.  Yeah Jennifer, if he's the result, you're a GREAT mom!!

I also wonder what happened to Doe Doe's younger son who was in one episode a couple of years ago, and Alana wasn't very nice to him.  He seems shy, and I bet he decided he didn't want to be filmed again.

I thought Pumpkin worked at a Walmart?   June is messing up her life and that of her children but for Sugar Bear to be airing his ED and how he's "fixing" the problem is probably very embarrassing for Alana to deal with in high school.  Too much sharing.
 

If Jennifer really cared about Alana she would be trying to help Pumpkin instead of competing with her and putting her down.  I don't care what their differences are, the children should always come first. I find her repulsive.

I admit I was entertained by the whole pageant part- both little girls are very cute, although clearly, Ella is a much bigger ham than Harper. She's such a fragile looking little thing compared to her oversize, lumpy parents.  I guess Pumpkin and Josh's principles are very stretchy; so much for 'we'll never put Ella into the tawdry world of reality show hoes'. Side note: why are the ringleader/organizers of these pageants always the 'before' picture for a 600 Lb. Lifer??

I never really understood why Pumpkin, MJ and others were always putting Josh down. He did marry the mother of his child and Ella seems well cared for and happy. The child model scam was clearly scripted. Other than that he seems the most stable of the lot. I wish Pumpkin would treat him more kindly, I mean, I don't think she would willingly do his job at the rv plac

I think that Alana doesn't have any work ethic but I was impressed that somewhere  she seems to have learned touch typing. That really surprised me.

I catch this show now and then, but watched last night’s episode. I hate Jennifer. What Sugar Bear sees in her is anyone’s guess. I’m glad Ella won the pageant, just so Jennifer had to eat crow and shut her damn mouth. The only reason she wants custody of Alana is the money Alana makes from the show. At least Sugar Bear knows his daughter is being well cared for with Pumpkin.

The first 13 minutes felt like an hour.  Mike looks immensely larger to me.  Did I miss how heavy he was before? 

The whole pageant thing was just episode fodder that production pulled in to make an episode.  Ugh.  If they make Pumpkin and Jennifer get along, what do they have left except the odd Mama June has people after her drama?

Jennifer is on the show for the money and the ersatz fame.  She will play any role they ask.  She doesn't really want custody of Alana; neither does Sugar Bear.  But the phony conflict is supposed to make this interesting; it's not working.  Jennifer hated June then hates Pumpkin with no reason to do so.  Pumpkin and Josh have really stepped up to take care of Alana, provide stability and try to give her a sense of normality.  Unfortunately they are also still on the show which works against those goals.  I understand the desire and, to some extent, need for the money.  It's a shame this is the way they are getting it. 

The ridiculousness of acting like Jennifer is also battling for cutest child - what a load of producer driven garbage.  

Big Nazi was always huge.  Now he looks like a candidate for My 600 Lb Life.  Of course he would have to want to change, and that show likes to show people with little or no clothes on.  Not sure how they would handle the nazi tattoos.

Harper, you never stood a chance. And the whole time she was just like, "Leave me the eff alone and let me play!" Ella is all winning personality! This kid has a lot of appeal. She is a natural on a stage.

Do you think Jennifug is really this competitive and do you really think she resents Pumpkin this much or do you think that;s all coaching from the producers?

There was a blind item a couple of months ago that implied that June was reduced to turning tricks, with Geno as her pimp, which kind of lines up with what is going on with the show now. I don't doubt it. It just sucks that everyone else is getting caught in the sh*tstorm.

well there was a line not to read while eating.
