tv echo April 13, 2015 Share April 13, 2015 (edited) Speculation that SA's social media presence contributed to his being cast as Casey in TMNT 2... 'Arrow' Star Joins 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2,' Brings His 3M Facebook FriendsScott Mendelson Contributor 4/01/2015 @ 10:01AMhttp://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2015/04/01/arrow-star-and-his-social-media-followers-joins-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-2/ I’m not saying Stephen Amell got cast as Casey Jones because his Facebook page has 3.4 million “likes”, his Instagram account has 800,000 followers, and he has 782,000 Twitter followers (he apparently had terrific chemistry with Megan Fox). But if you have to choose between two capable actors for a role, you might tend to go with the one with the massive social media following and who uses that following to sell the heck out of his or her would-be products. We are still very early in terms of determining to what extent stars with copious social media “fans” can translate that online fandom into ticket sales and ratings. catrox14 April 13, 2015 Share April 13, 2015 Barrowman got his start in musical theatre in London. He was a pretty big deal in the West End for like 20 years before he ever got on Doctor Who. Bit of a flashback but the first time I saw John Barrowman in any role was his role as a Nazi in The Producers. He appears around 0:42 and he's a really good singer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiryTUCtLNA 1 Link to comment
thuganomics85 April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 Tonight's Game of Thrones had a pleasant surprise: Rila Fukushima (Tatsu), made an appearance as a random Red Priestess, that Tyrion and Varys were watching speak. It was fun seeing her on that show. 2 Link to comment

Kordi April 28, 2015 Share April 28, 2015 (edited) SA on the set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II in NYC: Video 1 For some reason I can´t watch the first video. Instead I got an error message: "The content of this video cannot be reproduced." :-( Something isn´t functioning. Is there any YouTube (or other) link to this content? I´m so curious! A first comment, based on the pics: Is Casey Jones going to have SHORT hair? In the comics, his hair is long. However, I prefer SA with short hair. It´s bad enough to see the "island wig" week after week in the Arrow flashbacks! Edited April 28, 2015 by Kordi 1 Link to comment

Chaser May 1, 2015 Share May 1, 2015 I'm so back and forth on this movie. I want to SA fighting on the big screen, but seeing the BTS of Megan Fox's character going undercover in a Britney Spear Inspired School Girl outfit...just Ugh. I also really don't want to watch him with someone who is not Felicity/EBR. Which is a little pathetic. Link to comment
lemotomato May 1, 2015 Share May 1, 2015 I don't like that he's going to be more or less clean shaven for the movie, based on the BTS photos. SA looks so much hotter with more stubble. 4 Link to comment
statsgirl May 1, 2015 Share May 1, 2015 At least being clean shaven means that it's not Oliver Queen making out with Megan Fox. 5 Link to comment

foreverevolving May 2, 2015 Share May 2, 2015 (edited) To be honest.. I don't care about the movie. I find the repeated making of TMNT into a real action movie laughable, some stuff should remain in cartoon form only. Edited May 2, 2015 by foreverevolving 1 Link to comment

tv echo May 5, 2015 Share May 5, 2015 (edited) Confirmed: Torchwood audio adventures in productionNews Rob Leane 5 May 2015 - 08:20http://www.denofgeek.com/tv/torchwood/33630/confirmed-torchwood-audio-adventures-in-production Since John Barrowman hinted at some Torchwood radio plays back in January, we’ve been awaiting some official confirmation. Today, it finally came, in the shape of an announcement from Doctor Who audio adventure specialists Big Finish. They’ve confirmed a series of six audio productions, led by John Barrowman as Captain Jack. We’re told by Blogtor Who that these audio dramas ‘will each focus on different members of the Torchwood team, exploring the impact that a mysterious event has on them.’ The first of these character studies will centre on Captain Jack, will be titled The Conspiracy, written by David Llewellyn, and will be released in September 2015. strikera0 May 8, 2015 Share May 8, 2015 Katie Cassidy is filming a new movie: Miles Fisher Set To Topline ‘The Wolves At The Door’ At New Line Miles Fisher has joined the cast of New Line’s upcoming period thriller The Wolves At The Door. Set in 1969, the film follows four friends spending a night in a posh Los Angeles mansion, who find themselves beset by a quartet of deadly killers. Fisher will star opposite Arrow actress Katie Cassidy. The Wolves At The Door is directed by frequent James Wan-cinematographer John Leonetti, from a script by Gary Dauberman. Peter Safran is producing. Shooting is scheduled from mid-May to late June in Los Angeles. Fisher’s most recent film is the 2014 satirical comedy Believe Me; he is currently appearing in a recurring role on the FXX sitcom Man Seeking Woman. Starfish35 May 10, 2015 Share May 10, 2015 So NBC's schedule came out today, and there's no mention anywhere of Warrior, the show that Rila Fukushima was in. So apparently it's dead. On the bright side, I hope this means more Tatsu in season four, if the Suicide Squad movie hasn't taken Katana off the table. 3 Link to comment

foreverevolving May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 (edited) Isn't that what Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is? This is what the post says: Really excited. Just signed onto a new movie basically to make my daughter happy. So cool. Details to come... I don't think it is TMNT since he's already filming it so it really wouldn't be a new signed role, and this sounds like he just landed it. There's several options coming out in 2017 and 2018 that I think could be it, like Smurfs 3, Lego 2, Madagascar 4, How to Train a dragon 3. All of these sound like something that could work with Stephen current status, he's not an A or B list so no way will he get a lead in a brand new children movie (considering his past roles too), but a lead or side role in a sequel? Smurfs 3 sounds like the best option since I believe NPH publicly said he will not be returning to that franchise and usually you tend to see B/C list actors replace the big stars in sequels (there are several examples all of which sunk at the box office I believe.., but Lego 2 is also an option. both would fit into "movies you would let your under 5 year old child to watch" I would pay money to see him in the new Harry Potter "Fantastic Beasts..." but I don't think that is the project. It can also be a DC comics related animation movie, but there is no scheduled one I could fine. the next one is "Justice League: Gods and Monsters" but it is due to be out in July of this year. could be a yet to be announced movie. foreverevolving May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 Some people think it's for Finding Nemo 2. That would be huge. It could be... but it's due next year and it's an animated movie, don't they usually do the voices at least a year before the movie is even released? I mean most animated I know usually base the characters movement upon the ones the actor does in the studio, isn't it? 1 Link to comment
BkWurm1 May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 Well, he's done a bit of animated voice over so he'd at least come with experience. If he did a live action movie like the Smurfs 3, I could see why he'd firmly label it ahead of time as FOR MY DAUGHTER. It could totally flop and no one would hold it against him. I think I'd have to see that even if I had to watch cringing through my fingers. Link to comment
romantic idiot May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 I didn't know Jeremy Jordan was going to be on Supergirl. Now I am going to have to watch. Frak. On topic-ish maybe Arrow could do a lighter version of the Three Ghosts storyline with Oliver in a coma? That way SA would not have to dance. Because we must have them dance, right? Link to comment

FurryFury May 15, 2015 Share May 15, 2015 Guess this is the last nail in the coffin of Teen Wolf for me, I was already unsure if I'll return after the awful season 4, but the possibility of seeing Jackson again is the last straw. Link to comment
Sakura12 May 15, 2015 Share May 15, 2015 (edited) I thought Jackson turned into a regular wolf at the end? Either way I'll still watch, I didn't mind season 4 it wasn't as good as season 3 but I enjoyed it. That's probably because I binge watched season 1-3 while 4 was airing, then caught up and watched the finale live. It was hard for me to get past season 1 that one was the worst imo. The Scott/Alison romance was a NyQuil romance as one of the recappers here called it. I actually fast forwarded some of their scenes because I couldn't handle it. The other characters making fun of Scott is what got me to keep watching. Edited May 15, 2015 by Sakura12 1 Link to comment
Chaser May 15, 2015 Share May 15, 2015 CH grew so much as an actor on Arrow, I'm curious to see what he can do with the part now. I do imagine a few years in London may have matured the character a bit. But I do appreciate a good snark from CH, so I hope that hasn't changed. 1 Link to comment
bethy May 15, 2015 Share May 15, 2015 I'm excited to hear Colton will be back on Teen Wolf. The landscape in Beacon Hills has changed dramatically since Jackson left, and it will be interesting to see how they all deal with him back in the mix. I can't remember where things left off in terms of the Kanima/Wolf thing. I think maybe he is "just" a wolf now? Link to comment
FurryFury May 15, 2015 Share May 15, 2015 Oh, I totally agree on Scott/Alison but I loved Alison herself after the break-up and I think the show has never quite recovered after losing her. I binged 1-2 and watched seasons 3 and 4 live, I loved 3B the most but Alison's death was hard to take in. And now there is so much unnecessary stuff like the new boring guy that I just can't see any place for Jackson. Plus, he really, really bugged me. Like, I wanted to kill him after the first few episodes and it never went away. I didn't find him likable in the least and I think I'll always have a tiny bit of dislike for CH simply because of that role (plus, I don't think he's a good actor anyway). 1 Link to comment
foreverevolving May 16, 2015 Share May 16, 2015 (edited) OMG! he can sing even better than I thought he can! BkWurm1 May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 (edited) After watching this video I Googled Stephen's current pictures seriously thinking there had to be some subtle cosmetic surgery done to change him from this guy that resembles that terrible douchey picture of him in that flashback that Felicity called cute. I was thinking the nose but in a side by side comparison I see nothing. It's just the gift of maturity. I have a feeling he's one of these guys that is just going to get better looking as he ages. It's more than just the stubble too in my opinion. It reminds me of David Boreanaz. Back in his Angel days I did not see the attraction but I saw it big time a few years later when he moved on to Bones. As for the singing...it's just more proof we need a massive crossover involving the Music Meister. Edited May 17, 2015 by BkWurm1 5 Link to comment

manbearpig May 18, 2015 Share May 18, 2015 Has he stopped filming TMNT already? Of everything going on in that movie the thing I'm most surprised about is the fact that they managed to snag Laura Linney! How did they get her and why did she agree to be in that mess?
