I just think they could have shown some level of maturity for these two, but it's not going to happen.

It's not good *soap.* Other characters should be calling them hot garbage and laughing in their faces right now. Vic should tell Billy she wants him out of her life, not crying and fighting for him like a pathetic loser. And you know that's coming. It's insanity.

Well, Billy and Phyllis were never written as mature characters. Phyllis was insane and Billy was a screw up. These idiots deserve one another. Now, if only they would interact off screen I would be thrilled. Seeing them together makes me want to vomit.

This actress can't play insane, not like Michelle Stafford! :)

I am more use to this Billy now, the last one looked half dead.lol

True. This Billy is full-on dead in pallor, brainpower, and personality.

You know, I don't particularly care for Victoria, but if she is going to pine for Billy, she is going to look like the biggest damn fool on the show.

OK I really enjoyed the excitement generated by the parking lot sequence.  That was compelling.  Thank you, Show.  I particularly admire that you went to the continuity trouble of slapping Wisconsin plates on Jack's car.  And I liked the Wisconsin palm tree too.  And I like that it is April in Wisconsin, where you'd always leave your top down or your window open.  Show, you are in top form.

Also why is Kneel turning into a porn star?  From the 70s.

Awww, I was just beginning to like Cowboy Billy when he left (back east for family issues I think)...sure, he looked a bit weathered but I kinda like that look... it looked good on him anyway. But this one??JT is a big big miscast!!  This whole "Philly" thing is just really awful. My FF finger is getting crampy.

Just as Billy is going to tell Vic his big news, she gets an emergency call from Drinki, who is livid with whatever Prick has done lately.  Vic apologizes and rushes out and Billy snarls at her, why can’t they talk now.  He’s so unappealing.

I am going to admit right now that I don’t have the energy to fully recap all of the Brash and Gassy stuff, but suffice it say, Juliet is full of the double entendres and veiled insinuations, apparently to make Cane uneasy.  I am starting to think she is actually interested in Lily.  Wouldn’t that be a fun twist.

Jack tells Ash, Ravi and Phyllis that he has purchased a warehouse for Ash to create her lab in.  Ash of course is pissed off, because he didn’t consult her.  They are definitely heading to a falling out, especially if he throws Abby under the bus in his plot against Prick.  I am not sure, but it looks like Phyllis has inherited Glo’s desk?  Or she was just using it.  Ravi is worried he won’t see much of Ash if she is at the lab, and Phyllis encourages him to let Ash know his intentions.

Back at the Ranch, Drinki is in fact livid because the Dean from the University paid her a visit to show the mock-ups for the Drinki Newman Neurological Research Centre.  Prick made a huge donation and had it named in her honour because of her MS.  She thinks he is trying to buy his way back into her heart.  She cannot cancel the donation because she would rather he spend his money on a worthwhile cause than on bringing homicidal maniacs to town.  So Drinki’s MS is back in the storyline and now her kids are worried about her health.  She assures them she is fine.  Then they chat about Villy, and Vic’s desire to reunite with Billy.  But she can’t tell him the truth.  Drinki tells Vic what she should tell Billy, during the commercial break.  Vic has left now; Nick is upset about the whole Prick situation too.  He wants to go Paul.  Drinki convinces him it will destroy the entire family.  Nick actually says some true things today.  That Prick has repeatedly used mentally unstable women to further his devious plans, and that Drinki always goes back to him no matter what.  Drinki admits she still loves him but she is determined this time.  Nick tells her she is more than Mrs. Victor Newman.  He tells her she needs to quit being angry and letting him get to her.  She has an epiphany:  the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s indifference.  Nick tells her she needs to do what she wants to, on her own.

Phyllis texts Billy to find out if he has talked to Vic, and he rushes off, leaving work behind.  The team is getting ready for a photo shoot.  Juliet is picking an outfit for Lily and finds that camisole that Cane threw in the trash and that Jordan retrieved and hung on the rack.  Cane walks in and says: what the hell are you doing with that?   But Lily and Jordan return and Lily says it goes perfect with the outfit, and goes to change.  At the photo shoot, Cane keeps flashing back to Juliet sex, because Lily is wearing the cami.  Cane rushes out which messes up Lily’s mojo.  Later, Juliet tells him he needs to chill.  They argue because he wants to tell Lily, and just then Lily walks in. BTW, in all  of the sexy times flashbacks, we have never seen Cane and Juliet doing it; they fully clothed and kissing, and then they are laying in bed naked.

Billy has been riding the elevator up and down at Jabot waiting for Phyllis to join him and they push the stop button and start getting hot and heavy.  He tells her that he couldn’t tell Vic cause she had a family emergency.  Phyllis hasn’t told Jack either.  She says they have two options, either march in and tell Jack, or go to the club and make out like crazy, crazy teenagers.  He suggests they fly first class to New Zealand and make out there.  Show is all in on Philly now.  They continue making out in the elevator.

Jack wants to know about the NYC trip, and Ash tells him about the horrible jerk business guy.  She tells him that she and Ravi and went to the Met.  He is bemused that she is suddenly so into the opera, but wants to know if she followed his advice re Ravi.  Ash gives Jack the gears and tells him that she and Ravi had torrid sex.  He's amused.  When they are like this, they are pretty great together.  He also told her she never has to deal with business jerk guy.

Damn you, Show!  The preview from yesterday was just a fantasy of Phyllis’; that Billy had told Vic and she was cool with it, and that Jack was appreciative that they had the guts to tell him.  In fact, Phyllis is hanging around Jabot thinking about all this.

In the real world, Billy meets Vic at the patio of the GCAC.  She tells him that she has been keeping a secret.  She lies to Billy and tells him that Drinki’s MS has been flaring, and she wanted to keep it secret.  She continues the lie by saying Prick has contributed to her health issues by skipping Reed’s party, buying the car, and leaving town.  That’s pretty stunning in itself, but the best part is Billy saying he is glad she told him, he just wishes she had done so sooner!  Oh really, Billy?  Then you wouldn’t be ready to fly to NZ with Phyllis, and throw a grenade into the Abbott family again?  Vic thanks Billy for being so understanding.  She wants to know what he wanted to tell her, and he says, never mind, he can handle it.

Drinki meets Jack at the Top of the Tower.  Drinki tells Jack she needs to get her mojo back (and I swear, I wrote “mojo” above re Lily, before I saw the Drinki/Jack scene!).

Ravi asks Ash to dinner and she accepts. Not sure where.

Phyllis makes a dinner reservation for two at the most romantic table they have.  Not sure where, but this one surely has to be the TOT.

Previews:  Vic to Billy: you know, we could just start over again, where we left off, do you think that’s possible?  Jack to Drinki:  You are asking me for advice on how to get your groove back.  Make’s me wonder what’s really going on between you and Pricktor; Cane to Lily: we were just discussing..., and Juliet interrupts and says: you need to be straight with Lily.  This presumably is going to end up with Juliet telling Lily that Cane isn’t 100% comfortable with her modelling, because Jordan told that to Juliet today.

So I thought that Ashley/Jack/(even Ravi) scene was delightful... Davidson was funny, Bergman was relaxed and comfortable.  I found myself smiling.

And now to return to form, I  am finding all this original recipe Newman concern for poor dead Adam.... without foundation.

They fucking hated him.  None of them reconciled to him  Jayzuz.

See, for all that Phick fell entirely flat the moment they became a real couple, I do remember scenes of them being chewed out by the rest of the cast; Sharon wore Phyl's lingerie to shock Nick into her reveal; Jack was pissed; Nikki and Vic hated her for years and got her arrested on her wedding day.

There hasn't been anything even remotely close to that with Philly. Jack gets pissed and his sisters act like he's blowing up because he got his order screwed up at Starbucks.

The Edge of Night was a gem of a soap (though many had called it a crime drama which is also true) that didn't focus all that heavily on "who's the daddy" stories or other typical soap fluff. The reason being? See what I have in parentheses. This is going off topic, but I LONG for an updated PRIMETIME version of The Edge of Night. That show was so good and cleverly written.

And this is actually my main issue. Jack, the victim, never got vindication. And how does Billy still have no feelings about how any of this will affect Jack? These things are important in storytelling. And, I'm sorry, no, JT and GT's generic as shit "chemistry" should not override this.

That part definitely stood out. I just shook my head. He actually implied that had he known this none of the stuff with Phyllis would be happening. Now he doesn't want to bring up Phyllis at all. Talk about a 180. I guess this is now the start of Billy going back and forth though I imagine their secret will come out soon because no drama in staying hidden now.

Does anyone remember a book from the 70's or 80's called The Peter Pan Syndrome?  It was about men who don't grow up emotionally and how a woman could avoid the havoc they bring into a relationship.  If they ever re-issue it, NotevernevergivemeabreakgetbillmillerbackBilly could be on the cover.

Today is TOTT night, with almost everyone ending up there dining and shooting glances at each other.

First, Jack and Drinki are there because she wants his ideas for how she can get her mojo back.  He comes up with several outlandish thoughts; it’s a nice moment between them.  And, of course, he is sure something is up with Pricktor, but she denies it.  As they go to leave, Ravi and Ash arrive for dinner.  Drinki asks Jack if there is something going on between the two of them, but he says no, not according to Ash.  But Ravi and Ash (Rash?!) aren’t going to be having a dinner date after all.  Earlier Phyllis got blown off Billy, because Vic announces she is taking the entire B&S team to dinner.  So Billy cancelled with Phyllis.  After Villy had their heart to heart about Drinki’s illness, which was all lies, Billy then lies to Vic as well, and tells her that he would like them to keep things professional and family oriented, because that works better for them than a romantic relationship.  He does not tell her about Phyllis.  Meanwhile, Phyllis is expecting him to do so, and when he cancels their date, she horns in on RASH, much to their chagrin, because she knows that Billy is going to the TOTT, and she wants see what is going on with Billy.  She not only crashes their date, she buys a bottle of wine and proceeds to drink it all.  And all while staring at Villy.  At one point she texts Billy to meet her in the “check room”.

The B&S table consists of Lane, Juliet, Jordan and Hilary (because Jordan said he had a date and Vic said bring her along) and Villy.  Vic insists that Billy sit next to her.  Lily snarks at Hilary, and Hil tells her that she is no longer related to her, so she can keep her bitchy comments to herself.  Lily is delighted to know that they are divorced, but said she still hates her.  Meanwhile Cane is not drinking because it is a business function and he wants to keep a clear head.  At this, Juliet whispers to Jordan that Cane turns into a wild man when he drinks hard liquor, and Jordan is taken aback.

Vic sends the Jabot/Fenmore table a bottle of champagne with a note that says B&S sales are so good that Jabot can drown their sorrows.  Nice.   She makes a speech to her staff about how they are family and how they support her, but it is entirely directed to Billy.  Vic suggests that they find a guy for Juliet and asks Lily if she knows any handsome men, and Lily says: other than my husband?  But Lily is on it, and suggests Ravi, and then she and Juliet head over to make an introduction.  Ravi is mortified and seems really upset that his dinner is not going as planned and is being hijacked continually.  Ash says it’s fine, and that he should go out with Juliet.  Ravi has a look of despair!  Ash says she doesn’t want to get in the way of him meeting someone, and having a family.  Ravi says she is making a lot of assumptions about what she wants.

Devon and Mariah are also at TOTT.  When Mariah arrives, Devon is seated at the bar where every woman he encounters hits on him, due to the announcement that he is divorced.  They get their own table.  Lily comes over to congratulate him on the divorce and says that the succubus is at the B&S table on a date, and says how trashy it is to go on a date on the day of your divorce.  Mariah says they must be trashy too, and Lily realizes they are on a date, and she is happy and figures Devon traded up.  I am really trying to remember the connection between Lily and Mariah and the guy Mariah was dating before she came to GC, but I cannot.

Ravi suggests to Ash that they leave before Phyllis gets back.  Ash goes to the ladies room.  Ravi looks at the bill, and then walks over to Phyllis who is seated at the bar and tells her he invited Ash to dinner so he will pay for her, but:  you invited yourself to dinner, so you can pay for yourself; and leaves the bill with her.  I quite liked that moment, but don’t really get why Phyllis would intrude on their date when she is the one who told him to go for it.  Not being a very good friend, Phyllis.

All of the ladies at the B&S table go to the ladies room, except Lily.  Billy gets up and Cane asks him where he is going, and Billy says: why do you care?  Cane says he doesn’t.  Lily then asks Cane to get her jacket from the coat check.  In the ladies room, Ash thanks Vic for the champagne, and Vic says she is glad she enjoyed it.  Ash says:  I wouldn’t go quite that far, it tasted a little like desperation.  Vic says: that’s a step up from what you’re used to tasting, which is failure.  Ash says actually their products are popular and points out that Hil, Vic and Juliet are each using a Jabot product right at that moment!  In the coat check Phyllis is macking on Billy, and wants to know if he told Vic, and he said it’s not the right time.  Cane, of course, overhears. Phyllis tells Billy he has to tell Vic, she refuses to be the other woman, sneaking around and he says there is no other woman, you are the only woman.  Cane is quite pleased with what he hears.

I didn’t really get why Vic would be so bitchy to Ash.  If B&S is doing well, there is no need to cut down the competition.  But then she is entirely unprofessional at work and with her employees, so what can we expect.

Back at the table Lily decides to go to the coat check herself but trips as she’s getting up and falls into Jordan’s lap, and Hilary witnesses this.

In the ladies room, Juliet promises that she will never wear the competition’s perfume again.  Vic says, good, cause next time you are fired.  And she says she is just kidding.  Vic then strangely confides in Juliet that she herself is not good at admitting her mistakes, including personal ones, and Juliet says, you’re talking about Billy.  Vic says that she let family issues get in the way of her and Billy and now he thinks it is too late to get back together, and Juliet says, but you don’t, and that was the point of your speech, and Vic realizes she laid it on too thick in her speech!  Vic says she is determined to make Billy see that they have a future together.

Not at the TOTT are Drinki and Jack.  She plays the piano for him and he is enthralled.  He sees the mock-up for the research centre and wonders what is behind that.  They then sit down and look at a photo album with photos of Vic and Nick as kids.  Jack reminisces about the time he was their step-dad, and now I am certain this where they are going with Jack.   Sigh.  Drinki laments the children they lost, and they have a bit of a moment, and Jack puts his arm around Drinki, and PRICK WALKS IN!

Also not at the TOTT are Nick and Chelz.  She tells him that Prick deposited half a million in her account in Adam’s memory and Nick is upset, but she cannot figure out why.  Later, they are getting a couples massage; hers is a gentle massage from a guy, and his is a bonecruncher from Helga.  I didn’t watch all of their scenes, so that is all I’ve got there.

Previews:  Hil to Lily:  Careful, Lily, hands off! Prick to Drinki:  I understand Dick and Vic turning their backs on me, but I thought that you of all people would understand me; Jack, loudly to Ash:  Gloria and I have…and he stops himself, and Ash has a stunned look and says: No!

Glad to be of service @PatsyandEddie!

I feel like today's episode was more interesting than most, even though a lot of people did and said things out of character:

Phyllis crashing Ravi's date, after she was the one to encourage him.

Phyllis canoodling with Billy in the coat check room, after she was the one who said no one can find out until they tell Jack and Vic.

Vic being bitchy to Ash for no good reason.

Vic being completely unprofessional to and in front of her employees--no wait, that is not out of character.

Phyllis is acting so needy and insecure. Really? She crashes Ravi's evening so she can spy on Billy and the B&S table? It's like she's in middle school. It comes off so weak.

I remember when Jack and Nikki last got married. She dropped him like a hot rock the day after their wedding to go chasing after a shriveled goat scrote. Jack was wheelchair bound at the time and had worked his tush off to be able to stand up at their wedding. Nikki can dine at the all you can eat bag of dicks buffet where Jack is concerned. Phyllis can have whatever gets thrown in the dumpster out back and share it with Buttbiscuit during a romantic picnic.

It might be fun to watch Gloria and Nikki go at it.  They wouldn't pull any punches and they are both good at sneaky snark.   It's would also be nice to see him involved age-appropriate.  He can't go back since they SORASed Phyliss down to godicantsayhisnamecauseitsnotBilly' age.  It would really be squicky to call her the love of his life, since in this incarnation of the character, she wouldn't have been alive for most of his life.  Did I mention I'm not a fan of courgar/robbing the cradle romances?

Philly are really going at it in the cloak room.  And Cane is eavesdropping and hears the whole thing.  Billy tells Phyllis that he needs to wait until Drinki’s health is back on track.  She thinks that sounds open-ended. He assures her he wants the same as her, to be out in the open with nothing to hide, and asks her to trust him.  Billy walks out and doesn’t even see Cane, then Phyllis comes out and Cane tells her to have a good night.  Wow, Philly are really like kids, they don’t even realize that someone was standing right there listening, even when they see him.  Back at their table, Hil warns Lily to stay away from Jordon:  Hands off!  Lily looks surprised, perplexed.  Vic and Juliet are becoming besties and confidantes, which is entirely inappropriate.  Vic is a mess as an employer and boss.

Phyllis explains to Cane that she came to do business with Jabot, but it looks like the B&S table is having the most fun.  Cane says it looks everyone is getting something out of the evening.  As Phyllis and Cane look on, Billy and Vic have their heads together and Phyllis’ face turns green and she leaves.

At the Ranch, Jack says: Hello Victor, and Drinki says: Darling, I am so glad you’re home.  How was your trip? and he answers:  Enlightening, and I can see I didn’t come back a moment too soon.  Prick says:  my wife promised to take care of my family in my absence, but I don’t know how she can do that by consorting with the likes of you.   Drinki and Jack say they aren’t consorting, that she invited him over to play the piano for him and then they caught up on old times.  Jack said he loved the time he was raising Vic and Nick, and that Drinki is his favourite ex-wife, but no need to be jealous.  Jack also said some sincere and nice things about him losing Adam, and how difficult it must be, and how he thinks of him being in that cabin hoping for a new life…and Drinki interrupts him, because she can see Prick’s head might explode.  Jack leaves, and Prick glowers at Drinki.  He actually looks like he ate a bad clam, but this is EB’s version of glowering.

Hil and Jordan are having a drink and she wonders how Cane will react if he had seen Lily and Jordan earlier.  Jordan says Lily is married and a mom.  Hil says Cane has an Aussie temper, and Jordan mentions that he gets wild and freaky after a few drinks.  Hil’s ears perk up at that bit of info.  He tells her that Juliet told him this, and Hil says that Cane was with Juliet in Tokyo, so maybe that is where she saw wild and crazy Cane.

Cane returns to the table and tells Vic and co. that this has been a great idea, to get together outside of work, so that people can get to really know each other.  Cane suggests that Billy make a toast to Vic, which he does.  Billy goes to leave, and Vic jumps up to join him.  The weird thing is that she tells him to go with her to the office so that he can get his car.  Wait a minute, we have just been watching everyone drink their faces off.  Again, irresponsible employer.  If you take your staff out and buy them drinks, then you must provide transportation.

Hil then talks to Mariah about doing a team building exercise like B&S, and Mariah notes that it’s not much of a team at the Hilary Hour.  Hil tells her she could not do the show without her, and Mariah says:  are you drunk?  Heh!

Lily and Cane leave and Lily says Juliet should leave with them and they can walk her to her car.  So everyone is driving?

At Jabot, Ravi goes off on Phyllis for hijacking their date, and Phyllis says she had no idea they were on a date.  Ravi is stunned, since she was the one who urged him to go for it.  My question is, why are they both back at work when it is clearly time to go home and sleep.  She apologizes to Ravi.  She tells him he should go see Ashley now.  Wait, what, are we going to find out where she actually lives?

But Ash is at the Abbott Mansion dropping off a gift for Mrs. Martinez.  Jack asks Ash how her evening was and she complains about Phyllis barging in on them.  She explains why she enjoys spending time with Ravi.  The topic switches to Gloria, and Jack says, lay off of Glo, she has specific skills.  He considers her an asset.  Ash says she cannot be trusted and they should get rid of her, and asks him to give one good reason why not.  He says he likes having her around, and then says: because Gloria and I have…, and then he stops himself.  And Ash says:  Glo and you have what, and he looks at her, and she realizes, and she says: No, no, omigod, NO!  He admits Glo is a friend with benefits.  Ash is outraged.  Ash cannot figure out why Glo is the woman he would be with.  She says this is how he reacts when he is abandoned, and it dates back to when their mother left them.  Ravi shows up, thus saving Jack, and he leaves.  Ash and Ravi talk about their date, and agree to try again.  Not sure how Ravi knew where to find Ash.

Back at the Ranch, Prick is furious with Drinki for daring to bring Jagabbid into his house.  He thinks Drinki told Jack what really happened to Adam, and Drinki says, I promised I would keep your secret, and unlike you, I keep my word.  She asks him where he was, and he says: none of your business.  He calls her irrational.  He talks about Vic and Nick stabbing him in the back before, so no surprise.  But he says, with tears welling in his eyes: I thought you, you of all people, would understand me.  They talk about the Research Centre, and he explains that he wants to make amends for the death of his son.  Again, he talks about how Vic and Nick have turned against him, but she is the love of his life, how can she be so cold?  He says he didn’t want Adam killed, and she tells him it doesn’t mean he is not responsible or that she will let him stay in the house with her.  She tells him he is moving into the guest house.  He can pick up his mail but otherwise keep the visits to a minimum.  The cover story will be that he needs space to work on “that whitewash of a biography”.  He shouts that he doesn’t need any of them and that they are all a bunch of hypocrites and he stomps off to the guest house.

For some bizarre reason, Devon thinks it is a good idea to warn Jordan about Hilary.  Then the ladies join them and they have awkward cocktail chatter.  Later Devon tells Mariah he is happy being with her.  And they kiss, and Hil watches from afar.

Vic and Billy are back at the office.  She is truly pathetic now; I don’t recall her ever being this needy.  She wants to know what he thought about the evening.  She tells him she meant everything she said about him.  He says he doesn’t like to be singled out, and his issue is not with Vic, it is with Cane.  Vic keeps going on about their relationship, and Billy tries to evade it.  She then invites Billy to the house to say goodnight to the kids.  Apparently they stay up until the wee hours too.  He agrees.  She says she is glad they got over their rift (seriously, was it a one day rift?) and says no more keeping secrets, and she hugs him.  And guess who is standing at the door watching them.  That’s right, Phyllis shows up at B&S to talk to Billy.  Why wouldn’t she just text him?  This is a very strange evening with people out to dinner, and many drinks, and then going back to the office or in this case, two offices.

Lane are back home.  Cane tells her what he overheard.  Lily says they are both single.  He says that he is concerned for Vic, and Lily tells him to stay out of it.  She thinks Cane will mess up everything for them at work if he gets involved in this.

Jack goes to Jabot where he finds Phyllis hard at work.  He mentions that he was with Drinki at TOTT and then at the Ranch, and Phyllis says, wait, so she is feeling well enough to go out?  Jack says Drinki is doing great, better than ever, she played the piano, she wants to get her mojo back.  That is, he says, until Prick walked in, and Phyllis says, that bastard, but she is clearly referring to Billy.

Previews:  Phyllis, while Billy is macking on her at Jabot, is angry and says, I am not going to be the other woman, you will not play me that way!; Kevin to Glo: I am Bella’s bio daddy, and Glo seems less than ecstatic; and a scene of PRICK WALKING INTO A MOTEL ROOM AND CHLOE IS SITTING THERE!

It's would also be nice to see him involved age-appropriate.

Not just nice... historic.

I thought today's show was, again, pretty good.  It was well woven.  It flowed.  I don't know what the hell's going on.

Wait just a moment, Phyllis. You were fine being Nick's other woman. You were fine making Buttbiscuit be the other... "man." You know what's up with Billy and Victoria. You made your bed, now lie in it, buttbiscuit crumbs and all.

Seriously great recaps, banana. We'll never let Nicholas peel you with his feet.

Devon seems to want Jordan to break up with Hilary. He wants her alone and miserable pining for him, I'm assuming.

Billy is playing Phyllis. She's the other woman when there is no reason for her to be.

Cane is Billy's business while he's cheated on Lily and allowed her to wear Juliet's cheat nightie. If they don't divorce this time then the show might as well send them to Australia.

I think Devon still loves Hillary, and Hillary still loves Devon. I agree about Cane, I've never seen any chemistry between those two actors ( Cane and/Lilly) Lilly needs Jordan.

Of course Devon and Hilary are still madly in love. I'm not even sure why they got a divorce considering. And I don't think the status of them being in love will change despite them both dating other people. He will continue to prop up Mariah telling her how much better than Hilary she is while OPENLY pining for Hilary with Mariah seated/standing next to him. Hilary will fight Lily over Jordan while OPENLY letting Jordan and the world know (via her show) he's her second choice and she loves Devon. That whole quint makes zero sense with odd dynamics.

Lily and cane need a reset. They need to divorce and date other people for a few years. Then circle back around. But with the kids almost grown via recast, maybe the show is pushing them out so they can move them both to others for good. They've been together 8 or 9 years straight now. Past time. They need to do for Lily what they did for Vikki when she was with JT so long. Reboot.

That post puts me in mind of what I've heard about Elvis and Priscilla Presley's divorce hearing, where the judge mentioned how much in love they still were, but Priscilla mentions that she couldn't raise her kid and give Elvis all the attention he needed anymore...irreconcilable differences, as it were.

If we didn't have such lazy writers, they could set that up a lot better to show a couple can love each other and just not be right at all.  From what I see of those two, it would hardly be a stretch at all.

That said, why are Mariah and Jordan putting up with this?

Mariah and Jordan put up with it cause Devon and Hilary need something to do for the next 6 months before the show put Devon and Hilary back together.

Jordan doesn't truly want Hilary anyway. He prefers Lily and is just having fun. Mariah, I assume, is just with Devon to hurt and one up  hilary.

Interesting info about Priscilla and Elvis. I can see where that'd work for these two. But the show has no intention of moving them on imo. This is just angst. Retelling their "love story". Break up to make up in typical soap fashion.

A lot actually happens in today’s show.

Vic goes to Newman to make sure that Prick got the car key she returned.  He says he will return the car to Reed.  She points out that she is Reed’s mother.  She also points out that everything he has been doing is to buy favour with the family members who don’t know the truth.

Cane and Billy are sniping at each other B&S.

Phyllis is in a foul mood and takes it out on Scott at CL, and then tries to tone it down, and she asks him if he knows anything about Drinki being sick.  Scott says she looked healthy to him; Mikey arrives and Scott leaves.   Phyllis tells Mikey about Billy and that she feels he is lying to her.  Mikey says she should go talk to Billy, and she says with a growl, oh I am going to talk to him alright.  She also tells Mikey that she and Billy have a soul connection, a spark.  Blech.

There’s a whole Mergeron storyline today, so Dina’s return must be imminent.  Mergeron is a very successful company and it is up for sale.  Biz whiz Devon proposes to Neil that they purchase Mergeron, But Neil points out the history with the Abbotts.   Devon doesn’t think that should matter and they should pursue it.  They decide to fly to Paris and meet with Dina.  Later, Jack also learns that Mergeron is for sale.  But first, he and Ash are at the Abbott mansion and have just finished breakfast.  She starts goading him about Glo, and then the conversation turns to talk about Dina, and how she abandoned them, and how this created issues for them.  Again there was a mention by Ash that she has no Abbott genes, which she regrets.   Ash wants to get into it about Glo, but Jack changes the subject to Drinki.  He tells Ash that Drinki wanted Jack’s help to get her mojo back, and for a brief moment Ash thinks he is sleeping with Drinki too!  Jack also says that he detected a chill in the air when Prick arrived, but Ash says they will always stay together.  At Jabot, Ash thanks Ravi for the flower and stopping by, and then talk turns to Dina, and Ash says she hates her mother.  She fills Ravi in on the back story.

At B&S, Vic, Cane and Billy are having a meeting, more sniping, then Vic says she needs to talk to Billy alone.  It’s about the kids.  But while they were out of the room, Billy gets a text from Phyllis demanding that he meet her in the elevator now.  The elevator, again?  It’s all dumpsters and elevators on this show.  Afterwards Billy retrieves his phone and reads the text, and says he has to step out for a minute.  Cane follows him and sees him getting on the elevator with Phyllis.  I am going admit something right now that I probably shouldn’t, but I think if I am Cane, I would be doing precisely what he is doing.  Vic obvi favours Billy because she wants to get back with him.  So knocking him down a peg would help Cane at work.  Well now that Philly are in the elevator, she hits the stop button and confronts him about lying.  He denies lying and says as soon as Drinki’s health is better he will tell Vic, and he tries to kiss her.  She becomes enraged, and informs him that she will not be played and she will not be the other woman.    Billy tries to assure Phyllis that she is the only woman for him and he doesn’t know anything about any lying.  Meanwhile, Cane tells Vic if she wants to make it to her meeting she should leave, cause he heard that traffic is bad.  She thanks him for the heads up and goes to the elevator.  But it doesn’t come.  Cane comes by and she tells him the button won’t even light up.  He helpfully says he will go to maintenance, and she thanks him again.  He comes back and says that someone, not maintenance, has stopped the elevator, but they are able to override it and then the doors . Philly are in full kiss and hug mode, and Vic and Cane are standing there all agog at the sight.  Vic says: Oh my god!

Scott meets with Prick at Newman to discuss the book, and Drinki’s interference.  Scott fills Prick in on the Bella Baby Daddy situation and the letters that Chloe sent.  Scott says that he thought that Prick was out of town to search for Chloe, and that Pricktor Newman would never let the woman who killed his son get away with it.  Prick says he doesn’t want to go to jail again.  Then we get flashbacks of Prick confronting Chloe in a motel room somewhere.  She is afraid.  She tells him that Adam never suffered—whoops, I would have left out that detail, Chloe.  Prick seems very threatening and Chloe asks him if he is going to kill her.  But no, he takes out an envelope.  He says that unlike her, he is not a murderer.  The envelope contains a bunch of money  to disappear and never come back.  He warns her to never come back, and she says, if she does, he will go to prison.  He says he can handle prison, but she can’t.  She asks him for a favour (the gall!).  She asks him to mail two letters to her two potential baby daddies and he says he will do it, for Bella.  Aww, Prick, you are such a softie.  Good bye and good riddance, Chloe.

Glo shows up at Jack’s office and asks him if he is unhappy with her work, and he distractedly says:  I can’t believe I kept you around this long.  Then he corrects himself, and says: you are doing great work, and I am grateful you are here.  She wonders why they haven’t met at the GCAC.  He apologizes, and she says he doesn’t owe her anything.  But, she says, their late night trysts made life more interesting, and he says he completely agrees.

Kevin meets with Mikey to ask his advice on how to tell Bella the truth about Chloe.  Mikey also advises him to tell Glo.  When Kevin tells Glo she is actually supportive and happy for Kevin.

Previews:  Jack to Ash: you are not even a little curious as to why our mother has her company up for sale?  Neil to Devon on their jet (hey, no carbon footprint there!):  There is no guarantee we are going to make this deal; Prick to Abby: We haven’t made a big acquisition for a while, maybe this will be a good time.  BTW, does this mean that Abby was Acting CEO for like five minutes?
