so I'm not sure if anyone may have already seen or posted something about this, but I saw this post about Kashara and Kelli having unfollowed one another on Instagram.....does anyone know anything about this, or is it just kind of nbd?

Could just be an IG glitch, but nevertheless I am I-N-T-R-I-G-U-E-D!

no idea what, if anything is behind it - could def be a glitch cause it's always seemed as though they've been on great terms, but I'm fascinated and figured someone here might know why if there's another reason behind it

Edit:  apparently may just be because Kashara has her profile on private now, so probably just nbd 😊

lmao i almost wrote a comment about this yesterday but got tired. agreed. i don't think being annoyed about their weight standards is 'toxic.' yes, that's what they signed up for, but especially in the case of chelsea, who didn't look overweight even by THEIR standards, i understand being like, 'lol wtf?'

if you really think these girls are perfect little angel robots who never get annoyed with k and j or talk shit, you're sorely mistaken. her only mistake was saying that stuff on camera—that was stupid. i'm sure she's hardly the only person who's ever said or thought things like that.

i think her looks were average and she was a meh dancer who kind of talked her way onto the team, sure, so i don't mind them cutting her, but i don't think any less of her for saying what she said, especially since she was like 20 at the time, it was a million years ago, and her feelings were understandable.

if anything, it made her more likable to me. that's the most personality anyone's ever shown on that show, for better or worse lmao

I agree. I remember looking at Chelsea and thinking that she didn't even look overweight by their standards at all. Veronica in season 9 did look overweight and she lost it and moved on but Chelsea looked the same to me.

I also thought that Dayton looked like she needed to shed some of her baby fat around the middle but I know I'm alone in that one.

Nah, not alone. I was a little surprised at how Kelli raved about Dayton in the uniform. I think her figure is fantastic, but I thought for sure Kelli would call her out for being soft in the middle. I think K specifically said she had a womanly figure, maybe?

I like seeing a variety of figures on the squad, personally, including the buff gym rats, curvy girls and all the in between.

nah, you're not (2). she had a gorgeous body but was a little soft in the middle. not weight warning soft, but like, definitely not as thin as most. like, her torso was fit and toned but not as tight as most girls', if that makes sense? obviously most would kill for her body but yeah. and it was interesting how kelli said she had the perfect figure in the uniform because she didn't seem to like dayton that much and it doesn't seem like the figure she'd love the most

I think the uniform is very difficult to wear if you have a short torso.

Thank you.  There was discussion of this a while back and ironically, somebody decided to take issue with it again today as I am re-watching Fosse/Verdon.  It’s the Cell Block Tango from Chicago, the second-longest running Broadway musical of all time, which won multiple Tonys and Oscars and was choreographed and directed by the legendary Bob Fosse.

I’d hope that, if anything, Kelli and Judy would be impressed.

I would hope that since she's no longer a DCC, what Kelly and Judy think doesn't matter at all.   They aren't God.... they are people who put their pants on one leg at a time like everyone else. The world is way bigger than DCC.  Holly is doing what she loves and it'd be a little sad if she still cared what they thought about her.

Kelli seems to think that being a DCC is, and will be, the biggest and most important thing a girl ever does.  She demands every spare moment of their lives when they are one and also demands that they meet her standards (some of which are ridiculous or odd while others are perfectly normal), then, when they are gone, she forgets about them (unless they make the DCC look good after they have left).  She also seems to expect that they won't ever achieve something as important as being a DCC when most go on to live normal lives where being a DCC was a part of their lives but doesn't really matter to most of the people they encounter besides "You were an NFL cheerleader? Cool."

Beauty is ofcourse in the eye of the beholder and there many different standards, but if we are talking models (who are a sort of a standard in a certain way), a shorter torso IS preferred.

Good for Holly! When Anne Reinking passed away recently I got all emotional when I read an article that said something to the effect of “the angels are singing We Got Annie” 😭 Of course she was not only a muse of Fosse but also Grace in Annie where she broke out some fabulous Fosse moves.

I was thinking tonight if Hannah would have elected to do the 1 day audition like Taylor J, would she may have made the squad this year?  I know she was preparing for finals during TC, but perhaps if she would of just did the 1 day audition instead of dragging things out, maybe she would have made the team.  Maybe it wouldn't have showcased the flaws she had this year during TC, like not knowing the choreo.

Same goes for Brennan?  Maybe if she elected to do the 1 day audition, maybe it would have shown that she didn't look so tired.

Just something I've been thinking...

I believe it was said that there were certain qualifications - being concerned about covid was not one.  However, if your job didn't allow you to enter the bubble and you are friends with Kelli's daughter - then you could do the one day.

I was just going to say something similar. Don't get me wrong, I like Taylor (she's a blender dancer but a great ambassador) but being best friends with the leader's daughter can't hurt. I think they offered the one-day audition to all vets but it was advised against, unless it was 100% necessary.

I think the main qualification for doing the 1-day audition was if your job was one that COULDN'T be done in a bubble.  Hannah and Brennan had jobs and lifestyles that could be done in the bubble so they wouldn't have "qualified" for it.

They also wouldn't have been able to put it off a year because Kelli would have seen that as the girls not having DCC as the absolute MOST important thing in their lives above and beyond everything else that might have claims on their time.  According to Kelli, being a DCC is the most important thing ever and, if it isn't, they shouldn't be one.

From what I remember hearing and seeing, Kelli was looking for a reason to cut Hannah and Brennan because they spoke up.  They had opinions that deserved to be heard even it wasn't what Kelli wanted to hear.  The rumors were that they were at least polite about the things they said the first time they said it.  Only when they found out they were going to be cut did they let out only a LITTLE of their emotions and were brutally polite.  What they did was along the lines of what Meagan Flaherty did, if a SMIDGE more politely.  They told off Kelli who is used to people bowing, scraping and doing anything she asks just for the chance to POSSIBLY be a DCC.

Kelcey is a nurse - had to take time off.  Madeline and Jalyn had to take time off from their dance studio - Madeline even said during a podcast that the most she could get was 10 days, and the bubble was supposed to be three weeks or so, despite Kelli claiming in the episode it was one week.  I'm sure there were others who had to scramble to take the time off with only three weeks notice.  Probably why some are waiting to see if there will be another bubble this year before they decide if they are coming back or not.

Thank you for pointing this out.  Kelcey should have been allowed the 1-day audition and if Kelli told her either enter the bubble or lose your spot as a DCC, then that is really flucked up.  It is also flucked up that if Kelli told the girls "Hey, you only have to be here for x number of days" then tell them something COMPLETELY different and it's not cool, especially in a pandemic.  A girl could have easily gotten fired because of Kelli's shenanigans and Kelli would have expected the girl to choose the DCC over her job. I REALLY hope this last Training Camp was the wake-up call several of the girls needed that being a DCC isn't healthy for them, especially with a manager/boss like Kelli.  I can guarantee that, if I had ANY thoughts about auditioning before now, I don't now.  I don't need to be in another horribly toxic "work" environment, especially for what amounts to a glorified part-time job if that.

I agree with this. I have a hard time believing that any business would just be okay with Kelsey taking all that time off. Someone has to be there to cover for her and pick up the slack while she's gone. Kelsey probably had to blow through her vacation/sick time. And a job has to also offer unpaid time off. Like....3 weeks is a freaking long time from a job.  I mean heck...I only get like 2 weeks max of vacation time from my job. Also...at the risk of sounding like a complete jerk, what makes Taylor J so special? She's not a GL or on SG.. If she couldn't make TC, she should of just retired.

god, the 'bubble' last year was so stupid, pressuring vets to take time off from full-time jobs for reality show shenanigans that shouldn't even be happening. i'll always have a feeling that the one-day audition is something that was offered but lowkey discouraged, if that makes sense. i think it's quite telling that literally only one person did it

You only get two weeks paid holiday? In the UK, we're entitled to usually 5.6 weeks! However, most employers don't like it if you take off that time in one go. Taylor J is best friends with Kelli's daughter.

Wait until you hear about our health care! Seriously tho, two weeks is pretty standard for many positions.  Additionally, for many, possibly most Americans, that same PTO (paid time off) also has to cover sick days. I’m a manager level professional and get 3.6 weeks PTO, tho I had nearly five weeks at a prior employer.

Really depends on the company, what type of job you’re doing and time/tenure.  I have peers that get six weeks because they’ve been with the company for over 25 years.

I had to unfollow Brennan on Insta, look away @ByTor I could not take one more post about Grant and his dietary restrictions. She seems to have become that girl whose identity is completely dependent on her boyfriend and it makes me sad for her. I will check her page occasionally bc I do love her doggo! Just my two cents but Grant seems like a bit of a douche as well. I'll never understand the choices some of these girls make in their boyfriends, sigh...

I unfollowed cause of her constant criticism and snark towards Grant on her stories

You know like when girls in middle school make fun of boys that they actually like? That's IMO how she's behaving. At 1st it might appear playful, but she does it all the time.

I agree that it was low-key discouraged and Kelli had the final decision over who would actually GET it.  I feel that, if Kelcey was a nurse in a hospital instead of where she was, she wouldn't have been able to get the time off (being a frontline employee and not being able to "quarantine" for 2 weeks beforehand) and Kelli likely wouldn't have been happy that she would require the 1-day audition.  Then we would likely have seen Kelcey cut as well for some stupid reason (or because she "required" the 1-day audition and how DARE Kelcey put the health and welfare of her patients about being a DCC).  I know Lauren was a nurse in a hospital but she wasn't a DCC during a pandemic so she had more flexibility.
