This kid will be pregnant in 2 years... 🙄 her hillbilly ass parents seem to think it’s “funny” and “cute” to make her wear makeup, and act like a slut. Why on earth would anyone let their child who is obviously already sexually awakened (talking about boyfriends) listen to a stripper who does nothing but talk about sex?  I’m disgusted in Leah... even more so then Jenelle.

This is what happens when hillbilly babies have hillbilly babies.

For a long time, there have been extremely sexualized lyrics in rap/hip-hop music. I actually like a lot of this music, but I prefer when they make two versions of the songs, and I listen to the g-rated version.

Anyway, one song, years ago, where this really jumped out at me was a song where a guy talks about putting a girl's face in a pillow while he has sex with her from behind.   But there was no swearing in this song, so unless you listened closely to the lyrics, you might not realize how sexually graphic the song was. At the time, I found myself thinking that there are probably a lot of parents who don't realize what is being discussed in these songs (also those who don't care what their kids are exposed to).

Anyway... that little clip of Addie dancing made me think of that.  I don't know the song she was dancing to, but if that sort of music and videos are being played in their home, then it doesn't surprise me that she would act that way.

I agree, and I also listen to rap/hip-hop with some dirty ass lyrics lol (just cause I’m a mom doesn’t mean I can’t be a freak and have fun with my hubby lol) BUT I do have an 8 year old... so it’s my (mostly cause my husband is at work and I’m a SAHM) responsibility to make sure that none of those songs are queued in my playlist when she’s around. Even the G rated ones are the same in rap just minus the cuss words so I stay away from it all together. We listen to oldies (50’s, 60’s, 70’s music) or alternative 90’s lol yes, they may have some perversion but nothing she actually would even capture or understand. Plus, I love giving her some background to what real artists were back then. The fact that it’s Cardi B who’s a stripper who fucked a rapper and got her career by shaking her ass and making music about fucking guys for money is what’s really bothersome to me. Had it been Queen Latifah  who raps about woman empowerment, I don’t think it would of been such a big deal. JMO.

As a music teacher, I love that you are exposing her to the music of the 20th century!!! You wouldn't believe how many kids have never heard of disco, or Motown, or even Elton John or Billy Joel! Like...even heard OF them! One thing I always enjoyed teaching was sixth grade general music, where we'd do 50's, 60's, Motown, disco, 80's (with lots of music videos!) and 90's! The kids always really got into it, but barely any of them had ANY frame of reference for the genres. It's so fun to have a class of sixth graders singing and dancing to YMCA or Thriller. Last year, we did a Motown medley, and the parents were all bopping along at the concert! It's a great thing that your daughter knows this type of music from a young age, because i think it's important for kids to know recent music history! It's a big part of culture IMO.

I wish my daughter had music classes at her school with a teacher like you that could also teach and encourage this! (She doesn’t) When I started noticing that she was into music and started seeing the influences she has now a days that’s considered “music” I said “hell no!” Lol she is the ONLY kid in her class that knows of Aerosmith, or of Nancy Sinatra (she loves these boots lol) and I couldn’t be more proud! Of course she does well with all her other studies, however just like you said, music is a HUGE part of our culture and I wish it was taught more.

Awwww thank you! I wish I could have her too! She sounds so bright and inquisitive.

I mean, look how her dad talks on Instagram, and how Mama Dawn behaves! Class is not in their DNA.

I didn't see anything "slutty" in the video, though- she's dressed age-appropriately and dancing age-appropriately too. I just don't think she should listen to the song. I'd be more concerned about the references to drugs and violence than anything else, honestly...little kids should be listening to little kid songs.

I grew up with parents who were really into Jefferson Airplane and Led Zeppelin and other 60's/70's/80's artists.  I didn't become aware of the more explicit meanings of the lyrics until I was at least 10 and even then it was a vague "oooh, that could be something diiiiiirty!" kinda way.  Also, I'm *still*, to this day, explaining half of them to my mother who is a much more literal thinker.  (And there was some filthy stuff on my Dad's playlist.  Ever heard "Travellin' Riverside Blues"?  "Squeeze my lemons until the juice runs down my leg"?  Yeah, it's more of a deep cut but you're gonna try and tell me that "White Rabbit" isn't about getting high AF, Imma laugh at you.  Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion"?  The live lyrics aren't "A month on the road and I'll be eating from your hand".  Stephen Tyler will being doing something with your hand, but not eating.)  Anyway, that's one of the great things about kids, they don't really understand metaphor and simile until they're like 10-12.  And even they, you have to explain it half the time.  Though I will say that as we become less and less reliant on broadcast radio, songs have gotten much more explicit regarding drugs and violence, which is a problem.

I was a flight attendant for American for ten years. We can't just kick people off the plane for shits and giggles. There has to be a very good reason, i.e., the passenger is inebriated, refusing to comply with crew instructions, being disruptive etc.

I'm dying to hear the story on this one...

Thank you!  I am so tired of these drama queens taking to SM every single time they feel slighted.  She’s still crying over it?  Grow the fuck up, Leah.  You are nearly 30 years old and have 3 kids and 2 divorces under your belt.  You’d think she would have toughened up just a bit by now.

I’ve seen a lot of crap and crappy behavior on planes and no one has been kicked off. She must have really been causing a stir. How hard is it to grab your seat, put on head phones or read a book (oh wait, I forgot) for a few hours. I know flying sucks and everyone is cramped but it’s not that hard. Sometimes we have to behave civilly in a social situation Leah.

Typical Leah. Last night she said she will explain the incident and now radio silence. Her typical -"The truth will come out". She must have come down from the pillses.

I was just coming on to post about the truth coming out! She likely wants to be vague with the details lest her own culpability be examined.

If we ever hear about it again, I guarantee it will be something to the effect of "Delta has reached out to me to make amends, and I have accepted their apology. I am not going to dwell on it in the interest of moving on".

Translated to Leah speak- I fucked up and will now sweep it under the rug under the guise of being the bigger person. In actuality, I am relying on the wronged party to be the bigger person and not call me out on what I did. I suspect they will because unlike me, they have a modicum of class and maturity. It won't rub off on me, but I will benefit from that.

Eye roll. I actually hope she is back with Jeremy, instead of just posting things like this to make Jason jealous. Something makes me think Queen of the Hollar might be doing the latter, if Jason isn't fawning over her and begging for her to take him back!

ETA: just realized Jeremy posted the pic, but my concern still stands. I wouldn't put it past her to have a revenge fling with Jeremy, since Jason disliked him so much!

Hopefully her daughters WILL give a fuck about grammar.

What happened to her online grammar quizzes she was taking?

Also, the biioooootch seems rather out of character for her. This seems more like something Jenelle or Kail would say.

Given her irrational SM posts lately, I think she's definitely back on something.

Went to her page....I totally  called this one:

Quote

My anxiety was at an all-time high after my experience with a flight attendant but I just want to thank @Delta for contacting me and doing their best at making sure passengers don’t have that same experience in the future! That’s what is MOST important to me!

Also, surprisingly, the comments on this one are not really that ass-kissy- most of them are calling her entitled and attention seeking, and calling her out for vaguebooking.

Oh. Another "the truth will come out" post.

Leah, still awaiting for the truth on:

Corey framing you with your girls' teacher's help just to fuck with you

Jeremy leaving you because you were mentally ill, not because you were a pill popping compulsive spender who couldn't get out of bed before 2 pm

Delta flight attendant throwing you off a plane for no reason

Now Jason, who Leah has said very recently is a good guy and just not right for her, has his skeletons in the closet as well?

Well, Leah, I guess you can take the girl off the Jerry Springer set, but you can't take the Jerry-ness out of the girl...

Yup! She’s back on “them pillses” FOR SURE! I typed it in her type of “grammar” so if she ever reads this she can understand it. Those poor girlses, they will always have to deal with this drugged out hick relapsing every few mos/years. Gracie better get the canned ravioli and gas station snacks ready and start prepping her sisters for school, cause we already know the late drop offs to school are next!

Remember when she had narcolepsy?  😂

Quote

Leah is responding to accusations that she caused the twins to arrive late to school with a new medical problem. Messer claims that she suffers from a sleep disorder called narcolepsy. That condition causes sufferers to sleep at intervals without control.

But Twitter wasn’t sympathetic.

“It’s annoying when u say u have #narcolepsy when you did not get diagnosed w/ it,” challenged one person. “It’s a serious disease. get educated.”

Leah defended herself by admitting that she was being tested but claimed that the physicians had already diagnosed her even though the results of the tests hadn’t come in.

“They are still doing the testing. They are pretty sure that’s what I have,” said Messer.

I think it's Jeremy's influence as well. Read the tweet in his voice, and it sounds perfect! She's done gone knockin' boots with the pipeliner man, and she's done inherited his defensive attitude too!

You’re totally right. That and her follow up dumbfuck post is so Jeremy.

Which is really too bad, because the ONE thing she had going for her maturity wise was her general disinclination to bother answering people insulting her on social media.

I suspect “us who are intelligent” Jeremy is also behind her sudden “I like the way I talk” post as well.

“Yes, I happen to enjoy sounding like an inbred yokel, what of it?”
