There was some good in Farrah the first couple of seasons, but I think the fame has gotten to her head.  She (like Tyler) thinks of herself as a big star and it really has affected her attitude.  Tyler thinks he is too good for a regular job, not realizing that he is qualified to do very little in the real world (fake novelist does not count).

However, it feels like OG Teen Mom is going to last forever, so maybe this gravy train will never end for any of them, because it will be a rude awakening for a lot of the participants.

I'm with Great Kazu. I don't think Farrah is faking it for a storyline. I think she really is a vile, horrible person. She's not a good actor, IMO. Perhaps she plays things up from time to time, but given everything we've seen and heard, I really do think she's dead inside.

I think she's probably somewhere in between. I think in general she's an insane, selfish and bad person whose family is fairly disturbed and dysfunctional  but she probably amps it up, lest she become Snoozer Maci. Similarly I think C&T talk about Carly  a lot only to keep their story relevant and tied to the main theme of the show. If it weren't for TM, I doubt Tyler would give Carly a 2nd thought.

If that is the case, why not focus on Nova? If Maci can show us her parenting of her other two kids, not just Bentley, why are The Bacterias still talking about a child that was never theirs once they handed her over to B&T? They switched when Catelynn was pregnant and her story line focused on her pregnancy, her diabetes, and the impending birth of Carly's replacement.

So the place was empty on a hot weekend, and someone else commented that she was told they only have one person working at a time because it is so slow?  That can't be good.  I wonder how Sophia Laurent and Furnished by Farrah are doing.  There are virtually no reviews on either business on Yelp or elsewhere.

Anyone else see this picture of Farrah? Such a bad photo. In addition to making it look like she's wearing a diaper, she also appears to be missing half her waist, thanks to the white shirt blending in with the water behind her.

I can totally picture her having Sophia drink that detox tea crap after indulging in Halloween candy. This is the same woman who started waxing the poor child's brows at, what? The age of 3? That kid is in for MASSIVE body image issues.

That's her house in TX.  It was a furnished model home, and I believe she bought it lock, stock, and barrel.  Perhaps it was still in escrow when they were filming, so the real estate promotional stuff was still on the walls, etc.

Yea, she claimed to have run in to some problems with the landlord where she was planning to have the shop, so everything was put on the shelf until a nearby froyo shop went out of business this year and she took over the space which was already built out.

Farrah's wording is what is throwing you off. She is laying claim she left the abusive household she grew up in. My question to her would be, how can she say that when she is still with the people whom she claims were abusive to her? She practically drags them into her life, and uses Sophia as her weapon, when she needs them which seems to be about 100 percent of the time.

You left the horrible abusive family you grew up with????  The same family that you let take care of Sophia all the time, so you can attend your all important porn conventions?

Face it, your mother and father are your only friends and they are giant supporters and enablers of everything you do, good or bad.  Without them, you would be talking to a brick wall ninety percent of the time, because with the exception of Simon, you have no one else in your life that will tolerate you.

I am so sad for Sophia.  So very sad.  That scene where she brought Grandma Debra some pizza to comfort her?  And just hugged her for dear life?  They need each other:  Debra needs Sophia so she can have the relationship with a child that she seemingly screwed up on with Farrah, and Sophia needs Debra because she's getting the affection, love, and attention that her hosebeast of a mother cannot give her.

And to top it off, I have never -- NEVER -- used bad language around my daughters (8 and 6).  They may have heard me mumble "dumb" or "stupid" ('bad words' they've known since preschool days), but I cannot imaging dropping F-bombs around my daughters or any children for that matter.  And it doesn't even occur to Farrah that maybe she needs to curb the language?  And the insults to Debra?  I couldn't even follow the reasons she was so angry at Debra because so many f-bombs were escalating and taking different directions in Farrah's conversation.

I swear, the older Sophia gets, you can almost feel that this child is SO over it -- the TMOG crew, the cameras, the fights -- all of it.  I can no longer bring myself to make fun of Sophia.  She is being raised in an abusive environment and it hurts my heart to witness that this environment is all she knows.

Gawd, I hate Farrah.

I don't feel like checking the DVR right now, but is that what he was claiming? Because I swear he said in a previous episode, or Amber said it, that he did contact Farrah and Jenelle, but it was before he met her and all he was tweeting to them was they were beautiful. That is the explanation I recall.

Farrah gets mad and explosive at Deb. She throws out these accusations of Debra having men in the home, accusations that Debra denies. She throws out other accusations. Deb denies them as well. We then watch a scene where Farrah approaches Sophia and asks her for her opinion. Sophia tells Farrah exactly how she feels about her mother. What does Farrah do? She denies all the things Sophia just called her out on. See the pattern here?

Yup. He was saying that it was poker night with all his bros and someone brought up Farrah's porn. So they were all, "Oooh, let's see if she has a Twitter". (Why? Because she'd have porn on her Twitter???) And then they happened to notice her complaining about online dating, so his "friend" evidently grabbed Matt's phone and tweeted that part about taking Farrah out. Matt, himself, had nothing to do with it. 

Suuuuure. And Maci hates beer and Cate joined the PTA.

If I were Farrah's mother & that bipolar, plastic-looking bitch started venting all that hate & vile language to me, (camera crew or not) I would pack my bags..... and as I was leaving tell her: As your mother I did the best I could for you, but after years of listening to your abusive rantings, I cannot do so any longer. I wish you happiness in your life, success in all your business ventures & hope you give Sophia, a good life,  but from this moment on, I want no further contact with you.

Farrah would just yell and curse the entire time and Deborah would look like a fool yet again. Besides, she won't do that because then Farrah won't help her financially (and throw it in her face later).

It also seems like Farrah is a little jealous of her mom, who has had at least three relationships to her one non-relationship with Simon. Also, just because your therapist told you to not introduce Sophia to a man you're dating until after a year, that has nothing to do with Deborah. I wonder if Farrah yells at Michael and Deborah like that when the cameras aren't around. She seems to get a kick out of humiliating her family in front of the world.

Regarding the mention of Farrah helping Deb financially, you know, considering Farrah expects her parents to drop their jobs on a whim, then run to her across different states, fly here and fly there (which isn't cheap), help her with her kid, work like dogs to help her with her business ventures, kiss her ass, clean her house, babysit for months at a time throughout the year, do all the things they do for her, the very least Farrah could do is help Deb and Michael financially. Farrah would have to actually pay someone to do the things she expects from her parents such as a nanny/housekeeper/maid/babysitter/employee.

It's overwhelming how many different things are going on with Farrah, your mind just boggles watching her. It's like she lives in her own world, her own reality. This is how her world looks:

1. She has severe body dysmorphia. She looks like a cartoon character. She has some twisted sick idea of how she is supposed to look, and she is annoyed at her mother for having given birth to her with such inferior features. It has cost her a lot to correct those errors.

2. Her aggressive defensiveness. Farrah believes that everyone is trying to attack her all.the.time. If she doesn't keep a sharp eye on them, people will just run right over her. She believes everybody wants to take advantage of her. And this belief is coupled with...

3. Her paranoid self-pity.  

4. Her utter, total, complete self absorption. Farrah literally spends not one moment of her day ever considering anybody other than herself. Ever. Like a form of inner blindness. And so because of that....

5. She has zero empathy, no understanding whatever of other people, whether that's her mother or the check-out guy at the Safeway. Why should she waste her time worrying about people who don't matter?

6. She believes there is one right way to be for everybody, all the time, and she knows what it is. Anything other than that is just shit.

7. She appears to have nobody in her life that she has any kind of real relationship with. Her parents just kow-tow for the cameras; both of them are fame whores, so there is nothing real going on there. Simon is a prop. Who else does she have? I can't believe how lonely she must be, but it's totally covered over by anger. She is the angriest person. Being angry is her JOB. She isn't lonely cuz she has her anger.

8. Farrah thinks she needs to be able to tell people off at that drop of a hat, cut off her opponent with a caustic rebuke, this clumsy verbal jousting, she has the idea this makes her seem smart. Formidable. Nobody's fool. She tells it like it is. In her reality. In actual reality, she sounds like a brain-damaged banshee.

9. Farrah seems to have no interests or desires other than the fame, money, status thing. She has absolutely no curiosity or interest in anything outside of her little celebrity drama. Total tunnel vision. Nothing else matters. The only way she'd give a shit about an earthquake in Turkey is if it somehow raised the price of her favorite mascara.

I think Farrah was always this way, but getting tons of money from MTV made it possible for her to "actualize" her "potential" in ways that really unveil all those screwed-up mental processes. She really believed that "sex tape" would make her Kim K-level famous, and it fucking pisses her off to no end that it didn't. WHY NOT? She really believes she has the ultimate body men find desirable, and that is the first and most important thing about a woman, period, and it fucking pisses her off that she doesn't have A-list top quality unbearded men lined up outside her front door next to the port-a-potty waiting to ask for her hand like fucking Prince Charming. Not fair! She really believes Debra is constantly trying to undermine her, second guess her, criticize her. I mean, I do give her credit for hard work and ambition; she is never lolling on a couch chewing her nails or playing solitaire. But, well, to put it mildly, she's one messed up person.

Although I really don't have any idea (none of us do) about what Farrah was like growing up or whether she is telling the truth because she has lied many, many times (DUI, sex tape, the Derrick relationship, etc.), I am leaning towards Farrah always being this way, but the fame and status she believes she deserves, has really elevated whatever mental problems she has going on. Similar to how people with mental health issues or disorders turn to alcohol or drugs. The addiction exacerbates the already existing problem.

Farrah mentioned last night, and has on other occasions, Debra having slapped her that one time when her mother was arrested. Not one word has ever been uttered about any of the physical abuse she claimed she endured growing up. Farrah has claimed to have grown up in a horribly abusive home. It was so abusive "Dr." Jen said it was the most horrible thing she has ever heard in all her professional years as a therapist. When one has been abused, and they remind their abuser of when they have been abusive to them, they tend to mention the most disturbing moments. Farrah never mentions any other abuse at the hands of Deb or Michael. Farrah has no qualms leaving her child in the care of "abusers". Farrah has no qualms having "abusers" in her home. I find Farrah's claims questionable.

Do I think Farrah had a messed up childhood?  Yes, there was obviously a lot of weirdness going on.

Do I think Farrah was abused the way she claims she was abused...brutally beaten...I think in one of her many interviews she mentioned chains and whips, or something to that affect.

No, I believe that she did get back handed once in a while and I witnessed it on her original 16 and Pregnant.  I do not condone hitting a child, but I do think Farrah enjoys exaggerating her suffering.  First, if her parents were that bad, then why the heck is she leaving Sophia with them all the time?  I also think she believes that pretending to be horribly abused will get her sympathy and a pass on all present and future bad behavior.

Farrah has lied about everything and anything.  Her biggest obvious stupid lie was pretending her porn was a sex tape.  She then claimed she was paid millions for the distribution, when the company has stated that she got the standard fee of 10K.

She takes no responsibility or agency for her own actions.  If people disagree with her they are "jealous" or if they are a hetero male, they are just secretly madly in love with her.

Her idea of therapy is a therapist just blindly agreeing that Farrah is always right and everyone else is wrong.

I think she is deeply damaged, but will never look inward to fix herself and therefore will not make any progress on her emotional and mental health.
