So now it’s Tyler and his friends sitting around laughing at shit on Twitter. Cate misses out on this one.  I guess Nova will fend for herself.

Is Tyler going to "LMAO" and go to bed?

Carly has not asked for any of this and she certainly doesn't deserve any of this. I am not mad at Simon. I am pissed at Tyler for being so quick on the trigger to get into these twitter wars. Tyler knows people have thrown the adoption in his face before. He even tweeted it wasn't the first time he has heard that insult being lodged against him.

Well, dickhead, you know people will use what you give them, and you have kept Carly front and center on the fucking show by talking about her. You expect constant praise for giving her up for adoption. You forget that people won't see it that way and will criticize you for threatening your future wife to choose you or the baby. Your wife is in rehab and making suicidal threats, but it is more important to you to keep up this drama. If you keep poking, don't get mad or upset when people react. All of this started because you HAD to respond to the blind item. By doing so, the blind item guy brought in Simon for his two cents. And now, Carly gets her name out there. Again.

But how you can you believe Simon when he insults solely on looks? Plus giving Carly away was the best thing they ever did. Why start shading on that now?

Not that Tyler doesn’t deserve some shade, but this guy always barks up the wrong tree.

I didn't say I believe Simon, I was posting Tyler and Simon's twitter battle-lol

Yes- I have no problem with Simon throwing shade at Tyler for his actual faults- but insulting him about the adoption just makes not a lick of sense.

The sadder question is what was I doing?

Girl, you provided us with tea on this board. :-)

I got my house in tip-top shape. I have guests coming down from Sacramento to visit us next week. I did 9 loads of laundry (folded and put towels and clothes away, too), cleaned underneath the washer and dryer (lots of lint and dust!), put some stuff out in the garage, cleaned out my refrigerator, and I even made some lunch. I am now going to get ready because we are invited to a party. Tyler can't say he got anything done. Nova is with April, as she usually is.

They did make the right decision.

It wasn’t a “they” decision. Tyler and his mother bullied Catelynn into adoption.  Wanting Carly to have a stable life was not the reason, though they try to shape the narrative to look as though they were putting her needs first. Kim didn’t want her precious son to have to pay child support. That’s it. Catelynn was powerless to Tyler and Kim because she wanted to keep him happy.

You are correct, it wasn't a "they" decision.

Reasons aside, I fully believe that placing Carly for adoption was 100% the best decision for her and, in all honesty, for Catelynn and Tyler, as well.  While we don't know completely what Carly's life is like, I'm betting it is absolutely better than the other kids on this show because she hasn't been used as a pawn like Bentley, had a mother who would rather screw the leach of the month than spend time with her like Leah, get ignored and eat crap off the floor like Nova, or live in the complete dysfunction that is Sophia's life.  She definitely seems to be living in a stable, loving household with two parents looking out for her best interest.  Besides, we all know that there was no way to know that 16 and Pregnant would have been picked up to become Teen Mom when they chose adoption and we don't know if they even would have been chosen for Teen Mom or even 16 and Pregnant if they didn't go with adoption.  That really made them stand out and is the only reason that they are still together for one and not living in a very different lifestyle.

The audacity of Tyler to tell another about allowing themselves to be "filmed and aired for the world to see!" Who has sold their soul to the devil here?

Omg.

Look, here'smy view. Tyler and Caitlyn should've never been together in the first place. They should've worn protection. Cait should've broke it off as soon as Tyler told her it was him or the baby. Cait probably regrets giving up Carly. It's been 10 years. It's time to break it off and move on from Tyler and the adoption.

I agree. Tyler and Kim were very right- at 16 Tyler wasn’t willing or able to Parent, Kim was not willing to raise another child (although she was generous with Catelynn when she had no obligation to be); and Catelynn was in a WORST position than Tyler was in regarding support to parent at 16. Despite not WANTING to do so, Catelynn knew it too, that’s why she placed Carly.

I disagree with Simon on that one, Tyler isn’t a “pussy” for wanting his child to be raised and loved by people who wanted her and could take care of her. He didn’t leave his baby in a garbage can or pretend Catelynn didn’t exist (while she was going through her depressive episodes) OR claim he was going to be “there” and then cut and run when the novelty wore off and the child needed clothes to wear like all the other teen dads save Gary, Corey and Jo.

That was the most honest and mature thing he ever did, despite the social backlash- there is nothing noble about making your life more difficult and expecting your minor child (an innocent in the situation) to suffer along with you.

Farrah KEPT Sophia mostly to spite Deborah, “if you’re going to make me carry this pregnancy to term hot damn I will have something to show for it.”, and because Derek had died and all the emotions that went along with that. She didn’t parent Sophia because she had strong maternal attachement or desire. I’m not saying she doesn’t care for her, or neglect her (that isn’t the case), but had her contraceptive method not failed I think Farrah would probably still be childless if not childfree by choice. Nothing wrong with that- doesn’t make her morally superior to someone who places a child for adoption.

So now the story is Farrah did porn because she was a young single mom & needed to support her daughter? ? ok Simon.

That has always been her story. Whether one likes Farrah or not, she is truly a single parent who is supporting her child. Sophia's dad is dead. Porn may not be suitable work for many people, but it is a job that is legal. Cate and Tyler can't even bother to acquire any kind of work.

  • Love 15

While there are a million things Farrah could have done before porn, I do respect that she found a way to secure money for herself and her child when this show inevitably ends.  The school thing didn’t work, so she pursued several ventures to make sure she would be taken care of.  None of these other idiots have thought that far into the future.

Catelynn and Tyler have their “clothing company” but throwing 6 shirts into boxes  every few months does not make for a successful business.  There’s no way that company (I refuse to type the name) has legs when the show ends.

Thank you.  A woman has to make a living, and I won't hold it against her if she chooses to do so in one of the most lucrative industries on earth.  Farrah has taken advantage of her most attractive, youngest years.  If some people are prudes and have a problem with her bringing home the coin for her and So PHEE Uh's future, well, that's on them.

If I could make hundreds of thousands for having sex on camera, sign me up. I can’t shame someone for doing porn, especially since men have raped women since the dawn of time.  Catelynn and Tyler have never worked a day in their lives.  Farrah is a moody bitch, but she’s working shifts in her fro-yo place and her two stores.

I wonder if Cate finally addressed what must be near the very core of her depression: that she gave up Carly because Tyler and Kim wanted her to do it.

I may run my big mouth about "slamming the door" on the adoption, but maybe B&T see something in Catelynn that tells them that it would absolutely kill Catelynn if she were totally denied access to Carly.  Even just the idea of having access to her someday.

Tyler can go suck a bag of dicks.  In New Orleans, if you like.

I’ve never wanted them to close the adoption because I think it would destroy Catelynn.  I get the feeling that B&T see that Tyler was the driving force behind the adoption and the subsequent drama following on Teen Mom.  They have to know that by punishing Tyler, they are also punishing a girl who is one phone call away from a breakdown. Teresa also seems to genuinely feel sorry for and see how fragile Catelynn is.
