The money he spent in fast food and gas station snacks while traveling the state was probably part of his defense attorney's negotiations. In all seriousness, I'm guessing the pot was going from a legal dispensary in California to a legal one in Colorado and he could prove it. So the State would have to try him to his peers and the defense would be how the only crime he committed was driving on the roads of the State with cargo the State says is illegal, and they would point out all the hundreds of dollars he spent supporting the interstate businesses. 

The judge doesn't have to accept it. but with pot not being viewed as negatively as in the past, it may not be worth it to take him to trial over it. Fine him high, put him on an expensive community control release and harvest his dollars that way and opposed to having to pay to keep him in jail. After the September hearing in front of the judge we'll probably learn more.

I know this might appear to show me as heartless, but I'd be delighted if they threw the book at Jorge.  Even without jail time, a huge fine could have an impact on him.  I'm so tired of all of his "I don't know" and lies.  He seems like he has always avoided responsibilities and consequences for his actions and lies ("I never got around to it" justifying taking over 10 years to take a DNA test).  This may finally be a situation in which he cannot lie his way out of it or ignore it hoping that it will just go away.

After watching the yoga challenge video they did together I really wonder about the show and how much of the couples story lines are fake for tv. Anfisa and Jorge seem to be really close and very touchy feely with one another in this video totally opposite from what we have seen from these two on tv. 

Something is just not adding up with these two.

These two are adorable in this video. They seem very close and like they get each other. Also, Anfisa is hilarious when she is obviously reading the very scripted piece for the body weight scale. Ok, I will take your bait, if you really want to know. 

Number one for me as far as disliking Pao, is how she and Juan are. The fact that she is best friends with that disgusting, smug mean girl speaks volumes about her. Juan could probably make Regina George cry. I have zero tolerance for catty, rude people like Juan and Pao. On the other hand, I have never seen Anfisa behave that way.

Number two, yes, Anfisa was awful to Jorge in the beginning and that was not ok. But, have you ever been in any kind of relationship with someone you trusted and depended upon, and they disappointed you, in a huge way? I'm not excusing her conduct, but I do think she was a young woman who was extremely frustrated, scared, and let down. She got the polar opposite of what he promised her, not to mention his mountain of lies in general! He completely mislead her.

Which brings me to point 3 - Anfisa is only 22, Pao is 30.

Number four is that Anfisa picked herself up and did things to better her life. She got a drivers license, she is going to college for a business degree, and seems to be working on herself on all levels. She uses her brain and intelligence, whereas Pao seems to base her whole existence on her looks.

Anfisa sticks by and supports her husband, even though he doesn't deserve it, while all Pao does is whine and fuss about her needs and wants, and cross Russ's boundaries. Not to mention letting that barnacle Juan disrespect her husband at every turn.

So basically, I feel that Anfisa just needs to mature more, which she seems to be doing, whereas I think Pao will continue to be a self absorbed mean girl.

If think the show is very fake.  The whole idea of the original show is you have 90 days to decide if you will marry. Will they or won't they?  Ooh... the tension!  But really we know that the 90 day visa is to take care of pre-wedding things that need to be done.  It's not importing some stranger on a 90 day trial.

On Happily Ever After? they need to have (or think they need to have) that tension again, so everyone gets a storyline - will they or won't they stay married?!  I don't think TLC fame is that great that ALL those couples would stay together if they were really all so miserable.  This could be a really interesting show if TLC would be more honest.  I'd rather see some clips like the yoga one thrown in, rather than re-hasing the same argument for each couple over and over again.

I don't think Anfisa was actually going to hit her, but I think she reached critical mass with Pao's crap, just like she did with Jorge. She seems to let things roll most of the time, but like everyone, she has her limits. I am a completely non violent person, and even I want to smack Pao! However, at last season's Tell All Paola withiut any provocation started attacking Anfisa on very personal levels, while Anfisa simply defended herself and minded her own business. In Russian culture there is a deep dislike towards being two-faced or giving fake smiles, which is what Paola displayed when she tried to give her quick apology in front of everyone.

But to me, this makes Anfisa look like a high school girl.  In real life, people will talk shit about you and smile in your face.  You know they don't like you but most times it's not worth it to start a confrontation just because someone talked nonsense about you, they're acting like the Real Housewives of....whatever.

I'll be honest, I'm confused by you being confused about it. Gorge lied about having a child, much like he's lied about many, many other things. The massive difference is this: a child is not like those other things. A child is a living, breathing human that needs parenting. She flat out stated she has no desire to be a stepmom. I have zero desire to be a stepmom too, so I get it. If I found out my hypothetical husband not only had a kid out there, but lied about it, I'd bail too and not look back. Hell, even if my husband DIDN'T know, but found out, I'd bail. You might think that makes me a bitch or evil or something, but the reality is I don't want anything to do with parenting in any form. Ever. And if the kid is Gorge's (which is very likely, IMO) then he *should* be in the kid's life - whether he shells out $ or not - which would mean she would be an unwilling stepmom if she stayed. As someone who grew up with a resentful parent (and a resentful step parent later), I'm glad she knows enough about herself to bail instead of sticking around. Kids know when they aren't wanted by someone. And quite frankly, I don't think he has enough love for anyone other than himself, much less the two of them.

Whether it's her or not, a significant number of participants in the show spent time looking at it, so they can all drop the innocent act and the 'how could you' attitudes.  Annie and her declaration of how it really looked like Anfisa, obviously just wanted something to talk about the next time she and David went to the (ping pong) bar.  David said that Anfisa and Jorge act superior to everyone else; he intentionally reversed the subject order in that sentence because what he really meant was that everyone felt superior to Anfisa.  Hypocrites the bunch of them.  Having said that, I have to give shout outs to Chantel, Pedro, Nicole, and Azan who remained quiet on the subject.

In past seasons, Anfisa has been ripped a new one, repeatedly. Unlike the other bozos on this show, though, Anfisa seems to have matured and gained some insight into her behavior. I know someone speculated it's only for the cameras, but I disagree, because Anfisa has a hard time not keeping things brutally real. 

We see Nicole, Pao, Danielle and others doing the same stupid stuff season after season, and just not getting why they have "haters", i.e., people who point out the flaws in their thinking. This has absolutely nothing to do with race or nationality. At all. It's all about people's behavior.

So that is why there has been some respect shown for Anfisa now, because she is willing to learn, and change, and most of the time, she's been the only one on the show displaying some intelligence and insight.

There could be various reasons. She was very young when she did that. I'm not too familiar with Russian culture, but possibly it could cause problems for her family. Maybe she fears someone who was involved in helping her with it. She doesn't mind posting very seductive pictures of herself, so I don't think she's denying it out of embarrassment. I don't think we can make assumptions, since we don't know the circumstances under which she did it. I imagine young girls getting involved in this type of work deal with some very sketchy individuals.

I seen the video last season.  She must have been pretty young. How long has she been on the show? I think Jorge paid for her boob job. She’s had them the whole time she’s been on the show.

The Anfisa Appeal to me is that (1) She is brutally honest - sometimes to her detriment. No surprises & her agenda is open.  (2) She has a dry sarcastic sense of humor I find hilarious (3) She is ultimately loyal to Jorge even though he is such a hot mess (4) Although she does not seem to have girlfriends, she is someone I could see myself hanging out with & laughing with; she seems like a person who can be self deprecating and fun. I would love to get a drink with her at HH after work.  Maybe it is a choice edit. I would rather eat poo than spend time with Pao.

I think her age is the least of her problems. She just isn't pretty enough to make a living as a model.
