I almost stopped this show in episode 2 or 3 but stuck with it and it grew on me exponentially. It will be missed. Brutal week for shows I watch. So many getting the axe.

I just saw that ABC renewed Tuesday drama 'For the people.' What a joke. That show had completely disastrous ratings, worse than Deception, and Deception actually improved the slot when it aired on Tuesday a few weeks ago. Goes to show that its vitally important for networks to own their own shows now. Deception was licensed by an outside studio.

I'm seriously bummed by this news. I know I'm going to be hoarding these last few episodes (I'm a rewatcher) on my DVR for a long time. Now my concern is a cliffhanger ending. Ugh.

I haven't been so annoyed since Common Law got canceled in it's first season, and that I saw coming more than this.

WTF, ABC? I love this show. Between this and Once being gone, I guess I'm done watching the channel.

Pretty close here as well. I still do enjoy Shark Tank, and I still watch Modern family and The Goldbergs, but both of those sitcoms have really run their course IMO.

So, this episode was the weakest of the season so far, but it still had some very strong moments and I'm going to miss this show dearly.

We're so close in getting information about Sebastian Black, and now I fear he'll be the cliffhanger that'll never be resolved. So much could be done with this show. We learn more about the Black history, which is fun. I liked some of Cameron and Kay's case. I liked the conversations Cam had with the reporter.

I liked Jonathan's subplot a lot. I thought it was fun to see him get in on the deception from within the prison walls. I like how the team helped Jonathan out. I can't blame him for not turning to Cameron either. Unfortunately, his own brother didn't quite believe him.

Kay and Cameron's relationship is fun to watch. I liked the secret society stuff, and the astronaut that was a part of it. I also like him giving Cameron that pen. I assume that could come into play shortly.

I had a hard time getting into it. Knowing it's been canceled makes me feel like what's the point in investing in it.

Cameron's attitude to Jonathan's concerns annoyed me. He's still out there having fun and only seems to remember his brother when he needs his help.

The Crossing doesn't have an episode listed beyond May 14, 2018.  Of course there always is the possibility that there aren't anymore episodes left to air beyond this one.

According to this http://epguides.com/Crossing/ there are 3 more episodes to The Crossing and like Deception the two final ones at the same night. Lets hope they at least give some closure.

This cancelation is the one that bums me out the most. There is still so many places for this story to go plus having such a great cast.

Aside from Jonathan's prison deception this episode kinda felt like filler. We found out a little about grandpa Black for Cameron but to me it wasn't enough for an episode.

Looks like Jonathan now has some prison cred so he shouldn't be getting beat up anymore. Glad the team was willing to help.

Oh mystery pen I wonder what it could mean.

I hope we get some answers and some type of conclusion. I'm going to be so mad if this ends on a cliffhanger.

Not my favorite episode. Hard to follow, the timeline was all over the place. They told the reporter not to meet with the guy while they were outside, but, by the time she gets inside and goes upstairs, they've set up inside with the entire team with a complicated rig to... scare him? Or something? And they got inside there with the bird and prop mask when? And Mario Van Peeples got there too, just because?

And why would the bad guy confess to her as a threat, show her the photos he took that explicitly implicate him in the crime, and then walk away with the reporter unescorted? He basically says "I killed your dad, here are the pictures of it", then hears a caw and just leaves her there in his office?

A lot I didn't get.

Yep. I look at some of the ridiculous shows that keep getting renewed and getting irrationally angry. Networks are so quick to cancel these days and it doesn’t give a show like this much of a chance to build an audience!

It's even more stupid when you look at the ratings and see that they're not only consistent, even with the special night, it did better than FTP in the Tuesday at 10pm timeslot AND it's done better than the previous two (or three) shows in the Sundays at 10pm timeslot. It may be the middle of the pack on the network, but it was still decent enough where it didn't need to be cancelled. Whatever show they put in the Sunday at 10pm timeslot next, if it does worse than Deception, then I'm gonna be pissed.

I wasn't paying close attention did the say why the prison guy framed Jonathan? He knows he has connecyions with the FBI, it would seem a better idea to frame a less high profile prisoner.

Somewhere down the line I figure that the boys father is still alive, even though I got the feeling in this episode that Cameron thinks he is dead.

I feel like we were told somewhere along the line that the boys' father is dead -- or maybe it's just that all the conversations about him centre around how the brothers were raised, and are therefore in the past tense? Nonetheless I had the feeling that this episode, with its focus on Great-Grandfather (Sebastian?) Black, would reveal that their father was really alive -- in fact, I expected that he would be revealed as the one who saved Cameron. And I figure that Sebastian (or is that the father's name? I can't remember) was more than a honorary member just because he built the Corvus Vale HQ.

How is it that Jonathan is 10x hotter than Cam - yet it's the same actor, same haircut...   Lurve me some Jonathan.   I am going to be very, very sad to not see him on my TV every week.  Sniffle.

This show really grew on me and became one of my 'must see tv' shows.

The writing and acting are top notch from top to bottom.

Sorry to see it go when some truly awful shows were saved.

Story of my (tv) life.

This cancellation sucks.  I really enjoyed this show and especially the cast.  I guess I'm grateful we got a full season of Deception and it was all at once, instead of the shameful way they've treated shows in the past, like showing two episodes in January, then burning off the rest in the summer without any notice.

I got an email from ABC on Tuesday trumpeting their new fall shows and quite honestly I don't care.  I don't trust them anymore.  They run endless seasons of the Bachelor/Bachelorette and any show Shonda Rhimes even glances at, but they've cancelled just about any show I've given a chance to and enjoye in the past few years pretty quickly.  I feel like I'm done being disappointed by them for awhile.

I feel like there’s no point in starting new shows until they’ve been around for a few seasons.  I may be jaded because ABC, NBC, and CBS have all yanked a show on me in the last year after 13 episodes or less.

Not a bad episode, but knowing it's close to the end, it's just making me more and more sad.

I did enjoy Isaac, and I didn't outright hate Cameron/Kay's stuff. I could really do without the romance, as I love their partnership.

Oh no, Dina, don't steal your new boyfriend's ID and break his trust. He'll obviously be finding that out soon, especially since it led to MW getting the diamond.

I really wanted more answers in this episode. I guess we will get most of the answers in the finale next week.

Also—after Cam got shot, while he was lying on the sidewalk with Kay, he said two lines of dialogue, neither of which i got. Anybody have their closed captioning on and can tell me what it was?

If I’m not mistaken, he was trying to say ”Tada!” But was in too much pain to get both syllables out.

Always good to see Brett Dalton on my screen. Of course, by default I suspect he’s actually an undercover bad guy in every role he takes, so part of me kept waiting for him to pull a gun on Kay.

I loved the absentminded card and coin tricks Cameron and Jonathan were doing during their phone conversations — there was some neat stuff there. In the first convo, Cameron’s eureka moment was accompanied by the card he was holding flipping into a completely different card.  And in the second convo, I loved the part where Cameron threw a card in the air and the shot switched to Jonathan catching the coin. Nicely done.

This ep would not feel so much like wheel-spinning if we didn’t know the end was nigh. Why, oh why, is the end nigh?

Yeah, it's the timing of the episode that feels off, it would've been better to have this air before the 2 parter and have that lead up to the finale tbh.

A gun strong enough to fire a bullet, but not strong enough to be dropped on the ground. What will Lego think of next? The gun probably only fired one bullet anyway and was empty when she waved if at the security guard.

I would have preferred a gun made from things in a makeup bag like the gun barrel being a lipstick tube, the bullet being the red lipstick inside, nail polish, a compact, eyeliner and a makeup brush.

I've been a fan of this show.  Took awhile, but the show grew on me.  But one thing that doesn't work is Cam/Kay.  Buddies, friends, partners?  Yes.  Love interests, nope.  I don't see sexual chemistry at all, and as a result, this episode was kinda meh for me.  I'm here for Dina/Mike, with a little Jonathan thrown in.  That triangle works.

I'm going to miss it when it's gone.  :(

How did the guard, working for MW, know that Dina had Mike's card? Unless the whole reduction problem was a set up to trigger the theft of the card and (ostensibly for access to the "redacted" page). My first thought was that Johnathan redacted the page himself as an excuse to ask her to steal the card, but him being the MW accomplice does not make sense. So who?

Well, the guard knew that Jonathan set Dina up to steal the card. I figure he had been keeping an eye on her. Dina also gave Jonathan the information off screen, right? That's when he would have known that she might have still had the card. Though why she didn't put it back in Mike's office after she was done with it, I have no idea. It was definitely a contrivance in order to move the plot forward.

Couldn't find the edit function so quoting myself:)

The obvious answer just occurred to me - the guard must have done the redaction himself during the transfer stage to Johnathan (I assume anything passed on to him is checked in the prison).

Because the guard lifted it off her at some point--she may have been on her way to give it back.

When they showed that the device wasn't on her, I was yelling "Don't take her to HQ!" But nobody ever listens to me. It was obvious that it was a ruse to get her inside the building. Although I didn't see the guy she shot being in on it. And escaping through the vents....really? I also have a nitpick, more than likely after they knew she had gotten free, they would have locked that building down, nobody in or out.

Why wasn't "she built the gun inside" a more obvious conclusion? You find the pieces shattered nearby, the first thing that I thought of was "oh, she must have been working on that for a while.

Oh yes, I love when they both just do their thing and we can see just how ingrained those habits are for them. They make it look so easy.

Oh Dina, you had to have known that no good could have come from Jonathan's "favor" But I think it shows that she still has a soft spot for him.

From the above comments, I'm gonna assume that this wasn't renewed, and that sucks. I think this show was just finding it's groove.

I didn't get how the gun "shattered", yet those were the pieces it was made from? Seems odd to build that gun out of randomly shaped pieces. Would have been more interesting/cooler if it was made of undetectable plastic. Or ice? (Or some kind of metal that was liquid at room temperature or something, so she kept it frozen. Or, a gun made out of metal that she snuck in as keys on her key ring, then melted down in the office microwave into the right shape.) Or, anything else original other than she made it out of pieces that made no sense. John Malkovich's gun in In The Line of Fire was more interesting. A gun made out of a pen casing and some spare parts would have been more interesting.

Although, I will give the actress credit, when she stole the macguffin in the beginning, she really did seem to hold it as if she was about to swallow it. They didn't show it, but, I thought it while I was watching, and it paid off later in the FBI headquarters.

I hope that security guard finds employment somewhere other than providing security.  He's standing there, armed, wearing a bulletproof vest, and folds as soon as she shoots the manager.  At least try something, dude.  And I was also puzzled why he would have the combo to the door in the first place.  It's not his job to go inside.  And then the agent in the room with the spy falls for the old "I think I'm going to be sick" routine.  The FBI needs to work on their protocols.

And Dina should have recognized that bump and lift trick out on the street.  It's been used enough in their profession.

Why would the FBI store an incredibly rare and expensive piece of jewelry in their evidence room?  Wouldn't the estate want it back?

Damn, Brett Dalton, although a fine actor, is not welcome on my screen. He fvcked with Daisy and then as Hive, weakened her. Don't fvck with my Daisy; she's been through too much already. AoS, insisted on bringing him back through his many incarnations, and I thought we were done with him. Most especially, keep him away from Kay.

So considering how seemingly every cancelled show nowadays refuses to die quietly, any word if someone is attempting to land this at another network?
