Ref. the Curtain household from back when....I actually did see Lynne's daughters as the most troubled and messed up (with the exception of Shane Keough, Jeanna's son who was a total maniac). EVEN back then, I was appalled with Lynne's kids.  The way she and husband dealt with them made me ill. The worse their behavior, the more rewards they got. It was disgusting. I thought then, that the girls would be lucky to survive to adulthood.  Apparently, things aren't that good for them, despite the money that Alexa recovered in court.  She was engaged in a fight with her husband when the incident occurred. Not that it was her fault, but, she seems to be very unstable.

My DVR recorded season two last week and I watched a few of them today. I noticed something that I don’t think I realized before. Tammy’s daughter Megan had a boyfriend named Roman who was a Pit Bull breeder. They go to Vegas for Tammy’s birthday and while there, Megan gets a straight up white supremacist tattoo. It’s an iron cross, which Hitler used as medals for his officers, and it’s widely known as Nazi symbol. 

 

When Tammy asked Megan what the tattoo meant, she said it was an iron cross because Roman’s kennel was called Iron Cross Kennels. So Megan basically was dating a white nationalist and got a Nazi tattoo.

 

It didn’t seem that Tammy knew the actual meaning of it and I’m not sure that Megan did either. But still, I found it totally fucked up, and I wonder why a bigger deal wasn’t made of it at the time by viewers or by Andy at the reunion (if there even was a season two reunion, I can’t remember)?

wasnt it Megan’s friends who trashed her BD party on a yacht one of Tammy’s friends loaned them?  Tammy and Lou were shady and trashy.  Not surprised their kids were dumb and shiftless.  Good times, though.  Megan being all broke on south beach and the other one paying her way.  Just go do ametuer night at club Madonna you lazy ass.

I don’t think we were as well versed in Nazi culture as we are now then (unfortunately). I didn’t know half the symbols I know now. Sad state of affairs. And Megan’s dumb ass is part Mexican so there is that. Sure that wouldn’t fit into the “Nazi pure blood” trash they like to feed on.

Slade is the worst. I can imagine Joe was anxious to get engaged, but I imagine that had as much to do with Slade’s insistence she become a full time babysitter/sex doll/emotional punching bag as it did with the show. If some guy wanted me to give up my career and move to a random OC track home to take care of his kids he couldn’t be bothered with and spend the rest of my free time stroking his ego I might want some assurances too. He was always awful and condescending and dismissive of her. I never particularly liked Joe but I was on her side regarding who I believed about their relationship.

Not to be pedantic, but the term "fake engagement ring" is ambiguous to me. I thought Jo meant the gem turned out to be fake (which would have been funny as hell) or it was a ring for a fake engagement for the show, but what she described was a ring with a setting to be filled at a future date.
