Jessa, Ben and Their Brood: Making a (Diaper) Mountain out of a Mold House

Message added by Scarlett45

The Duggars post about politics on social media frequently, but these social media posts are not an invitation to discuss politics here in this forum. This rule extends to Duggar adjacent families, friends, associates etc. Such discussions are a violation of the Politics Policy.

I understand with recent current events there may be a desire to discuss certain social media postings of those in the Duggar realm as they relate to politics- this is not the place for those discussions. If you believe someone has violated forum rules, report them, do not respond or engage.

As Freud himself might have said, "Sometimes a shirt is just a shirt."

Not when the wearer is the wife of a football player. These people's shirts ALWAYS have a stated purpose of some sort (think Pro Life Saved Me - paraphrasing - and Benham Brothers after their scandal). So no, I'm not buying that line. Sorry.

Isn't it a fairly common shirt that's in the ball park of what a lot of pregnant women wear?  I see shirts like that all the time on pregnant women.  I never wore them, mostly because I never had a baby bump large enough, and in the world I lived in, "humorous" t-shirts were never in style.  But they seem pretty common otherwise.

Heh, i looked at the shirt picture today and expected much worse then what i saw.

i actually thought it was one of the nicer things I've seen her in while pregnant. Like something a "normal" woman would wear.

I mean, we all know why the hands are there... Ben knew how to find Jessaa seaworld... but, nothing more really.

Brandon Keilen (Michael's fiance) also works at HQ, so you can get a gander at him, too!

I'm still curious to know whether or not people are allowed to visit HQ without officially signing up for something. I would so love to do an undercover story by going to a week of Journey to the Heart, but at 31 I think I may be too old. Bummer.

Haha. I have to agree. I honestly don't think it's intended to be a pro life shirt, or even a sex joke, but maybe I'm just being obtuse.

I guess now that she's married, Jessa can wear a shirt that calls attention to her boobs? That's all I thought about when I read the shirt.

Right! Gothard made a special point in one of his workbooks that women shouldn't wear shirts with illustrations or writing because it draws the eye to places that will defraud. That's supposed to be true whether you're married or not (since Mechelle is still obsessed with avoiding defrauding us with her knees) but I guess Jessa's headship doesn't object. Although, I can easily picture him being the jealous type. I think he even admitted as much.

Im suprised more people didnt comment on her passive agressive 6 second fathers day message. She could not have sounded more sarcastic, and it looked liked that air punch was some coded signal.Im sure she has fallen out with daddy dearest.

Maybe the penny has finally dropped regarding the lack of concern she was shown.

The shirt is defrauding. IT's NIKE and makes you immediately think of the sex slang "scored a touch down" or "hit a home run". Or it makes you ponder exactly how Jessa got pregnant. Suddenly I have thoughts of Ben having a big O.

I"m going to tell my teen sons to avert their eyes and look at the ground as she passes by. I don't want them thinking about any touchdowns.

Hahahaha.

Kinda reminds me of how the girls are always eating pickles and we all laugh. They have no clue how that looks to the rest of us.

Those Duggars are so culturally illiterate.

I hear ya, Marigold, but Jessa is not exactly "warm and nice" either.  I still don't get what the point is of them posting those greetings to their dad on youtube.  When I have a special message for my dad I go directly to him.  Just because it's not on youtube for the world to see doesn't mean it's not heartfelt.

Unless Jessa felt stupid and didn't want to do the video. That would account for her attitude. Ben didn't look angry or mad.

Jessa comes off all tough and bitchy but I think she is the most insecure of them all.

"Don't mess with Jess" didn't even know the names or flowers nor could she speak up and say that she wanted these or those even if she didn't know the names..I don't know the names of all flowers but I certainly could walk around a florist and say "what are these called, I love them!"

She is way more fragile than she likes you to think. I think Jessa is a lot of bravado.

Yeah, when the Duggars did Britain, Jim Bob acted like a huge tool to the Royal Horse Guards around the corner from Downing Street, and Jessa was so embarrassed, she literally tried to drag him away. She cares what people think, and she's kind of secretly ashamed of being a rube.

Skatelady, this is the first explanation of Jessa and Ben's interest in adoption that makes any sense. Not sense to a normal person, of course, but sense in an "I can totally see them doing that" kind of way.

I think Jessa desperately wants to be Brangelina.  I'm pretty sure it is what she dreams of at night - when no one is watching.  PEOPLE magazine covers - every week!

A lot of leg humpers have said that Jessa resembles Angelina so it would surprise me. If Jessa even knows who she is, of course.

Wow, a video of Jessa going through the car wash.  If the girls do get a spinoff, this is the kind of boring shit we can expect.  Why would you even post this?  Stupid, lazy, uneducated morons.  That probably is pretty exciting to them.  Maybe if you had a job or did something worthwhile, you would have something relevent to share.

That and the FREE lollipop.  That's kind of the Duggar MO, isn't it?

I thought Jackson's video was sarcastic, he thanked daddy for making every day special, 'expecially' birthdays, and his was like within the week following Josh being exposed as a hypocritical gelatinous molester.

I know this is wandering off thread, but I vote we all now agree to refer to Josh only as the "gelatinous molester."

Beyond perfect.

It would not suprise me if they try and do the show themselves, try and recreate the 19 kids show complete with talking heads etc.Only it would be even falser than anything tlc could do.Jim bob would script and oversee the entire thing.

Mark my words when its cancelled they will do this.

I'm certain you're right. They'll try selling the episodes for $2 a pop on youtube.

Nail on the head comment so spot on. They have no clue how they come off regardless of what they are doing.

Jill's wedding, to us tacky and cheap, to them best thing e.v.e.r.

Jessa's parking lot reception, tacky and cheap to us, to them best thing e.v.e.r.

We could write a book on the stoopid stuff they do.

  • Love 7

This is why I predict the show or the spinoff can't survive. The show is now sexualized - from pickle eating to Jessa's lollipop. I think their hardcore (pardon the pun) fans liked that there was very little of that in the show, or it was contained to give a surreptitious "thrill" (Derick and the ring).

But it's going to be everywhere now.

They wouldn't be the first fundie family to try it.

The car wash video...oh Jessa, with your looks you'd make a great porn actress; if only she was born into a different family. Her acting skills were pretty, uh, impressive.

Jessa Kardashian... hmm, it might have to change to Kessa. She'd be really famous then! And she could wear pants... win win.
