Joy moderating on a Wednesday? I’ll take it. I think she checks out during the fluff topics while the others are talking; can’t say I blame her. I was hoping Michelle alone would say she would not put up with cheating, but at least she and Joy did offer something interesting to the topic. I think Michelle’s right that many women just put up with it because being in any relationship is the most important thing to them. I mean, I can understand the idea that Sunny and Paula wouldn’t want to end their marriage over an affair, but you’re talking in hypotheticals. How many times did it happen, who the person was, etc. That all should matter to a normal person… Raven was stupid. Having an open relationship would make sense, but counting to three? LOL

 

Sunny continuing to join the Trump parade. You just know it’s because she’s friends with Paula. If there’s anything about her that’s been proven true, she’ll change on a dime to fit in with whoever will get her through the door. Good on Michelle for continuing to blame the media when Sunny tried to talk over her. This is why I wouldn't say I'm a fan of Sunny. She's only good by comparison.

So Raven , after her SO has the three... is Raven looking over her shoulder? for the fourth? etc? The three would indicate something to me. It sounds absurd. The notion of keeping score is baffling.

ANd if Sunny wouldn't leave her hubby after an affair, I'm not sure I'd admit that on TV. (Kind of sounds like a free ticket) [/jaded]

The show appears to be live today since they mentioned the NY primaries yesterday. Joy's moderating. Michelle, Sunny, Raven and Paula are there --along with a bunch of kitties.

And Joy mentioned Doris Roberts passing, so yeah, live.

Gee, I was joking when I said on the first page that Katherine Heigl was going to talk about kitty litter. My, has her career collapsed!

ETA: Never Mind. Apparently, I am wrong, as is the show's CGR thingie, which has her name with an 'o' and when I did a Google, it's spelled with an 'u.'

 

I really wish I knew which was the correct spelling!

I think she has said plenty of derogatory things about Trump, but maybe today she meant that he just acted like more of a candidate with policies than he did before. At least that's what I hope she meant, because if she were turning positive toward that cretin, my growing liking of her would evaporate!

That segment where they mentioned Doris Roberts seemed awkward. Joy brought her up and then someone chimed in about John Legend and Chrissy Teigen and then they mentioned Michael Strahan joining GMA. The way they brought up the other stuff during an in memorium segment seemed strange.

Okay, so TODAY, I finally noticed that the CRYON has Sunny's name spelled with an 'u.'

 

Just, please. IGNORE my previous blathering.

And Good GRIEF. So, by Paula's "question" of "Do you think Joy is contributing to Communism" in her usual, passive/aggressive way, and then claiming innocence, saying it's not HER, but "people" who might think this? I'm SO glad Joy finally came out and called her Stupid for asking such a question.  So, again, does that mean, that everyone who has gone to tour China, Russia, etc., you know, all those other countries that are communist--are THOSE PEOPLE "contributing to Communism?" Just STFU and then some MORE, please, Paula.

 

And why is Paula acting as if Independents not being able to vote in primaries is a new thing? I'm  pretty sure it's been going on for some time. And NOW she brings it up? Why didn't she bring it up, oh, I don't know, when there were a gazillion billion candidates on the right and three? on the left?

 

Oh PLEASE, Sunny. Presidential? That piece of racist, misogynistic, bigoted ARSEHOLE Drumpf? And tell me again, WHY she thinks our military needs to be strengthened or fortified? So MUCH of money went toward that, instead of toward programs and things here at home. So, (Taking a DEEEEEEEP Breath) SHUT UP, Sunny.

 

The kitties! I knew the Kitty people would come for them when they started mewling and howling.

 

And that's all I have right now. Becuase I need to watch the rest of it!

Seriously? Just what kind of schools did Sunny, Michelle, and Raven go to, that they would get pushed, shoved, thrown, when playing Musical Chairs in SCHOOL? And stop whining, Sunny.  When we played it in school, here, in Maryland, yes, we walked reallyfastlikethis, because, you know, school, and we couldn't run. Never in all my years, did I throw, shove, or push anyone, or have that done to me, and I lived in a very rough neighborhood.  

 

That said, I cheered when Michelle shot Raven down and said, oh Yes! She got a pin when she won. And excuse me, but when did Raven go to school? Didn't she grow up on television sets?

 

I had no patience, No fucking patience for that "debate" about cheating.  All it told me, the cynic, is Paula sorta kinda saying that she's been tempted. She's always throwing out the word "vulnerable" and "temptation." Uh, huh.

 

And yuck, now I have to say I agree with that twit, about how we're suddenly living in a society where NO ONE can LOSE, everyone has to win, so there won't be hurt feelings. Guess what? Real life don't work that way.  And frankly, I'm shocked that Sunny feels the way she does, what with her attitude of expecting her kids to get nothing but A's, and how she strives to do the best you can, and blah, blah, blah. What a wimp.

 

Never liked Katherine, don't give any fucks about her life.  And no Paula, I have not always loved her, or wished she was still on my screen. Good lord, but learn to read the audience.  She's not anywhere near the celebrities I love.  

 

Don't care about the interview with Alicia, so, delete!

watching the show today, I kept thinking of all those CATS, right there in front.   Do they know how common cat allergies are?  

If I were an audience member on that show, I would have had to leave or have a terrible asthma attack.

I totally agree!  Who cares that a Hollywood couple had a baby - it speaks more about  Raven's  interests  than anything else.

Also, why does Raven think it's ok to tell someone that they've put on a few pounds? People have scales and mirrors and know their clothes are tight. That is so horribly rude. imo

 

The art thing: Why is it (almost?) always a naked woman on display?

 

The naked restaurant sounds like... go nude if you want ; wear clothes if you want .... to stare at the unclothed people. :-)

Isn't Sunny the mother of the year. She keeps snacks for the kids to eat at all times and doesn't mind if her husband cheats. And the stupid self serving grin she does when she is trying to be cute. My tolerance for her is wearing very thin.

 

I hope she isn't a permanent member in September.


Of course it was Raven that couldn't help herself for being SO EXCITED about the Legend baby.

Very disrespectful to the memory of Doris. Raven thinks we all care about what she cares about. A 30 year old immature former child star who is trying to get attention on this show any way she can!

Raven is developing into quite the mini-Whoopi. On the subject of porn: [dramatically slamming her hands on the table and interrupting and bellowing] "THERE IS NO DANGER TO PORN, PEOPLE! THERE IS NO DANGER!" And then putting her fingers to her face and shaking her head "no" the whole time people spoke when they disagreed with her.

 

Now, forget that right before her "royal pronouncement," Paula had been quoting a study about the mindset that some people develop after viewing porn extensively.

 

I think there's a lot of grey areas. Just like alcohol or drug use, most people can walk away unscathed. But for a certain percentage of the population who indulges, there can be negative repercussions, up to and including addiction.

 

Of course, Raven has such extensive life experiences and is such a student of the human experience (coughcough), she knows better.

 

Even though Whoopi was gone today, it was like she'd never left the table. Pure Whoopi bullshit came out of Raven's mouth today.

Sadly, this means they'll show a clip from his appearance on the show, and we will have to suffer once again through Sherri acting the fool and fawning all over him, making Prince as uncomfortable as can be.

 

For someone who claimed to have been such a big Prince fan, you would think she would have been aware over how shy and uncomfortable Prince has always been on talk shows, He was always withdrawn on talk shows even when there wasn't some obnoxious imbecile hanging off of him.

Eggactly! Blanket statements on any topic OR proclamations of their view being "right" are asinine...like Whoopi.

I don't mind soft porn, but pornography has no limits.... and many layers. .....there's soft, hard, gay, animal, kiddie, and whatever else anyone can think of and do. Not to mention sex slaves and runaways. It's a big business.

Too bad that none of the cohosts know how to speak specifically, or at least mention the many aspects of any topic...Homework, anyone? OR just being able to discuss different sides of a subject rationally would be a pleasant surprise.

OH Jeebus Cripes on A Cracker!  Raven proved just how much of a nimrodic maroon she really is.  Was she educated in a bubble? All I hear from her, when she is ignorant on an issue is "I just don't understand" which I take to mean, I can't believe you guys don't agree with my ignorant and stupid opinions.

 

So now women artists are...artisans? She couldn't just say "female artists" when talking about women who are artists? Or does she think that artists is a word for only MEN?

 

I am shocked that Sunny, who is a former Federal Prosecutor, didn't know that there are all kinds of porn on the internet.

 

I'm not saying anything about the cheating subject, because again, same old, same old.

 

As for the "meanest mommy ever" discussion, well, If I had been the mommy at the ice cream store, I would have said to my child, who took the ice cream and started to walk away without thanking the person--"What do you say?" And see if said child would turn back and thank the person. But that's just me.

 

Interestingly enough, I actually enjoyed Melissa Joan Hart. Though her mouth looked weird. Or maybe it was her teeth. I can't explain it, they just looked...odd...like she had something done to them, but they looked the same, yet different.

 

I love how Joy so seamlessly segues from subject to subject. She's so very good.

 

Did Joy ever say why Whoopi was out this week? I'm just curious.

 

I'll say this. At least CBS, on Tuesday night, right before I watched NCIS (Still fuming over what that asshole show did to my Morrow!) had a beautiful picture still of Doris Roberts, in memorial.

 

Don't know if NBC did the same, since she was also in Remington Steele, which aired on that network in the 80s.

 

Paula's voice is reaching squeaky levels close to Bitsy's these days.

 

ETA: I heard Joy say "Benjamin" when Paula asked if anyone knew who was on the $100 bill. Or maybe it was Sunny. But seriously? What do you think people mean when they way "I want the Benjamins?"  I'm shocked that Joy didn't know who was on the $50. 

 

And is it true? That it's somewhere in the Consitution that Washington can never be removed from the $1 bill?  I know who is on the $1,$5, $10, $20, $50, and $100.  I admit, I can't remember who is on the $2 because I think I've only seen that once. And I don't know if iti was a Hollywood thing or if there are bills for the $500 and $1000.

 

So, and I SWEAR, I didn't Google this, it's Washington, Lincoln, Hamilton, Jackson (for now), Grant (who WAS President also!), and Franklin.

 

But i thought we, that is, the US was doing away with paper money and going back to coins?

 

And NO, Raven, you nimrodic, clueless, waste of space MAROON and IGNORANAMUS, Putting Tubman on the $2 was NOT suggested because Tubman was special. It's because the $2 bill is obscure, most don't know it exists. 

 

And I don't believe her when she says she would WANT TO BE TOLD that she has gained weight.  Just her reaction to Sunny, when Sunny mentioned that Raven had lost weight, and her "I'm so angry at you right now" tells me the gain DOES bother her.  And her using an example of a "loved one" or whoever, saying "let's go for a walk!" is NOT the same thing as telling you that you've gained weight and need to lose some. Good Grief.

To be fair to Raven (which I hate to be because she's an IDIOT!) I think she asked if Sheila knew the status of the rumored memoir and if it would ever be published. Or it could be what you said cause like I said - IDIOT!!! And I was crying through most of that segment. RIP Prince.
