At this point does it seem as if Lisar is majorly sucking up to Erika?  I feel like Lisar is trying to put wedges in between any friendships Erika is trying to forge with the exception of Eileen.  I just thought it so odd, that Lisar was fighting so hard for Erika and Yolanda's missed party.  What happened between screaming at Lisar across the table trying to get her to spill and dinner at Erika's?  Does Lisar not realize when Yolanda turns to her and says she is not trust worthy, Erika is taking it in and perhaps it is not a good idea to challenge Yolanda's decisions about what events she will attend.  Or is this more of Eileen's expert guidance?

LisaV said Kathryn's house was nice, not Eileens.

Was LisaV ever at Eileen's house? She was not at the poker party and I don't think she was at that reading either but I can't be sure of that (brain fog bad tonight LOL). I can see LisaV saying that though because it would be the polite thing to say even if it isn't your personal style.

There is no such thing as 'chronic' Lyme.  Yes she has been sick with something but for how long is debatable.

There are links in her thread worth reading.  Way too much to get into here.

ETA: David Foster is not the asshole.

I'm going to weigh in on this because my mom is visiting and she telling me that my uncle has Lyme which he contracted 10 years ago.  He goes to a clinic in his town that treats only Lyme and the disease is still in his blood and he still has symptoms.  Just recently his doctor (a real MD) put him back on antibiotics which helped with his symptoms which include dizzyness, tremors in his hands and fatique.  The antibiotics help.  I don't know what the definition of Chronic Lyme is but there is such a thing as Lyme that doesn't go away and causes continuous problems for people.  It really is a thing.  I don't always agree with the way Yolanda handles herself but I do think she has Lyme and it's causing her problems.

He would be considered to have "Post-Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome", the CDC does not recognize "Chronic LD" at all. Here is a link to help explain it....

ETA, I hope your Uncle recovers, prayers to you and your family.

Just as WW posted, he is considered to have PTLD.  There is no proof of a continuing Lyme infection but rather that Lyme can do permanent damage or damage that can take a long time to recover from.  There is no test that confirms that Lyme is still in his blood.  There is only a test that can confirm that the antibodies are still in his blood or PCR testing that detects for the presence of infectious agents but it does not distinguish between living and dead organisms. There have also been numerous clinical trials that show that long term antibiotic treatment has no better outcome than the present protocol.

My heart goes out to your uncle and I wish him the best.

I think this show took a dive when they brought the two soap actresses on.  Seems like they are meant to keep bringing up things to the other ladies so they'll argue.  I don't watch this for the bickering.  I like house porn, food porn, party porn, dress porn, trip porn, etc.  I feel like we're getting ripped off by making the show all about the bickering.  Who cares?!  What, are they in middle school?!  Give us more time seeing their homes, let us go along on a shopping trip, let us jog along with you as you run down the streets or by the ocean.  Make this a show about the LIVES of the women of Beverly Hills--- not some soap opera queen interrupting what could be a party with a leading question that starts all the bickering again.  Sigh......  And, how in heavens name does Lisa Rinna move that upper lip all day long?  You rarely see more than the bottom part of her two front teeth, it all looks so long, thick and heavy.  She's just been brought on this show to 'act' and I'm tired of it.  There!

With Eileen's (lack of) communication skills, is it surprising she and Vince always bicker? Not cute, joking bickering. Bickering where you mean what you say but say it that way so if accused of being mean can say "But I was just joking." I do agree that Eileen usually looks better than Lisa VP but in a recent pic (Realitytea?) she looks hideous with a striped jumpsuit, yellow pumps, and a very hard look. As for LVP, I equate her clog sandals to YoYo's white pants. Out of that entire, huge, drool worthy closet she has to have more than 1 pair of casual shoes to wear.

As over the top as Yolanda can be, I'm sure the years have been no picnic for her either. Having a chronic illness shatters life as you know it. While she bores me on the show, my heart hurts for her that David decides she is no longer a worthy partner, and it's been oh so hard on him....PLEASE! He's an asshole.

You do know your declaration of David makes Taylor's Season 3 comments about David . . . .correct.  :-)

David has a massive ego and Yolanda married him and his ego.  I am thinking we are going to hear from Yolanda she decided to let him go rather than tie him down.  Everything about the divorce was so strategic by Yolanda-announcing the day of the Season 6 premier.  Yolanda guaranteed herself top billing.  I would think she would have announced prior to Thanksgiving when she wasn't having Thanksgiving with David-but on no she waited for optimum story placement.

Waitwaitwaitwaitwaaaaaaaaait. WHAT?? I absolutely thought LVP was in her mid 60s and Eileen in her late 40s/early 50s. How the hell is Eileen older? That is completely shocking.

1 year older, not really a big difference in years more experience I think.

They are just different and that's okay, it seems to me that it is Eileen that had the expectations of friendship and Lisa is just doing what she does, living her busy and very full life, why these women seem to constantly attempt to either curry favour and appear to want something from her whether it be a closer relationship or in most cases some form of apology for their own insecurities which they of course project onto Lisa and her disputably manipulative tactics whilst absolving themselves of any responsibility for their own actions and reactions and their own hurt feelings.

Prime example Eileen cheated and everyone knows it and nobody cares and Lisa didn't censor herself and now Eileen feels attacked when it is her own opinion of herself that she really has a problem with. elsewise she would just "Shake it off".

I digress about the age thing, Lisa does look her years and she looks damn good for them, she is a beautiful women, As is Eileen, who in my humble opinion though only a mere year older in actuality she does seem to have more of a youthful air about her, she looks amazing for any age,

I don't think Lisa cares about who looks younger I think she just has a way about her that Eileen really just as Kyle quite aptly said "doesn't get".

We brits are different in our humour much more "Stiff upper lip" and  "take it on the chin" we don't get all put out about throwaway comments that can only bother you if you allow them to, and we don't beat a dead horse ala insisting that an apology be more "Genuine" that's like calling the apologiser a liar. rather you just refuse to accept said non apology and move the fuck on.

I like Eileen but I have a problem with hypocrisy and projecting your issues onto others, by accusing Lisa V of manipulating LisaR whist doing so herself she looks like an obtuse dolt with a severe lack of self awareness.

I guess humour really is a personal thing as well as a cultural thing.

I am proud of the British SOH and sometimes really don't get American comedy but I am not stating that one is better than the other, just different.

It is true though that the difference is notable.

I also think David is an asshole, but then again all the rules Yolanda has concerning what a friend is makes her an asshole too, in my opinion. She expects so much from her co-workers in terms of whether they are worthy enough to be her friend that I can only imagine the kinds of things she expects from her spouse that we haven't seen. So that along with his expectations of what a spouse is supposed to be make for a hard life for both of them.

Seems like they both need someone who has no other life except them and their needs. Two people like that can't stay happy together for very long.

I don't know, to me it seemed like it might be Lisar trying to show Erika that Yolanda isn't as good a friend to her as she thinks she is and maybe she should think about defending her so much all in retaliation for getting yelled at.

Maybe. Probably. But I don't think that was the case with the Portia remark at all.

You should! Being grossed out by meat will only make it easier. I didn't eat much anyway so I had no problem; I just quit one day. It was the next step that took some effort, not just in a will-power sense--which was tough because my favorite food in the world is, or was, cheese!--but in a bewildering "there's a whole lot to figure out and adjust" sense (especially for a very basic almost non-cook as well as someone whose office is not near a lot of vegan-friendly lunch options). Stuff I'd never thought about now had to be consciously remembered. That was definitely a series of steps (and missteps) but, like so much other shit, it becomes routine soon enough.

I don't call myself a vegan because I sometimes succumb to the devil that is cheese. :)

I do eat a strict vegetarian diet and try to eat vegan most of the time. Some of the most interesting things I have cooked is vegetarian /vegan food. It's fun to experiment with different foods and spices.

Anyone trying to change your diet towards veg/vegan, start out by doing it a few days a week. It really isn't that hard. If you slip, so what, just try again the next meal/day.

If the protest did anything, it certainly started an interesting conversation on this board.

Why can't they bring on Linda Thompson ? Remember Linda's ocean talk during the Brandi/ Taylor throw drown? That was gold Jerry, gold! Hell I'd even take Shiva at this point.

Every time Joyce took her top off in the opening credits and revealed her distractingly bad fake tits, if Linda were cast, every time I'd see her face it would be a distraction like Yoyce's boobs. Elvis complained about her nip/tuck addiction, and he died nearly 40 years ago!

"Cute". That's what Yolanda called Camille's house. I can't.

You know the movie Princess Bride "That word does not mean what you think it means?" Yo also referred to Andrea Bocelli as cute, so in my mind, she really equates "cute" with "fabulous!!!!!"

In defense of the gala... a lot of people with chronic neurological disease, Lyme, CRPS,MD etc often think a "celebrity" will bring more attention and money to research.  By holding this Gala, maybe they can bring more pledges for $ or money into play and bring the syndrome/disease to light.  If it was just you or I speaking how much money do you think we would raise?

Suffering from crps for almost 18 years and having lost a couple of friends to suicide that had this gives you a different outlook on the situation.

There are no telethons for Lyme and others.  There are no people going door to door to raise money.  People don't even believe you have it and think it's all in your head.  They don't even acknowledge the pain you go through on a daily basis or understand why you can't go do things.  You can quickly go broke just trying to get traditional treatment and with the new drug laws people are being denied the pain killers that give relief.

I have said before I don't know if Yo has it or not.  Her behavior makes me care less.  It is her choice to go for the quack treatments.  Her treatment of others is very poor and if it continues she will lose friends quickly.

Edited because my crps brain is wackadoodle today

Sorry to hear of your suffering and I hope there is some relief for you in the near future.

I wrote what I thought of this particular Gala on Yolanda's thread.  I believe it was made to order for the show, to promote the book being released by Ally Hilfiger.  I wish these same four "honorees" could use the hours invested in this event to make a few phone calls for donation dollars and by-pass free chartered jet rides and $25,000.00 a night hotel suites.   Whenever I hear David Foster and some charity (except his own foundation) I think of hours spent in world class hotels and mooching luxury private jet rides for a few hours at the piano with some talent he produces.  He may not get paid for going but the perks are great.

David may not be getting paid to go but someone else is footing that bill for him and IMO, just mine, I would rather see that money going directly to research or to helping those will whatever illness/problem getting direct benefit from that money and not to the coffers of the "charity" itself. What are the stats for this group, does anyone know? How much of what they raise actually makes it to research teams and to those suffering LD?

With regard to the subject of the ages of LVP and Eileen, it's sad and disappointing to see that I apparently fall into the mud with the tiny minority.  (It is SO disheartening and embarrassing to be wrong)!  LOL  Still, as my parents taught me, "To thine own self be true."

Ever since the beginning of the show, I've felt that LVP was, by far, the eldest of the HWs.  Several things have led me to believe this, not the least of which is LVP's creaky voice.  When Eileen joined the ranks, I was sure that she was a good 10 years younger than LVP.  The way she carries herself, the way she speaks and dresses, and the way she wears her hair all look more youthful to me.  Even her child is so much younger than LVP's children.

Does anyone know of a non-show biz source that gives their ages?  Those Hollywood women are savvy about the ways and means of shaving years off their ages in their bios.  It would make me feel great if I could see something that showed even a year in difference, with LVP the elder of the two!  LVP strikes me as being somewhere in her early 60s, while Eileen seems like she's around 50, give or take a year or two.

I agree completely.  I would imagine the people who make the big bucks get so many requests for money from charities that it would be difficult to pick which one to help.  People seem to feel better if they can attend some function rather than just send money and if that shoe fits....  Plus when it's research is government funded people figure they have paid for it through their taxes.

Thank your for your kind words.  I do OK.  No matter how bad I am on any given day there are people in this world who have a lot worse problems.

I never gave any thought to their ages.  Its very difficult for me to tell with all the lifts. fillers and botox.  If you can't see their neck it's hard to guess. The neck doesn't lie, however, I'm sure they will figure out how to fix that also.   And then we have ladies like Lisa Marie Presley who learned early to not show emotion so she wouldn't have age lines or wrinkles and crinkles.   I much prefer LVP's face and Kyle's than the others because they show lives filled with laughter, pain, and life,  and they actually move.

Eileen is beautiful and looks younger, but it's either from help or great genes..

Are you suggesting they cut LVP open and count the rings?  ;-).  The age verifying comes in pretty early with show biz people.  LVP has been trying as an actress since she was a child. Childhood acting and school graduation date are the death knell for aging down.

A family member of mine met LVP recently, and she looks gorgeous. I saw the pictures.

I saw her a few years ago when I was in LA and went to Villa Blanca (Don't judge me! After years of watching this I had to!). She was absolutely beautiful. When I see her on the show she definitely looks different (still pretty, but older).

My guess is the sources that say LVP was born in 1960 are right on. She always says she's 15/16 years younger than Ken who is 70. That's going to be a tough sell if she decides to lie and add another decade between them. I don't understand the comparison between her and Eileen. One of them has been in showbiz for 30 years and spends all her daylight hours inside a sound stage and the other dropped her acting career to work a normal (albeit lucrative) job and be a mom. LVP looks great for 55 and I would much rather see a few wrinkles and saggy skin than the Botox Barbie that is BG.

It's easier to open her mouth and check her teeth? lvp has two problem areas, Her neck and cheeks. Someone posted a gif where she looked like a frog or some kind of reptile, her neck expanded in a disturbing way, during at a dinner, Her cheeks are just about maxed out with the filler(s) -you can see the way they 'float' on her face.

They have to set up the teams for the reunion and everyone has been too nice so far. They have not brought the crazy and the alliances are not that strong so it will be a bland and boring get together..

Unless they wise up and go after Yolanda big time. Which can't happen because she got dumped by David Foster  so it would be hitting somebody while they are already down. That is why they are indulging in gratuitous pettifoggery.

I can't wait for the Real Housewifes of New York City so we can have some Housewives we can really hate like Bethenny and Carol the Skeletal Princess of the Handlebars.

I suppose one could look at it that way, or take a trip through the looking glass and consider that maybe one persons perception of "Holding a Grudge" in another's eyes might be seen as refusing to put up with bullshit and leaving negative shit and or people where it belongs in the Past/Passed, Lisa just believes them when they show her who they are.

Not saying she is perfect, but cracking jokes at your besties expense albeit in poor taste with at times seemingly petty and pithy disregard is at least a normal kinda fucked up way to behave and as much as people think Lisa is so smug and self satisfied (I admit it she does have a "cat who ate the canary" sort of countenance),

I'll take her very "contented" though not replete air over Yolanda's frankly sanctimonious nigh on pious posturing of her perfectly fucked up and fake life

she is the very definition of a "Hollywood Friend" and a "Hollywood Wife" though now her "Hollywood Marriage" AKA SHAM is over;

one fake delusion down one to go...

The thing that irks me the most about Yolanda is her apparent and severe lack of discernment of her own flaws and her constant condemnation of others characters whilst not being cognizant of her lack of (Coughs) Character!.

IMO it's a matter of style - Eileen has the "California girl" vibe going on with her hair and a lot of her clothes, while Lisa is still channeling Joan Collins/Dynasty/the 1980s.  I'd love to see her get a style makeover- I'm sure it would take 10+ years off of her looks!

I knew it!  I knew Great Pyrenees dogs were secretly Russian spy's and I'm fairly certain Newfoundlands are working for the North Koreans.

Nah, the Newfies are working for the Canadians!

The conspiracy theorist in me believes that Lisa and Ken got the London Evening Standard to delete their 2002 story about them. I remember sharing on TWoP the very link that is in this All Things Real Housewives piece. When you click the link now to get to the London Evening Standard article, you get a "Page not found" message. Hmmm.

In any case, the London Evening Standard article detailed how Lisa and Ken met (in 1982 when Lisa was 21, so before her September birthday, and when Ken was 37) as well as their relocation from London to California to London again. The article mentioned Lisa's attempts to start her acting career, too (hence the title of the piece: http://www.standard.co.uk/arts/music/baywatch-babe-turns-club-queen-6308575.html ["Baywatch Babe Turns Club Queen"]).

Greetings, all!  First-time poster, long-time lurker.  Thanks for entertaining me over the years.  This is going to be VERY long-winded, but I felt the need to explain where I stand with the ladies.  Going forward, I will keep it to episode commentary.  Here goes:

LVP- I thoroughly enjoy her and think she is one of the smartest HWs of all franchises, certainly up there with Bethenny and Carole (although very different personalities.)  I find her interesting, witty, and beautiful.  In spite of this, I absolutely believe she is the master manipulator that everyone claims she is.  And good for her for doing so- makes for great TV!  I also find her to be a narcissist.  While I have read others voicing that theory in the forums, I never realized it until her incident with Eileen.  The fact that she couldn’t just say, “I’m so sorry if I hurt your feelings- that wasn’t my intention” was mind-boggling! She’s very cunning in that she says the right words- “I’m sorry if I asked too many questions or made you uncomfortable,” so that she can always come back and say that she said she was sorry.  It’s the insincere, condescending and exasperated manner in which she says it.  The adage, “It’s not what you say, but how you say it” is very applicable here.  Anywho, being unable to admit any wrong doing is classic narcissist behavior, which sealed the deal for me.  I must also add that she has some of the best one-liners of this show and frequently makes me LLOL.  Love watching her and wonder if the show could continue without her (or Kyle.)  Most likely not.

Kyle- by far my favorite HW to watch on any of the franchises.  She’s beautiful, bubbly, has gorgeous hair, clothes, and a perfect family.  The only time I have disliked her was her behavior towards Brandi in Season 2.  I will chalk some of that up to her crazy/evil sister, though.  I always find her to be entertaining, but sometimes I think she is a bit ditzy.  Although I once read someone’s post saying that she makes good decisions, which is a sign of intelligence.  Her healthy marriage, well-adjusted children, and good business decisions are examples of this.  Perhaps the occasional ditziness is more of a lighthearted personality trait rather than a real lack of intelligence.  I believe she has a strong, confident personality, but appears to be a bit influenced & intimidated by LVP- not that I blame her.  I also think their falling out in past seasons had to do with the fact that they were both the breakout stars/queen bees and there was a bit of competition there.  I believe their friendship is very genuine and that was a bump in the road brought on by fame.

Eileen is my favorite housewife- not necessarily the most interesting to watch, but I find her to be very honest and to be a person of good character and integrity.  I do not find her to be in the wrong WHATSOEVER in her falling out with LVP.  I think if LVP had given a sincere apology for hurting her feelings, it never would’ve been mentioned again.   I also think Eileen is a great friend to Rinna and love how she doesn’t play both sides of the fence regarding Yolanda.  I hope she stays on the show bc it’s refreshing to watch a nice, normal human being.

I enjoy Rinna despite finding her habit of laughing at her own jokes super annoying.  I think it’s forced, and think she’s ALWAYS “on.”  I like her bc she was DEAD ON about Kim Richards, and was the first HW in several seasons with the balls to call her out on her bullshit.  I also think her radar is pretty spot on with Yolanda.  She brings a lot to the show and I hope she remains.

Yolanda- Snooze-a-rama.  Aside from her gorgeous children, I’ve always found her to be a bore.  Even pre-Lyme when she was healthy, I’ve never been interested in her or what she brings to the show, aside from that gorgeous home.  I don’t find her to be a master manipulator as Rinna claims- LVP holds that title.  I always found Yo to be a straight shooter and somewhat above the petty nonsense.  What I do find is that she is a complete Debbie Downer, craves sympathy, and exaggerates a great deal.  Perhaps this is brought on by the loneliness and depression her illness has caused her.  Regardless, the show would be much better without her.  Sorry Yo.

Erika- I LOVE her.  Judging a book by its cover, I didn’t think I would.  I find her to be incredibly bright.  I love how assuredly she speaks- she never falters, uses filler words, or stutters.  I also find LVP to be rather intimidated by her- first time in history, I believe.  It would be interesting to see her in REAL verbal combat with LVP, as she totally shut her down when discussing her friendship with Yo.  I also find that intelligent people (women) don’t feel the need for fluffy acquaintances.  They are often happier with one or two GENUINELY close friendships than a bunch of phony friendships.  I hope she stays on the show and we see more of her.  I think there are many more layers of her personality to be seen.  I even think the music career is kind of cute, if a bit cheesy (no shade, Erika Jayne!)  She strikes me as a Britney Spears type growing up- always singing and dancing.  Kudos to her for continuing with and channeling that passion into something as an adult- many of us lose it.  And I believe most natural performers would do the same as she is if given the connections/advantages to do so.  Get it, gurrrrrrl.

Katherine- Yuck.  Dim, annoying, uninteresting.  She tries way too hard and is abrasive.  Reminds me of a junior highschooler trying to prove how “tough” she is.  Clear sign of insecurity.  Totally uncool what she did to Erika, although it was outrageously two-faced that I can’t help but wonder if there was some producer insistence.  She brings nothing to the show and I hope she is a one season wonder.

Memory is a funny thing to me. Camille did look nice (plus the blown-up lips), but all the calls for her to return are puzzling to me. Post-S1 everyone thought she was a fake, sanitized version of herself who wisely quit the show after her PR apology tour worked.

To me, the woman had an almost bipolar-like pendulum swing of moustache-twirling villian to not-believable-at-all Saint Camille of Donatacci, who claimed her worst swear word was "poopy stink." Yeah... I'd only be fine with her returning if she were S1 Camille, but we all know that's never going to happen.

Thank you! I don't care for Camille. Oh sure, she always looks nice and I like seeing her home and all. And I do feel terrible for what Kelsey put her through. But I remember her very well from her first season...rattling on about her four nannies and so arrogant. THAT is the real Camille, not the sainted put-on persona she projects now. What a fake. I too am sort of  surprised that so many gush about her and want to see her back on the show full time.

I think Lisa V is lovely. I also don't think she looks bad for her age. The problem is she could easily look 10 years younger, and does when she dresses more casually, fusses less with her hair, and wears less makeup. Don't even get me started with her shoes. She cannot walk in them and she looks like an old lady when she tries. She always looks horrible at the reunions to me, so I'm once again prepared for worst. She always does something strange to her face right before, and I cannot remember liking any of her frocks. I would love for her to tone it down and let her natural loveliness just shine.

Middle class propriety would've stopped Lisa from asking an English Eileen those questions in the first place. There was no confusion about cultural issues.

I think the cultural issue Kathryn was referring to had more to do with LVP just not showing the same emotion as Eileen.  Since Eileen can't seem to form a coherent sentence about what she wants for LVP, "not an apology but a conversation".  I think the others believe that LVP, due to her background, is just not dialing into Eileen's pain and embarrassment over the comment.  I also remember LVP, wanting a conversation before the others made the decision to leave the disco hotel and snagged the dream house in the Hamptons.  The oddest thing is these women went into the season having no issues and have just puttered along all season with this tit for tat.  Cleraly, Rinna and Eileen were angry over LVP's handling of the Kim vs. Rinna situation in Amsterdam.  For some effing reason, Eileen believes she needed to be involved in the "resolution" between Kim and Lisar.  The fact that Lisar can't get to the point and circles around (see finale-when she had the opportunity to give Kyle a break) is what Eileen should be focused on-not whether or not LVP manipulated Lisar into going shopping with her Kim and Brandi.

Good work I had tried to find that article after posting it several times.  I think it provides "the history" and the explanation about "deep in the valley" and "near bankruptcy".

That is the problem I have with Eileen. She plops herself in the middle of other people's issues as mediator and tries to force a reconciliation that is so superficial and hollow yet she can't even accomplish that for herself nor move on when it doesn't happen.

While I never bought the love affair angle of Lisa's I'm to the point I wish Lisa VP would say "Accept my apologies or shut the fuck up and move on. I don't care which anymore."

She got into this tiff because once again she butted in on a conversation and didn't like the results. She owes Lisa VP an apology if Eileen brings it up anymore.

It probably literally does pay to ingratiate yourself with Erika.

Well yeah! Free private plane rides, and joining in on primping sessions with her "Pussy Posse."

That is the Camille I want back on the show. She had no self awareness at all and truly thought that she was going to "win" at being the ultimate BH housewife. That is reality tv gold right there. Her recent Twitter rant about Kelsey - while in bad taste - was totally the Camille that I believe sobered Kelsey up and got his money right through real estate.

Yes, she will always have the "kinder, gentler" angle working, but she can't help herself. More importantly, looking back on season 1 Camille, she was the kind of villain this show needs. Or, and this is what I think is what would really happen if she came back, she would be the one with no fucks to give when it came to setting the record straight. One thing I really liked about season 2 Camille was that she never let any of the other women dictate her story.

When Taylor was trying to drag Camille into her mess, Camille called her out on it. When Adrianne tried to get Camille to say that LVP sold stories, Camille said, she had been told the same thing but knew they said it to everyone. When Brandi said that Adrianne was suing her, Camille said  it never happened, and she did it all over Twitter.

That is the Camille I would love to see come back. Because you know she will inundate us with real estate porn, and still *TRY* to stay humble, but she won't be able to hide her true self. And, considering what we have seen in the 5 seasons since Camille's debut, that would be a welcome change.

I think that might be the soft focus filter they use on the show. It's supposed to target wrinkles and pores but sometimes makes the ladies look ghostly and foreign. I think that may also be what affected Kathryn's totally unrecognizable look in the talking head with the polished hair and blue top.

I would rather see that money going directly to research or to helping those will whatever illness/problem getting direct benefit from that money and not to the coffers of the "charity" itself.

I heartily agree, zoeysmom.  A few years ago, there was a good article about stars starting their own "foundations," which benefitted the stars themselves!  Nice work if you can get it.

Camille says "A lot of the money is going to the foundation."

ALL of the friggin money should be going to charity. The jewelry should be donated, money going to the cause.

As much as I would like to think that is possible-why should the jewelers be bearing the burden?  If they kick 25% of retail back in that is generous.  An $8,500.00 necklace becomes a $2250 donation.  That is generous.  It is the nonsense of "donating" $30,000.00 chartered jets and $25,000.00 one night suites to talent and honorees is offensive.  It is just a thing with me.  Take a piece of art-all the artist really had in it is the cost of canvas, paint and framing.  The fact it can sell for $5,000.00 is pretty much pure profit to the charity.  The artist has already taken the deduction for the cost of goods.
