They showed a clip of someone at a Trump rally shouting shoot immigrants. Trump replies, "Only in the Panhandle" . Joe said that was wrong.

Joe warned Trump that the clips of him saying racist things would be played back during the election.

I don't know what type of monitor or teleprompter they have at the bunker. However, Mika is having much more difficulty at reading the script over the past few weeks.

I wonder if the show will get one of Mika's assistants to read the script?. They could just have a camera on Mika so she could just react with her wide array of verbal tics, sighs, grunts, eye rolls etc to what was written on the monitor.

Joe, the only reason Trump liked hip hop stars & civil rights leaders is that hip hop songs & videos portrayed him as someone to aspire to being like.  He was featured in a lot of videos because of the women, expensive liquor, limos, etc.  He was courting the black community because they thought he was a bad ass. 

Then just like everyone else, they found out what he really is.

I didn't watch a lot of the show today but from what I saw she was exceptionally messy today.  There was one point that I honestly thought Joe was going to have to lean over and start reading the prompter for her.

Tom want a new center right party.

Joe went on a rant. Joe said he was  true conservative who was defending their principles when many people were in diapers.

Joe bragged about passing entitlement reform.

Joe mocked Trump for giving money to Pelosi & Clinton.

Joe is opposed to a socialist farm bill to offset the tariffs because it supports big farms.

Joe started bragging about reading Milton Friedman, Captain Kirk, Hyatt, . They don't know true conservatives.

Mika started cooing at Joe after Joe's rant.

Mika said she has never seen any US party become so subservient to a leader.

Mika wants the GOP to fight Trump.

I read Milton Friedman, too.  He was a regular columnist for Newsweek, and then he was required reading in one of my college economics classes, around 1975.  The two things I remember about him were his proposal for the negative income tax, which was considered wacky at the time, and his propagation of Heinlein's TNSTAAFL (there's no such thing as a free lunch).

If I watched MJ every day, I would be pissed that they just replay parts of the first hour in the third hour, with no indication that it's repeated.  When they did it today, I just shut it off.  If you don't have enough material or don't care enough to cover three hours, stop after two and give the hour to someone else.

I had it on for a few minutes at one point Willie was speaking to Eugene and I even wondered if Joe was on today. Maybe he had to get Mika's cake out of the oven and ran upstairs.

Joe used to stay at Mar A Largo before 2017. There was an article about him staying there with his kids after his second divorce. Don Trump Jr criticized Mika & Joe this year for always asking for  free accomodations .

Don Jr did not realize the value of having a journalist of Joe's caliber staying at the hotel.

The show used to be 3 hours live when they discussed topic other than Trump.

I believe that the show started repeating the 6 am- 6:30 am segment at 8 am when Mika & Joe started sharing a dressing room. Joe asked the network for a 30 minute break so he could return phone calls from important world leaders who wanted his opinion on issues.

It was fun because sometimes, Mika & Joe would come back live at 8:30 wearing different clothes. Mika would lose the scarf after some segments.

This is the correct pronunciation if the conversation is being conducted in Spanish.

You also might hear it when someone whose native language is Spanish is participating in a conversation being conducted in English.

Since neither of those situations apply to Mica - it's just another example of her pronouncing words (or names) the way she has decided they should be pronounced. (FFS, a person has the right to have their name pronounced correctly).

She is a spineless, brainless, gutless wonder.

Mika's inability to read the teleprompter aloud about the wonderful mayor of Chicago's response to Ivanka's vile, rancid Tweet may have broken me.
This show is pure garbage.  Mika doesn't want to be at work.  She doesn't want to read.  She doesn't want to prepare.  She doesn't want to emote.  She's in a totally different location and so when a panelist says something thoughtful or eloquent, her awkward reply from another set derails the conversation and energy.  It's terrible.  I cannot believe MSNBC lets this happen.

Early in the show she read off the teleprompter, "... later in the show joiningg... us? will be former senator..."   She didn't know how to read "us."  Us.

Once again Joe claimed Trump was a Democrat before he was a Republican, I guess implying he is really a Democrat.  I did some research and ended up reading a Wikipedia article that discussed Trump's political positions. If accurate, Trump first registered as a Republican in 1987 then changed to NY's Independence Party. He next registered as a Democrat, returned to the Republican party, changed that to no party affiliation, and came back to the Republican party in 2012.  Opportunist may be the best description.

Two random observations from watching a bit of the show this a.m.:

• I like Yamiche Alcindor, but she needs to take a breath every once in a while. I'm a fast talker myself, but she exhausts me!
   
• I didn't understand that bit of hazing of Robert Costa. Did Joe say that getting the Washington Week gig causes a person to lose weight and stop a receding hairline? That seemed rude. I couldn't tell whether Costa thought it was funny or was his usual stoic self.

I am a native Texan and I can tell you that no one calls it El Pah-so unless they are speaking Spanish.  There are many place names in Texas that are of Spanish origin (San Antonio, San Jacinto, Laredo, San Angelo), and they are not pronounced with a Spanish accent in the everyday English speaking vernacular.  People who actually live in Texas would laugh their asses off at Mika's pronunciation.

Mika & Joe invited Joaquin Castro to defend his tweet publicizing the names of Trump donors. Joe said donor information used to be in the Pensacola newspapers.

Joe said that people couldn't believe how many people donated to Joe's campaign. There were special editions.

Joaquin said the donors should realize that they are respected people that shouldn't support Trump's hate speech.

Willie was worried about the donors being harassed . Willie said there were 11 retired people on the list. He doesn't want them to be harassed.

Joe said Trump should tell his supporters to stop chanting negative slurs about hispanics.

So Joe is upset that the Democrats are turning the tables and using old Republican tactics on their opponents?  Did he have any troubles when the Republicans blasted out donor information on dozens of FBI agents that were just quietly doing their jobs to make their work seem partisan?  As it's already been noted in an earlier post, this is all publically available information.  Joaquin just cut out the middle man.

I literally watched about two minutes today and happened to catch when a guest was done speaking and they tossed it to Mika who stared into the camera like a deer in the headlights until I assumed the EP screamed into her ear what to do next.  Yikes.

I recall Joe getting suspended from MSNBC for a few days about 10 years ago when he got caught donating to a friend's re election campaign. The network had a policy of not allowing on air personalities to contribute to campaigns. Mika was furious & had to do the show on her own during Joe's suspension. Joe demanded that he should be exempt from the network rules because the recipient was a personal friend of Joe's.  The network also discovered that Keith Olbermann gave money to a political campaign & he was suspended.

In fairness to Joe, I do think Sandy Hook was a turning point for him. He was visibly emotional and shaken about what happened there.

Yes, Joe has said several times that he changed his mind on gun control after Sandy Hook. This is understandable since his younger children were going to school in Connecticut at the time, so it probably hit close to home for him.

You are correct here too. Joe thought that it was fine to disclose the names of the donors since it it is already public information. Willie was concerned about the donors privacy, and thought they may be harassed.
