This show...sigh. Just dropping a golden gun and a session at the gun range in out of nowhere, so subtle!  And of course, $Bill has a gold plated hand gun.  lol  (Not really though, super bad timing with this story line.)

Were the hair and wardrobe people mad at Rena Sofer yesterday? Still, she looked gorgeous in spite of it all.  And poor Katie, she must really love Wyatt to sign up for the worst MIL ever. (Even when Quinn is being good there's an underlying tension/potential crazy there.)

There’s no way Sally shot $Bill.   I bet the golden gun is a cap gun or a starter’s pistol.

Or foil covered chocolate!

Both of those things were my takeaway from that show as well.

Really bad timing with the whole gun thing & poor Rena Sofer's makeup& outfit. Seriously though, you can't make that woman look bad IMO.( Nice ring Katie...loved the box even had it's own little spotlight! lol)

And the gun thing? I thought I read somewhere that

Spoiler

Don Diamont is going to be on an Italian version of Dancing with the Stars so he might quite possibly be MIA from the show for awhile.

Sadly ol' $Bill has been practically asking to get his a$$ shot. They've made him even more hateful than I thought they could...just go ahead & put him with Stuffy so I can skip  it all, m'kay writers. Oh and while you're at it, free Liam from the ToD!! Thx.

Oh yeah, the part where Bill picked up his photo (which he always has next to him which is a nice touch) to point out to Sally what "talent" looked like...cracked me up. Damn, DD can be so funny. I'm really sorry they've made him so vile. How do they always seem to find a way to suck the fun out of things?

If that wasn't a dream sequence, it would seem $Bill's going to be out of commission for a while since the show took pains to let us know that Sally is a dead shot. So who's going to be running SP? Wyatt? Katie? Would Liam get talked into returning in his father's absence?

I agree.  RS is stunning but the braids and the blouse just didn't get it.  I caught an old ep of Seinfeld last week and she was in it.  Looking gorgeous as always.

They put poor Sally in braids, too.  Not a good look but that striped jacket she was wearing....I.want. it....

DD is cracking me up.  You can see he loves playing this side of $Bill instead of mooning over Brooke.  I still wish she had ended up with him.  Much more chemistry than Bridge (who bore the shit out of me).

Of course this is B&B where we just wait for the next partner swap.

Guess that explains Ingo’s hire.

Or maybe Ingo's hire is why WH ended up in this condition. Chicken/egg? (I am kidding. That is not something I want to read about anyone. I did enjoy WH on this show)

Was this Windsor H the original Thorne?  I've only seen him in clips.

He is not the original Thorne but I believe he played Thorne longer than any other actor did. He also played Thorne while Brooke/Thorne was a thing.

OMG that photo of Bill sitting right there behind him kills me every time. It's so ridiculous for him to have a photo like that ... ridiculous and very Bill-like. However as much as I hate that photo, I would much prefer someone kill Skye already. I am completely over Bill manhandling that model ... building!

Yeah, This is so sad...WH was reportedly very shocked by the recast. Supposedly BB had asked him to be in some fan event shortly before the recast. I always liked the actor. Hope he can get some help. Hate to hear this stuff.

I posted this in the media thread, but I remember that a few years ago, WH was involved in a situation that involved alcohol in public but I don't remember the details. It was around the time he was working on some indie movie that I believe also starred Lorenzo Lamas.

My guess is that WH had something going on for a period of time and had this recent incident had nothing (directly) to do with IR being hired. Although I am sure it was a slap in the face.

Poor guy. I hope he gets help.

Winsor Harmon was Thorne #3, but he has played Thorne the longest.

Clayton Norcross was Original Thorne, who (IMO) was the typical preppy and pretty Beverly Hills blond rich guy.

Jeff Trachta was Thorne #2.  He was the Thorne that was singing with Macy.    I suppose it's been forgotten that Thorne used to sing & record albums & have concerts with Macy and stuff.  LOL

I wasn’t watching when WH was onscreen alot.  I did see his IG some time ago and thought it was super creepy.  I’d like IR better without the porn stache, but because I don’t have an historical frame of reference for Thorne (and never saw IR on whatever other show he was on), I was willing to give him a shot.

I liked WH as Thorne but thought he was never really given a chance to be that character. His daughter was murdered by Slutty but he came home for a day or two to “grieve” for her and was gone again like a flash. I wondered several times why they didn’t give him more of a role in the family and on the show but perhaps they recognized his problems with alcohol? This just makes me sad for him and his family. I do hope he’ll seek the help he needs and turn his life around for good.

It hurts to defend Steffy but she killed Aly in self-defense - which isn't  murder.  It was just the hiding it that made her look guilty of murder.  I didn't like Ivy's actions (blackmail) in that storyline either. Awful all around...

I was beginning to think I was the only one who remembers it like that. Slattern that Steffy is, Aly was grade A nutz and needed lithium, stat.

That said, it was a complete waste of an interesting character and a talented actress. And for what? For more Steam hijinks and to resurrect the Spectras a year and a half later?

True, but she didn't need to bash her in the head with a tire iron.

At 1st I thought Bill getting shot was a dream sequence, but now I think this will end up being the beginning of his redemption.  I can almost hear Liam now saying to a comatose Bill "Oh dad, how could I have been so awful to you, if you come out of this I'll never argue with you again..."  Yuck.

They missed out on some strong story beats where it could be revealed that Thorne shot Ridge in the head and we have these parallels of how Ridge had to forgive Thorne and Steffy having to learn to forgive Aly even as she worries that her issues with her and Taylor are never quite settled. Steffy always wary and with one eye open and Aly trying to be better and not give in to the darkness inside.

Aly could've had storyline with Pam where she tries to be a mentor/aid in living with mental illness; Aly can worry she's broken and unlovable and alternately worry that Oliver will leave her vs. wanting him 'to have better'. In rolls Deacon Sharpe, Jr. who is a little broken too and who Aly is drawn to because she doesn't have to be 'perfect' and who she initially doesn't feel like she has to protect (unlike Oliver). Everyone is worried that Lil' Deacon is the worst kind of catalyst for Aly except that he isn't.

Ingo's Thorne finally getting to play dad to his young daughter who is his LIFE and fighting Lil' D supporters Rick (and Deacon and Amber) tooth and nail over his involvement with Aly? Rick torn between supporting Lil'D and protecting his niece who he owes for treating like shit when she was in need of help and support?

Instead we've got Bridge, Hope vs Steffy round 3, Bill spinning in his chair, and NO young adult/teen scene really.

That's where I am also, CountryGirl.

It's no accident that B&B fell to DEAD LAST in the all-important demos (women viewers in the 18 - 49 age range) for the week of February 5-9.  The lowest-rated show that week?  The GarBridge 666 nuptials, which garnered a rating of 2.50.  Small wonder since it was the day that Brooke and her ogre exchanged vows, spouting bullshit that no one in that room should have believed.  It's a wonder none of the guests wore hip boots to wade through all that shit.

No one should be surprised by this pitiful turn of events.  It could have been predicted ever since the Summer of Sheila, which morphed into the Fall of Foolery, which then became Fauxdilocks and the 3 Spencers, and then ultimately the Stephanie Forrester, Jr. Praise & Worship Show, costarring Sludge Forrester.

This show is now nothing more than a slapdash hot mess of chemistry-challenged couples, trite triangles of doom, stunt casting, plot-driven drivel and the propping of some of the most unappealing and trifling characters on daytime television.  The decision to reunite GarBridge was a disastrous one, as was the decision to unceremoniously break up Brill.  We live in an age where women are speaking out against sexual predators.  One of the themes from the movie, Black Panther, is female empowerment (no spoilers).  However, one wouldn't know that watching this mess.

Remember when Brooke invented things and was an innovator, who increased Forrester Creations' bottom line?  Now, the character's primary goal is fulfilling her not-so-new husband's vile sexual fantasies.  Don't even get me started on the fact that that creep was even an option for her to begin with.  How does Brooke go from emphatically stating to Thorne that she and the ogre were NOT together again, to turning around and marrying the jackass anyway and acting like he was the great love of her life?

The attempt to regurgitate Swill has also been a ratings disaster.  With the exception of SC's wonderful performances, what was the point if Liam's tiny little balls go back into hiding again?  Not to mention everyone acting as if Fauxdilocks boning her FIL was a "mistake" that should be instantly forgiven.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again.  Anytime the writers have to rewrite 5 years of history and to recycle another pairing's dialogue and motivations to sell this trash called Swill, then they've already lost half the battle.  This is one of those instances where certain actors, actresses and their stans should be very careful about what they ask for.  Here's a novel approach.  Why not follow Susan Flannery's strict rule, i.e. she made it clear in an interview years ago that it was not her job to dictate storyline direction; her job is to act what the writers put in front of her.  The only time she reportedly expressed her displeasure with a storyline was when her character facilitated Brooke's rape.  Meanwhile, the writers want to elevate Fauxdilocks as a future leading lady.  It's not working, as JMW is mediocre and basic at best, and Fauxdilocks diminishes every man around her and her elevation has come at the expense of several other characters.  Nor, does it help that it's difficult to root for a character who has been a conniving bully and stank ho, who managed to complete the trifecta of sleeping with Spencer men in the space of a year.  And, she was praised while doing it!  The Spectra gang 2.0--what a waste.  This could have been handled so much better by having Clarke (remember him?) and CJ meticulously usher the newer characters in.  I still resent it that Original Recipe Sally's iconic photograph was destroyed in that stupid fire.  Evidently, the writers don't need Sally 2.0 anymore now they have Hope back on canvas to be a martyr to Steffy's wonderfulness, to moon over what could have been with Liam and to be bullied by her stepfather.

Worst of all, was the decision to publicly insult WH (who was always available to reprise his role) by bringing in a fan favorite to play Thorne.  It was done not only publicly, but also with a great deal of fanfare.  Now, for those of you are still watching, riddle me this.  Given the promos that accompanied IR's arrival, do you see anything resembling that playing out on your screens right now?  IR excelled at playing a corporate raider on General Hospital and I fully expected to see a tougher Thorne, who would demand his rightful place in the company and make it happen.  Well, it started off well enough but it didn't take the writers long to pull the old bait and switch with fans who thought Thorne was being taken in a different direction.

These disastrous ratings are proof positive that Brad Bell and his team of hacks will find a way to screw up a one-car funeral procession.  It also validates my decision to end my 30-year love affair with B&B.  #JustCan'tDoItNoMore

I haven't been a viewer for as long as many of you but I understand how you are feeling. I have been off and on with this show for many years. I've said it before and I'll say it again when this show is on it's game ... it is on but that never lasts. This show is either great or terrible. It's so odd there is no in between.

Quote

The attempt to regurgitate Swill has also been a ratings disaster.

In my opinion the biggest issue with Swill 2.0 is the writers being too afraid to go there. Make Bill and Steffy a couple that rules the school. But nope they just cannot let go of the attempts to make Steffy the 'heroine.' She isn't, writers, she isn't. Having all the characters act as though sleeping with her father in law was no big and a mistake is insulting to viewers with brains in their heads. FFS having sex with someone isn't a mistake. It's a decision and a choice. Steffy had a choice to make and she made it. How about writing this story as everyone understanding Liam's feelings rather than hers? It makes a lot more sense that way which is why it couldn't happen on this show.

Steffy and Bill could be the reigning 'bad' guys and Sally could have easily slid into that heroine slot. Why go through the trouble of introducing the Spectra's only to get rid of Sally? Just stupid. So instead we apparently heading for another ToD with Liam, Steffy and Hope. The very same ToD that drove me from this show for a loonnggg time.

Quote

I loved IR on GH and to see him here just spinning his wheels is disappointing for sure. Now I didn't want to see Thorne and Ridge physically fighting but I sure did want to see Thorne actually working to show Eric his talent and make a case for more leadership.

I didn't care much for Brooke and Bill and I believe Ridge is the love of Brooke's life (well aside from herself). And I still think this reunion is bull-to-the-shit. Brooke showed some real growth dumping Ridge when she found out about Quinn and a few months later she's marrying him? This show. But since I dislike both Brooke and Ridge, they can stay together so I can ff easier.

Katie and Wyatt are the only thing keeping me here. We'll see how long that lasts.

Katie and Wyatt! YESSS!!!

And I hope that Bill does care, and I hope that he is pissed beyond words.

Shut it Ridge and listen the hell up:

Did Bill tell Justin that Liam had had enough time to find forgiveness?

I don’t believe Sally shot Bill; I think she shot Skye and Bill’s “OH!” was his surprise, distress, and probably him soiling his pants. Even so, I couldn’t resist:

Sally came to see Bill at Spencer Publications

It had been weeks with no communication

So Sally went to see Bill about building Spectra anew

Bill Spencer got mad and he said no

And told Sally she had to go

Saying that was Liam’s gig and he is gone

Now Bill is finding it hard to speak

Calling Sally a clown and a freak

Telling her she is a no talent joke

Well Sally got mad and she saw red

Shirley said girlie don’t you lose your head

Cause you’re a Spectra and we always win

That’s the night that the lights went out in Bill’s office

That’s the night that Sally shot an ignorant man

Don’t trust your future to no egomaniac liar

Cause Bill might just set your shit on fire

Sally got offended and she let loose

Telling Bill she would no longer take his abuse

Saying you can’t make a promise and renege

Sally went on to tell Bill about himself

And that’s when she spied the gold gun on the shelf

Thoughts of Dead Dollar Bill dancing in her head

She waited for Bill to turn his back

She grabbed the gun and loaded it real quick

Took her dead shot aim and pulled the trigger

Well Bill was shocked and he said “OH!”

While Sally smiled and did a dosey-doe

Justin heard the shot and he came runnin’

Cause he knew it was Bill for which Sally was gunnin’

Well the judge said guilty cause he had been bought off by Bill

More than that he was a big fan of Swill

And wanted to help Bill get his heaux

That’s the night that the lights went out in Bill’s office

That’s the night that Sally shot an ignorant man

Don’t trust your future to no egomaniac liar

Cause Bill might just set your shit on fire

I am not done yet, although I watch with one foot out of the door. They have destroyed Brooke by turning her into a grade A Stepford Wife to the most undeserving of all men.

I am truly livid though, with this terrible waste of CH. Why didn’t they bring Thorne back to get involved with the Spectra’s and his Ally line? They could have mined that for story for years. But fuck no; it is so much more riveting to watch Hope pine and moon for Liam, who will go back to his slutty wife “for the baby’s sake”, and will also be mooning and pining for Hope.

Oh, and of course, the propping of the heaux.

I’m with Hypnotoad, the only thing keeping me tuned in is Katie and Wyatt. And of course now to see if Sally’s aim is as good as Shirley said.

Wasn't Steffy billed as the Bad Girl during ToD 1.0? I don't see why they're afraid of this, either. Even before Liam was in the picture, Steffy had attempted to get between no fewer than THREE marriages, and she was barely old enough to drink. And Bill...he's Bill.

Well let's face it, every character on this show is a hypocrite! And sure if we were talking real life this pairing might be a bit more odd. On this show? It really is no biggie! So Bill find Wyatt and Katie disgusting ... 2 single people who didn't cheat on anyone when they got together. But Bill sleeping with Steffy is true love. Bill cheating on Katie with her sister was true love. Bill is such an asshat. I cannot wait for him to be shot and in a coma (no spoilers just speculation from a long time soap watcher given how many people are pissed at Bill right now) so I don't have to listen to him for a while.

Exactly this. Sure Stephanie didn't pay for long but she did pay for most of her evil deeds for a while. As did Adam on All My Children and countless other more gray characters back in the day. Now Steffy is treated like she put a decimal point in the wrong place on a report rather than she slept with her father in law! It's just ridiculous.

So, Sky is made of Vibranium?

Not to defend Steffy but one of the last people she should be defending herself to is Hope. And Hope shouldn't be expecting Steffy to help her keep her conscience in check. I don't get anything about their relationship at all. It's mutually toxic, IMO.

First off, if B&B wardrobe would dress IR better I might not be thinking WTF? All the time. Turtle necks? Three piece suits? Seriously? Secondly, IR became was popular on GH because he played a lovable rascal. So, far he’s been on the show a few moths and pinning after woman who aren’t even into him such Brooke & Katie. Now, that those 2 storylines were a bust what next? Is this what BB had planned when recasting the part of Thorne with a name actor? I don’t think so. Because if I remember correctly IR was orignally cast in the short term character of Mateo. That alone will telling you that BB & casting don’t know what the hell they're doing. I like IR and I hope he only signed a short term contract so he get the hell away from this dreck. I wanted to cast him as the new Magnum but he’s tied up with this crap. I can’t everything folks. I have a life you know. LOL!!!!!  Rant over.

And even besides that, Stephanie owned most of her shit. Like when her fake heart attack came out and the family was rightfully livid, she didn't  immediately beg for forgiveness while still blaming Brooke for her stunt. She was confused by why  anyone could defend Brooke, especially Bridget...but even when one disagreed with Stephanie, at least I could understand why she did the shit she did, and the show didn't paint her as some poor put-upon heroine to do that.

I don't know why Steffy does half the shit she has and even the one time I felt she was anywhere near justified in her reaction, I still wished Aly had gotten the jump on her ass. But the true litmus test has been seeing people here actively being Team Hope when AN took over the role; In eight years and two boards, I remember exactly one poster who had any active interest and investment beyond rooting against Steffy.*

But now? Well, it's more a "Sure, why not let Steffy get the guy she wanted anyway and spare us the misery of a triangle yet again," but I've seen more post of people considering a Lope reunion than six months ago, and that's because Steffy sucks that hard and Steam's epic love is little more than a relationship of convenience and always was.

*And I only distinctly remember that person because they seemed genuinely surprised when Hope and Wyatt got married in Paris, despite most of us telling her these bait and switch tactics were common for B&B. That poster vanished without a trace after that happened.

Liam having said to Steffy that he could kill Bill for what he did? Check.

We've got a full list of suspects.  And Bill actually uttered the words 'Over my dead body'

Oh, yeah. The challenge will be accepted. Bill's gonna take a bullet or Skye bashing to the head soon.

Hope DD says 'Hey, can I play it like Eric Braeden did all those years ago on Y&R when he had HIS who shot me storyline and Justin comes into my office, turns my chair around and I go spilling out onto the floor? Is that too much?'

Still hope they allow Bill a coma dream where they cut in some of DD's Dancing With the Stars footage.

Damn it, this is how they'll get Liam to forgive his ass.

I thought yesterday's episode was absolutely hilarious!  It was completely OTT glorious soapiness.  I almost felt that the actors were just resigned to the ridiculous lines and played them to the hilt (well, except for Stuffy and Nope.) The melodramatic Watie reveal was too much and I thought smoke was going to billow out of Bill's ears as his head slowly exploded. It looked like DD could barely keep his laughter in check.

The Stuffy/Nope exchange was difficult to watch. I think AN has been either going to the same Botox technician as JMW or JMW's horrendous acting has rubbed off in a short period of time. I figured out today that what I don't like about AN is that she is just about as robotic and expressionless as JMW. Whereas JMW is very harsh and staccato in her delivery, AN is so s-l-o-w and deliberate. Painstaking.

Then we have this to look forward to:

Plus, it looks like KB got the memo about braids:

Bill, laying prone on top of Skye, in a fit of grief and misery because Sally shot her made my day complete.

Then picking her up and gently handing the very cheap and tacky prototype to Justin? Asking Justin to get her to the hospital stat! Just so damn hilarious!

God, I hate Bill, but Don Diamont can still crack me up.

And, and, but, but, Bill and Sally!???

What manner of Tom Fuckery is this? Those two were positively burning up my screen yesterday. When Bill grabbed Sally I thought he was going to kiss her and I was on the edge of my seat, my two furbabies looking at me like I was daft, as I yelled YES! Good Lord, but I am so embarrassed and ashamed to admit that, but there it is.

Steffy and Hope should just call it even and have their own affair.

Katie and Wyatt looked like two naughty school kids who got caught kissing during recess, and were getting their smack down from Principle Bill. I think it was funny as hell. And I am sooooooo glad that Bill’s knickers got knotted up. However, it will stop being funny when Bill tries to pull some nonsense with Will and saying Katie is not being a good mom. Of course we have no gauge of that because we never see Will, but that is no different than any other kid on Show. And really, when was the last time Bill saw his youngest son? Or even ask about him? He has been too busy sexing up and pursuing his daughter-in-law; which by the way, is perfectly normal and not the least bit disgusting. Stuff it with a sock Bill with all your talk about two single, consenting adults getting it on, or getting married, or getting anything. You have about zero to say on the matter. Fucker. You just poked your DIL, the woman married to your “favorite” son. The heir apparent. And now the woman is pregnant and had to make sure her FIL wasn’t the father of her child. Yeah. SHUT UP about who is and who isn’t disgusting. Dilly fucking Dilly. Pig.

I could definitely get behind a Who Shot Bill SL. But I would add one more suspect to TobinAlbers list; Thomas, who is set to return for a short SL. I am hoping he is coming back because he finds out about the lie, and wants to make it right with Sally. I mean, I am so broken up that she is leaving, it will make me feel a little better to know she had some type of happy ending.

Fucking show.

I remembered him after I posted and ITA ! Also Thomas has a nasty streak. Tried to blow up Rick AND threw him out the window. I could totally see him gunning for Bill for using Douglas as a pawn in his company games.
