Carly doesn't think she did anything wrong, so she has no reason to reflect on her actions. She's just biding her time until Michael "comes to his senses".

 

 

And when Michael comes to his senses it should be him realizing that while he will always love Carly and Sonny he just doesn't like them as people and feels that his life will be better off without them in it since it will just lead to pain in one form or another.  

 

IMO, the problem with being called out is that it only works when there's a subsequent change in attitude/behavior. Considering that Carly is all smiles and giggles when she's with Jakeson, it doesn't seem like Michael's anger has had any effect at all, much less a positive effect.

 

 

And this is why Michael needs to cut her off.  I don't know how Michael can really get over his anger or even forgive when the person who needs to be forgiven doesn't think they did a damn thing wrong and isn't asking for forgiveness.  People act like Michael's love for AJ was over the top but when AJ came back he acknowledged his terrible actions and when he was called out by Michael over the fake fight with Sonny AJ never did it again and never lied to Michael.  AJ respected Michael's feelings.  Carly just wants to bull doze over them.  If these writers don't want to change anything about Carly's attitude then they better keep Michael wanting nothing to do with her.

Show would make me pull my hair out if I had any left.  Most days I'm just surprised someone thought the writing staff did a good enough job to film this stuff.  On days like this, I'm STUNNED that someone did.

 

Agent Muffin Top should just go and stuff his mouth full at Snarly's buffet (Imagine what her food choices would be, if you dare) and just SHUT THE HELL UP.  Either he's in with the crooks or a complete idiot to believe that Anna is all of a sudden the Big Bad.  Annoying waste of screen time.

As Julian and Carlos continue to hop, skip and jump to do the bidding of notLuke it never stops being total bullshit. That they haven't teamed up to just tie the old fart to a cinder block and watch him sink beneath black water...he isn't an invincible mob god. The stupid burns away so many brain cells I can't afford to even think about it.

 

 

But what am I saying?  Less of Muffin Top might just mean more of The Divine Mr. Geary, glorying in all the subtlety of his role as EVUL LUKE.  GAHHH, he really stinks.  He can lower his voice, narrow his eyes and refuse to blink but all that does is make him seem constipated, not the Big Bad.  As so many of you have said, WHY doesn't someone JUST SHOOT HIM?  Or spike his metamucil?  Watching Constipated Luke talking to Crazy Eyes Carlos, not a great moment.

 

And Olivia can just STFU unless she repeated everything she said to Alexis later to herself in the mirror.  I'm not an Alexis fan very much, but Olivia climbed back into bed with the Moobster who shot his own son - HER SON - in the chest.  That alone - not to mention her and Johnny - disqualifies her for LIFE from judging anyone else - other than Sonny - about anything, anytime, anywhere.  She needs to fall into a vat of sauce and just drown.  And Alexis can STFU too.

 

Brandon's hyena cackling in the prison yard actually made me chuckle, at least he's enjoying himself which is rare to see from most of the actors. Though I imagine it helps that he's only signed on for a temporary stint. 

 

The only part of today's show I liked was unrepentant Johnny taunting that flatulent bag of tortellini.  Moobs is such a big baby.

 

I really wanted Johnny to plant a big wet one on Sonny before he left.

 

If Johnny wasn't getting out, Sonny would be getting personal, you just know he would.  Our li' Moobs can't be alone too long.

This, I liked. I thought it of as a way of acknowledging a budding relationship without using the more heavily-loaded "Dad."

 

 

And I was even liking Liz up until she was telling Ric he had nothing to worry about and then getting her 'pensive about Jake' look.

 

I was a little more alarmed by Ric's neediness. He's been talking a good game since he came back the first time, but when it comes to his relationship with Elizabeth, he keeps making comments that make me think he's really only a step or two away from chaining someone up in a panic room.

I'm not even joking here this time, but Ron Carlivati cannot "do" deep. He just can't. For all of Guza's bullshit, he and his writing team - when they gave a rat's ass - knew how to go deep (even if that was rare because hey, mob wars!). Ron knows camp and '80s references and GH is all the poorer for his lack of depth.

 

I don't know if Guza did either - it was his writing team that saved his stuff. Frank was an idiot to fire most of them when he came along. i think they could have saved a bunch of Ron's stuff too.

There are certain characters who are never called out under Ron's pen. Carly is one of them. Patrick is another.

Carlys never been called out no matter who writes her lol.THere  is such a comparsion to old school lucy and oldschool heather who when they were the town pariahs actually got called out by their family members and of course most of the town.

I usually don't mind Bobbie, and God knows she's suffered enough just from having a horror like Carly come out of her womb, but she really needs to not get involved in this fuck of clusters. Same here. Realistically there's been enough time for Lucas and Julian to grow their bond fairly well, it's just that Wreck It Ron and his band of merry buffoons never bothered to focus much attention on their growing relationship so that we could actually see it happening for ourselves.

 

It would be two or three months without them even mentioning one another and then suddenly a scene would appear where they imply just how close and cozy they've gotten all off screen.

 

There were so many empty, drag along months last year, especially when they tried to stall the notLuke horror show while Tony recovered. I think the amount of time wasted last year is both astonishing and pathetic.

Oh gods, I just cannot with this show.  Poor darling dim Morgan -- if he isn't revealed as the father, I am going to vomit blood.  Sonny is the most vile and disgusting creature.  He does not deserve that lovely child.  His parting shot at Ava made me cringe.  I (unexpectedly) enjoyed Ava naming her daughter.  Maura West is stunning when she's not covered in makeup, and I found her quietly effective today.

 

Feel free to shut the fuck up, Alexis.  Throwing shade at Olivia?  Really?  This is why I can't be having with Alexis -- she persists in acting like a teenager several decades after that shit ceases to be attractive.  I have never seen her in a mature, adult relationship.  I remember thiinking she and Jax could have made it work, back in the day, but even then she was getting too old to be so immature with men.

 

While I'm being negative, Bobbie looks even more horrendous than usual.  Something about her overly manicured eyebrows and her brow ridge is just creeping me out.   

 

I refuse to watch TG.  Period.  I'm a hater.

 

But... but... Billy Miller gives me life. I loved his look when he opened the door to find Carly.  It so clearly said, "Yes, this is just as bad a mistake as I thought it would be!"  Welcome to BFF status with Carly -- she will barge in on you anytime, anywhere, for any reason, grinning like a maniac.

 

And hooray for a Julian/Lucas scene!  And hooray for Julian telling him the truth!  That was a solid scene, and I really liked it.

I'm a wee bit embarrassed, but I was intrigued during the Johnny stuff for the first time since the AJ reveal- both when he came back and Micheal found out Sonny "killed" him.

I just hope Johnny didn't give Sonny ideas to fabricate or buy evidence. Dude, Johnny just confessed and bought a robot statement. You have a tape where AJ recorded him begging you not to kill him, but you did anyway. And you plead guilty (to free the mob cat and Carly) and admitted it to Micheal. Johnny just hid like a ninja and shot tires.

I don't know is anyone else watched the awesome Agent Carter last night, but in the second hour there was a hilarious scene where Lyndsey Fonseca's waitress character is pointing out some women in their building and she says something like "that's Sarah, she's a waitress; that's Betty, she's an opera singer; that's Jane, she's a slut".

I need a scene where say Pip is pointing out characters to a new new nurse/doc and says something like "that's Anna, she's the police commissioner with amazing hair; that's Jordan, the mob hitwoman with amazing clothes; that's Carly the gold-digging succubus".

In my world the only good that could come of any further scenes with Franco and the NIna would involve their deaths and...yeah, that's it really. They can even be buried together. After being set afire and then their bones encased in cement to ensure they couldn't just "come to back to life" like some unholy zombies. Unless Ron has watched "Torchwood" and decided to rip off of that show as well not even he could fix that very certain type of deader than dead,

 

I am beginning to wonder if Dom's hair has decided of its' own power to go on strike due to how crappy his scenes have been for the longest. In the previews it's as if he had his head stuck out of his car window all the way to work.

You're right, He doesn't deserve to be called Muffin Top.  And if he wasn't being such an ass to Anna I wouldn't even call him NotHot.  Show encourages me to descend to Show's level and sometimes I gleefully agree.  Because Show is causing me to lose my tiny little mind.

The biggest issue with Agent Sloane is that "Rodd Derringer" (which is absolutely no one's real name, in or out of porn) is straight out of the Drake Hogestyn school of soap acting. Smell the fart, cock an eyebrow and staaaaarrreeee. Every time this creepy middle-aged dude emphatically vamps for the camera he looks like he's killing a pigeon with his mind. He is awful.

ETA: I think it's a shame that the show has totally ignored how close Dante & Kid!Morgan were. I don't think Dom & Bryan have shared five scenes in the past year and a half. And I think acting opposite someone like Dom who gives a very calm yet nuanced and layered performance would be good for Bryan, who around bad actors easily slides into bouncing histrionics.

 

 

I mean, to be fair, ultimately young Morgan and Dante did not spend that much time together in the long run. I think it took less than a year from the time Dante came on to the time when they sent Morgan off to school. Couple that with the time Morgan spent away and the age difference between them and I can understand how they grew apart. But even if they did, I do not buy stuff like Dante blithely giving Morgan his blessing to get married at 19, or not even having a line to weigh in on Michael shunning Morgan right now. Not even a "I don't blame you for feeling like you do towards Morgan right now", which I could buy. I think the most believable scenario would be Dante telling Michael to try not to be so angry and to try to forgive Morgan, but I could buy the former statement, like I said, if they wanted to have a scenario for why Dante didn't even try to intervene a little on Morgan's behalf.

 

I could understand why they didn't have Dante interfere too much in the initial Kaka/Michael/Morgan triangle  - it would upset the Cain/Abel thing Ron was going for - but there's no reason why they can't have him put in his two cents for two seconds now.

But instead, we've got Morgan and Sonny and now Bobbie admonishing Michael for being so mean to Mommy.  BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It all goes hand in hand with the fact that Carly is still allowed to "mother" Joss, which means she still has such a thing as custody of her and hasn't been ordered to keep away from the child by at least one hundred feet and hasn't had all contact revoked to a single supervised visitation once a month because frankly Carly has basically endangered that girl's life from day one.

 

She's a mother in the simplest terms, she gives birth to children. But when it comes to loving them, nurturing them, caring for them or about their feelings and wanting whatever is best for them despite her own wants/desires/needs? Fat chance.

 

Carly is the sort of mother who would eat her own young whole if it meant one more minute of life for herself. If she were cut she'd bleed narcissistic.  

 

Michael just needs to get his little narrow ass in line and stop holding her actions actually against her and give her a cuddle and realize what an amazing mother he has that she's willing to let him live a lie for his whole life, and suffer through depression and guilt, as long as she doesn't have to suffer any consequences, because really what else matters beyond that?

Seriously.  I feel like the whereabouts of the other kids - Emma, Danny, Cam - were at least name-checked.  But Carly a) hosts a NYE party, b) gets up early to go try and visit Sonny in prison, and then c) has a leisurely breakfast with Jake(son) with no mention or thought of her daughter. 

 

Ugh, she's, more than ever, the worst.

It isn't really accents that bother me so much it is the way he puts so much "feeling" into certain words like he is mugging to the audience and not in character.

Michael really has come up short in the extended family department, hasn't he?  And while i like Monica - Bobbie, not so much - both his grandmothers could play Blanche and Baby Jane Hudson with nothing more than a change of wardrobe. To what end? What good did it do? Is she suffering? Is she depressed? Is she acting like her world crumbled around her?

 

No, what Michael said to her was a thing of beauty but it didn't affect that self-absorbed idiot one iota.

Here is what may be a dumb question, and I know that characters are what characters are despite the writer  and that is one of the conceits of the genre, but is Carly a self-absorbed idiot or is that the way she is written by Ron because HE is a self-absorbed idiot. I just keep thinking that Guza's Carly (in any form not just LW) would have been crippled by what Michael said, maybe not for long but long enough that she would not have gone out on New Year's Eve and that should would have been planning some off the wall scheme to make him love her again (a fake kidnapping or herself or Joss, or even Him with her as the rescuer...something)

That being said, she would have launched a self-serving scheme by now (or maybe found a way to blame Dante or someone tertiary again, who knows?) and I expect her to do so soon.

Well, she's been blaming Franco, hasn't she? It's all his fault... I seem to have seen that particular deflection in quite a number of recaps.

 

And yet, no one seems to be all 'YOU BROUGHT THAT ON YOURSELF YOU STUPID GIT!' when she does. It wasn't her and Sonny who did anything wrong... it was all Franco's fault for blowing the whistle on them. HE was the one that was wrong.

 

Carly gives me a headache.
