WTActualF, I love my Robster, so it's hard for me to watch Patty galavanting around town with no worries while she's being trashed for the umpteenth time. Extricate her from Patty and I'd feel differently about him and Samantha.

......

Why was the sexytime Sam's dream, dammit!?!?? Why must Ron continue to drag this shitfest out? Or...at least give Sam/Patrick some depth in the meantime. It's been all about their attractionzzz since the pool table. Ugh. Move it along, puhlease.

I can't stand Spencer. He is not cute nor funny. Nik should be ashamed he created such a tool.

Why is Sabrina still on this show? She is so delusional about her dead baby and Patrick. You never knew him, sweetie!!! Let go of the manwhore.

Jordan looked gorgeous!

I miss Morgan and Maxie.

I don't have a problem with the show slowing Maxie/Nathan down, but I do think this situation with the judge is beyond contrived.  There had to have been a better way to keep them apart for a time than that.

I agree.  It is a ridiculously contrived reason for the judge to tell them they can't be together, but at the same time, it's the only thing that WOULD keep the apart.  Both Nathan and Maxie won't risk anything that may jeopardize her getting custody of Georgie.

I'd rather Maxie getting visitation and actually becoming a mother being the obstacle.

Word. I think Maxie and Nathan being a new parent (and the significant other) learning how to tread water with parenthood, in and of itself, can be interesting.

Not me.  The last thing I want to watch is a young couple's dialogue be "Can you hand me the diapers and the baby powder?"  I don't need to watch Maxie be a mother.  That's not a storyline as far as I'm concerned.  How long can that go on and be "must-see" television?  There is way too much baby talk and women trying to get pregnant and lying about pregnancies or having pain from an expected pregnancy or trying to end someone's pregnancy that the very last thing I want to see on GH right now is ANOTHER woman and a baby.  I swear, I think the only thing RC seems to recognize in a woman on GH is her uterus.

On top of that, throw in Maxie going up against Nathan's crazy family, voila! Much fun and conflict. But rather writes his characters as spending months apart without being in a relationship or having sex. Ron seems to hate those heterosexual non-plot moving love scenes, usually at the beginning and ending of episodes, where you see a couple in bed. They were a staple back in the 80s and even the 90s, and now they are non-existent.

I think the Cassadines can still be good story potential once Maxie gets Georgie back by end of year.  (The judge did say the hearing was in December.  So it's not that big a wait.)  Once Nathan and Maxie are officially together, then they can throw in his Cassadine background and/or the identity of his father.  I agree about RC and his relationships.  He's all about getting the couples to have sex but not much anything else.

I don't even know why they have to be apart for a time. (statement directed at the writers, not you TeeVee). They just went on their first damn date. And it makes Nathan look like a giant wimp to be cowed to the obviously-in-the-wrong judge to boot.

I don't agree.  Nathan is not going to risk anything that keeps Maxie away from Georgie, and he would be very selfish to do otherwise.  Under any other circumstance, I can see him fighting without a problem, but if Nathan loses in the end, and Maxie loses all visitation to Georgie, how does that ever NOT become an obstacle between them?  They can both wait until December.

The thing is, this judge is obviously the kind of person who is ready to delay custody because Maxie ate white bread instead of wheat. It was one thing waiting the first time, even the second time he delayed, but obviously he's over-the-top and Nathan needs to try to go to Anna or someone and try to get this man investigated or something.

I still say the show has no interest in Maxie getting Georgie back permanently.  Given the December hearing date, I'm sure she'll finally get visitation as a "Christmas miracle" or some such nonsense and we'll either hear that she went to see the baby or the baby will briefly appear in Port Charles over the holidays.

Spencer is being obnoxious beyond belief, and all Nik can muster up is, "You're not saying please and thank you." Then he pawns off Spencer's dietary habits onto Britt. Nik, you suck as a parent.

A LBD at breakfast? Britt, you are a tad overdressed.

Shawn needs to be launched into the sun, too. Ugh, he's such an asshole.

It's Tracy's fault if Sam and Patrick had slept together? OMFG. Sam is making a Sonny excuse. That fantasy was dumb. It's not as if Amsterdam is the first time they've been alone together. Gah.

I'm enjoying Sabrina's anguish. Serves the twit right.

  • Love 2

I really hope Sam tells Silas to shove it up his ass tomorrow.  Too little, too late.

I knew SamTrick was a dream sequence, but I still enjoyed it.  I wish I looked as good as KeMo does in lounge wear.

Oh Sobby, you REALLY needed someone to point out that killing an innocent baby is WRONG?  Sigh.  I will say that TeCa was pretty decent acting wise today, even if her dialogue was silly.

Not only is Nik a weak parent, but he uses women almost as badly as Patty and Sonny.

Sam/Patrick are acting like high schoolers who are just getting these weird feels for the first time. You're both nearly 40. Leave the heavy breathing to Alexis.

I dislike Sabrina oh so much, but juxtaposing her falling apart w/ Patty's dick hanging out is beyond stupid.

The Maxie/Nathan date scenes were, shockingly, some of the best simple, everyday soap material I have seen on this show in ages. They just sat there for reasonably long scenes talking about their lives, their pasts, their work and their goals. It was easily the most I've ever liked Ryan Paevey with KS, even though I don't think they're right together for a long-term pairing. He seemed at ease and was charming.

It makes sense that they would then sink those good scenes (and Julian and Alexis's own recent ones, which weren't bad) by following it up with the ridiculous plot point of the judge horning in on their date, and yesterday's bit with Julian revealing a new obsession with The Golden Girls.

Also: Sonny was right about Carly and Franco, and I thought Laura Wright and MB played a lot of that well - especially Wright saying she "wanted" to love Franco - and a lot of those scenes pre and post-coitus were well-written. But that doesn't make their complete lack of understanding of or interest in what they have done to Michael any less disgusting. I can't count the amount of times over the years I have heard Sonny say that "[X] is something I'll have to live with for the rest of my life." But you always do, don't you, Sonny? And you never pay for it. It's just a rote phrase to him now. And I have little faith that, beyond the inevitable big scenes when this all comes out - which I'm sure will be good - after that immediate moment, Sonny and Carly will not pay for what they have done, will never understand it or acknowledge that, hey, we were wrong about Michael, Sonny was wrong to kill A.J., A.J. did not deserve it, we have completely torched Michael's life.

And some of their myopia is built-in - as characters, it would make sense for both of them to only ever be so at peace with Michael and A.J. That is who they are. They grudgingly accepted it at best last year, and that worked. But A.J. is dead and Sonny killed him for nothing, and they have to come to terms with the reality of that as opposed to the excuses and the mild self-pity.

Meanwhile, they have been moving way too fast on Patrick and Sam ever since Crichton-Clark. I like them together, but the writing suddenly went into overdrive as Ron tries to beat feet to November sweeps. They've had a few decent conversations about themselves and how they've changed, how Patrick saw Jason, etc. But it's not enough, and it didn't go into the nitty-gritty - the shit Sam did to Jason, the way she blithely accepted his mob life. Plus, the scenes were too overtly sexualized, coming after their first makeout session on Sam's couch.

That's a fair statement, and Nathan may even be inclined to do it, but if Anna starts investigating and in that time, the judge makes a decision against Maxie regarding Maxie's visitation with Georgie, and it's going to stick.  Appeals can take years.  So in that regard, I don't see Nathan risking it, not right now.  Maybe afterwards, but if I were him, I wouldn't want to be the one that starts an investigation on the judge when he controls the visitation rights for Maxie.  I'd rather have Maxie make that call.

LET THE JOYOUS NEWS BE SPREAD!!!

Seriously, if Jason Morgan is no more, this show has just improved by about 1000%.

Not for me.  I'm a big Jason Morgan fan, and I'm not thrilled about BM taking over the role and turning Jason into Billy Abbott 2.0.  Just no.

Spencer is annoying but I would take him over bratty Emma any day.

I like Spencer.  Yes he's obnoxious and over the top, but we need even young "villains," and I think Spencer is ten times more enjoyable than Emma and Cameron.  He cracked me up today, and I think Spencer and Britt have chemistry in a partners-in-crime kind of way.  I actually like the family dynamic of Spencer, Britt, and Nikolas because it just makes sense as Cassadines.  They wouldn't be a normal family unit.

I didn't think of it that way, but you're right.  Nathan and Maxie's first date was blissfully normal.  No gunfights, no dropped bombshell secrets, not fisticuffs.  They simply talked about themselves and tried to get to know each other.  How refreshing.

I agree that RC rushes everything, hence why I'm so happy that he's moving slowly with Maxie and Nathan.  RC loves to slam his foot on the gas the minute a couple has chemistry, and he accelerates the storylines.  I agree that Sam and Patrick were good getting to know each other, and slowly bonding, but today Sam was suddenly all into Patrick.  Maybe she's just lonely, but it was too much too soon.  As for her talking about anything her relationship with Jason or her accepting his mob life, it has nothing to do with Patrick, and she doesn't need to tell him anything.  Her choices are her choices just as his are his, imo.

it will be all about how Ava goaded Sonny into shooting AJ. Sonny promised Michael he wouldn't hurt AJ! And look what Ava made him do! Sonny thinks AJ did deserve to die, as does Carly. They always have. They're sorry Michael was sad about it, but they weren't sorry AJ was dead.

It's too bad the recording is only about Sonny admitting he killed AJ. I wish the murder itself had been taped, then everyone could hear AJ begging for his life, and there'd be no doubt Sonny shot him because he's a selfish asshole who thinks only of himself.

  • Love 3

I nearly turned off the show when I saw Spencer was in the opening scene and he was being a little shit.

I wish I would have. That has to be one of the single most awkward and uninviting episode I've seen in a while. I disliked it so much I'd rather watch flashbacks of CarSon(yes, I said THAT!)

The only good thing Ava has done is cause Shawn to cut Jordan off....oh the horrors!<sarcasm font>

Um, let's see Sabrina if you think Ava is such a horrible person she should lose her baby, guess what she STILL is. Last I heard she killed a woman and framed a man for life in prison. How about just say bygones and leave it at that. Sobby indeed.

I just can't even touch The douchecannon. I mean what are they good close friends or barely aquaintances? I've had close male friends I've shared camping tents with and it is NO BIG DEAL. Now we are on episode 3! of angst over a hotel bed! SMDH & RME

Did love Tracy giving them a smack down though. heh!

Dear Britt,

Glad you are trading in high class OB doctor for beck and CALL girl. I bet you are so thrilled to get Prince Nik of the horrible hairdo. Buy him a can of dippydo and ya'll can be a princely version of CarSon. ewww.

I was so glad to see that damn paper with a giant picture of Jordan and a mummy on it. In what world would anyone get a close-up of a man's bandaged face? How would that be helpful or anything anyone would want to see? FGS!

Someone please dock roll Spencer. Thank You!

I've never disliked a child on a soap the way I do this little horror.  Or should I say, Howwah?  His gap-toothed, supercilious charm escapes me.  Much like the escaped criminally insane barber who cut Count Dickolas' hair.

And the Show puts SHAWN onscreen too??  In the same episode?  Along with the Nina??  And Patrick and Sam's imaginary sex scene?

BTW, Tracy can go suck eggs too.  I'm sick to death of her boneheaded neediness.  And it was OOC for her to give a rats ass if Sam and Patrick were together.  She doesn't care about either of them AT ALL.

I did like the waiter, though.  I'm hoping he snuck some laxatives in the Little Shit's "Jasper Jacks" pancakes.   Which reminds me, Jacks has been reduced to a breakfast item??

If that's the case, then Spencer is Snasausages.

  • Love 6

I just can't even touch The douchecannon. I mean what are they good close friends or barely aquaintances?

I'm still not buying the close friends/deep bond BS that RC is trying to sell. "Ooh, Sam cares about St. Gabriel, so we're sooo connected now." Give me a break. The quickie sex makes more sense to me than anything.

Which is why I think they should just do it and get it over with, especially because there are no obstacles being written for either of them.

And they will probably retcon it where Sonny's bullet wasn't what ultimately killed AJ - even though AJ wouldn't have been in the hospital at all if it wasn't for Sonny shooting him.

And I will just shake my head when Sonny points the finger at Ava and acts all "she made me do it!"  Sonny is/will have to be the most pathetic mobster ever.

I hate how he called Rocco a townie name and then said Lulu's kidnapping was fortuitous. I know he doesn't know she was assaulted by grandpa crazy, but still. Shut it, Spencer.

  • Love 6

Spencer & the child actor that plays him were not needed at all for today's scenes. Simply Ron, playing to one of his favorites. Maybe we could have had an actual discussion between Nic & Britt.  Nnnooo, Ron just slaps them back together with no build-up or work.

I am so tired of every mobster that is not named Sonny, being the evillist evil that ever evulled mobster. It's been the same shit for the past 20 years.

If Ron had resolved the Robin/Patrick relationship with any talent or skill, I could get behind the SamTrick train. Yea, it's rushed & doesn't make perfect since but  to me they have chemistry, are cute & playful together. How long has it been since we got cute & playful??  Somehow,Tracy will definitely use the believed Sam/Patrick hook-up to her advantage.

Jordan is so wasted on Shawn.

I love the way Morgan has been taking care of Ava. I also like that Kaka is not around with her big potato head.

Ulkis, I'm tired of him using the word "townie". He was born & lives in the damn town. He also goes to school in the town. He is a townie

  • Love 6

It's always so interesting to me how differently people react to characters/ stories/ episodes.  I liked today's show. Spencer amuses me, little shit that he is.  And I like Britt & Nik together, for some reason.  Nik is a terrible parent and Britt is a total schemer, but something about them together just works for me.

It is a ridiculously contrived reason for the judge to tell them they can't be together, but at the same time, it's the only thing that WOULD keep the apart.  Both Nathan and Maxie won't risk anything that may jeopardize her getting custody of Georgie.

But why is there a need to keep them apart?  They haven't been together yet!

I wish the murder itself had been taped

But wasn't it, on AJ's phone that Carly & Franco somehow got a hold of?

I know! I mentioned that the first time Spencer called someone a townie. And I hate that Nik doesn't shut that down, either. Spencer and Rocco are cousins. Nik has probably forgotten than.

But wasn't it, on AJ's phone that Carly & Franco somehow got a hold of?

Oh, yeah. This story has moved at such a molasses pace I've forgotten the details. But I do remember that Franco knows only that Sonny shot AJ. He doesn't know AJ was begging for his life.

God dammit. What did Billy Miller do to be saddled with Rebecca Herbst as a scene partner? I was so happy to hear he was coming to GH, and this is what he's stuck with? Jiz?

Poor BM.

I'm about done. I just can't with skeletor anymore.

That will change, I think. Call me cray, but I don't see this being about the undying <3 of Jason and Liz.

Oh, yeah. This story has moved at such a molasses pace I've forgotten the details. But I do remember that Franco knows only that Sonny shot AJ. He doesn't know AJ was begging for his life.

Carly and Franco heard the whole recording that was on AJ's phone when they went to Spinelli.  They heard the conversation with Ava and AJ and when Sonny walked in so they heard what he said to Sonny.

  • Love 1

Just caught up on the last two days, and like, five pages of new snarking.  Strong work, folks.

I was so rationally irritated by Judge Plot Point, I could hardly pay attention to how cute Nathan was.

I wish I could say that I saw this coming, but I didn't.  I naively thought that Nathan and Maxie were going to have some time to actually finish a meal together, before 'some contrived obstacle' blew it all to smithereens.  Silly, silly, girl.

What I would love, is to see a 'date night' with Maxie and Nathan, Lulu and Dante, and Britt and Nik. All family, all friends -- but alas, that would be boring.  Who wants to see people talking to each other and having fun, when we can relive that hot Mooby-Snarly sex, and get close-ups of that not-at-all-hideous necklace and sonny's not-at-all-hideous nipples?

Ron can't write for shit.  He needs to just give it up already.

AND STOP MESSING WITH THE GOLDEN GIRLS!

Also, is there supposed to be some reason why Liz believes that "Jake" the amnesia patient has actually remembered his real name?

He's an amnesia patient, he could be recalling someone else's name, hint hint...or a friend's, or something he saw on TV before the accident, who the heck know for he certainly doesn't, he's obviously guessing just because it "feels right" to him. It just...this story line really is plot by numbers.

I so wish NuJakeson's first memory was of Sam, so he'd think that Sam was his own name.

So St. Jasus had 30+ hours of major reconstructive facial surgery to the point he won't be recognizable ,yet 1-2 days after surgery he can talk & smile? No major major swelling or bruising from the accident or surgery & no difficulty using his muscles due to the injury or all the surgery. Nope, not St. Jasus

Yes, ridiculous.  There was all kinds of 'I Love Lucy' bullshit up in there.  Not only had his voice seemingly "changed completely", his face looks like he just went in for a nose job and a little brow tuck.  And also, wouldn't his body be somewhat recognizable?  He had like 50 gun shot and stab wounds, give or take a dozen. (Although hard to tell, it did look like NuJakeson's eye's actually blinked a couple of times, so I can understand why no one would be the wiser.)

Get the fuck outta here with this, Ron.

You should have just used some black-rimmed eyeglass frames with a mustache attached -- would have worked just as well.

Some days, wine in a box is the only way I can get through this show.

I take mine in an iv drip -- my hands are usually too busy being smacked up against my forehead to be able to lift the box to my face.

Britt is pathetic.

Nik is pathetic.

Kiki is pathetic (I hate Kiki).

Michael is pathetic.

Sonny is pathetic.

Carly is pathetic.

Franco is pathetic.

Neener (TY to whoever started this) is pathetic.

Silas is Pathetic.    etc. etc.

This is what love in PC looks like.  Pathetic in the afternoon.
