I personally can't believe that it's taken Kevin this long to start feeding Ryan bad intel in the hopes that someone gets wise.

Well, the last time we saw Kevin, he had said out loud that he would do just that, but that was sometime around Christmas, so it's more the pacing than the lack of intelligence on Kevin's part.

Remind me again why Ryan Carnes isn't a lead on this show?  Lucas and Liz' scenes today were perfection.  Even Brad's involvement was just right.

Also, loved the Jerome sibling interaction.  Loved the expression Maura made when Julian told Ava that he had lied to Kim about sleeping with someone else.  Also loved her getting pissed at him that he took away his support of Kim just as she needed it most.

Alexis/Kristina/Shiloh:  Just no.  None of it works or makes any sense to me.

Why do they insists on making the PCPD so stupid?  Jordan's got a giant board with the four victims and Ryan and she's trying to find the connection between them.  Um, the connection is Kevin.  Kevin, who is Ryan's brother.  Kevin, who worked with Mary Pat and fought with her over Carly's care.   Kevin, who is dating Kiki's mother.  Kevin who was being interviewed by Peyton.  Kevin who is Lulu's mother's ex.    But no, instead, they go looking at Franco.  Now, I hate Franco with the heat of a thousand suns and would have no problem if he was tossed in prison, moved away or died.  But why bring him in ?  He has no connection to Mary Pat or Peyton.  Kiki was essentially his daughter.  And other than the Aiden/Charlotte connection, there's nothing really between him and LUlu.  So dumb.

I didn't see today yet, but that sounds promising.  I remember Lucas and Liz sharing some fun co-worker-y scenes AGES ago and I liked their dynamic.

And what's this I see on Twitter about Dr. O getting a job as a medical reporter?  I thought she was gonna run some evil lab at Cassadine Industries!

Because he has to be injected into as many stories as possible to prove he's a good guy. What better way for the audience to forget that he's a SERIAL KILLER than to prove that he's not the serial killer the PCPD is currently hunting?

How many times is this now they've done this exact story with Franco:

- Carly is (presumed) killed, thought it was Franco, it was Heather.

- Silas was killed, thought it was Franco, it was Donna Mills.

- Tom Baker was killed, thought it was Franco, it was his poor brother.

Is that it?

Strangely, I liked a lot of today's episode.

The Aiden storyline was well done.  Franco was over-eager with the books but at least he was trying to help.  Liz's conversation with Ryan and Brad was very well done and suprisingly not hit-you-over-the-head PSA.

I don't care if Shiloh is pulling a con (although if he's there to torture Sam, I say 'go for it'), joining this group has been the best thing I can ever remember happening to Kristina. After endless years and storylines, she's finally growing up. This is the first time since the Kiefer stuff that she's had a good conversation with Alexis.  This is actually well written therapy. Alexis practically running out the door is realistic too.

Alexis likes psychopaths, can't she have a fling with Shiloh?  Maybe she could chill out a bit.

I liked Ava and Julian acting like supportive siblings, and then Julian finally goes to talk to Kim.  How strange to have people acting like adults on this show.  I like how none of Julian, Kim or Drew are written as being wrong in this triangle.  All are just doing the best they think they can for others. On the other hand, Corinthos-loving Lucas needs to STFU about Julian seeing Wiley.

Nina is such a bitch. Liesl is mourning Nathan in a way neither Nina can mourn a brother or Maxie a husband and the last thing Nina should be doing is telling her to drop dead. I wouldn't miss Valentin and Nina at all if they were Ryan's next victims.

Are there no limits to how stupid SCPD are? Chase, I had hoped better for you. If Kevin knew that Franco was going to commit a crime, he had a legal obligation to report it to the police.

She should be running an evil lab.  The only thing I didn't like about this episode is that Peter is probably going to give her the job because Maxie asks.

Why is Maxie explaining anything to this woman? She should have said, yeah, I'm seeing someone, whattaya gonna do, electrocute me?

I know it's not these writers' fault that Robin and Georgie are not around but couldn't Maxie become intimate with almost anyone besides Obrecht? Nina and O. being Maxie's main family now is depressing.

I hate hate Nina but that's not really what she was saying. She was making a point of how ridiculous it was for Obrecht to say she'd rather drop dead than work for Nina. Plus, she understandably lost her temper at Obrecht getting pissy at her not telling her Maxie is seeing someone, which she's not exactly doing yet and wouldn't be Nina's place to say even if she was.

First, the shallow, Ryan and Becky, seriously gorgeous people!.  But it was just refreshing to have a scene between two characters where you can understand what they're saying, where they aren't mumbling or stumbling over their words.  Or looking over at the teleprompter for the next line.  Or stepping on each other's lines.  Or eating a bag of doritos while talking.  Just two people (and Brad too) having a normal conversation like grown ups.

I've had mixed feelings about the Aiden storyline, mainly because it felt like the show was undercutting its message of accepting nonconforming people by suggesting that there's a definable reason for those nonconformities. Lucas and Brad's conversation with Liz today helped remedy a lot of my misgivings. Whether Aiden is gay and aware of it from an early age like Brad, or will come out later in life like Lucas, or if he isn't gay at all, none of that is really important. The onus isn't on Aiden to provide justification to society for any of his perceived differences. As his mom, Liz can foster an environment of positivity and affirmation so that Aiden feels safe to be himself, however he defines that. All things considered, I think GH treated this situation with the sensitivity it deserves.

She reminded Valentin that he owes her, but he doesn't have a job for her.  He tried to convince Peter to hire her at the Invader.  Peter said, no way, biatch tortured me.  Then Liesl tells Maxie that she needs a job and wanted to write a medical column for Crimson.  Maxie says that niche is too small, try something wider, as Peter arrives and she's all "lightbulb moment"

Problem is, that once JaSam prove that Shilos is "the evil", she'll go back to the whining, wimpering, blaming others for her life failures way.

Valentin doesn't have a job?  Dude, she's blackmailing you and you run the fuckin' company, just make one up!

And wow, Maxie.  I loathe LWB/FS, but if she suggests he hire the woman who tortured him all summer, she's got some nerve.

ETA - I'm sure Lulu would also appreciate coming back from her medical leave to find the woman who played barter games with her embryos taking up all the space in the common area fridge.

I guess the writers have forgotten that Maxie does have family in PC: Mac, Felicia, and Anna are around. But Mac and Felicia are stuck in the senior closet, and Anna is stuck in her dumb story.

I think you and I have had similar misgivings about the Aidan story, @Linny, so reading this makes me look forward to these scenes. For a good reason, for a change.

I was joking about it before, but Lucky wasn't an average kid either, someone should mention that maybe Aiden just takes after his dad.

Lucky wasn't doing things like watching princess shows and baking—gasp!—cupcakes frosted in pink. He was running cons and traveling across the States on his own, which I think is more alarming. But all that is "manly," not "girly," so no one batted an eye. Your larger point is a good one, @ulkis, but there's no way the current show will give Lucky credit for anything positive. I'm surprised his absence hasn't been used as more of a reason the boys act out in any way.

Argh, Dr. O with her own evil lab would be so fun!  Imagine Maxie or Nina popping by for an expositional conversation...

Maxie: How are you, Liesl?

Dr. O: Oh fine, just working on this order for Gotham City.  This penguin (Carly: Morgan loved penguins!) dude is gonna have to pay me overtime if he wants these gas bombs on schedule.  Anyway, how are you, my dear?

Yes, but he was also very sensitive, wore jewelry, listened to music other kids his age didn't, was super smart with computers, etc etc.

Yeah this Drew and Kim stuff isn't going to work with me as a Drew fan. These actors have nothing going.  I'd rather Drew and Margo.   I have no issue with TB and Billy in their scenes, but they just come across as friends/siblings.

Just write Drew off the show, please!

Yes, it was ridiculous but maybe because KG is a better actor, I felt Obrecht's pain more than I felt Nina's or Maxie's.

The three of them got together to honor of Nathan on the anniversary of his death. They shared stories and talked. But then Obrecht found out that Maxie was moving on, which is not wrong but it stabbed Nathan's mother's heart, and that Nina knew of it.  Of course Maxie was going to date again (watch for Obrecht's reaction when she finds out that it's Peter, the indirect cause of Nathan's death) and get married and have more children but for Obrecht it's so soon. And Nina has Valentin, and Charlotte and now Sasha, and her job. They're sad about Nathan but they have their lives to live and other people to take his place.

But Obrecht doesn't. She gave up Nathan to protect  him from Faison (bad decision but it's done) and lost all of Nathan's life until the last year or so when she finally reconnected with him.  She will never get those years back and she will never have another son. Someone said that the one thing a parent doesn't want is to bury their own child. I think her loss, although different, is as great as Maxie's.

So to me it showed (again) how completely lacking in empathy Nina is. While living with and defending a man who repeatedly lies to her and hurts people.

And how caring Maxie is that she is concerned about Obrecht and unlike Nina, wants to help her.

Is Margaux still a thing?

It was weeks ago when we last saw her, when she brought the scarf back to Carly.  Than Carly cried all over Jason about Sonny cheating on her with Margo and how she was going to dump his sorry ass.  Then nothing.  Then Carly promising Sonny that she'll be by his side for Mike.  So I think they dropped the possible Margo/Sonny cheating story that looked like it was brewing.

Or the terrible pacing on this show is a factor again.  It took more than a year for Jason and Sam to start mooning over each other and the Aiden bullying story started in the summer and it's only just getting up steam now.

Alex was briefly on GH a couple of years ago.  She had kidnapped Anna and held her hostage, (giving her the treatments for her condition while she was at it).  Alex had to pretend she knew Anna's people, like Griffin and Andre.  I forget why she did it, but yeah, there was that.

Thanks for the reminder. I had totally forgotten about that.

I sometimes wish Julian and Ava weren't siblings. They have great chemistry and would have made an interesting couple. Their scenes were the best thing about today's episode IMO.

The last time I remember seeing her was when she was talking with Jordan about the Ryan Chamberlain killings. Since then, nada.

Like someone already pointed out, the show is so badly paced. Characters and stories disappear for weeks, if not months, and then just magically reappear.

Yes to more Lucas. The conversation with Liz and Brad felt natural and real.

I'm enjoying having Genie Francis and Jon Lindstrom on my screen so I'm kind of ok with them dragging the story out, but good lord does the PCPD look slow.

I am still loving the Dawn of Day scenes.  Alexis has always been one of my faves and I think a lot of that comes down to NLG's ability to sell relationships. I love her mother-daughter chem with Kristina, and liked her perspective on Julian. But also: GIRL. If you want to not think about your ex-husband, stop going to his bar

I laughed out loud at that. Of course Carly would need to be part of that story and would naturally make it about Morgan. I'm shocked that we haven't had a scene with her talking to Sonny about Lulu and how glad she is for Laura that her daughter survived because no one should ever have to feel how she felt when Morgan died.

Did Monica get a scene to mourn AJ on the first anniversary of his death?

The Elizabeth/Brad/Lucas talk was really good. I like that Brad and Lucas were honest about things taking time to get better. Their advice about letting Aidan go at his own pace was also good, especially because Franco is being too pushy, even if it comes from a good place. It's not up to anyone except Aidan to set the pace.

Shocker! Franco is probably not the person who killed Lauren, Mary Pat, and Peyton. Who'd've thunk?

Previews: "The PCPD has a new suspect." LOL. Valentin? Julian? Some other obviously innocent person?

EH/Margo was probably never meant to be on this long.  She was most likely brought on to escort Billy off set in a storyline where Drew gives up secrets to the DA. Instead Billy decided to sign another contract, probably because he needed money (because there is no way a sane person would decide to stay on this show given what they had done to Drew/Jake Doe/Fakeson/ prior to her coming on)  Then MB ended up taking a likening to her and she was put there for a bit and now I guess CARSON 4EVA just like JASAM4EVA and FV wants to hoard and hold onto her as long as possible.

Is anyone else kinda annoyed at how Kim and Drew are constantly bashing Julian, saying he left her because he was selfish and wanted more attention while completing ignoring the fact that the main reason Julian left her was because he caught her kissing Drew?

I know we've made the Scientology connection before with DoD, but I noticed today that Shiloh offered to give Alexis an "examination," which I'm sure would be like a Scientology "audit." Of course, Sam will be the one to submit to it, in the interest of playing Shiloh. (It really would be interesting if she actually did get a little brainwashed -- If some of her misgivings about Jason's dangerous life bubbled back up to the surface.)

I simply cannot feel sorry for her. Her obsession with Faison is why she protected and enabled him for so many years. The choices driven by that obsession are the reason why Faison was ever in a position to shoot Nathan.  She could have stopped or help stop the madness a decade or more before Peter ever put his plan in motion to lure Faison out of hiding. Maxie not only lost her husband partially as a result of O's choices, she also lost out on years of her beloved cousin Robin's life.
