ybrik June 12, 2015 Share June 12, 2015 Finished binging the season. I thought the finale was pretty good. Not sure about the whole miracle thing at the end. Hopefully Piper stays like this. Complete bitch Piper is better than passive whiney Piper. Enjoyed her getting rid of Stella. What the hell was Caputo thinking? Let's piss of the workers right before the biggest day for the prison. Caputo is blind and stupid which is a bad combination. The Alex cliffhanger doesn't seem like one since I really don't think the show would get rid of Laura Prepon. Don't feel sorry for Alex. She listed all the reasons last year to Piper about the risk of testifying. Not looking forward to anymore Alex/Piper drama. I mean if we have to have a pairing of prisoners to focus I would rather it be Flaca and Maritza. I would like to see more of them as BFF's or possibly more. 5 Link to comment
Chairperson Meow June 12, 2015 Share June 12, 2015 So..... we get all this time building up to Daya/Bennett to reveal that the baby is now a ward of the state, Pornstache is in prison (with an awesome mullet), Bennett just disappears, and the two most sympathetic people in this- Mom Pornstache and the baby are screwed because Daya is stupid. And all this time we could have had Sophia vs Gloria? Because that is a real case of two women throwing down. At least we did get a Pornstache scene and a scene of Matt McGorry dancing. 9 Link to comment
ApathyMonger June 12, 2015 Share June 12, 2015 I really liked the season overall. The Norma religion storyline and the Piper panties storyline were probably stretched out too long, and I would have liked more resolution to the various storylines in the finale, but I thought it was definitely an improvement over S2. Brief thoughts on the season in general: So, I guess Laura Prepon has a season-by-season contract so they needed to end her on a cliffhanger? I'm assuming she's not dead, but I wouldn't really miss her if she was. That was a lot of pointless build-up for 30 seconds of Blair Brown as substitute Paula Deen. Not exactly looking forward to more of that next season. No Piper flashbacks! Probably for the best, but interesting choice. Lost always had multiple Jack/Kate episodes a season, even when they had nothing left to show. I liked Ruby Rose as Stella, but I'd have liked to have seen her interact with someone other than Piper. I wouldn't have minded a flashback for her. I liked most of the new guards and prison officials. Nice to see Mike Birbiglia working, even if his stuff got a little repetitive. Coates was a creepy asshole though, even before the rape. I did not miss Bennett. If HTGAWM did nothing else, it stopped that awful storyline from continuing. Poor Soso. At least she seemed happy at the very end. That Suzanne erotic fiction storyline was ridiculous, but I kind of liked it. The drama/comedy balance seemed weighted much more to the comedy side this season, with a few obvious exceptions. It helped that Piper's storyline felt much more comedic than usual. 2 Link to comment
CofCinci June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 Are we supposed to be on the edge about whether or not Alex survives in the garden shed? I couldn't care less. I enjoyed the lake scene but it seemed a little too long. 15 Link to comment
LoveMyVike June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 I loved Cindy! She actually made me cry. Enjoyed Tastee's redemption this season, as well as Stucky and Boo being better than donut man. I like badass Piper much better too. Would've liked to have seen what happened to Bursett. 7 Link to comment
Chairperson Meow June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 I kinda..... liked Red and Healy. They're both these hard ass, awkward dorks who care but show it in weird ways. I'm terrible. I also liked the slow build to SoSo and Poussey. Damn Leanne for cutting her hair. You do not mess with that kind of beauty. And I'm ready for Sophia and Gloria to feud like hell next season. Literally, that's the major story right there. Two bad ass women, mothers going at it. That look they exchanged when Sophia went to seg. Oh hell no. 7 Link to comment
FaithsMum June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 (edited) Christ, this season was freaking boring. I kept watching in the hope that Nicky would make a comeback as I love her and she is probably my favourite. Nope. Piper has always been irritating, now she's fucking insufferable. Alex has replaced Piper with the whinyness. I love both Crazy Eyes and Morello but didn't enjoy either of their storylines. The only part of the season I really liked was the Big Boo/Pennsatucky friendship. I really enjoyed how they bounced off one another and Boo's concern for her after she was raped - and desire for her to see that it *was* rape - was touching. Otherwise, for me, it was a complete letdown. Edit: I do think they're preparing to continue the show without Piper now though which is why she's become part of the ensemble, rather than the lead. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part since I find her (and Alex) the least compelling of all the cast. Edited June 13, 2015 by FaithsMum 5 Link to comment
Trick Question June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 I quite liked the season as a whole. It's crazy that we're three seasons deep and not even close to running out of characters for their own personal 'flashback' episodes. After the otherwise strong S2 suffered a bit from Vee overload (o-Vee-load?), I'm happy the show didn't really have a singular "big bad" this season --- in fact, there wasn't even a true overarching plotline, just stories for everyone, which is probably the preferred method for a show with such a big ensemble cast. As for this episode, however, I was SURE Lori Petty was going to end up being an assassin after all, or if not her, then the big 'teddy bear' guard who Alex so casually dismissed earlier. 2 Link to comment
Freckledbruh June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 Loved this season and the final lake scenes were great. I really liked how the show used comparisons to explore subjects like how women deal with leadership (Taystee vs. Piper vs. Norma), religion (Black Cindy vs. the former Amish woman), loneliness and depression (Poussey vs. SoSo). There were points where I was seriously about to cry and I am not a crier. I didn't really care about the cliffhangers since those were plots I had little interest in. 13 Link to comment

I'm looking forward to seeing more of that next season. Two very lonely people. I also want to see how things between Suzanne and her fan (I can't recall her name) who has shown a genuine interest in her will pan out. @faithsmum The only part of the season I really liked was the Big Boo/Pennsatucky friendship. Janet Snakehole June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 (edited) I think.....I ship Poussey and Soso now. This season has done the impossible for me. I was never a fan of Alex/Piper, but I always liked Piper (I know, but I also like Brooke, so maybe I just enjoy the out of touch characters trying their hardest to fit in) and could not stand Alex. Even though I think Laura Prepon is not a great actress, I feel really bad for her now. I prefer the characters who kind of stay on their own and don't get caught up in all of the posturing, and Piper irritated the hell out of me with all of her badass panty selling Godfather crap. I liked her better when she was a lone wolf last season and shared more scenes with Red. The character works better with more mature characters. It also made me sympathetic to Black Cindy, and I never thought that would happen last season. And I love the Pennsatucky/Boo friendship. And now I am genuinely worried for Maritza. Looking forward to season four, with the addition of the new prisoners. I like the idea of a storyline that encompasses the whole prison. Edited June 13, 2015 by Janet Snakehole 8 Link to comment
elzin June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 I cried at the miracle. It was so beautiful to see (almost) everyone happy for a few minutes. I liked the season a lot. I don't like Laura Prepon, but Alex is probably my favorite character of hers with that low bar. I definitely didn't like Piper and Alex together, and I'll bet they'll reunite next year.' I loved how Useless Luschek saw them all running and turned around and went back inside electrical to hide. So in-character. I know I'm in the minority, but I did miss Larry and Polly. While I don't think the show has to be Chapman's story, she was our window into it so I usually like her parts. 3 Link to comment

rozen June 14, 2015 Share June 14, 2015 (edited) Huh, I actually ended up really liking Piper's arc after all. She seems awful lot like a proto-Red, I can see her having several enemies sent off to max for messing with her bills. And like Red, she's surrounded by family members who apparently don't have the brains to do anything other than leech them dry. I'm absolutely disgusted her brother and his wife decided to rip off a jobless, prospectless woman in prison because they couldn't think of any other cash flow solution to moving out of his parent's mansion. And Piper effectively used her guard connections, those younger COs were having a total ball pulling all sorts of illegal stuff out of every nook and cranny of Stella's space. Tucky is safe now, but only puts another victim in her place. Boo should have tried to position herself to take the job before Tucky faked epilepsy. I somehow find it unbelievable that Cesar's family is not well-practiced for Fed raids. The minute a well-spoken white dude was at the door, that girl should have been gone. And where was Cesar trying to go while still holding Daya's baby? Was he gonna pole vault building to building with her strapped to his chest? I guess I do slightly admire his commitment to family, he could have just ran and let the kids slow the cops down, but instead he kept fighting them when they laid hands on the kids. Morello finally found her equal in the crazy. I'm a little afraid what happens when she gets out, as neither of them appear to have sanity anchors (dammit, Nicky). Poor Soso. I hope the black girls officially adopt her, I think it's the best placement for her. Edited June 14, 2015 by rozen 9 Link to comment
Squirrely June 14, 2015 Share June 14, 2015 (edited) Wow, I really thought Bennett was going to come back. I should've known better. I'm surprised at how emotional I felt when Cesar's place got raided. He's a POS and those kids are probably (hopefully?) better off in foster care but it still ripped at my heart strings. Joe is a moron. He of all people would know better than to let all of his seasoned guards walk out on any day, let alone on a day busloads of new inmates ate showing. The lake scene was enjoyable, seeing the inmates enjoy a little freedom, but seriously, they would have that yard locked off if a fence was being repaired. That was all a little too contrived for me. I don't care that it's supposed to be believable because the guards were missing, and bunks were being installed, etc, etc. Joe acted stupidly, but he'd never let that shit storm take place. He'd have kicked out work crews and put the place on lock down, or something logical. I just can't imagine any type of company doing prison work can just pull up and get to work without checking in and having approval to start, especially with something as vitally important as the fence! Give me a break. I've never hated Piper with the vehemence that so many do, so I'm just rolling along with her story. I find the mob boss Pipes to be interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes. I couldn't care less if Alex makes it out of that shed alive. They already massacred her character this season. Edited June 14, 2015 by Squirrely 2 Link to comment
Chaos Theory June 14, 2015 Share June 14, 2015 (edited) Damn Chapman! Thats some stone cold shit. I like Piper and I know a lot of people don't but I am also glad that the show has become more of an ensemble. However Piper's downward spiral is the thing that interests me most. Her arc this season and for the entire show is like her brother said Walter Whiteish. This is not the same Piper that entered prison. I loved all the conflicting story lines. The prison going from Public to Private and how it ended up affecting everyone. I loved the Norma religion storyline. And I loved Piper and her panties. They all worked for me. That massive influx of prisoners is going to change the dynamics of the prison a lot next season. 4 Link to comment
90PercentGravity June 14, 2015 Share June 14, 2015 I'm a bit torn on Healy and Healy.Red. I liked Healy in the beginning, but the more it goes on the more it feels like he's a really dangerous misogynist. Arthur Chu wrote a great op-ed that everyone should read Your Princess Is in Another Castle: Misogyny, Entitlement, and Nerds. Healy totally comes off as this kind of guy. The guy who thinks because he's a "nice" guy, he deserves all the pussy he wants. The guy who gets angry that he won the game but didn't get the prize. The problem is, I don't know if he's supposed to come off like that, or if we're supposed to think he is a nice guy with some fucked up ideas, but not necessarily a dangerous guy or an actual misogynist or racist. 7 Link to comment

abelard June 15, 2015 Share June 15, 2015 I loved this season, but I always get so angry at Healey and at Aleida (Daya's mom). Every time I see them, they display more and more that they are The. Worst. at what they do. Healey is the worst prison counselor and Aleida is the worst mom, even if she and Daya made peace this season. Aleida makes one bad decision after ten billion. Ugh. I really enjoyed that several characters I despised or just disliked last season or in S1 (Piper, Cindy, SoSo) got great writing and storylines this season, and now I am fully on board with their arcs and can't wait to see what happens to them in S3. Red, probably my favorite, had another great season, as did Crazy Eyes and Poussey. It bummed me out a little bit that Taystee didn't get more to do. But she was practically the lead in S2 so I didn't mind that the other characters got the spotlight more. 1 Link to comment
smrou June 15, 2015 Share June 15, 2015 I'm all about Poussey/Soso. I don't know how I didn't see that match coming since both of them had season-long arcs about being sooooooo lonely and wanting love/friendship, but I am totally on board with it. Though I wonder if, once she finds some happiness again, Soso goes back to being her annoying self from season 2. 3 Link to comment
stopeslite June 15, 2015 Share June 15, 2015 I really liked the season. I especially liked the storyline about the private corp. taking over the prison, and Birbiglia sold that part so well I wanted to punch him in the face every time he was on screen. That's exactly what's happening and how in a lot of arenas, and it's awful, and they showed it well. Joe is a moron. He of all people would know better than to let all of his seasoned guards walk out on any day, let alone on a day busloads of new inmates ate showing. Was there anything that said he knew all the new inmates were coming? They've clearly left him in the dark the entire time; a promotion wouldn't necessarily get him any better intel. What he should have done was accept the promotion only on the condition that the senior guards get rehired full time, and used safety as the way to do it - he would have had the inside line right then to tell them what almost happened with the escaped inmate if he hadn't fixed it. After he took the fall for Figg, he should have realized he was about to walk right into making himself a patsy for the previous boss' bad decisions AGAIN, and known how to protect himself. And where was Cesar trying to go while still holding Daya's baby? Was he gonna pole vault building to building with her strapped to his chest? I was so scared he was going to drop her on the floor, or throw her at the DEA agent, to use her as a distraction for him to get out that window. I was actually impressed that he was yelling instructions for the other kids to watch out for her as they were being taken away. So is there any chance the baby ends up with Mrs. Mendez anyway? Does CPS try to connect with next of kin, if so did Daya put Mendez on the birth certificate, or if there was enough press about it, will they figure out this is the prison guard baby? I'm wondering about the mechanics of how they go about sorting out which of those kids go to whom, because they have to figure out legal guardianship somehow even if they're in foster care. I really loved the bits of fanservice touches. Rosa. The screwdriver. Knowing as soon as Morello started in on who she wanted beat up, that we knew it was going to be Christopher and it was. They're not being so great with continuity on the characters themselves (they're all a lot nicer now all of a sudden?) but with the callbacks, nice. 6 Link to comment
pandasauce June 15, 2015 Share June 15, 2015 Ahh where to begin. I really love Healy. It breaks my heart he got has such an ungrateful mail order bride. I do hope Red and Healy go somewhere. As for Morello...I can't believe Christopher never told Vince why she was in prison before or after he beat him up. She is a stalker and an impulsive liar...I am not sure how well her marriage is going to last. But we all know how desperate she has been since the beginning. I am happy the lake scene happened, and all the inmates seemed full of life for once, however, very unbelievable. The yard would have been closed off for the inmates if there was fence repair going on and I think the scene was very dragged out. Don't even get me started about Bennett/Daya. I love Daya and I feel bad for the situation she is in with her family. Her mother is selfish, her step-dad is a moron, her brother's and sister's are poor helpless souls, and the man she thought she loved abandoned her. Where is Bennett? You get your butt back here and take care of your baby! Bennett knew Caesar didn't stand a chance raising that baby properly, but it scared Bennett away because he probably thought he was going to be as crappy as a father and was scared at going at it alone...but how could anyone let their our flesh and blood be put in that situation. At least if Porn-Stache's mom had custody of the baby, it would be well taken care of...until it grows up anyway. She doesn't really seem to have a backbone. I could care less is Alex gets it. She was just as annoying as Piper. I don't care for either of those two characters clearly. They don't really make the show for me. On the flip side...at lease Vee is actually dead! HIP HIP HOORAY! gemini22 June 16, 2015 Share June 16, 2015 Just a small continuity question for everyone. I thought Piper lost the screwdriver in the last episode of season 1 when she was fighting Pennsatucky? I was just wondering how she got it back... Otherwise, I liked this season. I loved the pairing of Soso and Poussey, I hope Soso is accepted by that group. I have a strong suspicion Alex will be fine. Lolly made a point of noting how dangerous that guy with the toothpick was, so I bet she sees him go into the shed and saves Alex somehow. Just idle speculation! I liked Alex this season more than Piper! Piper became sort of rotten - it was a demeanor that didn't feel natural. It felt a little like a godfather parody skit. I think I'm so used to seeing Piper portrayed comically, and I really thing that's Taylor Schilling's wheelhouse - comedy and things that require comic timing. She can do intensity when she is reacting to host of stressful situations, but to lashing out as a big bad felt kind of silly to me. I also really enjoyed Norma's backstory - I never would have guessed a stutter! 1 Link to comment
Cranberry June 16, 2015 Share June 16, 2015 I liked Norma's backstory, too, and the stutter made total sense, especially considering the only time we've heard words come out of her mouth is when she was singing at the Christmas pageant in the season one finale. Stuttering is vastly reduced (or not present at all) when a person sings. 4 Link to comment

Daisy June 16, 2015 Share June 16, 2015 The panties storyline was ridiculous. There's a shot of the guard assisting them, sticking a bag of them in the front of his pants. It looked like a pregnant gut - and they show him just strolling out of the prison like that. No one noticed or asked about his Beyonce Pillow Baby? Bennett had to go through hoops to get stuff in and out of his fake leg in season one. (Edit: Was it season one? When he was pressured into smuggling contraband by those who knew of his relationship with Daya. In any case, it was supposed to be a bit more difficult. Even if MCC cut body checks of guards, no one could have failed to notice this guard had a bag of something down the front of his pants.) Given the quantity we were supposed to believe they were making, I don't buy that no one in charge noticed at least one seamstress wasn't hitting her mandated quota. MCC was into micromanagement and number crunching. And that Cal had invested in (and designed) specialty packaging and labels - another big no. Those sorts of details - again, in a timeline where we only move a couple of months from E01 to E13 - completely take a viewer out of the moment. Piper realised that if they squished it a bit closer together you had a enough fabric to get 1 extra panty. the Whispers guy said just do what you're supposed to do. so they're actually taking the extra fabric and making the extra panties that way now. my thing would be... are we supposed to believe they ALL can sew that fast + have time to get 1 extra panty per session? 2 Link to comment
SaveLevi June 16, 2015 Share June 16, 2015 I loved this season, and this episode was very, very good. I got super emotional during the last 20 minutes or so. Very cool to see everyone happy, just for a little while. I'm with those who aren't overly invested in Piper's storyline...but participating in the kind of activity she is at least provides the writers with an option for tacking more time onto her sentence. Although frankly, if Taylor Schilling didn't return, I'd really have no problems with it. I also find Laura Prepon to be an awful actress, and her character is just kind of there this season. I was shocked at how easily Alex forgave Piper for getting her violated and was sure that would come back at some point, but it really just didn't. Whatever. Snore. The two of these characters can really be written off, I think, without much being lost, although I doubt that will happen. I'm glad Laverne Cox has something more edgy to do. I hope that continues next season. Agree that Boo and Tucky are a real treat. The actors have great chemistry. I just LOVE Boo in general. Always enjoy Poussey and Tastee, love Cindy, didn't really get into Red/Healy this season, but still infinitely more watchable than Piper/Alex drama. I keep reading that Ruby Rose is the breakout star of the season, but I didn't particularly find Stella all that exciting. Caputo is a great, sympathetic character despite his childish tendencies. I have no doubt he'll be back in teddy bear mode quickly next season. As much as I like Natasha Lyonne, after the second or so episode without Nicky, I kind of forgot about her. That's the great thing about an ensemble cast, though. There's some much to wrap your arms around and it's rare that there's lack of material. Greatly looking forward to S4. 6 Link to comment

After the tension of the rivalry last season between V and Red, I really liked that this season was more about the relationships they have with each other. Stella was a big yawn for me once i realized she wasn't killing Alex. I really thought that Lori Petty was the assassin...playing crazy to get Alex to let her guard down. I've been wrong before. .haha Boo and Tucky were my fave new BFFs.LOVED their back and forth. I don't like Piper but her brother really cracks me up. .the typical fuck up lil brother. Could care less if Alex is dead. .hope she is actually. Hope Lornas new hubs is as batshit crazy as she is! Gloria is likely my new favourite character this season. Unfortunately i missed how she went to prison and couldn't figure out how to adjust my captioning on my roku so totally missed her backstory. She has a lot of depth tho and looking forward to her scenes with Sophia next year. I like Caputo and think the scenes and dialogue with Fig are a hoot! I cried watching the Black Cindy scenes. I liked the water scene. Loved seeing everyone having a brief moment of happiness. I have to wait a whole year???? :( Edited June 17, 2015 by MarysWetBar Link to comment
curlygirl June 17, 2015 Share June 17, 2015 (edited) I never would have thought it possible, but my favorite characters of the season were Black Cindy, Tucky and Boo. Cindy was a surprise for me, but she really got me with her speech about why she truly did want to convert .and not just for the kosher meals. Tucky and Boo have a great friendship, and I loved all their scheming. Piper is a horrible, horrible person. So she went from being all bummed that Stella was leaving to basically ruining her life when she found out that she swiped her cash, and add to that she only stole it because she was freaking out because she was leaving prison with $20 and no one on the outside? She is straight up cuckoo. She has to have some sort of mental illness or personality disorder. Edited June 17, 2015 by curlygirl 9 Link to comment
jellywager June 17, 2015 Share June 17, 2015 (edited) I'm always mad at myself when i binge watch but i can't help it! I have to wait a whole year???? :( Gloria ran a store and her mother did the type of healings and Magic (that Gloria has demonstrated in the kitchen) in the back of the store. One man was mad bc he bought a candle to give him a job and it didn't work. He saw that Gloria had a food stamp scam going on where she took money off of people's cards and didn't put it on her register. She also had a useless boy friend gnat beat her and she would go back to him. Once Gloria decided to get away from him the police came into her store and arrested her. The guy who was upset about the candle not working tipped the police off. The story ends with her no good boyfriend sneaking into her store to steal her food stamps scam cash, but he locks himself in. A bunch of magical candles are burning and he kicks one over and everything goes up in flames.I really like Gloria too. One time she was getting her hair done by Sofia. Sofia asks her if she wants a style that tells people to fuck off and Gloria said she uses her face to do that. I also like how her son cowered when Gloria told him off after he disrespected his grandmother. Edited June 17, 2015 by jellywager 7 Link to comment

Helena Dax June 17, 2015 Share June 17, 2015 Wow, lot of things happened! What Piper did to Stella was cold, but isn't that rule #1 in prison? She was going to lose her business otherwise. No one was going to respect her anymore. And you can't allow that in prison. I didn't like it, just when I didn't like it when Red left her without food at the beginning of the show, but it's the way things are. But now I wonder if show Piper will follow a different path from real Piper and will take the Walter White route. Loved Boo and Dogget together, as usual. They're one of the biggest and greatest suprises of this season. And I guess they'll try to stop Donut guy next season. What happened to Daya's baby is exactly what I thought it'd happen. Daya and Aleida had the chance to do something good for the baby, but they did the selfish thing. Did they really think that moron would never get caught? I'm not sure Soso and Poussey are already a couple, but I'm totally rooting for them. And I'm very glad Soso survived. At the beginning I didn't understand why they weren't calling a guard, but of course, they were trying to save her from something worse. Morello is married! Good for her, I think. This could help her a lot with her delusions, I guess: now she can focus all her energy into someone real. I'm the last person to be touched by religious scenes, but damn, I cried like a baby with Cindy's conversion. It was beautiful. The scene at the lake was gorgeous. I loved to see them so happy. I'm just sorry Sophia missed it. Piper and Alex, not so much. And yeah, I don't really care about Alex's fate, either. This season is very different from s2 and Vee, but I enjoyed it. Can't wait for season 4! 7 Link to comment

See, I think it's going to be a disaster. She married someone who was already having doubts about a relationship with a prisoner. He is going to get tired of this relationship sooner or later, and then she's going to be devastated. 8 Link to comment
Jodithgrace June 17, 2015 Share June 17, 2015 So tell me, are we now supposed to refer to Black Cindy as Jewish Cindy? I think there was a big bad villain this season. MCC. They came in as a savior, and over the course of the season became the enemy. I mean, okay, I know these women are criminals. Most of them are not nice people and there aren't many of them that I would like to hang out with..well, except Red and only if she cooks. But to feed them slop like hogs and deny them books and education and proper medical care..and now to pack them in like sardines. Did you see the "new beds," they were so excited about? Now instead of two women sharing a cubicle, with no privacy, now there will be at least four. I felt so sorry for them. i guess that makes me a bleeding heart "librul." I was so glad they got that moment of freedom in the lake, before the cold reality hits them. I think it's interesting that Piper has taken just a deviation from reality this season. I mean, I don't recall her becoming an criminal mastermind in her book, or did I forget that part? Personally i think she was just bored. If you are intelligent, prison must be absolutely mind numbingly boring. And if your moral compass is slightly askew, like Piper's seems to be, well her new enterprise gives her something to do and think about. I'm sure it will bite her in the butt at some point. But right now she and MCC are riding high. I will be interested to see all of the ramifications of the guards' strike and the overcrowding, next season. I think if we have seen a softening of the women this season, that will soon come to a screeching halt when you double the population and there may be near riot conditions next season, when these women reach their breaking point. I thought it was a very good season, with some genuinely funny moments, and some really sad moments. I didn't dislike Alex, so i hope she escapes her fate, somehow. But alive or dead, i think she will be out of Litchfield next season. i think her arc may be done. 7 Link to comment
runforcover June 17, 2015 Share June 17, 2015 Well, at this point i can only blame myself. The season devolved pretty quickly so the finale comes as no surprise. Thanks for the 14 hour class on identity discourse, Netflix. I'm out. 3 Link to comment
Helena Dax June 17, 2015 Share June 17, 2015 I hope the guy (and his friends) get arrested for assaulting Christopher and Morello never sees him again because he's behind bars. Honestly, I could not get behind her having a "happy" ending because it was tied to her continuing to terrorize Christopher. Morello is dangerous and I'm kind of surprised people seem to forget her victim in favor of liking her. I have a hard time believing if the genders were reversed, we'd be happy that a male Morello "found love" behind bars while continuing to be a very real threat to the woman he stalked. Well, if it comes to that, most of these women are criminals. Some of them have murdered people, some of them were dealing with drugs, the kind of drugs that kill people... And we root for most of them anyway and we want them to be happy. 1 Link to comment
Daisy June 17, 2015 Share June 17, 2015 Nah. even though Black Cindy is Jewish, she's still black, ergo. Black Cindy 3 Link to comment
Helena Dax June 17, 2015 Share June 17, 2015 I do not root for someone who, behind bars, has twice attempted to terrorize the victim of the crime for which she has been incarcerated. Very big difference between Morello and the other characters. Yeah, but I don't see Morello as someone who is attacking Christopher because she's evil and wants revenge. She's got mental problems. I'm sorry for Christopher, but I'm sorry for her too. 5 Link to comment

Very big difference between Morello and the other characters. Yeah, I think this is a really good point. Morello used to be my favorite, but this was the last straw for me. I do root for most of the women to one degree or another, but that doesn't mean that I am condoning their previous behavior. I want them to put their lives back together and lead productive lives, not continue to commit crimes. Is there another character who is continuing to perpetrate the same criminal behavior while behind bars? 7 Link to comment
