Note to Maci:  Millions of single parents (1) attend college, (2) hold a job, and (3) make time for their kid's baseball, soccer, etc.

And they don't have the benefit of MTV money or personal appearance fees to keep themselves afloat financially.  So stick your lame excuses for dropping classes up your ass.

I do not believe that Amber and Catelynn were against Farrah's return (based on what we saw last night). I remember Amber specifically saying that she couldn't really judge given what she's been through.

This article (one of many) was written back in March 2014:

According to Us Weekly, the cast of MTV’s Teen Mom is threatening to boycott a planned reboot of the series if producers also bring back their controversial castmate.

The idea of another installment of the series came after MTV’s individual catch-up specials on Abraham, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell, which aired last month, were successful.

But Portwood, Lowell and Maci Bookout are allegedly demanding that Abraham not be invited to return, particularly because her new porn career. “They don’t want their kids on a show where someone’s talking about sex toys,” the source tells Us Weekly.

MTV producers are reportedly taking the girls’ request into serious consideration.

Any scene with Farrah just grates on my nerves. She's so socially inept every interaction is cringe worthy. Add on top of that the Kourtney Kardashian nasal, monotone, valley girl voice, then ending every sentence with "soooo....."

Maci's house looks like it's right next to the highway, what a dump.

I'm sorry, but Matt's "What's an after-show?" is a bunch of bs. This, coming from a guy that cyber-stalked the TMs for years has watched a helluva lot of TM and after-shows.

LOL @ the idea that Maci is so concerned about being confused with the "porn girl" when she has had how many guys under her roof? I am not laughing at anyone here. Just the way Maci is sooooo concerned about some image that she herself, has built up inside of her head. The reality is, she has a questionable reputation. She is the one who is going around lecturing people about using protection to avoid pregnancy while she uses the "oops" method in order to snag a lifetime partner.

There is no way anyone would confuse Maci with Farrah. People who watch the show, know who Farrah is. Even if they don't watch, but are familiar with the show, know who Farrah is. I never watched Jersey Shore, but I could tell you who Snooki was, and not get her confused with any of the other girls on the show simply because of her reputation.

If it was about the parents, Maci would say so, but she isn't. She is using her child because in her mind, it gives her so-called reason, some validity. Just like the politicians who pick up the little children to make themselves look good and forthright.

So, how does removing Bentley from the show accomplish this? Maci is still on the show with the porn girl? Maci has been on this show since 2009. That is six years of Maci acting a fool on this show. I think people can differentiate between the girl with the massive forehead who is now promoting her MILF lipstick versus the girl who did porn.

Maci stayed with the show because of $$$$.

Yet, they ate pizza how many times during that NYC promotion?

How about a petition to get rid of the entire TM franchise?

I would much rather people think I'm the one who "did porn" than for people to think I'm the druggie who lost custody of her child, abused the child's father and went to prison.

But that's just me.

I used to really like Maci. After watching her 16 and Pregnant episode I thought she was really mature and had her shit together. Damn was I ever wrong.

I'm disliking her more and more every time she opens her mouth. Her going on and on about Farrah while being fine with Amber just really rubs me the wrong way.

Farrah is an awful, vile, and disrespectful bitch, but I was on her side this episode as far as Maci goes. I just can't stand Maci. She is so full of shit. I wish someone would remind her that she's on baby #2 with baby daddy #2, and is running around giving safe sex speeches, while openly admitting that she wasn't using any protection, and of course, her lazy ass still hasn't completed her 2 year associates degree when she's had six damn years. She has no room to be judging anyone. I can't believe that she's so worried about Farrah's porn, which she has brought up way more than Farrah has, when she needs to be worried about the kindergarten parental gossip surrounding her own life. I would wager that Bentley's friends are more likely to overhear gossip about his own mama, rather than Farrah. Maci may be used to young girls and her twitter fans viewing her as some great role model, but in reality, she's a hot mess.

I never thought it'd be Matt that I agreed with so much but he hit the nail right on the head, Farrah is unapologetically mean. She doesn't care that she hurts people because she seems to truly believe that's what they deserve for not having the exact same views as her. What pisses me off is that I want to root for Farrah. I felt bad for her during 16&P and TM because her family was clearly dysfunctional and she never should have been forced to have a child she didn't want, but even after she distanced herself she was still a rude little asshole. I also hate the stigma that surrounds sex workers (especially when the stigma rarely extends as harshly to those who watch porn/see strippers) but it makes me see red when she tried to act like everyone else is prude and/or uncultured for having a problem with her porn when she's basically in the same boat as them by still trying to pass it off as a leaked sex tape.

I think what pissed me off so much about Farrah this episode is that she clearly thinks she's the smartest person in the room but she has continually shown herself to be embarrassingly stupid. Her boyfriend obviously doesn't want to marry her, seems to take great joy in making her uncomfortable and doubtful of their relationship and never tells her he loves her back. The whole deep sigh, head tilt, eye roll, "I'm-so-over-this" nonchalant act became pretty transparent about halfway through middle school. Especially when you keep bringing up what you're allegedly not mad about. And she left the door wide open with her "she must need the money" remark. Sort of the like how you must have needed the money that you got from the porn, the sex toys, the club appearances, Couples Therapy and, oh yeah, the show you're now currently on too? If she was half as smart as she thought she was, she'd stay quiet and let Maci dig her own grave but I'll be damned if that girl ain't as dim as the day is long.

But then who would I watch to feel superior about my life choices, relationships, and parenting? ;)

And not to mention all of the fun I have partaking in the snark here with you all.

I kind of agree, though....this franchise is coming to its natural end- or at least it is for the original girls. I have a feeling the next season of TM2 is going to be train-wreck-taculous.

Instead of Mom vs. Mom they should have called this episode Idiot vs.Idiot. If Maci is going to take this big, powerful stand and "quit" the show then she shouldn't hide and shrink away from Farrah. Pick a lane, lady! And Farrah actually had a chance to shut Maci's dumb reasoning down, but squanders it by being a giant asshole. She does exactly the wrong thing by being so defensive even though she was in the right!

I really don't like Farrah for all the reasons mentioned but in this episode her hurt feelings were so apparent that every time she tried to cover them by being defensive (like that scene where she was confronted  with the footage of Maci quitting) it made me cringe. Just say you're hurt! Maybe people will feel sorry for you and sympathize a bit.

I hope these MTV producers take a good, hard look at their lives. Basically, their job is to manipulate unsophisticated young women into nonsensical, shit stirring arguments. It's a little shameful. Well, I guess it creates jobs.

You forgot 4) Getting paid to give seminars on using protection while not doing so herself.

This is the one thing that I don't get. You go around to high schools, I assume, and get paid to talk about why it's hard to be a teen/single mom or whatever, and then you do it again?? I also think that Maci 100% got pregnant on purpose hoping that the beard guy would commit. And while I'm thinking about it, what happened to the nice place she used to live in? I'm saying nice because her current place seems like any other low rent just above a shack house.

Why don't we see these people doing something other than posting up on a bed, couch or recliner during their at home shots? Or maybe we are and I have just forgotten it? The exception is Farrah, who seems to travel a lot.

Okay. I specifically said I based my opinion on what I saw last night. I didn't look for info beyond that.

I think Maci blew all of her money on renting places, cars, partying, tattoos, etc. Ryan's dad made the comment that people thought that show would last a lot longer than it did and that seemed to piss Ryan off. So it seems like the pissed away money was something that was discussed possibly.

Maci seems to not know how to act when someone is flat out calling her out on her nonsense. So far we have only seen Ryan pop off me call her an asshole. or something. She has no idea how to react when someone asks her to explain her sanctimonious bitching. I think the bottom line is that Maci is a controlling bitch who likes to run shit. This kind of stuff is exactly why Ryan can't stand being around her.

But you really can't make any assertions about these girls' character or motives based on what they said in one episode. All these girls are notorious for saying or doing something that contradicts something they said earlier or through another medium.

I think Cate, Tyler, and Amber were being pragmatic when they shrugged off Farrah's return. They may not have wanted her there, but by the time it was brought to their attention, it was a done deal, Farrah was coming back, and they all knew none of them were going anywhere, so to make a big stink about something they couldn't control and weren't going to do anything about would have just made them look foolish (ahem, Maci).

But the original quote was about their feelings about Farrah returning in general, not just what they indicated on the show. I'm saying, it is not accurate to say that just because they didn't pitch a fit like Maci, doesn't mean they weren't against it.

I hope this show moves on to another topic other than Maci/Farrah.  As the discussion will become more interesting then as well.  It just feels like all there is to say is the same thing over and over. Nothing against anyone here, as you can only discuss what is shown on the show, and unfortunately that is the Maci/Farrah showdown.

That said, I find Maci harmless, and probably one of the better moms in terms of not doing drugs, not doing porn, not doing much of anything to cause a big fuss.  Though that may be boring I prefer it over someone like Farrah or Jenelle (TM II).  I think Bentley is much better off because of it as well.

I also think they are minimizing Catelynn and Amber's reactions to Farrah to make Maci look worse.  As they totally didn't show the scene about Amber being bothered by what Farrah put on Twitter on the actual aftershow.  In the recent episode it is clear it was much more strained than they what they edited for the show.

I have never been pregnant so I don't know.  Tyler suggested Catelyn go shop at a maternity store for a dress for the taping in New York.  Do many women continue to buy maternity clothes after they have the baby or is Tyler just an idiot?

I still wore maternity clothes for several months after my babies were born. Your tummy does not deflate right away, and the empire waste, flowing styles do a nice job of concealing that. I don't think Tyler was an idiot for saying that, but generally he IS an idiot.

From your mouth to God's ears! I'm over it. This isn't Real Housewives. We get enough drama from these girls with their SOs, ex-baby-daddies, or friends that steal their hoodies. I don't need to see the girls battling with each other. Especially over this issue. It's been hashed and rehashed and it's not St. Patrick's day, I'm not in the mood for hash. Let's move along already!

Amber -- I'm kind of amazed at her maturity (granted, it's baby steps but I'll give her credit for it), and for the first time ever I think she's really rather pretty. Her skeevy boyfriend is another story. Re her wine glass -- maybe she subscribes to the Kim Richards brand of sobriety where if her big addiction was to pills, drinking alcohol is okay. In spite of everything, I really want this girl to overcome.

Maci -- yeah, she's on a high horse most of the time, but it did feel like MTV set her up for this dustup with Farrah. And like she knew it was coming from a mile away. Mostly, though, I miss seeing Bentley.

C&T -- I dread the coming weeks' of Tyler nagging Catelyn about her weight. As someone with a lifelong, sort of moderate weight issue -- please, no one has ever had to tell me that I've gained weight or should diet. Believe me, I know. That kind of negativity results in yo-yo dieting in my experience, which is very hard to overcome as you get older.

Farrah -- I actually feel kind of bad for her most of the time, especially with that dumb boyfriend who is clearly not on the same page. She did this the last time, too -- that brief boyfriend from Florida a while back -- pressuring guys who have only been with her briefly to talk about marriage. And I don't see the attraction in either direction. She's so messed up, I wonder how that producer can stand it when she has to film Farrah.

I disagree - I think that's one of the advantages of the show's new format of more producer interaction. I don't think Caitlin or Amber had any qualms about the show returning with Farrah (it was MTV's decision), and their instant reaction (Caitlin laughing, and Amber philosophizing about her own second chance) confirms that, for me, at least.

I hope this show moves on to another topic other than Maci/Farrah.  As the discussion will become more interesting then as well.  It just feels like all there is to say is the same thing over and over. I think they devoted this much time to the topic to serve their own purpose - to address the issue of why Farrah came into the show a few episodes late. They tried to get Farrah to address it during her first episode in, but she did her usual mumbling, started to cry and ran off. As much as I despise her, she was right when she said something to the effect of "explain it yourself....that's your job" to one of the producers.

Farrah is on the defense 100% of the time because she knows everyone knows she lied about the "sex tape". Just like she knows Maci lied about her reasons for not finishing school and her reasons for deciding to un-quit the show.

And the producers are feeding all of us this baloney and pretending they're filming a documentary when they themselves created the drama. Everyone lies!

What I don't like about Farrah is her refusal to do a fair fight, mano a mano. She cuts Maci off because then she gets to have the last word. She can't resist triggering Maci with the "why are you here?" comment. And her jab about Ryan seeing her back door was the one and only time anyone in this episode was seen bringing up the porn. She's clearly proud of it, touting her success that her bleached asshole is coveted in backwater Tennessee. But wait, wasn't she a victim of James Deen? Why isn't she crying foul about that, saying she did the best she could by selling the rights?

I don't think she knows how to navigate all this, so she puts on her best fake bitchiness and thinks this makes her "win".

Farrah has the most awkward and uncomfortable social skills I have ever seen in my life. Gah, that whiny voice, poor grasp of language, and major bitchy attitude - for me everyone wins against her. I didn't see anything wrong with Maci simply saying it is her choice, but Farrah was one step from a childish, "I know you are but what am i?!". Something is so majorly creepy with that family. I almost expect Deborah, Farrah, and Sophia going all grey gardens.

I am with you on this. I hate the stigma as well, but here is Farrah also pointing out that it is some horrible thing to be associated with by lying about her being in a porn. She then goes on to sex toys, which is not porn, but it surely came on the heels of her porn tape, something that wouldn't have happened if it were not for the porn tape.

Sorry but, I have yet to post my input on the matter. I am late to the party, so to speak. I have things I want to comment on and unfortunately, the episode was centered around Maci and Farrah. Thank goodness no talk about Carly this episode and I get to see Amber not sitting on her couch. Besides, without mentioning Farrah and Maci what is left? Amber and Catelynn? Good grief, what a snoozefest. This is one hell of a boring season, which clearly shows that all of the girls are nowhere on their way to no place, with the exception of Farrah.

I don't think Caitlin or Amber had any qualms about the show returning with Farrah (it was MTV's decision)

Has it been clarified, though? I don't think we were given any story or news article to find out how this came about. Was it purely MTV's decision? Could one or all three of the girls have gone to the producers and stated their dismay at Farrah's career choices when the new season was in the talks? Catelynn was pretty smug during an early episode when she was telling April that Farrah wasn't returning to the show. I can see all three girls getting together after one of them (likely Maci) bringing it up when the idea to make another season was in the talks.

I find Maci harmless, and probably one of the better moms in terms of not doing drugs, not doing porn, not doing much of anything to cause a big fuss.

Frankly, I can't judge any mother who does porn. I don't see it as being a factor in whether she is a good mother or not. I will judge Farrah for not being honest about it, but Farrah has never been one to be fully honest about a lot of things. Neither has Maci, Amber or Catelynn. I will judge Maci for having three guys play the father figure to her son, not getting her shit together, not completing school, being a party girl while complaining she can't finish school for six years now, and for being a hypocrite: talking to kids about the trials and tribulations of being a single parent and how hard she has it when she goes out and purposely gets herself in the same situation again, all the while earning six figures a year for each season.

She can't resist triggering Maci with the "why are you here?"

I likely would have asked her the same question. Why is Maci still on the show? From what someone else pointed out, removing Bentley doesn't change squat. Maci is still on the show with Farrah. Maci can cry me a river with her comments about what Bentley's friends think or what they will over hear from their own parents. Does anyone really think Bentley's school mates' parents' are going to confuse Maci's lackluster life with Farrah's career and confuse the two? Does Maci really think people will judge her for what Farrah does simply because they are on the same show? If so, wouldn't the same apply to Amber and Catelynn?

In what world does Maci live in? Does she honestly believe what her co-worker does affects her? They don't even share scenes other than this backstage stuff and the after-shows. If I were to find out my co-worker stripped at night, and was an escort on the weekends, it wouldn't bother me in the least. What someone else does in their life is their choice.

Farrah is a psychopathic narcissist. I think Maci regrets what she said but can't just take it back because it was on camera, and its probably more that she hates Farrah. But then the conversation amongst the group about how their name is associated with the porn because the name of the show is in the title, I get that. Not that porn is such a big deal, but it should be a choice to be involved. Farrah tainted (lol) the whole branding, and I'd bet it's why MTV was ok with not having her back at first (until they realized it was boring). Also, Farrah needs to own up to her adult industry works. She may not be "a porn star" but she filmed a porn (stop calling it at sex tape, it's not), she appears at porn conventions and strip clubs, she has made sex toys of her genitals. She has a house and money because she did these things, and frankly Maci could have the same if she was willing to do it, same with Amber (who brought up the offer she was given). So when she starts throwing "you're in the same place" bullshit around, i really could not give less of a crap because it's just her self delusions, just like how she made a sex tape with her boyfriend.

Farrah never let Maci talk during their "conversation" and just attacked and attacked. What did she expect? Maci may not be 100% in the right but she's definitely got the majority on her side. People calling Maci a mean girl is hilarious only because it's obvious that Farrah is as well, if not more so. I doubt Bentley or his friends ask about Farrah but I would bet Maci gets it from other parents, and it may have gotten to her. I could see some people being rude to her, maybe other baseball moms or moms from school, "Oh yeah you're on that show with the girl from the porn." Most people don't watch the show, but they've more than likely heard about Farrah and her asshole. Also, I think Maci kinda handled it as best you can, because when someone like Farrah comes at you in that way, there is nothing  you can say that will make it any better. Just let her rant and let her think she's super smart and so above it all and the mature one. There is just no point.

I kinda like this more behind the scenes look, seeing them do things related to the show instead of sitting on a couch or eating salad.

I wonder if Farrah knows her relationship is completely fake? She is trying so hard with this guy and it's embarrassing to watch.

To be fair to Farrah, it's not really a sequel. It's a second film made from footage that wasn't included in the first tape.

Because sex tapes have extra footage. Ugh. Just own up Farrah. We all know, quit digging deeper.

Also, commenting again because I just saw the extra footage with Sophia and Farrah talking to some friend. Sophia says that Mommy and her boyfriend kiss in bed and mommy is naked. Farrah calls her weird, and doesn't know where she gets it. So Sophia says she saw a picture. smh.

The real problem with Farrah is that she won't admit she did porn, she keeps lying and saying it's a sex tape with an ex-boyfriend. If she's so comfortable with her choices then why does she lie about them? Maci unfortunately loves to talk smack behind people's backs but can't put up face to face, maybe she should have brought that up instead of running away like a scared kitten.

Her reaction to Farrah coming back was just a tantrum. If I were, as Maci claims to be, deeply concerned about being associated with porn/sex toys/erotic novels/strip clubs, my response would have been to ask MTV for a guarantee in writing that none of Farrah's segments would include any discussion of those topics. I believe in the "Being Farrah" special she talked about her sex toys and books, so it wasn't a stretch for them to think she would do it on Teen Mom as well.

Personally I differentiate Farrah's career from the other bad behavior we've seen - drugs, abuse, lots of baby daddies - in that porn/adult entertainment/etc. is a business for Farrah. When she promotes that stuff through Teen Mom she is actively making $$ for herself. Maci being pregnant by her boyfriend isn't a source of income for her. Neither is Amber talking about her time in prison. Someone has posted that Maci has a lipstick line. I know TM2 Kailyn also has some kind of makeup business, as does Leah. I don't see any of them doing long segments getting to promote those things. So I would be pissed off if Farrah got to come back and mention her sex books and sex toys if the other girls can't talk about their side businesses either.

Simon is SO not into Farrah. Why is she talking about marriage with a guy she is in a long-distance relationship with and only sees when she invites him along to her press and media appearances? Is that in her mind the basis of a lasting lifetime commitment? What an idiot.

When MTV didn't reward your prima donna behavior and one of  the producers said "Don't film Maci, put the cameras down" when you attempted to appear on camera you and your five-head starting jumping around chirping "Oh you can film me!  You can film me!".  Bitch, please.

And I cry complete BS that Bintley's playmates/classmates are asking him "Is your mom the one that filmed the porn?"  Gak.

On the previous page, someone posted a link about this. I didn't read it, but it appeared that the article said something about Cate, Maci, and Amber only agreeing to do another season if Farrah was excluded. I have no idea if that's true. The only thing I remember hearing directly from any of those girls is that Maci gave an interview (this is in 2014) saying that the powers that be felt that Farrah was not sending out the right message with her career endeavors, but that was a production decision and that opinion was not shared by the other teen moms. Maci actually expressed regret that Farrah would not be included. I believe this was during a Teen Mom 2 aftershow from last summer.

I have a hard time believing that a 2014 ultimatum was given by Maci and the others. Maci, maybe, but I just really can't believe Amber and Cate would endanger their MTV paychecks and D list fame over whether or not Farrah returned. The vibe that I get from Cate and Amber is that neither girl likes Farrah, both were happy that she was initially excluded from filming, (because they don't like her) but neither was THAT worked up to hear that she was coming back and neither one was interested in lobbying that hard to get rid of her.

Cate definitely expressed happiness over Farrah being ousted in an early episode this season. That said, when the producers told her Farrah was coming back, she said she thought that would probably happen.

I have not seen anything from Amber within the show filming to judge how she feels about Farrah. Someone else posted another link that suggested Amber was not happy about Farrah returning, but I did not read it. It would surprise me if Amber cared that much, but there's a lot of conflicting stories and I don't know how much of it, or if any of it, is true.

I'm not so worked up about Maci not wanting Farrah on the show. Maci is an idiot. I'm more annoyed with whoever the higher ups (either for Teen Mom, or MTV, or Viacom, or whoever made the final decision) that Farrah was bad for the show, but they continue to film Jenelle on TM2. I don't know how production sleeps at night giving someone like Jenelle a paycheck. At least Amber seems somewhat regretful for her illegal actions.

beesknees:

Oh I can't believe nobody has mentioned this. "Jayde" is an awful name (also, no offense to any Jade/Jayde -- I just don't like the name... I'm sure you're a wonderful person). I hope people talk her out of it.

I think "Jade" is fine.

JaYde (with the unnecessary y) is another story.

As a college instructor, I have to tell you....I have to remind myself not to make assumptions about some students' backgrounds/families based on some of the ridiculous spellings of names I've seen on my class rosters. (I have a colleague who jokes that if a student's name has any extra vowels, it's a give away that he/she was born to a teen mom.)

I have now read several articles that said all three girls didn't want Farrah back, but I've yet to read one with direct quotes from the girls, I've yet to read an actual interview where Catelynn or Amber said as much. My guess is that MTV made the actual decision and the girls (Mostly Maci, maybe Cate to a degree) were happy about it, so they used the girls as their reason. But going by what we've seen on the show, only Maci seemed really bothered by her coming back. I think Cate has/had issues with her and was probably happy if she wasn't coming back, but wasn't going to bother getting all worked up if she did. She realizes this story was about all of them, and understands keeping it "fair". And I really, truly believe Amber sees the hypocrisy of excluding Farrah but filming her. I think Amber actually tried being inclusive and supportive of Farrah, but Farrah is too much of a bitch to let that happen.

She turned around and insulted Amber with the comment about how her daughter isn't on the cover of her book, and Amber had nothing mean to say about Farrah. Catelynn too. This is what makes Farrah an asshole.

When was the wine glass incident? I watched the episode, but I honestly have no memory about it even happening, let alone what was in the glass. Can some give me some specifics about which sceen it was so I can go back and re-watch? I don't think I can manage to stay awake through the entire episode again.

I don't like the name anyway (but it's not my baby so oh well) but I agree, the unnecessary Y is what really breaks it for me. It's not cute.

And what's sad is that Maci isn't even considered a teen mom anymore. She's just a young mom who is adding extra letters for no reason.

Ughhh, I just don't like Maci.

Cate is probably one of the least offensive of the TMs, but watching that girl eat makes me almost lose my dinner. She's so gross when she eats.

Watching the preview for next week and seeing Tyler getting onto Cate about dieting for the wedding makes me want to throw a shoe at him. Get it through your skull, Ty, Catelynn isn't half as bothered by her weight as you are. I don't think it's okay, and she's setting a bad example for her daughter, but Cate ain't gonna do a whole lot about it. If she wasn't willing to do it while she was pregnant with gestational diabetes, what makes you think she's gonna be all into now?? If she can manage to take off even 15 lbs I think she'll be happy with that. What an ass -- you're no prize, Tyler.

For fucks sake, the girl JUST had a baby!  When are people going to lay off her about her weight??  Nova was maybe a month old when they went to NYC.  She's just adjusting to having a newborn, probably SEVERELY sleep deprived and I'm sure the last thing on her mind is losing the baby weight.  I had a baby around the same time she did and have JUST started making efforts to lose the weight.  Tyler's not the only one that needs to back the fuck off Catelyn.  It's "not okay"?  Give  me a break.  Jesus.

I'm also going to guess that 15 pounds is a huge amount of weight on her frame. I think Cait is only about 5'2" and for all the talk about her own personal obesity epidemic, I think she actually gained about 25 pounds during the pregnancy. 15 would be a good amount of weight for her to loose.

Amber is holding a glass in the scene where they are sitting on a couch, I believe, and they are eating. Cate is also shown holding a wine glass. To be honest, the episode is somewhat of a blur to me now. I can't tell you where the scene happens within the hour.

Amen. This is why I just can't with the whole TM franchise. There should be no finger-pointing by anyone on this show about any cast member. The higher-ups want the ratings and they know by having the Farrahs and the Jenelles, they will get what it is they want. In the end, it is MTV, not Discovery Channel. MTV has had a shitload of crazy people for years on their reality shows. This show may have started out with the idea that it was supposed to help give teens awareness about teen motherhood, but one can surely see that is not at all the case and it never was once the big paychecks were doled out.

The idea that Farrah's "Backdoor Team Mom" stains the franchise is such a friggin joke, I just can't. What stains and mars the franchise, are the producers themselves for continuing this show and paying people, like Jenelle, to be on it.

Do people really believe the teen pregnancy rate is going down because of this show? I call bullshit. That is MTV putting that info out there or, there are some people who are getting something in return for siding with this show on that stance. If anything, this show has shown me just how clueless young girls and guys are about relationships, parenthood, getting an education, and how children are being raised by these asswipes.  This show has become an insight into watching young people with  addiction issues, domestic violence issues, mental issues, control issues, trust issues, all the while they are being paid and turned into "celebs", spokespeople, total wrecks who are being looked up to by young people.

Whoa, calm down. If anything, I'm defending Cate against her idiot fiancé who continues to pressure her to diet. She's not motivated by him, she's shown she's less concerned with her weight than he is. Re-read my post, I didn't say that Cate should be dieting down immediately after giving birth and I stand by what I posted.

I get that. And while I hate that someone likes Jenelle gets a paycheck, I understand that she provides ratings, MTV is making money off of her trainwreck life, and she needs to be compensated for that. What just aggravates me no end is that they haven't said boo about a woman who has been arrested for drug possession multiple times, has physically assaulted someone on camera- more than once-, has abandoned her child, and yet they wanted to bring down the hammer on someone who was involved in porn? And THAT was crossing the line of good taste?

I guess what did I expect from Viacom. This is the same company that when a female reality contestant accused another contestant of rape while on MTV's watch, Viacom's official statement was that whether or not the woman was raped wasn't their responsibility because she was basically a big slut who couldn't keep her clothes on.

See, this is why I have a gut feeling it wasn't MTV who had this sudden jerk of morality. It had to be at least one of the girls going to them with their feelings. Then, MTV sat with the girls individually, and asked them about removing Farrah from the show. I could see Catelynn going along with it simply because she doesn't like Farrah. Having the porn angle as an excuse, gave her a legit reason to go along with it.

What MTV appears to be telling us, the viewers is, Maci didn't want Farrah around, they went with it and she signed on believing Farrah wouldn't be part of the show. Not once has Maci said, "MTV  approached us about not having Farrah on the show." Not even when it could have benefited her during that verbal smackdown in NYC when Farrah asked her about this whole thing, never did Maci ever utter the words, "It was MTV's idea. They told me about not wanting you back on the show and I went with it."

Also, I cannot see MTV changing a whole show because of one person (Maci) unless they had the acknowledgement of the other two. How can one person have so much pull on who should be on the show and who shouldn't be? If Cate and Amber didn't have issues with Farrah, wouldn't it make more sense to remove Maci and keep Farrah? Of course Cate and Amber don't like Farrah for their own reasons, but those reasons are not enough to keep Farrah off the show - Amber had twitter-gate with Farrah and Cate had the Couples Therapy showdown where they both pointed fingers at each other.

Now that MTV has Farrah back, it sure doesn't sound like it was them that took issue with the whole "Back Door Teen Mom" matter.

It's at right around the :50 minute mark (actually closer to :53 according to my DVR - give or take a minute) - so roughly 10 minutes before the end. You first see it when they start digging into the pizza. There's a close up of the pizza and then them picking up slices, and Amber's in the background with it. You see again another minute or two later, same scene.

No, you only said you're disgusted at the way she eats and that you "don't think it's okay" and that Cate clearly doesn't care about her weight and that she's setting a bad example for her daughter. I can see how you were defending her.  Having a baby is crazy stressful, in the early days you're totally in survival mode.  I couldn't imagine travelling out of state with my newborn and doing press tours when she was that little.  The LAST thing on my mind would've been dieting.  And that's okay.  The amount of attention put on her weight in these forums is a little disturbing, frankly.  It's not like she's a couple of episodes away from "My 600 pound life."  As someone mentioned above, she's got a small frame so ANY amount of extra weight is going to be noticeable.  She's probably no more than 30 pounds overweight.

The teen pregnancy rate is down due to safe sex education. I will admit that teen mom is a good lesson to my own teens. Even if you love him or her at 16, that doesn't mean he or she is father or mother material. When you create a child with someone you're with them for life. Imagine having a child with someone like Ryan or Jenelle. Even if you hate them you're with them forever. My teens learn a valuable lesson on what not to do. My daughter always makes comments about Chelsea and how she always has to deal with him. Or how Aubrey has a shitty dad. Edited by Darknight

FWIW I guess I read this comment totally differently than others have. I thought you meant because of her smacking her lips or chomping with her mouth open or something like that. I haven't noticed her doing this, but she may. I know that's something that completely grosses my husband out that I don't even notice at all if someone at the table is doing it. I didn't even take it as a weight related comment.
