What? I had surgery at a Catholic hospital. Not only did I have a Crucifix on the wall in my room, I had someone come in to pray with me and give me Communion on Sunday. Easter week is a BIG deal for us. I drove by the church on my way  home last night and it was packed.

And that meal was nowhere nearly enough food for the number of people at the dinner (the Rod family plus several other adults), yet she displayed the table with pride. Who among us would have posed with that disaster and put the photo  online? Jill's mind is a true mystery.

I would have supplemented the yellow with some Chinese takeout or sent Hunk to the deli and kept the burnt ham for the few sandwiches it would have made the next day. I really have no words for that pineapple.

I've worked in several Catholic hospitals in a couple different cities and Easter was observed in all of them.  It wasn't a paid holiday, but there were services in the chapel and special meals available in the cafeteria and for patients.  In one of them, every patient got a card signed by the hospital CEO commemorating the holiday along with some Easter candies if they were allowed.

Easter is always on a Sunday so its not a Federal holiday, so it doesn't have to be offered as a holiday. Most businesses close on Easter with the exception or emergency services, 24 hour services and of course hospitals.

Long post by Jill, so I’m using the spoiler…..My title for it, I Sat On My Toilet.

About eight years ago, I sat on my toilet, 🤪 looking at the paperwork to join Mary Kay makeup as a representative.  Our family had been in full time ministry for about 5 years and it was taking its toll on us financially.  😢 

There was a lady that had approached me at a church we traveled to, to sing at and present our ministry there.  She told me about Mary Kay makeup and asked me to join her team. I prayed and thought a LOT about it.  I mean, I was a licensed cosmetologist, and makeup would be "right up my alley".  But alas, no matter how much I thought and prayed about it, I could not get peace from God to pursue it.  One day, I even picked up my phone and called my friend to ask her about it, but she was gone on vacation.  This gave me more confirmation it wasn't God's will.  

As much as I enjoy putting on makeup, it is a vain thing and I couldn't imagine myself actively promoting it.  So, I shelfed the idea and went on with life.  😊  A few months later, my "sister in law" reached out to me, asking me about joining Plexus.  Now this was something I could get behind.  Why?  Because when people are sick, they struggle to serve God, their families, their friends, their church, etc.  Bad health cripples us from living full and active lives for the cause of Christ.  

I was excited,  but sought to seek my husband's approval.  He had always been hesitant for me to get a job outside my already VERY busy life!  I honestly didn't know if he would give his blessing.....but I wouldn't pursue this without it. 😉  

I went down into his print shop and asked him if he would allow me to give Plexus a try......not only for the business side of it, but to help me lose a bit of weight and to have more energy to keep up with the many demands of my busy life.  Also, both of my grandmothers had died from diabetic complications.   I wanted to be pro-active in helping me NOT to follow in their foot steps.  I also had gut issues and low energy.  I wanted something to help me be the BEST version of me!  😁

After I asked my husband, he said, "Yes, you may try it.  That sounds like a good fit for you."  He also added, "I will purchase your FIRST month's worth of products, but after that, you are on your own!"  Whoo-Hoo !  I was so excited!   So, I went up, ordered the products for myself and joined!  It was a HUGE step of faith, but I was excited!  

David kept his word and bought the first month's supply of supplements for me, and since the second month (this was 7 ¹/² Years ago)  I (from my Plexus paycheck each month) have purchased my OWN products!  🫠🤗🙂

Not only does it pay for all of my supplements, it pays for Christmas, birthdays, our vacations, and SO many other things.  It helps "fill the gaps", since money is tight being in full time ministry.  😉  What a blessing Plexus has been!  I absolutely LOVE that this is a company I can FULLY get behind.  Their products are natural and put together in a premium, high-quality way!  🥰  There are MANY Christians in our company!  😄  I would NOT have peace partnering with a company that was not run with integrity and trust.  Plexus does!  They have blessed me and my family in so many ways!  ❤️ 

Just this past February, they sent my husband and I on a all-inclusive paid trip to Punta Cana, DM.  It was GORGEOUS!  😊

Not only has the extra income been a HUGE blessing, but I LOVE that this feels like (and is) an extension of our ministry.  I pour into my team on a daily basis.  I pray for them.  I encourage them.  I love them.  I counsel them.  We are best friends......outside my family, of course.  This has given me more daily purpose and focus.  It has blessed me with a community and network of DEAR friends I only drempt was possible.  It is an active way to serve my sweet Jesus and others.  

I am blessed.  This journey has also helped me grow in SO many ways spiritually.  This is a journey that fills me with SO many blessings that others cannot possibly understand, unless they have experienced it themselves.  

Will YOU experience this with me?  I am always looking for others to join me!  There is ALWAYS room at our table for one more!  🥰

When you're writing dialogue, Jill, please use contractions. David sounds like a robot in an old sci-fi movie. OK. Maybe he really does talk this way, but I kind of doubt it. 

So David shelled out for a month of Plexus? That's about two hundred dollars. Jill must have filled his mind with promises of lots of new income and much less time in the print shop. I hate to think what was sacrificed to come up with that money.

Even though I wear a pound of expertly applied makeup everyday because I'm a licensed cosmetologist, God didn't want me to sell makeup because it's a vain thing to promote (except to my daughters).

I approached my husband, who was toiling away, as usual, in our home print shop, to ask his permission. 

I didn't want to sell Plexus just because we desperately needed the money since David quit his full-time job and I kept having babies, I just wanted to lose weight, have more energy, fix my gut problems, and outlive my diabetic grandmothers. I wouldn't have taken this job just for money. 

David paid for the first Plexus order (by not giving me grocery money), but by the second order, I had made so much money, I could pay by myself.

God doesn't like sick people because they can't serve him. 

Dave and I get dinners out, shopping sprees, and luxury vacations. We wouldn't have all that good stuff without Plexus. We spend the Plexus money on ourselves and use government aid and grifting for the kids. 

Since I always tell the truth and do everything the Bible says, I couldn't work for a company that didn't have the same values. Plexus, Inc. and I are alike in so very many ways. 

I pray a lot for my downline of six. I pray that they'll meet sales quotas and recruit other suckers. That's the only way I can afford my monthly purchases and have a some left over. Mostly, I earn points, and it takes a lot of points to get anything. 

Plexus has made me closer to Jesus than anything else I've ever done. It's my ministry. Jesus loves to see me shilling overpriced creams and vitamin drinks to struggling families, so I simply glow with holy radiance.

By joining my down line, you can bask in God's love just as I have. Since Plexus is an MLM, I'll benefit from your work, and I'll glow even more.
