mtlchick February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 Dear God show, why are you wasting minutes on De Niro? This is even more painful in front of a room of his peers. 4 Link to comment
bmoore4026 February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 God, SNL really has formed a lot of our image of New York. Don't know if that's a good thing or bad one, but.... 1 Link to comment
Galileo908 February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 Loved that NYC clip reel. The first ep after 9/11 was the first one I ever watched live, it was a great opening. The "Freaking Giuliani" sketch was a great one. 4 Link to comment
WendyCR72 February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 Liked the little "I Love NY" love letter. 4 Link to comment

Ms Blue Jay February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 On the red carpet Giuliani made it 110% clear that he didn't write the clever lines he said in the post-9/11 show. I'm sorry but as if that had to be clarified. 1 Link to comment
helenamonster February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 I absolutely loved seeing the auditions. Gilda was so precious. It's a damn shame she's not here for this. It always weirds me out how Robert DeNiro, one of the greatest actors of all time, constantly stumbles over himself on this show. Not gonna lie, the New York montage got me all choked up, probably more for personal reasons. I grew up in Pennsylvania (one town over from Upper Darby, where Tina Fey is from) and I dreamed of being able to live in NYC, and watching SNL every week just made me want to live there more. And now I do live here. Not only that, but I've gotten to see an SNL dress rehearsal, which wouldn't have been possible if I didn't live here. 7 Link to comment
jjj February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 I think it was funny that we saw Phil talk about doing impressions, but never actually saw him do any. Presidential impression? Link to comment
ebk57 February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 Okay, I've gone with laundry...and wine. Dinner will have to wait. I can't add anything more substantive about the NY piece, except that it was stunning. Link to comment
kib February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 I really want Brian Williams to pop up somewhere. Come on, SNL, prove you're still edgy! Yeah, somewhere in an affluent New Jersey suburb, a newsman just simmers. 6 Link to comment

Galileo908 February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 (edited) Keith Richards! And he introduced Paul McCartney! My parents are watching in the other room and it was the first time they ever saw Celebrity Jeopardy. They loved it. (like I said, they bailed during the 80s). Also, my dad told me that he is not a fan of G.E. Smith. He thinks he's an idiot. Edited February 16, 2015 by Galileo908 1 Link to comment

Smith. Interesting. One of my favorite pieces of trivia is the G.E. Smith is Gilda Radner's first husband. 1 Link to comment

ABitOFluff February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 I saw McCartney last October. He was great but he needs time for his voice to warm up these days. He sounded a little rough here. I still love him, I can't help it. 4 Link to comment

Galileo908 February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 (edited) Inside Out, huh? Wasn't there an Eddie Murphy movie that came out not long ago that had the same premise. Pixar might make it awesome, though. You might be referring to "Meet Dave," where tiny Eddie Murphy aliens pilot a giant Eddie Murphy ship. "Inside-Out" is about the actual emotions piloting people. And of course we have a Political Sketch highlight reel, starting with Chevy as Ford. It of course was fantastic. Oh man, Phil Hartman as Clinton and Hooks as Hillary was a great team, and Darrell Hammond and Ana Gasteyer/Amy Poehler filled their shoes so well.
