Wow, so next week is already the Season Finale. That means only 14 episodes when we usually get 19 or 20. They must have hat to cut out a ton of stuff, since they only brought Jac In as a late addition. Hard to believe the stuff they cut out was as boring as what they left in. What a snooze of a season.

 

They probably want to get to the reunion as quicly as possible while the Guidice news is still "hot". In addition to that, the new cast hasn't panned out, throwing in Jac and Kathy made things worse (If they were fan favorites they would have been full time cast members), and no one wants continue to see Teresa lie and carry on every week about "The Terrible Thing That Happened That Wasn't Our Fault". Now that they have been sentenced the rest of the season is moot.

 

ETA: I can't believe I'm saying this since I was never a fan of the Gorgas but I think it was a HUGE mistake to show so little of them this season. Too much screen time was given to the newbies who IMO are a bore and annoying. At least Melissa's nice to look at and their kids are cute. I wonder if this was "punishment" from Andy because they wouldn't bad mouth Tre and Joe. The newbies were obviously afraid to cross the Guidices until public opinion went against Tre and JoeGo and Mel may have told production "we are not going there" in regard to the Guidices. So we get a season that looked like Bravo was giving the Gui's a platform for sympathy when really Andy wanted to excoriate them but had no takers. I do remember early in the season Andy had Mel and Joe on WWHL and he was very cold toward them and he usually loves them. When they were on again a few weeks ago he was nice to them but he may figure they're all he has left.

What "stance" is she supposed to take? She barely knows the woman, doesn't know if the rumor is true or not. Amber should have been the one to take a "stance" since SHE is a friend of The Twin, not Tre. Also, I think Tre was just going through the motions of filming to collect a paycheck, "Just tell me where to show up" kind of attitude unless it was a scene to her benefit to make excuses for what happened, talk about her girls and throw Gia in front of the camera and make her cry to garner sympathy for herself.

 

I must admit that I, too, at times love a dirty scoop as long as it's not about someone I care about, hee hee!

According to the twins blog last week, she and Teresa had become rather close. She said they spent a lot of time together, which we didn't see. This seems to be why she feels betrayed by the fact that Teresa didn't shut the rumor down.

The problem as I see it is that VG was sharing the rumor as a fact. She was presenting that she had actually heard the story from Rino himself, not second hand. She was the one "in the know" so to speak. As much as I dislike both Amber and Teresa, I am not sure how they can be blamed for not telling her she was wrong, since she was the only one who had heard it. I cannot imagine how they could know that the story was not true and basically call VG out as a liar.

What I hate more than anything is that Teresa has always accused others of doing this actual thing: blaming her for the word of others. She always wanted to claim to be innocent, even when she clearly wasn't. She was the victim of folks who wanted to bring her down. In the past these were her delusions, IMO. I hate that she can now point to this and say "well, once again I am being blamed for the actions of someone else". It wasn't ever true in the past, but I think it might be true now. Damn.

How about saying something like that's a horrible rumor to spread about a family. A rumor that can really damage a family. Because family is so important to Teresa. So she claims. I can't believe I'm defending Joe Gorga, but after Dim Jim had his outburst in Fla., I like how Joe told him off, and said he'd pop the guy who ever said something like that about his mother or his wife's mother. Can you imagine if anyone started a rumor like that about Teresa's mother? She'd flip out, and go on the warpath. But this wasn't about her, so she simply didn't care.

 Teresa was not responsible for what comes out of Victoria Gotti's mouth, but she is responsible for what comes out of her mouth.  She did go and repeat this rumor to Dina.  IMO, she didn't even have to shut VG down then and there, but she didn't have to go and tell someone else that rumor--on TV no less. Some things you just keep your mouth shut about, and don't comment on.

That is what I got out of that dinner scene from Jim and Amber; look at we went through, we know probablems, these other people are harping on pretty drama. Was there a specific reason Amber had those pictures taken? I think it's weird and self involved to take a photoshoot of yourself, if that's what it was (it wasn't for a mag, right?) No one should have to go through that I wonder what Amber and Jim would say to me if I said "yeah, I watched the episode with the pics, I saw your scars, do you ever get questioned about them when you're wearing a bathing suit? Those are probably easy to cover if you want too, right? I always have troble finding one-pieces I like as they cover up the one going from my neck to the very end of my spine, but more to hide my abdomen that's been cut up/open many times starting at age 1, that I wish a zipper system could just be installed for any future ones." Would they be pissed at me for 'downplaying' she went through? If so, if I were to use Jim and Amber's logic, they have no right too, because Amber is cured of her condition and I am not, so that gives me a pass on being an a-hole. But using real-world logic, nobody gets a pass on horrible behavior since they've been through an illness (or helped someone through one) and nobody is obligated to just get over something because there are people who have to face worse in life than unflattering gossip.

For the sake of peace, yeah, Teresa should just say she's sorry she told Dina. Amber is really the one at fault though (out of that cast, I'm not talking about VG.) Teresa told Dina and Dina reacted in a way that was to protect the twins, and I do think Teresa felt Dina would not go around spreading it in a bad way. Amber went and told Jim, snake who seems to LOVE drama and she had to have known that giving him that info was really just setting the countdown to when he was going to bring it up since he seems to get off on doing sh*t like that.

Teresa isn't quite calculating enough to think of bringing on the OG VG to drop the rumor, but no doubt she'd go along with it if producers brought it up. Now that Jim has experienced a loved one going through cancer I wonder if he has any remorse about the way he scammed other cancer patients to make money off an inefffective cancer drug. Surley that has to cross his mind, the suffering he caused other families. Then again, it's Jim I'm talking about. It's ironic that he ended up with a wife with cancer, though if karma was at play here it should have been Jim with The Cancer rather than Amber.

 

If that photo shoot was supposed to be about Amber overcoming her embarrassment over her scars, having the courage to show the world, why was she wearing a 2 piece bathing suit last week when she was sitting at the outdoor table eating eggs before they were to go on the yatch? Okay, I hate to say this, I mean REALLY REALLY hate to 'cause I dislike her husband and therefore by association her, but......I was kinda interested in seeing Amber's photoshoot ONLY because it filled in some missing pieces for me about her cancer. I have wondered all season how involved Amber's cancer was; perhaps she had mentioned it before and I tuned it out, but I did not know she had a double mastectomy, as well as chemo. And then clearly full reconstructive surgery. That is pretty damn intense as it gets. I now have to give her a little more slack for making it her storyline.....I guess......damnit. I still reserve the right to dislike her though.

THEN, at Dina's house (I think) Amber talked to Teresa about it in another room -- basically just saying, "Can you believe what Victoria said. DO you believe it OMG!" -- THAT is a normal follow-up conversation that you would have with the other person who was there with you when you both were told crazy shit like that. You'd call that person or the next time you saw them, you'd say, "Do you believe that shit?" WHEN Amber did that Teresa DID shut her down, saying "let's just not repeat it. I don't even know why Victoria would say that. I've got my own problems. Let's just stay out of it." Teresa did do that.

 

THEN -- as girlfriends will do -- she did tell a friend she THOUGHT would keep her mouth shut and keep it all in confidence.

And that is exactly what DINA should have done! WHY did Dina feel the need to say ANYTHING, she doesn't know the twins well enough to give two shits about any rumor about them. Why would she even CARE ENOUGH to repeat it? She was in barely acquaintance stage...if I were her I'd have thought, "I don't know these twins, I don't know why this rumor was started - ESPECIALLY KNOWING Victoria was the one who started it....I would have thought - even if they ASK me have you heard anything.....I'd have won and Oscar for how dumb I would have played: "Rumor what rumor. I don't know why anyone would even tell me anything. I don't get into crap like that."

 

And it would have stopped there as far as Teresa getting dragged into it. DINA is the reason the twins are angry at Teresa.

 

That would have kept Teresa out of it....But, But BUT....Amber told Jim...so he still would have said what HE said...in an open room of people in Florida. But even so...as was said earlier, at least Teresa would have been out it.

Victoria Gotti is famewhore trash like the rest of them and the idea that she should somehow be respected or revered because her father is a murderer really doesn't sit right with me. I expect that sort of storyline on Mob Wives but I thought RH was supposed to be about the wealthy and glamorous. I guess Tre changed all that though, being a felon and all.

While it's completely true VG was the one going on national tv to spread that rumor, Tre was the friend giving her the opportunity. I do agree though that Teresa was phoning it in this season and doing what producers wanted to get her paycheck. It's such a circle of blame to go around this gross group.

I think Dina summed it up best when she said Teresa "entertained" the rumor.  She certainly gave Victoria Gotti the platform to spew her hatred.  I am still curious when Victoria started to go down the road about when the Apreas were divorced-would it not have been a good time to say-let's not go there.

 

I am still in disbelief that Teresa thought they twins were trying to dump their family problems on her.  Teresa certainly held the gate open to let the trouble begin.

Forgot to mention, when Teresa was telling Gia about how she had her IUD or Norplant removed that it was a setup for her to get pregnant pre-sentencing? I think that ship has sailed by now but I would be shocked if there was an announcement in the next couple of months.

She has four months to make this happen. . . please no more Giudice offspring-Gia already has her hands full.

{hug}  Sometimes I just get snarky and don't realize there are real people dealing with what I'm seeing on the show (breast cancer).

 

With the exception of the Juicys because of my experience with the IRS. 

 

How is Nicole buying that huge house?  Bobby was acting like hella no.  I've got my own house.

The last couple of episodes -- including this one -- are prime examples of why I get the feeling -- and it's understandable -- that BRAVO doesn't know WHAT to do with the show -- but is TRYING to plan ahead .....I mean, they supposedly 'dropped' Kathy, Rosie, and Jacqueline as regulars...but a few weeks into the season they're back on, in every darn episode. So are they on the show or not?

 

I think the producers knew right after the season started the "new cast" was not the "right fit." Either they weren't clicking with the audience or each other. But it seems the show is floundering -- with the producers themselves trying to decide whether they should keep Joe and the girls on the show without Teresa, so they can carry that line until she gets back

 

IMO, there's no other way to explain Kathy/Rosie, etc -- being off the show then on.....I think Bravo hired the twins and Amber but because they weren't related to and didn't even know the Gorgas or Giudices -- producers were really at a loss as to how to transition them in. Look at the scenes where the twins were at Kathy's, clearly meeting for the first time...and the guys were introducing themselves to each other -- clearly from the questions they had no connection to each other. In some of the talking heads the twins and Amber say thing s like "I heard she was a trouble maker." Really? From who?

 

I hope Joe and the girls stay on the show. And I like Teresa and most of the original cast members -- and their families. To be honest I'd LOVE to see more of the Joe Giu's parents, and Kathy and Rosie's mom. Heck, throw in Teresa parents too. Look at how much of a hit Josh Flagg's grandmother Edith was on Million Dollar Listing LA. I also liked the Manzo's interaction with the Gorga/Giudices/Wakilis. Jacqueline is the only one who as far as I'm concerned can just go. I'ms just so sick of her. BUT I like her husband Chris, who really does seem to be a decent guy who's never wanted to get into a lot of shit stirring.

 

I'm sooo tired of Jacq begging to be Teresa's friend or whining about why Tre won't call her back. ENOUGH about that -- and the autistic kid, Nicholas. I DO find it refreshing that they are downsizing and being real about their financial situation. They have no choice...but I'm still glad there'll keeping it real on that score.

 

One more thing about money...I'd LOVE to know the REAL scoop on Richie and the gas station and Kathy the hair dresser....I DO think that whatever their finances are they are smart enough to have a calculated sit-down and say this is a once in a lifetime chance -- we can't screw this up money-wise. When this is over -- whether Kathy's cannolis sell or not -- I bet they want to be set for life. So Richie may have had a bad gas station deal and Kathy may have just done hair before this started -- but I bet they are saving their Bravo money -- and even with this new house -- have no plans to be house poor.

 

So...will the twins and Amber be let go after just this season? Please G-d, yes. Chalk it up to bad casting -- a nice try -- but uh, it didn't work out.

Damn Teresa - why are you talking to your 13 year old about birth control while getting a pedicure?

I understand that Gia is a teenager and probably irritable most of the time, but the conversation between her and Teresa always seems so stilted; like they don't do it all the time and don't know quite what to talk about.
