S14.E19: Reunion, Part 2

What was Jennifer  nibbling  on, that's how interested  I was, I really wanted to know. . I buzzed through  this, and still wonder  why EJ makes peculiar  faces at the end. 

I'm over Dorit, Kyle the texts, PK, Mauricio, Morgan who is everywhere  with Kyle, just not on this show. She was at the hospital  to see Teddi  when Kyle went. I doubt  Kyle and Dorit will ever be the same, they can act like they will but I don't  think so. The cast needs a shake up,  it's becoming stale. I'll miss Garcelle,  but please  keep Jennifer Tilly. I'd like to see more of Boz without  Dorit.

Why on earth would she be so amazed that Jennifer would go to the “dark side” with the “witches of Eastwick”? Because Jennifer owns jewelry and Dorit… uh, wants to own that jewelry?

 

PS those clips of Sutton made ERIKA AND DORIT look bad. Not so much Sutton. Dorit is a nasty and empty piece of work, isn’t she? The way she baited Sutton was awful. How is her behavior any better than Sutton’s? Does she own a mirror? Andy calling out her comment about the main road being a main road in… Bel Air was one of the few times I actually appreciated him.

Exactly. 

Also Boz was pretty far up Dorit's ass right out of the gate, so maybe Sutton and Garcelle should've hammered away at her about that. 

I do think Boz does a good job on the show, and I'm aware of her shit talking appearances on talk shows and podcasts. Both things can be true. 

What kind of surprised me about Boz when Sutton brought up Dorit's name calling, and I don't remember Boz stopping and looking at Dorit, "You shouldn't say that about other women. That's not cool."

Boz needs to hold everyone accountable for their bullshit, and that includes chiding Dorit for calling other women "c*nts* because that's not cool on her part. I don't care who she says that too. It's wrong and should be called out.

We didn’t need to rehash the texts again. Kyle probably thought her and PK were still friends even though she basically dumped Dorit for a comment Morgan. PK probably enjoyed telling Dorit that Kyle reached out. 

I can’t stand Dorit usually but I don’t blame her for poking at Sutton who is a kick them when they’re down obnoxious person.

This part 2 was so boring even Kyle's crystal tried to make a run for it.   Twice.

Clearly, this is the Dorit show and I'm not here for it.  With Garcelle leaving, the only thing that might keep me around is Jennifer Tilly.  

So is Kyle afraid her daughters are going to be upset by her alleged relationship with Morgan?  Even though their father is clearly having relationships of his own?  I honestly don't understand what the big deal is.  Boz is right - just say you're not going to discuss it, period, and leave it at that.  But you can't expect to parade Morgan around last season and then get huffy and offended that people are asking questions.  Morgan may not have signed up for the Housewives but she did agree to appear on the show.  

So Kyle called and texted the estranged husband of her so-called friend, Dorit has called Camille and Sutton the See You Next Tuesday, and Erika used to wear a necklace proudly declaring herself a See You Next Tuesday but Garcelle and Sutton are the mean girls.  Sure. Okay.  Next.  

Watching Jennifer Tilly snack during this nonsense was gold.  

Were all the ladies told to wear gold, yellow, silver or white?

I am so distracted by Dorit's skeletal like figure, her shoulders jut out and it looks uncomfortable for her that I can barely pay attention to what she is saying.

Dorit's constant "we were/are friends" whining is annoying. Dorit will not gain anything by forcing a friendship on Kyle because it will just delay the inviable for Dorit, that friendship is never going to be the same as it was, too many factors have entered the chat, Morgan, PJ and his casual texting Kyle, divorce for both of them, etc...Dorit just cannot give up trying to be friends with Kyle. 

To me, it is no great loss for Dorit.

This is what I enjoy about Jennifer Tilly; she doesn't worry too much about stuff like that.  And while she is definitely Sutton's friend, I don't see any interest in jumping into the middle of a fight.

So glad Andy called Kyle out for the hypocrisy of Morgan’s video.  “Can’t have your cake and eat it, too” exactly. She played a lesbian for attention then walked it back when it got too real.  You can see why her sisters occasionally stop talking to her because she has a different set of rules for herself than everyone else. And she’s Always the victim.

Nice to see her Finally in the hot seat, although it was more like an overly warm seat.  She did a terrible job defending herself. It was all-what about when you hurt me!? And the offenses toward her were no big deal in my opinion, Dorit saying Kyle got closer with Morgan and further from her was So Hurtful! ?what?!

She’s only a girls girl if she’s the Top Girl. When she feels she’s slipping, she texts your husband behind your back and tells him about your fights. Skank. 

I love Jennifer Tilly but I kind of don’t want her to stay on this show because She’s not a self centered back stabber and these shrews will ruin her. 

Boz needs to stop policing how everyone else defends themselves and look at her best buddy, Dorit, who is just constantly yelling at everyone and calling them c****.  She really thinks she’s such a badass using that word and I laugh Everytime she says it because she doesn’t have the power she thinks she does.  She’s like a toddler who just discovered that saying ‘shit’ gets a big reaction from the adults.  I have no doubt she was practicing her ‘burns’ for weeks before this reunion.

I really wish Sutton would’ve just laughed in her face instead of falling for obvious baiting.   Dorit desperately needs the check from this show, so she decided ahead of time to act like a screeching banshee to everyone to ensure her spot next season. But she needs to dial it back a bit or she’ll be the next Dorinda/Rinna.

Isn't it crazy how the constant theme is "Kyle isn't a real friend". 

The only way you can get Kyle as a somewhat friend is if she can be in the drivers seat at all times. That means she gets to laugh at your expense, get away with inconsiderate, mean and dismissive behavior and never be called out on anything. If you are not willing to be that kind of friend to Kyle then she won't give you the time of day. That has been shown OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER again over all these years. With her friends AND family. 

I'm tired of people a) acting surprised and b) actually being hurt over not making the cut. And yes that includes Sutton even though I am team Sutton. Erika got the memo though.

Fuck Dorit. I did not like the bully tactics she used on Sutton. The repeating of questions, talking shit about her house etc.  Dorit wishes she could afford a van down by the river so it was rich talking smack about the location of Sutton's house.  Let me tell you as a lifelong Californian who has had to evacuate more than once, being on a frontage road would be my choice.

You could tell despite Kyle and Dorit's issues with each other, they were in sync re Sutton/Garcelle's pile on.

This bullshit aggression isn't why I tune in. Snark? Yes. Aggressive mean girl behavior, fuck no.  I might be out.  Seriously, I say this every season with every franchise I watch but this time it might actually be true.

I'm sure Dorit's kids love her, and I've never doubted that she loves her children. But acting as if Sutton is devoid of love and happiness? How would she know that? They've never been close friends and confidants.

The "buys friends" comment was a low blow, and it kind of felt like she practiced saying it before the Reunion. 

There was a rumor going around the fanbase that Rinna is behind-the-scenes and coaching the FFF members who are still on the show. 

I'm not sure how accurate that rumor is, but for someone who swears she's totally over RHOBH and would never go back, she talks about the show quite a bit on her podcast with Harry, so..........

Plus she mentioned spending time with Erika IRL.

Yep. There's a rumor in the fanbase that Rinna's been coaching/advising them off-camera. 

I can see that as a possibility, but I'm not sure how accurate the rumor is, or from where it started.

I believe it was at Dolce & Gabbana, and THAT'S the kind of stuff I'd like to watch on my escapist reality TV. Not a bunch of grifters desperate to stay on the show for the paycheck and whatever level of D-List fame it offers.

They weren't broke.  Both came from well off upper middle class families.   He was already a successful investment banker when they got married. 

She married someone with real potential.  That's marrying well - at least financially.  

On the other hand, this guy also filed for divorce on her birthday, came to the party with a cake and called her the next day on his way somewhere to tell her she needed to get an attorney.  She said she was completely blindsided.  So maybe didn't marry that well. 

I'd say she divorced well.  They continued to co-parent and she got a fair share of money out of the marriage.

ETA and nothing says "I'm Lisa Rinna and my life is amazing" like trying to manipulate the people and storyline behind a TV show you were ousted from a few seasons back...

I was a little surprised by Andy at that too.  But honestly, public figure or not, if someone Kyle cares about has asked her not to mention their relationship (whatever it is) on camera then of course Kyle should respect that.  Last night she said she was not going to talk about anything she thought would hurt anyone she loved and cared about.   What she doesn't have a problem with, is talking about something that might hurt someone she doesn't care about.

I think Dorit was just trying to get in what she perceived to be a lower dig at Sutton than Sutton's comment about the size of Dorit's wallet.  Dorit's got nothing on Sutton, except in her own imagination.  And, maybe Dorit is just a teeny, tiny bit annoyed that Sutton DID NOT offer to buy Dorit's friendship with the gift of that Hermes handbag at the 4th of July party.  

Wasn't it Dorit who claimed that she would willingly let Sutton "buy" her friendship or whatever if Sutton gave her that Hermes bag, and then proceeded to really try to take it from Sutton?

If anything, it is Dorit who puts a monetary/mercenary value on friendships and relationships.  If I recall, several seasons ago, PK promised Dorit an Hermes Birkin if she jumped off the bow of a yacht they were on during a trip to Mexico.  Dorit jumped and then showed the Birkin in a talking head, saying "And that's how you get a Birkin!". 

I also may vaguely remember Dorit making comments similar to those with LVP.

This, I think it why Dorit and Erika are getting along now - they both see this same cold, mercenary little hearts in each other.

I agree with you, and I am glad that Andy did challenge Kyle.

But, I do also agree with Kyle - the housewives fans are/can be completely rabid and borderline crazy in their posts, comments and everything else on social media.  It's scary to read some of the stuff I've read on social media towards housewives.  

I posted about this a few weeks ago that I think originally, Kyle thought she was doing Morgan a favor by pushing her on social media, etc., and neither one expected the extent of the negative fall out.  

Most country music stars don't really face the same kind of vitriol and outright hatred that housewives deal with from all those keyboard warriors and plain old trolls.

Kyle and Morgan did themselves no favors by posting photos of themselves together on their socials, making that music video together, etc.  They continue to do themselves no favors as they are still posting photos together to this day.  

Morgan needs to decide what she wants more - a true friendship (or relationship) with Kyle, away from the public eye, or the fame and blowback that goes along with posing and posting photos with a Real Housewife.  She can't reap the benefits and then bitch and moan about it.

Frankly, I am extremely tired of hearing about, talking about or even mentioning Morgan Wade.  She's not that great of a singer or performer, she's annoying and seems entitled.  I've seen and heard waaaay better country musicians playing for tips at the bars along Broadway in Nashville.
