reggiejax January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 (edited) I am certain Goldie Hawn is just doing some schtick. But someone should tell her that the whole "cutie pie ditz" persona that served her so well for many years, really doesn't work at 70. And it clearly makes people think she is either drunk or having a senior moment. Edited January 9, 2017 by reggiejax 19 Link to comment

Artsda January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 I love Matt Bomer. That was a surprisingly personal speech by Ryan. He normally doesn't talk about his private life with Eva. 10 Link to comment
bunnyblue January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 Man, I always wanted Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams to stay together. And chiming in late to the debate upthread: I prefer Gosling to Reynolds. 5 Link to comment

Mountainair January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 What a great a acceptance speech just then by Gosling. I remember Ryan Reynolds from 2 guys and a Girl? I think that was the name of the show on ABC like a million years ago. I thought he was cute then and I was probably 12! 3 Link to comment

Arynm January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 I found Goldie hysterical and adorable. Even Amy was funny trying to reign her in. I couldn't decide if it was a bit or not. 4 Link to comment

mojoween January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 I got SUPER tired of all of the hype for "La La Land" over the last five months and that has not abated. (I subscribe to Entertainment Weekly and that is all they have talked about and they made me hate it.) I'll wait for it to hit HBO. 10 Link to comment
Browncoat January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 Agreed about Hell or High Water. It surprised me how much I liked that one. 2 Link to comment
thuganomics85 January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 La La Land's screenplay was probably one of the weaker elements. Haven't seen Manchester by the Sea or Moonlight yet, but I would probably have picked Hell or High Water over it. Oh, well. Wow, I knew this was only Damien Chazalle's second film ever, but he's got quite the babyface. Like "I wonder if he still gets carded at bars" babyface. 2 Link to comment
Chrissytd January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 Maybe it's because I'm not a musical person, but La La Land doesn't look appealing to me. 6 Link to comment
MVFrostsMyPie January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 I'd be more willing to watch lala land (lalaland? la la land?) if it was Reynolds instead of Gosling. And I like musicals! But this one is about as appealing to me as the movie version of Chicago, and Moulin Rouge. Kristen Wiig is wearing a human doily. :-o Link to comment

thuganomics85 January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 Talk about a win/lose for me. I get to be happy that Zooptopia wins, but sad Moana looses. Dammit, Disney: why couldn't you release them at different times?! 5 Link to comment

Misslindsey January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 (edited) I would love some sort of combo of Steve Carell/Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert as hosts. Some people work better when they can bounce jokes off of each other, though it does not work for everyone. Anne Hathaway and James Franco Oscars for example. I wanted a Moana win. mojoween January 9, 2017 Share January 9, 2017 I'm surprised Moana did not win. I truly thought that Lin-Manuel's name alone would give it a push. Did that guy say he has been married for 28 years? Did he get married when he was eight? 3 Link to comment
