While I don't think proving you have antibodies or immunity being used similar to vaccine card is a crazy idea, imo the ways people are being tested for covid would create huge headache of fake cards for it so not super feasible for US...and Jed you're well off just get the jab ffs...

Didn't she literally write a book about the need to get off her phone? Her Twitter feed the last few months is INSANE. Nonstop retweets about covid. She has clearly gone stir crazy.

Isn’t there a mandate in NYC that theater goers (and I assume that includes tv studios) must show proof of vaccination?  Jed cannot be there in person if she isn’t vaxxed.

Setmayer snidely peddling the sexism against Harris as justified, shocker. "30% isn't just conservatives," she said--as if sexism only rears its head on one side of politics. And Sara backing her up, of course. Sunny was exactly right that if she had been speaking up more, which is not the role of a VP, they'd be having the exact same conversation, only instead Sara would be criticizing her for "speaking too much" instead. There is no way to win this game.

Honestly, the only thing worth seeing was Joy's "He's gonna get you" during the Chris Christie interview, lol.

I knew this would happen with our first WOC VP but I’m still disgusted. Even more disgusting when it’s being enabled by other women.

Loved Sunny pushing back against Setmayer on CRT, she had her wriggling like a worm. Can't stand her. In retrospect, it feels appropriate for Jedidiah to be there today; Setmayer is basically doing the same dance Jedidiah did when she was on The View.  This whole schtick of pretending they aren't a part of either party, like they're some outside observer, but then going on to attack only one party consistently. At least somebody like Paula, Abby, or Ana would own what they are instead of being fake and cowardly, imo. She's just doing whatever she can to get the job.

Tara wasn’t defending the Rep misinformation, she was explaining why they say such things and how the Dems need to find a way to push back in a way that will get people to see the truth. I don’t know why Sunny felt she had to aggressively disagree.

So what was the point of having Jed on if she couldn’t even be in the studio?  The producers should have passed over her unless she agreed to get vaxxed (despite her “natural immunity” 🙄). Instead she gets to tout her book and spread more misinformation.

I've noticed that some of guest co hosts that were tolerable when Meghan was on are no longer tolerable.  I guess compared to MM they seemed reasonable and maybe even likable.  I haven't watched today's show yet but yesterday TS had me rolling my eyes.

Sorry not sorry but the View should not have any guest on who spreads misinformation or as I like to call it lies about the vaccine. I don't care who they are.

Yeah... I think some people liked Setmayer mostly because the former co-host hated her and had her (and Sherri Shepherd) banned from guesting on the show. While I don't think it was right that either woman was banned because of one big baby co-host and I'm fine with them showing up to stick it to her now she's gone, I would never want either one of them on this show every day, that's for sure.

Jedediah Bila looks like a million bucks, better than she looked on the show, five years ago. However, once The View realized she wouldn't or couldn't get vaccinated, they should have vetted her better on her overall vax stance, OR had her on when they had a doctor on the panel, to immediately counter her misinformation.

I felt a little sorry for her when Sunny went after Jed for her own vaccination status. There are absolutely people who cannot have the vaccine for medical reasons.

If Bila is telling the truth that she cannot have the vaccine (i.e. if her medical exemption is legitimate, and not just something she was able to get because she has a little money), I don't think it was fair for Sunny to say Jed is prioritizing her personal freedom over everyone's health and safety.

Since Jed also spewed a bunch of misinformation about the vaccine, and Sunny should have aimed all of her ire at that, not at Jed's personal circumstances.

I loved Joy's, "You've been at Fox TV too long."

I understand Sunny's frustration.  I didn't watch the show when Jed was a co host but I remember she was widely condemned on this board for lying about things.  If I'm not mistaken @GHScorpiosRule referred to her as the lyingliarwholies.

Did school history lessons change? I recall that slavery was brought out as a primary reason for the Civil War and few people were conversant with other issues that persuaded people in the South to secede. Now those political reasons are the focus in history lessons in school?

Jed combined the discussion by stating that she had a medical exemption and high natural immunity therefore she's not a danger to others.   (Side note - I am very curious what type of condition one would have that you both can't take a common vaccine and have an above average healthy immune system).   

Jed's personal circumstances included her spreading misinformation (Jed's claims she's not a threat due to her high immunity), so I wasn't mad at Sunny  going at her the way she did.

Agree, what the heck was that segment? I wondered why Jedediah wasn't in studio. 

Yes, there are people who can't get the vaccine out there. I don't blame Jed if that's her case at all. But what is this natural immunity she's talking about? Can anyone explain that? Genuinely asking. 

Vaccines do prevent cases, and as a result, result in less spread of the virus. If you really can't get the vaccine, don't get it. But I hate when the effectiveness and importance of them are played down. If you're like the vast, vast majority of people, get vaccinated if you haven't already. It will keep you and everyone you come into contact with safer. 

lol yes, that cracked me up. What I love about Joy is she always sees the funny.

Yeah, I didn't know she wasn't vaccinated prior to the segment. 

It definitely would have been more responsible if they had a doctor there.

NYC also has a mandate.  Broadway shows, restaurants, TV show audiences and movie theaters all require a vaccination card.  I saw Belfast over the weekend at an AMC multiplex, I had to show my card.  I knew I wouldn't be bumping into Jed or Aaron Rogers.
