Now they’re talking about Alyssa and her mad misting skillz.

They think Alyssa is acting childishly. After the comp, she was complaining about how it wasn’t fair and said she was going to tell the DR. And the way she was stomping around after the veto ceremony… she’s a poor sport and it’s too late in the game to be acting like that. Azah said the way everyone was huddled around, coddling her, was ridiculous.

So how do they REALLY feel about Alyssa?

Good morning, all!

All are sleeping soundly in the BB house. Camera 1 is showing the Joker bedroom. You can see Britini down at the end, then someone in the bed next to hers wearing something shiny. My guess is Claire in her Queen of Hearts outfit.

Camera 2 shows a closeup of Derek F asleep on the Coffin bed. It changes color at night from blue to light gray.

Camera 3 shows the top of someone's head, no, I'm still on Camera 2 and that I'd Derek's head. My laptop won't let me change cameras.

OK, I was able to switch to #3. We see Alyssa sound asleep and the elongated lump next to her must be Christian. They're making a V, in that their feet are close together, but they get further apart as you eyes move up their bodies. They must be in the divider bed with the divider removed as I don't know what other bed in the Have Not room would fit two people.

Camera 4 shows a big view of the HN room. And Christian are not in the divider bed. They must be in the slanting bed, of which only a corner shows. I can't tell if someone is in the divider bed. One side is bare and there's kind of a lump on the other side but no one's head is on the pillow. I believe Xavier is in the bed against the wall opposite the jet ski.

Is this the real reason? Because that's hilarious.

That's what Christian himself said, although I don't know how he would know that. Did Production call him up and say, 'You're not going to be on this season of Survivor because Jeff doesn't like you?'

Slut shaming SB every five minutes, or when anyone is within earshot, is definitely beneath her.

I don't think she does it that often. I've never heard her do it and I watch the feeds all day long lol. So, at the very least, in the past week she hasn't said it every 5 minutes between the hours of 8-5 BBT.

Maybe because it comes across as so immature and vicious it seems like it is more often?? Five min is hyperbole.

Exactly and wanting SB out and therefor shit talking on her is perfectly "real" game. I don't really like HOW she has chosen to crap on SB by questioning her identity and the reality of her relationship, mostly because much grosser/dumber people usually go down that but do they really have a partner/are they really gay trope, but it is surprisingly effective with some hammies so ::shrug:: Also X is doing that piece too and no one is giving him the same shit. I do agree her vitriol towards SB is bad game play and she needs to get a hold of her emotions and not confuse those with her actual valid game play in wanting SB gone.

Good morning, @Lamb18!  See, I’m not really a jackass. (That’s Kyland.)

Agreed that questioning sexual identity is a very bad look for Tiff and one of the things that has me teetering on the edge where she’s concerned. That is definitely not cool, whether inside the BB house or not. I haven’t heard X question SB’s identity, just the existence of an actual current girlfriend, which is a different thing and acceptable (albeit a dumb waste of time and brainpower, IMO). But if he has done that, then he can also take a place on my side-eye list.

  • Love 1

Right X has just said the "is there a Shelly" bit, but he's also suggested the part where she and Ky know each other and are America's Couple, IDK it still reads to me the same way, that's he's trying to undermine her claims of bisexuality. It's not as bad as Tiff saying she likes girls more than SB, but I'm not really here for either one's focus on this completely dumb train of strategy. They should both be above it and realize this group of hammies isn't on that gross level and won't be as receptive and indeed may side eye it all to hell. Also I think X being a lawyer would classify his lie of omission as distinct and less problematic from SB's imagined lie of creation? LOL.

I love Hannah, but her justification for targeting Christian on the basis of him figuring the CO out? Girl, come on, never. Only in a configuration of Christian Ploos Alyssa and even then they are together an have not figured it out.

Regarding Tiffany and her preoccupation with Sarah Beth, she is in danger of creating the first fissure in The Cookout by this preoccupation. If she let's this get into her head too much I could see a rift between Kyland and her over SB, with Cookout members taking sides. So you could end up with pro-SB and anti-SB alliances plus maybe a don't care alliance who watches all the conflict and picks off the others.

That would be fun to watch.

Kyland is making  BLT but he is putting mayonnaise on the outside of his toast.

  • Love 1

Looks like Kyland's putting pickles on the sandwich now. He's cutting it in half.

That's right, he has to make club sandwiches, doesn't he?

BUBBLES.

I guess Claire talking about doing 52 card pickup twice in the HOH room and once in the Have Not room was too much for Button Boy. The lights didn't turn on in the HN room whe Claire was in there, so she lost her cards.

As y'all know by now, I'm totally cool with The Cookout, but I have to imagine that TPTB aren't thrilled with all of the many stupid ass thinkpieces that are going to be popping up once it is clear that The Cookout is DOMINATING this game (the broadcast show has done its best to try to downplay it as much as possible). It hasn't even hit Fox News and you KNOW this is just the sort of shit that they could make a whole lot of hay with on that network, so what do you think the show's reaction to it will be to avoid it happening again? Just assume the HGs will be more aware of it next year? Or actually diversify the diversity a bit much (perhaps, and I know this might sound crazy, MORE than one Asian in the cast?)?

  • Love 9

Azah is telling Claire that he told Kyland he should tone it down with SB. After all, he wants Christian to go home, doesn't he? I still don't know she was referring to when talking about the person who was crying a lot.

Claire is getting paper cuts on her hands from the playing cards and she got blood on her outfit. Kyland starts talking to Claire about someone who is getting emotional and then --

BUBBLES!

I saw awhile ago some of the HGs were asking Kyland to try a grilled cheese made with mayo instead of butter, and he said no. Maybe that's why he's putting mayo on the outside of his bread, but if it's already toasted then I don't know. I do know I've used mayo for grilled cheese when I didn't have butter and it was just as good.

Sarah Beth and Xavier are teasing about Derek F and Kyland snuggling. Now Sarah Beth is saying how some people thought Xavier was going to kiss Whitney just before she left, but Sarah didn't see it. Derek F starts to say he did, then --

BUBBLES!

Sudden switch to outside. Derek F plans to fix spaghetti for supper tonight. Britini is talking about dancing on Tik Tok, then --

BUBBLES!

We return to Christian lifting a dumbbell. Derek X is asking Christian about MODELING, which agencies he uses.

Derek F forgot that today is Taco Tuesday, so no spaghetti tonight.

They have vegan mayo so maybe the vegans want to use it instead of butter.

Kyland and Xavier thought Bacon Bits are dog food. They were thinking of  Beggin' Strips.

Xavier says keep your friends close such as Kyland and Britini and enemies closer like Alyssa, Christian, Sarah Beth, Big D, and your showmance closest as he twirls Claire around. He also had his first sex dream in the house. Frenchie was in it?? They tease him the dream was about Whitney.

This is the way. Turns out my grandma sat on this knowledge my whole life, I only found out by accident many years after she died. It's easier to spread than anything except the softest butter, so provides more even coverage, and the small bit of egg in it gives the bread just a tiny hint of non-sweet french toastness, while still being uniformly crispy. My work here is done.

It's so odd to me that Christian models. He doesn't look like model material to me.

What I understand is that Xavier wants Christian to make jury because he knows Christian is a vote for him if he makes final 2.

Yeah, it’s gonna suck if some major news outlet starts with the outrage. I’m guessing there’s already a lot of grumbling on Twitter, but I don’t follow that so I don’t know how extensive.

I think this would have to be a one-time thing. There will be more awareness, although it would still be possible to have an undercover alliance (I don’t mean the Chrisalys kind) with POC if they are careful. Worst case scenario, some white HGs decide they have to eliminate as many POC as possible to eliminate the chance of such an alliance. Then we’d be back where we started, only worse.

I hope there’s no backtracking on the diversity because I think it has produced one of the most interesting and engaging casts in recent memory. But yeah, they could definitely open the door a little wider— more Asians, more Latinx, more everybody!

Luckily, I think they put the 50/50 bit more or less in writing, so they can't really walk that one back. Which is great, as I agree, it forces them to put in SO much more work in actually casting interesting people and not just the first 16 resumes they got for Love Island.

What also makes him a little extra salty about it is Whitney was also a vote for him, and she left the week before. All of Xavier’s jury votes, flying away like tumbleweeds!  This only leaves him with Alyssa, and who wants to depend on that.

Yes. Makes me wonder if Tiffany is orchestrating these eliminations knowing that Xavier is her fiercest competition. "Eh, let's just evict all his possible votes before jury."

If so, she's a bigger puppetmaster than I originally thought.

One of the biggest reasons the CO exists is because the players know that after this, it will simply never have a chance of happening. Production likely won't have to do anything to prevent it because the HGs won't let it happen again.

As people have said, Xtian is a vote for X in jury. But also, Xtian's a strong competitor that will protect X and be someone that can get CO members that are threats to him out since he can't do it himself.

I don't think she has been doing that on purpose actually or she likely would have said that in one of her cam talks. It is working out very nicely for her lol.

And smarter houseguests! It's not just the diversity that has made this season interesting and entertaining, it's casting people who are overall more intelligent and resourceful than the usual vapid spokesmodels and aspiring influencers. We've certainly had some smart and multifaceted hamsters in the past, but they haven't predominated.

Right, at best it's been a 1:4 ratio 1 educated/intelligent hammy to 4 dumb ones, but I would say we've had very savvy fun players who have been pretty trashy human beings especially on the feeds, like Allison and even Jun did some it too in S4. Might be a generational thing there too, more of the sweet spot casting ages are now from the oldest part of Gen Z? IDK. The worst we got this season was Whitney admitting she's a Sandy Hook truther? Not sure what else woulda slipped out had she been around longer.

This Clair and Brit conversation is cracking me up. First off, I LOVE Claire.  They're talking about how they need to get out Christian this week, even though they both love him, and want to keep him.

But it just keeps being a variation of this :
Brit:  How can I do this?  When do I tell him?

Claire:  I think tomorrow, that's when I have to tell him, to deal with the fall-out

Brit:  But I (as in ME not YOU) am in SUCH a tough spot!

Claire:  What about Big D?

Brit:  Lying to him.  But you don't understand, the JOKERS are in SUCH a tough spot!

Claire: I'm just going to keep shuffling my cards while you keep telling me about how everyone voting him out is really all about you and your team and you some more.

People make alliances with people they feel most comfortable with.  Which is why we see SO MANY white dude-bro alliances.  They see each other, they know what they’re getting, they can say “yeah, let’s make an alliance.  Cool”. AND scene.  The six CO members have almost nothing in common that I’ve seen except one thing – they know what it is like to NOT be considered for an alliance (hypothetically, of course – again, left brained).  They know what it is like to be one of the 2, maybe 3 people like them in the house.  Maybe if white Dude-bros had to watch 20 plus seasons where there was only 2, possibly 3 of them represented, they would also get a pass for creating an alliance.

Yep. Essentially, if systemic racism didn't exist, then the Cookout would be "just like" all of the other all-White alliances over the years, but obviously it DOES exist, so a group of minorities (or women, for that matter) choosing to band together is actively NOT "just the same" as the all-White/all-male alliances we've seen over the years.

I was interested earlier in how CBS would handle it (and I agree with @peachmangosteen that they probably won't do anything since this is probably sort of a once-in-a-series opportunity here), but that's just from an interest in the logistics of how networks handle stuff like this (one of the things that interests me about BB is that we can see how the proverbial sausage is made), but yeah, I don't actually feel bad for anyone because of The Cookout, at least no more than I felt bad for, say, Tommy, for being evicted over Holly because Jackson spun a better line of bullshit to Cliff and Nicole. That's just how the cookie crumbles in BB. I wouldn't be surprised if they ask Claire back in a future season if she gets eliminated early in jury.
