Kyle sure got her new nose out of joint when Garcelle talked about Paris.   Kyle is such a delicate little flower.  What Garcelle said was nothing, no big deal, Kyle's family wasn't insulted.

Kyle always gets her back up at even the whiff of anyone ~criticizing her family.  Meanwhile, she can say whatever she wants.

I can't with the Sutton drama.  Someone looks at her too hard and she bursts into tears.

I'm wondering why Crystal is on this show. She apparently has scads of money, and her husband is successful, she's elegant and intelligent...and she's quite the elitist snob. Why would she do this tacky show?

The same reason the others do it -- fame, money and opportunities.  We live in a celebrity obsessed culture where celebs are treated better than regular citizens and almost worshipped.  The only thing they have to give up is privacy.  I think most people would give up privacy for the spoils of a celebrity life.

Maybe her husband encouraged her to do it so he could have an affair and it would give her something to do so she would stop nagging him with her schedules and demands.

It worked for Kelsey Grammer iso it could work for the Lion King guy.

How ridiculous grown woman keeping Sutton out of the joke.  Why???  Why was it that Crystal agreed with anything Kyle said but whatever Sutton said was an insult.  Crass with no class.  Why are they so ashamed of their faces?  Kyle who are you with that nose?  I can’t even tell Dorit and Erica apart anymore!

I like your thinking here.  This whole season could be for the purpose of rehabbing the Hilton family's image.  Kathy is being portrayed as a kooky, fun eccentric who plays innocent pranks and doesn't glam it up.  Paris is just a misunderstood youth.  There has to be a reason Kathy decided to be a part of RHBH after all these years.

Then let's all say nice things about them on social media, and maybe Kathy will hit the road!!

When helicopter-hair twirling, lickety-splitting, “I’ll have a spicy margarita” no matter how high end the restaurant Kyle Richards scolds at you to act like a grown woman you know you have truly hit rock bottom!

Kathy Hilton is a dottering old lady, I am not age shaming her, even if she was 40 I would say what I said, she teeters around oblivious to everything and everyone, she could not figure out how to plug in her fan, woke up her sister and had an all night snacking and reading session in her bed not even aware her sister was trying to sleep...I would love for her to join everyone on the next activity just to see her try to make sense out of whatever would be going on.

I see her as a one and done...she is boring.

The Crystal-Sutton argument sounded a lot like the discussion between Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood on The Talk. "Don't you dare call me a racist and now I'm gonna cry white lady tears!" Uncanny.

White lady tears? Are those different than other lady tears? What does white lady tears mean?

The Garcelle/Kathy/Paris remarks is a dilemma for me. On the one hand, I like people who are direct, and that's how I took Garcelle's comment -- just direct -- like "here are my thoughts about something". She simply said, I used to wonder why do you show up to these events if you are going to be on your phone the whole time and not interact with anyone. That's a fair question. And, Garcelle's directness, was the impetus for the revelation that Paris Hilton was not rude and "above it", but rather suffered from debilitating shyness (not so shy that she couldn't come to the event tho, but side issue). So in this way, Garcelle being direct and asking the question was a net positive.

On the other hand, I have a long standing policy of never saying anything even remotely negative to a parent about their child.  I wouldn't have said anything, and because I didn't, I wouldn't have learned that Paris was not just stuck up and superior, she was shy. Dilemma.

For the race discussion, the guidance to always regard people as individuals, not as a representative of their race, gender, sexual orientation etc. is not an "outdated" idea-- it's wisdom.  Any kind of "All Xs are Y" thinking is what's outdated and wrong.

Yes.

It refers to situations where a white woman does something that brings negative consequences--or even just witnesses something negative--but then wind up being the one getting comforted because it hurt their feelings and made them cry. The tears of non-white women often don't get the same kind of sympathy. Black women, for instance, are historically stereotyped as being strong and angry and even impervious to pain compared to fragile, ideal femininity of white women.

“White lady tears” are not desirable.

As opposed to “”White lady urine” which smells like rose water and lavender.

According to racialist provocateurs who strive to divide us.

Also a good way to earn sympathy when doing something wrong or when you are losing an argument and need to divert things away from the stupid shit you did.

Sutton hasn’t quite mastered the art and technique of it the way, say, Brandi from RHOD has, but she can hold her own for sure.

“I think Kathy appearing to be so out of it may have to do somewhat with the fact she has such poor vision and is scared of contact lenses.”

Maybe, but a Redbull is the last thing to be drinking at 2am if you’re planning on staying in and going to bed soon.

I don't buy her act.  She knows what Red Bull is and even a regular soda wouldn't be the best thing to consume in the middle of the night, when having insomnia.  Also, the cameras were filming this, which is not usually the case while the ladies are sleeping.  Seems scripted.  Kind of like "The Simple Life..."

Definitely. I'm an insomniac and wouldn't dare drink Red Bull or even soda super late. Another thing is Kathy is used to sleeping and getting up whenever she wants. Kyle mentioned telling Kathy Housewives is a job and you have to be place at a certain time. Kathy's wealthy, her kids are grown, and I don't think she typically works.

Agree. Kathy's old dingbat blond character comes off like The Lil Kathy Show. I keep waiting for Desi Arnaz to slide in with an, "aaahhh, Lil Kathy, you so crazy" followed by a fake sounding laugh track, then Lil Kathy trying to purse her overfilled lips into a pout.

That's sounds like some real racist crap.

It is! Sometimes in ways that cause serious suffering to non-white people. Though in this case it's just more that thing where being somebody was told they did or said something racist and made it about how horrible that was, as opposed to how insidious racism is.

lol she does wear them sometimes. A lot of us hate the way we look with glasses.

I’ve worn glasses since I was 18 and I am 56. Can’t wear contacts and not a candidate for LASIK. It does suck.
I used to think I looked better without glasses until My eyesight got so bad that My face looks like a blob if I don’t have my glasses on.😜

I'm a little younger but my eyesight really went south when I hit surgical meno and I would be sooo blind without contacts plus reading glasses. Ugh!  I don't understand how she can handle not seeing well.  When I wake in the morning one of the first things I do is put my contacts in so I can see without all the blurriness. I am seriously considering getting LASIK because I HATE having to rely on contacts all the time.  I would love it to be like the olden days when I had 20/20 vision.  If I did not wear contacts or glasses I would be legally blind from driving.  I have tried and the dashboard and street signs are just huge blurs. Scary!
