Trials and Tribulations of Juicy and Tre...

Wow. Well I think I'm out on Joe - guessed 36 months. Glad I upped Teresa to 12 months. I did call the staggered sentencing though.

But are we using the 53 or 41 month sentence?

Maybe it's up to the official scorekeeper, Rhetorica!

I kinda think if you got anywhere in that range, it's a moral victory.

I really think it only benefits the girls to have them serve at different times.  If it were just the two of them, I would guess they'd prefer to just serve concurrently and get it over with.  I bet Joe goes first so Teresa can continue to make money while she's "hot."  I'd hate to have 18 months of prison hanging over my head for four years before I could just get it over with!

I couldn't do it.  I have a genuine phobia about jails/prisons - I can't even watch OITNB.  To know that you had it coming after 4 years - argh.

What a dumb fucking network. No wonder their ratings suck. They are sitting there talking about the case and wondering if they will serve time.  Hey Newspeople, why don't you do your job and report the breaking news that one of them has been sentenced instead of pondering the likelihood of such an event?

Yes. While the sentence was already out there they were quoting a tweet from Miss St. Louis saying the Guidices were good people who just got caught up in something.

I happened to catch the reunion episode from 2012 when it was revealed that Joe was bonking some woman on his desk at work when Teresa walked in on them. She said "he's my husband and I love him and of course, I forgive him" to which Joe replied ":yeah and it cost me plenty believe me. I had to keep going back to the jewelry store to exchange what she didn't want, usually all I have to do is hand it to her and she's happy". At that, Teresa displayed her long diamond earrings and diamond bracelet with a triumphant

smile.

I thought Teresa forgave Joe for calling her a name while on the phone in Napa.  I thought they denied the secretary on the desk at work thing.

TMZ said he has to enter alcohol rehabilitation while behind bars, too.

Whoa.  Wine cellar is probably empty by now.   I wonder if this has to do with that DUI charge?

I know - they don't do "headline news" anymore. It's all old news stories on a continual loop, and "personality" shows like Nancy Grace and Dr. Drew at night.

But will it really be 3 years? The cynic in me sees Juicy out in a year, year and a half.

From what I understand, I could be wrong though, there is NO early release in Federal Prison, Joe and Teresa will have to serve their ENTIRE sentence behind bars.

Yep. The jewelry was Juicy's penance for calling Teresa a Cunt while having phone sex with his girlfriend.

Teresa denied the whole secretary on the desk thing, but Juicy didn't.

So if Joe goes in Teresa will wait almost three

85% and there is a bunch of other stuff like halfway house and home confinement    http://www.attorneyhamilton.com/faqs/how-much-of-my-federal-sentence-do-i-have-to-serve-.cfm

I don't know how Teresa could stand to wait through that long of a sentence before going in.  I would put the girls with some relatives  and get it over with. Then when they come out their girls may have been reprogrammed by some decent people.

Whenever I have heard of this before, the person with the shortest sentence serves first.

This is why I asked about serving the full sentence. On Mob Wives, for example, the husbands were in Federal Prison and Drita's husband was released earlier than expected, IIRC. Or maybe I confused husbands. He--or another husband, went into a half-way house and then home again home again jiggidy jig.

I think she should go first-ridiculous by the time she goes in these crimes are 14 years old-"justice delayed is justice denied." But please get her off Bravo.

My guess is that Teresa's career with Bravo is effectively over. Trying to defend her behavior by saying it is scripted and producer driven won't make anyone at Bravo happy, nor will saying that they pay to furnish their house.

I can count, but thanks. ;-) I was going with the 41 month sentence, which is 3+years.

So which is it? I'm seeing 41 mos.

The first report by NJ.com was the wrong amount of time. They corrected it shortly after, it is 41 months behind bars for Joe.

Joe was sentenced to 41 months on four counts, plus 12 months on an additional count, to be served concurrently. He'll also get two years probation and will have to pay $414,000 to Wells Fargo bank, plus $10,000 in fines. He will be able to surrender himself.

If Teresa is also sentenced to prison, she will first serve her term, then her husband will serve his. The judge said that immigration services will not act on Joe's deportation case until after his sentence is served, and she recommended that he participate in an alcohol program.

This is from People.com, so who knows how accurate all of it is...

From TMZ (a few extra details):

Joe Giudice has been sentenced to 41 months in a federal prison for wire and bankruptcy fraud -- but Teresa Giudice is still waiting to hear what her fate will be.

Joe must also pay $414,588.90 in restitution and enter an alcohol treatment program in prison.

Before handing down the sentence ... the judge chewed out Joe and Teresa for being dishonest with their finances -- pointing out the government had to dig up details they should have disclosed up front.

Both Joe and Teresa dissolved into tears as the judge tore into them.

The judge said ... if he sentences Teresa to prison, he will stagger the sentence so at least one parent will be free to care for their 4 daughters.

As we told you ... Teresa's game plan was to beg the judge for leniency -- she could get more than 20 months in prison.

Story developing ...

I'd want to get it over too.  Then she can be done and deal with a teen named Milania.

I think someone else - anyone else - would be better suited to deal with a teen named Milania than Teresa.

Teresa (and Milania) might be better served with Teresa spending some of Milania's teen years away at 'college'.

It is both.  He was sentenced to 53 months but some of the counts run concurrent.

Thanks for all the updates, y'all!

But will it really be 3 years? The cynic in me sees Juicy out in a year, year and a half.

Something like a minimum of 85% of a Federal sentence must be served (the most one can get off for good behavior/taking classes is only around 50 days a year, not counting the first year). So, Juicy is going to be locked up for pretty much three years.

I am not getting any work done today! But it's been worth it. Happy to see both of them go to jail.

Ack. Me neither!  I'm trying to get some more stuff done, but I all seem to do is refresh PTV and twitter!

Will Teresa be sent to prison today, like straight outta court? Or will she have a mandatory surrender date? I mean I haven't heard her sentence yet....but I am figuring she's gonna get some jailtime herself.

I don't know as the term "happy" applies to how I feel.

I think I'm feeling more "relief."

I think it was so important for this judge to send a strong, clear message that Crime Does Not Pay, and she's done that.

I am glad that the sentences will be staggered so the girls have at least one parent with them.

Now just to see what awaits Teresa...and when they have to report to begin serving.

Tre is going asunder.

Actually I just read the alcohol treatment which I think takes another 4 months off.

That will never NOT be hilarious.

Bravo really needs to consider doing a special "Bravo-lebrities:  Where Are They Now?" and feature all of these chucklefucks that were/are frauding and going bankrupt, the ones shipped off to The Big House, all of the failed business ventures, etc.

And at the rate these Bravo clowns are going down, it could probably even be a monthly program.

Hear that, Andy?  Get on it, buddy!
