At the start of the show, David said that he scheduled his trip at his convenience, knowing that Lana may or may not work into it.  Now he said that if he had his plan, he would have proposed to her by the middle of the trip to have more time with her at then end of the trip.  Yet, he's condescending to the audience for thinking that he's irrational and delusional.
