Season 16 Live Feed Discussion: Keeping an Eye Out

You like this group less than last year's group, iRarelyWatchTV36? Andy alone made me want to hurl stuff at the TV at regular intervals. And Zach is a thousand times more likeable than Jeremy was at his most tolerable.

I only saw bits and pieces of last year, and that was well after it started.  But yes, Andy could be rage inducing.  Actually, yeah; that whole group [Aaryn/Amanda/Andy/GinaMarie/Judd/McRae/Spencer] was an assemblage of horrible human beings (BB personality-wise).

ETA:  The only 2 I found I could stand - when I was watching - were Elissa and the Asian-descent woman, whose name I can't recall right off the top of my head.

This season was the first time I've ever started watching from the beginning and paying real close attention to mostly everything.

As someone who has watched every season and had the feeds since season five, this group barely registers to me. At this point, if you asked me any of their names this time next year, I might be able to give you Donny. Possibly Zach. I find them boring and mildly irritating, but that's about all the feelings I can muster. Certainly not the rage and intense dislike I've had in prior seasons. This season to me so far = "meh". Apart from that one awesome day when Zach didn't sleep, lost his mind, got himself nominated and the Bomb Squad blew up. That was kind of fun.

As for Frankie. I feel so bad for him, I do. It would absolutely suck finding out like this, and I know a big part of him wants to be with his family. Not contesting that at all. However. I am not liking the possible consequences it has for the game. It has already been brought up that everyone should just give him HOH tomorrow, and I can see the members in the dominate alliance forcibly telling all the non-members that they would be horrible people if they didn't give it to Frankie. Because the dominate alliance doesn't care, and the people who don't have that support will be too intimidated to try, and therefore are going to be yet another person down.

And then what? Does the first person to nominate him have a huge target on their backs? Does he get a free pass for several weeks? I don't really think this will be an issue for more than a week, but a week can have a huge impact on the game. And every word I type I feel like a bigger douche, but I'm watching a game show, and right now I kind of care about what is going to happen on the game show, and to the players I do still kind of like. I really, really wanted Donny to win (one of) the next HOHs, and the Detonators to sweat this week, and that has basically no chance of happening now.

Jocasta seems to be struggling with the concept of Catholicism as a form of Christianity.

I think she's getting the Protestant/Catholic differentiation mixed up with Christian/non-Christian.

Unfortunately, a lot of Protestants do not believe Catholics can be true Christians.

Not going to lie, a part of me will miss these Cody, Frankie, Zach cuddle and gossip sessions in the HOH bed. It's the only fun thing about Cody being HOH. It's like a sitcom.

Same! Let's hope either Frankie or Zach win HOH so they can continue!!! More Zach then Frankie even though I do want him to get a pic of his gramps. Edited by SiobhanJW

I keep trying to filter things through Caleb's head, and I keep cracking myself up:

Caleb:  Well, I don't like pickles and she done don't like bananas, but if we think about it, she's gonna like me when she finds out that I'm a pickle, wrapped in a banana, sort of like a puzzle, cause this pickle can be confusing, like a riddle wrapped in an enema (I believe that is the word I'm looking for). Kinda reminds me of how much my momma loves me, cause, she loves herself some melons.  Now I know that when she's pickin' a melon, she's just lovin on me, cause she'll just thunk my head, and then thunk a melon until she finds a melon that sounds like my head....that's when she knows she's found the best one.  I hope Amber likes melons.  I'm still workin on how I can hide the melon inside the pickle inside the banana... because that's true love. I know she'll understand that!

I feel like that paragraph represents way more thinking than Caleb has ever done.

I've been trying to imagine what a toothpaste banana pickle would smell like.  It couldn't possibly be a good smell.

Dammit.  Frankie really got to me with all his lovely words about his grandfather and his family on BBAD.  Maybe because I was pretty much raised by wolves - and not the kind of wolves that protect their offspring, more the kind of wolves that eat their offspring, not for survival but just for fun - I always find myself in awe of people who have close-knit relationships with their families.   The letter he read from his mother brought me to tears, it was so completely loving and exactly what Frankie needed down to the very last word.  It took a long time for me to understand my family was not like everyone else's, and even to this day I sometimes still forget, so hearing about how truly inspiring, supportive, adoring and wonderful Frankie's family seems to be just based on what he's said, makes me extra sad for him.  Of course, because I am Irritable, after all, I felt he went on just a touch too long, but I was impressed that he delivered the whole thing without unloading a truckload of "ummmmms" and "likes", and he really wasn't ON like he normally is.  When he is truly himself and not the dramatized, caricature version of himself, he's remarkably charming and intelligent.  His passion and excitement about using his winnings from TA to build a school in Africa is beautiful.

The whole religion discussion downstairs was boring to me (I was raised with no religious anything, so while I have a basic adult understanding of it, I'm just not interested) until Jocasta had to admit she doesn't necessarily know what she's talking about all the time.  When Amber specifically addressed Cody, right in front of Caleb, that God gives grace to those who are humble, and then praised Cody for being humble, I had to giggle because that was so obviously intended for Caleb to hear.  Not that Caleb could possibly put it together and realize that he's NOT humble as God wants him to be, especially since he said the only person who can explain religion in a way Caleb can understand is his brother, the pastor.  It's probably safe to assume that Caleb likely had a tutor to help him get through Sunday school.  The whole Jonah and the Whale story must still confuse the shit out of him.

I might be as sick of the Germitard as Nicole is by now.  It will be a relief when she can wear regular clothes again.

I saw him kiss her, he always lays in bed (or stands there) and stares at her watching her sleep. It's super creepy and one night he kissed her without her knowing. It was so disturbing. I pray these boys stick to their plan and backdoor Caleb next week. I think that is one thing the house can come together on. No one can stand him.

OK, I have to ask, where did he kiss her? Touching her at all while sleeping is grossly inappropriate, but if he kissed her mouth? I would raise ten hells to production if I were Amber. So not fucking cool.

Did anyone else hear Christine mention the other night that she was telling the story in the DR about how she has gotten out of 7 speeding tickets, all of which were because she was definitely speeding, by simply "batting her eyelashes" for the officer?  I find that incredibly hard to believe happened once, much less 7 times.  Also, it's impossible to prove, which makes it seem extra shady.  She seems hell bent on trying to convince everyone that she is hot, but in a "everyone outside of this house thinks I'm really hot and sexy" way that is very desperate and pathetic.

I caught that, and it sounds like she's living in a delusional world of her own creating, not too different from Caleb's world. I hate to be mean about someone's appearance, but looking like Geddy Lee is not gonna get you out of tickets, honey. Now, if she had a winning personality, looks could be put aside, but her personality is even uglier.

He's telling wonderful stories about his grandfather Frank, though. He said his grandfather was the one person in his family who never had any reservations about him being gay. The other members of his family would be worried about life being hard for him and Frank would say "Don't worry! He's perfect!" Frankie said that was awesome and it wasn't like his sexual orientation could be reversed. And who was sitting right next to him when he said this? Jocasta, who's claimed she HAS reversed her sexuality. Awkward! (In Dani Donato voice)

Wow, Jocasta. Wow. Does anyone know if she asks her castmates if they want to be saved beforehand? Or is she just reading the bible with them, and BAM, you're saved? I got that impression when I heard Cody talking the other night. What if they don't want to be saved? Kind of presumptuous.

LMAO - you are so wrong for that, but that is so dead on.  As for getting out of tickets, I don't know if it always has to do with being pretty, I've found I've mostly gotten out of tickets (knock on wood) for mostly just being cool, calm and collected.

I think with some forms of religious fevor you don't neccessarily ask, or use tact.  I mentioned it before, but I took a flight from LA to Chicago, and the entire time I was seated next to a woman who was a born again Christian.  She spent the entire three hour flight explaining her religion to me, in spite of the fact that I clearly had my 700 page Torts casebook out and open with my highlighter in my hand, and I had told her about 5 times that I was in law school.  I clearly wanted to read, but it just didn't phase her.  And she was a very nice lady, I just think for some people it doesn't matter.  The stewardess looked at me with such pity...oy

Not being a long time fan of the show, I can't honestly answer that - but going off just what I saw of last season, then yes, this group is really tame and boring, respectively.

And its pretty much 99% likely Cody will have spent about 4 weeks with a hot woman he desires, and never even got a kiss.  I don't care how "not like that" you are - and I don't like him as a BB player, and honestly hope he gets BD'd soon - but that is straight up lame.  And no wonder people are questioning your sexual orientation, dude.   Wuss'd out on not BD'ing Caleb, endangering (in theory) Donny in the process, and then with her giving slight invitations her last 2 full nights in the house, you don't even try to get a lip lock from the woman you lusted for most.

Keep bringing that weak sauce, bro.

But, but....he never got permission from Derrick and/or Frankie.   And they would find out.

I can just see him telling her that he will kiss her , only to fret about it and then go to the HOH and come back and say he just can't.

That's how Cody rolls.

I would really love if Donny and Jocasta won HoH tonight (they are the only ones that would shake-up the House).  To a lesser extent Amber and/or Zach might but "the alliance" could easily get into their heads.  If the rest of the house is planning to try to throw it to Frankie, this might give Donny and Jocasta the perfect opportunity.  Otherwise, it will be another predictable week.

Yeah, Christine's story about getting out of 7 tickets made me chuckle a bit. I knew the story was fake when she said she was honest with the cops. He apparently asked her if she knows why she got pulled over. She said, "yes, because I was doing 84 in a 70". Who knows how fast they are going when they see a cop?  I mean, you can guess, but to know you were doing exactly 84 when clocked by the radar?

Frankie's whole speech to the camera about his grandpa started out nice and sincere, but it turned into a monologue. With perfect breaks for devastating crying. I know, I'm evil for knocking his speech, but it was all just too much and had an air of "we are the most amazing, successful family in the world, and don't you wish you could be like us?" The going on and on about how his sister is the most successful artist ever in existence was a little too OTT, IMO.

I don't know if Jocasta could do it.  She's currently sleeping in the bathroom because she's been vomiting so much due to eating something she shouldn't have.

For once Caleb isn't being creepy, unless you count him helping Amber give the kitchen a complete scrub down.  For the past couple of hours they've cleaned out the fridge, taken out the garbage, and removed everything from the counters to give the counters a good scrubbing.  Amber's talking about setting aside a special cupboard and having a special basket in the fridge so Jocasta can do a better job of keeping her food separate so she'll stop getting sick.

Yeah, that sounds fishy.....even if you know why you got pulled over, its not quite the right move if you're batting your eyelashes and using cute to try to get out of a ticket.  I've always used the Steve Urkel method...."did I do that?"

Follow it up with a sheepish smile and a "gosh, I'm so sorry, I'm just on my way to x, and I didn't realize I was going so fast"  If you're looking cute thats the time to try to throw out those boobs...or, well, whatever Christine is working with.  And even then its not foolproof enough to get you out of 7-8 speeding tickets.

I don't know if Jocasta could do it.  She's currently sleeping in the bathroom because she's been vomiting so much due to eating something she shouldn't have.

WTF?!??  She is sick again?  What is going on with her?  What is it she ate?  I'm just wondering if its that the food may be bad because of the general lack of house food cleanliness standards, or if she is purposefully eating something she is intolerant of or allergic to.  Throwing up constantly sounds like food poisoning to me, but why isn't anyone else getting sick?

I believe she's not able to digest gluten - at all.  I guess with her food being mixed in with everyone else's she sometimes eats the wrong thing.  That's why Amber was talking about creating special places in the cupboards and fridge just for Jocasta's food.

However, you're right that it's surprising that no one else has gotten sick.  Several of the HG's have been seen leaving food out, one of the reasons there's an ant problem in the kitchen.  That's why Amber started cleaning the kitchen.  Caleb was helping so he could spend more time with Amber, and of course no one else offered to help.  Anyway, Amber went through the fridge and threw out anything past it's expiration date and some food that smelled bad.  Caleb checked the cupboard food and found ants inside a jar of peanut butter!

There's constant talk among the kitchen cleaners to get everyone to clean up after themselves and wash their own dishes, but clearly a lot of them aren't doing it.

BTW, the HG's are starting to forget to edit themselves.  Christine bragged that her husband is lucky because she (Christine) loves anal sex.  She also wants to punch Amber in the face because Amber asked her how her date with Cody was.  (I guess Christine and Cody took some food into one of the bedrooms and ate it together).  It was probably on joke on Amber's part but Christine was furious.  Really, if Christine would stop hating every woman who spoke to Cody and advertising her crush on him, no one would make dating jokes about her and Cody eating alone together.

Cody also was surprised that Zach wears condoms during sex, Cody never does.

And not too long ago Frankie told the guys that he's had 150 partners.  Although the guys seemed 'incredulous', they were high-fiving Frankie and called him The Man.

Again, Amber comes across to me as an incredibly nice person.  Who is constantly being bashed by everyone behind her back for no good reason.  When Jocasta started to feel bad last night, Amber jumped up to go get something to take for her upset stomach.  That she took it upon herself later as Jocasta worsened to find a bigger, better solution to Jocasta's problem and handle that solution herself speaks volumes about the kind of person she actually is.  I'm not a Jocasta fan by any stretch, but I can't see anyone else in that entire pack of assholes besides Donny who would do that for her strictly out of the kindness of their hearts.  Caleb helping doesn't really get points from me because he's not doing it for the right reasons (Jesus, I have seen too many episodes of The Bachelor).  Amber cleans that nasty bathroom a lot, too, only to find that within hours those heathens have messed it all up again.  She is a MUCH better person than I, because that shit would set me off and I would be getting mighty salty at this point toward the people who treat her like she's just there to be housekeeper and give them someone to bitch about.  Going into this season, I never would have guessed that I would be all FREE AMBER, but this is what it has come to.

Also, they are going to be sorry that they evicted their Chief Cook and Bottle Washer, Brittany.  I suppose Amber will just be expected to step up and do all the cooking and food prep from now on, too.  Last night someone (Nicole?  Victoria?) was bitching because Brittany had the unmitigated GALL to eat peaches that they had cut up earlier, and without even asking!  I would love to see a statistical count of how many times that same person ate up food that Brittany prepared without so much as a please or thank you.  Fuckers.

You know, I've recently cut glutens out of my life, and it doesn't seem that hard to maintain.  The biggest things you have to worry about are breads and pasta IMO. Most of what I eat is either in a bag/box with a gluten free label (because they are gluten free crackers, chips or cookies) or its a fruit, or its a piece of meat.  And it seems odd that if you know you're that gluten intolerant why you wouldn't be super duper careful with your food?  I could maybe see where you might mistake a gluten free piece of bread for one that had gluten, but I would think if you're super intolerant you would be on the lookout for that.

Ants inside a jar of peanut butter....yuck, I didn't even think ants liked peanut butter.

I remember Devin calling Brittany out for leaving stuff out in the kitchen/not cleaning up after herself.  And she copped such an attitude....I can't honestly believe that grown people really expect someone else to clean up after them.  Unless someone has cooked dinner for everyone people should at least be able to wash their own dishes and leave a counter clean....

I don't know, it sounds like Christine likes Cody, maybe she is trying to sweeten the pot?  Or explaining exactly how she got out of those speeding tickets?

150 guys?  Thats a lot of guys.  If he started having sex at 16, and is 31 now thats like 10 guys a year....

When I read that Frankie told Caleb he's his best friend in the house during his mourning, it made me wonder if Caleb is the goat Frankie really wants to end up at F2 with. Besides Zach, I can't think of any other male that would consider going to the end with Frankie and I can see Frankie not wanting to hitch his wagon to Zach. And I suppose Frankie encouraging Caleb to continue wooing Amber is to cause Caleb to eventually evict her out of spite for not recognizing his awesomeness. I used to think Frankie's ongoing encouragement was intended to make Caleb look like a fool but Frankie apparently thinks that Caleb's going to love the way he looks on TV -- like prince charming or something.

I think Zach is a mean little shit and if the others weren't so boring, I'd dislike him a lot more. I even overlook his put on persona because at least it's somewhat entertaining. But I have to say that I enjoyed during the show when Frankie asked who had Caleb in their pocket, and while he was answering his own question with "Amber," you could see Zach's arm pop up, with his finger pointing directly at Frankie.

My fingers are crossed for an "outsiders" win tonight so that the action resumes in the house. It's way too boring at the moment.

Seeing the posts about Caleb's banana plan made me go to Joker's to see what else was posted about it and this line made me laugh: "Frankie suggests shaping aluminum foil into the shape of a banana but Caleb says that won't work because aluminum foil is not a banana."

Regarding some of the guys bringing eyeglasses without lenses into the house, do people really wear just eyeglass frames in real life? Is it just guys or do girls do it too? I've never seen or heard about this before and it has struck me as so ridiculous ever since the first poster here mentioned that those glasses had no lenses. I know Cody brought some in the house but did Derrick bring a pair as well?

ETA: I forgot that I wanted to comment on this:

Oy vey, I sure hope someone in Cody's life hears about this and has a serious conversation with him. What a dope.

I agree that 150 is a lot of sexual partners by the age of 31, but while I would normally be incredulous about that number, especially since Frankie is so hyperbolic about pretty much everything, I actually can see it being possible.  Mostly because he lives in NY and is "famous", and also because he is a very good looking guy and a "type" that a lot of gay men are really into.  If he was living the hard partying life he said he did, then he may have been hooking up with a different man 3-5 nights a week.  And I don't pretend to be an expert on anything to do with homosexuality, but a close friend of mine who is gay told me himself that in his world, gay men do tend to have A LOT of partners, in some cases they end up sleeping at least once with just about everyone in their own social circles, and it's just a casually known and accepted thing.  In my hetero world, I have not found that to be the case - promiscuity is on a much lower level and for the most part you may know a woman here or a man there who sleeps around with people from bars or has an affair with someone in their circle, but it's not anywhere near the scale that my friend had described to me.

Wow, Christine just continues to get more gross.  Generally speaking, I certainly do not think she's hideous.  Wearing contacts instead of glasses would take some of the focus off of her huge nose, she has a pretty smile, decent skin, a nice figure.  When compared to the truly average person, she's fine, but unfortunately for her, when she is in a house, on television, with women who look like Amber, Victoria and Brittany, she just isn't going to shine.  As someone said before, in her own context she may be considered The Hot Girl, but she is waaaaay out of her context.  Just shows that she, like Caleb, isn't really as confident about herself as she tries to appear if she feels the need to tell people that many cops and other people found her super attractive, and that she's so cool that she loves anal.  I mean, really, Christine.  Ew.  Calm down.  Telling other people that Amber isn't really so good looking does not make Christine look better, she is just revealing her own insecurities.

I remember Devin bitching about Brittany leaving things out the first week, but I think at that time he was talking about her tendency to leave her coffee mugs sitting around in places she had spent time.  In the kitchen, I have seen her putting things away and wiping surfaces more than anyone else except maybe Amber.  The ants are going to be so excited to see Brittany leave!

I haven't seen anyone who wears the glasses with NO lenses, I've only seen people wear them with non-RX lenses.  I haven't seen any even being sold that simply don't have any lenses.  But as far as non-RX glasses, I've seen a lot of girls with them, the nerd kind except they are supposed to be "nerd-cool" not "nerd-nerd"

I don't blame Derrick, he has a bad eyebrow situation going on, I would look for creative ways to cover that up too.

Link to comment

I wonder if Frankie is taking Truvada then.

I thought the glasses were just props production left around, but I can totally picture Cody bringing them in so he had a lot of different cute looks.

Link to comment

Maybe Derrick should consider wearing lenseless frames on his stupid forearms.

Yeah...I don't really understand the whole "nerd chic" as a fashion movement, as if simply wearing glasses indicates that someone is a nerd, as opposed to merely indicating that they have poor vision which needs correction.  I wear contacts, so does that mean I'm not a nerd?  But when I take them out, I wear glasses, so during that time I am a nerd?  Stupid.

I have seen documentaries that sort of support your point about the gay community, but most of the documentaries (and I mean no disrespect) seem to say that a lot of it is based  on the fact that "poppers" or "uppers" or normally prevalent in the gay community.  It seemed like a way to deal with the stress of so many people in society telling you that you're doing something wrong by having the sex you feel is right.  But it also may lower inhibition and make you more likely to have more partners.  I don't think a lot of people who are straight have to deal with that pressure.

I do agree Christine shouldn't have to live at the Notre Dame, she won't break any mirrors or cause children to have nightmares, but she isn't the first woman I think of when I think "women who can use their looks to get out of trouble...."  Not even in Arizona....

But I totally agree that it doesn't make her look any better to tear down Amber.  Men like confidence (or so I've been told) and it doesn't sound confident to call another woman ugly

I'm starting to think  the main reason that most of the HG dislike/hate Amber is because they had certain stereotypes about her base on her look but she is not living up to those stereotypes. Instead, she is being the complete opposite of what they think someone like her would be, therefore, they assume it is because she is being fake. So, no matter what she does, they will continue to dislike her, because it's not about who she is, it's about who they think she should be or is.  It's them, not her.

Frankie said that was awesome and it wasn't like his sexual orientation could be reversed. And who was sitting right next to him when he said this? Jocasta, who's claimed she HAS reversed her sexuality. Awkward! (In Dani Donato voice)

HIS sexual orientation couldn't be reversed doesn't mean that it couldn't be reversed for someone else.

150 is an alarming number to me, regardless of sexual orientation.  Though it makes sense now that sex is all that Frankie talks about.

changed sexual preference to sexual orientation (orientation is correct terminology)

Derrick's actually the only one I think looks better with the glassessories. That's what they're called now. :P

The feeds aren't as scandalous this season because of the lack of rampant ignorance. I still like many of the cast members, though, and I still have a feeling the season will get really good as it goes on. The stupid twist that isn't working does seem designed to eliminate less competitive hamsters, which means a bunch of pumped-up egos in the endgame creating ridiculous drama. It could actually work out, I think.

It's me - I have a personal problem with Derrick's forearms.  I find them to be strangely skinny, and wish he would work them with squeeze balls or something.  He's not necessarily a circus freak, but those stick arms really jump out at me, and since I don't like him at all, I enjoy making fun of his stupid little appendages.

As someone who has watched every season and had the feeds since season five, this group barely registers to me . . . I find them boring and mildly irritating, but that's about all the feelings I can muster. Certainly not the rage and intense dislike I've had in prior seasons. This season to me so far = "meh".

This. Honestly sometimes I miss last season's cast. At least they brought out a lot of feelings. And they fought, so the feeds were interesting. I wish Derrick and Frankie hadn't been cast because I think we'd be seeing a lot more entertainment if they hadn't, especially from Brittany, Cody, and Zach.

I was thinking about this almost immediately after he was informed, but I felt too bad to post it. Thanks for doing it first! This really sucks from an entertainment/game perspective. It's made even worse by the fact that it's Frankie, who I really want to see get evicted.

I don't know if Jocasta could do it.  She's currently sleeping in the bathroom because she's been vomiting so much due to eating something she shouldn't have . . . Amber's talking about setting aside a special cupboard and having a special basket in the fridge so Jocasta can do a better job of keeping her food separate so she'll stop getting sick.

I believe she's not able to digest gluten - at all.

This is the first I'm hearing about this. Are you sure you aren't confusing Jocasta and Christine? Because Christine doesn't eat gluten (though I'm not sure if she's actually allergic or just trendy) and is allergic to soy.

I remember Devin calling Brittany out for leaving stuff out in the kitchen/not cleaning up after herself.  And she copped such an attitude.

This is surprising to me because Brittany was one of the few people who actually cleaned in the early weeks. Weird!

When I read that Frankie told Caleb he's his best friend in the house during his mourning, it made me wonder if Caleb is the goat Frankie really wants to end up at F2 with.

I have no doubt. I think Derrick would also like to use Caleb as a goat. This might be the silver lining if either or both of them win HOH because everyone wants Caleb out, but neither of them actually does. But eh it'll probably end up boring with Derrick just decreeing it not allowed and the alliance being like 'ok master.'

.

Yes it does, Jocasta is full of shit. There's also a good chance she is just exaggerating her "crooked ways" to make her relationship with Jesus seem even more powerful similar to how many born again's dabble in witchcraft before they are saved. I wonder what her fee is for praying the gay away.

I don't understand why everyone doesn't clean constantly just for an activity to do.

It's possible that I've got them mixed up, but Amber was saying something about keeping Jocasta's food separate might help her.

I, for one, don't want Frankie to win HOH this week. Sorry he lost his grandfather but houseguest shouldn't through him the comp. Frankie chose to stay to play the game and he needs to play as well as everyone else. No handy caps. Plus he just won HOH.

This house needs a big shake up. As long as it is not Derdick, Frankie or Christine, I'm good.

My dream is a Donny/Jacosta HOH, putting up Derrick & Zach vs Frankie and Cody. Let them battle it out, then if the BOTB losers get POV, throw Christine up as a bd. see about splitting Nicole/Hayden off with Victoria (since they nommed her) and whatever HOH Loses. Then remaining HOH as tiebreaker to evict one of the terrible detonator men. If it's Donny, then he goes for Derrick (if he's still up) to cut the head off the snake.

I'll have to go back and see. I've heard them talk about Christine's allergies and they've talked about Frankie's health concerns, but I haven't heard anything about Jocasta.

I don't think Frankie was anywhere near going up on the block next week so the only thing people are talking about throwing the HOH to him is so he gets a picture of his grandfather.

These people are idiots. I'm sorry, but who gives a fuck? It's a game and Frankie chose to stay to play it. He shouldn't get special treatment. I guarantee that Frankie himself wouldn't give a fuck about letting someone else get HOH if a similar situation had happened to them. He's playing the game harder than anyone, besides maybe Derrick. Well, and Donny, but Donny can't really do anything.

This would be beautiful and would seriously shake up this boring, predictable season.

I'm just afraid that even if Donny gets HOH, he won't really be able to go for his actual nominees choice of Derrick and Frankie because of Team America. But hopefully he'd just sell some bullshit about nomming Derrick or Frankie as a pawn and then claim he couldn't convince the other HOH from nomming the other one. It would be SO fun to see Donny do all this. And Jocasta would be fun too because The Detonators act as if she isn't even there.

Thank you for saying it better than I could.

Frankie is playing the game hard and would put up anyone in his way no matter who died.

And the crazy continues...

Jokers - 07/24/14 06:50 AM

HOH, Cam 4, 5:57am. Frankie/Zach/Cody talking about Caleb/Amber. Zach: "Could it get worse?" Frankie says "He could propose to her"

Cody says "He told me he went into DR and said something." Zach: "Like what?" Frankie: "Asked if he could buy a ring." Feeds cut immediately to fish, for about 30 seconds. When feeds come back, the guys are talking about how much engagement rings cost in general.

he is a very good looking guy

Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder -- I was just thinking the other day how unattractive Frankie is. He's lean and toned, but to me, he is not a good looking man.

I appreciate, the fact that there are some non-beauties in the house, if the show limits itself to beautiful people, they'll exclude a lot of potentially good characters and players. I don't remember many female contestants who have been downright bad looking but there have been a number of males (I know this is totally subjective but I'm thinking in "conventionally attractive" terms) so I found it refreshing to see someone like Christine cast on the show. I don't think she's hideous or anything but she's not the show's typical female contestant. Bitterness and jealousy are unattractive qualities to be sure, but I have a little sympathy for the younger women sometimes (and I'm not just talking about Christine) because they may not have had enough time yet to get over the lessons they learn while growing up regarding a woman's value being based on how attractive she is and their insecurities get the best of them.

Thanks for the answers about the glasses. I was also surprised last year to see so many of the women wearing false eyelashes. I guess I'm just really out of it.

Yeah, just yesterday I saw him talking to someone like Zach and described himself as "heartless" and I thought I sure do hope you heard him Zach.

I thought it was interesting on the last show that Derrick and Frankie explained why they wanted to keep Caleb in terms of the alliance but they didn't show them talking about their personal reasons for wanting to keep Caleb.

Are Amber and Caleb in any other alliances? They aren't in the "detonaters" and know that the BS had a time limit, so I'm trying to recall if they think they have established fall-back alliances for when jury time comes around.
