Back in the day, I'd only go with "if looks could kill" when the old folks would wait until:

• the order was completely rung up,
• the receipt was printed,
• the cashier would announce the total,
• and the oldster then - and not until - would slowly dig through a purse for the checkbook, which (for reasons I've never understood) had 10 rubber bands wrapped around it,
• look for a pen (which they never seemed to have),
• ask what the date was,
• slowly write out the name of the store,
• ask the cashier to repeat the amount,
• and then complete the check and sign it.

Justifiable homicide.  Not a juror under 60 would vote to convict.

I remember Nah-tah-lee’s little mother calling Naht her Golden Child and I cringed.  Of course she is.  She is their ticket to the promised land.  Once Naht gets to the US and she is pregnant, Naht will whine incessantly to have Big Mike spend his last credit card mile to ship Momma over as well.  
Same goes for Jazzmin.  Her parents see their 2 daughters in LA as a step to getting there themselves.  I’m really surprised that the sister wasn’t there for the family lunch.  I wanted to see them all blink Finnish Morse code at each other mocking and raking Blake and his mother over the coals.  
Other thoughts: I wonder if Uncle Bojangles is contributing part of his SSI payment to the farm upkeep.  Get him some dentures or something so he can eat some protein!  And why isn’t there a rambunctious pack of farm dogs running around the property and barn cats galore?  Where is everything?

I think you answered your own question. Bojangles gets his protein from eating the farm dogs and barn cats. But those were finished long ago and now he subsists solely on Sunday pancakes and the occasional opossum.

TANIA IS THE WORST! She's so fake, she tries sooooooo hard to be special and different and "not the norm" - the lady doth protest too much. If she feels she has to constantly prove to the world that she's so woke and hippy-dippy and wants to stick it to the man, it's all for show. Tania's just not as "extra" as she wants the world to believe. 

And she shouldn't be in a relationship. Tania is incredibly selfish and lacks so much insight.

Agreed. If Jasmine aspires to be a trophy wife she has to earn her keep. By being not only beautiful (ha!), but charming, a good companion, a good hostess, and arm candy. Not a vapid plastic slug with no conversation, no wit, no charm.
