For Cereals January 14, 2020 Share January 14, 2020 Everything that can be said about Snake-gate and beastiality-gate has been said, but that last segment...Why couldn’t Kenya and Cynthia just go to Tanya directly and tell her? Why bring it up with the whole group? That just made Tanya look bad/naive. Plus, it’s on film with audio and recorded. I think Kenya only brought it up because she was jealous of Tanya’s relationship. Even if Paul is a dog, he at least acts like he’s in love with Tanya, which Kenya doesn’t have. 1 11 Link to comment

More power to her; I don't even bother to unpack when I travel, much less try to make my accommodations feel homey. I hate that Cynthia looked and seemed hurt from the situation though. I’m not sure why Marlo felt she had to say anything sassy to Cynthia but okay. Kandi’s facial expressions were so funny lol Kenya seemed really annoyed through out the entire thing. NeNe looked really drunk to me lol. I’ve never seen Porsha so passionate about one of the group’s dramas like this before lol 5 Link to comment

GonnahearmeRoar January 15, 2020 Share January 15, 2020 (edited) I use to be a fan of Nene’s but now I have such disdain for her. She is a very jealous and vindictive loser that thinks she is important. She has put those hands on Kim, Portia and cameramen. Her preachy I am on a new path is bullshit. She is going to hurt someone. Not to mention criticizing my favorite Andy Cohen for mentioning she wore the same dress twice. Hope the ladies band together and film without her. Her behavior is too erratic and she doesn’t take criticism without bringing on the beat down. Housewife status: Nene doesn’t want Greg Portia got a womanizer Kenya's man doesn’t want her Tanya’s is a secret womanizer Marlo uses men Cynthia and Candi are good These shows are less and less about being a housewife. This group of women are the most dysfunctional “friends” yet the most watched. I can stand the drama but not repeated physical violence. Portia learned her lesson. Now's she starting trouble between Tanya and her man, even if the cheating rumor is true. I've never liked Kenya, but it was a peripheral dislike. She was annoying, but there. This season, however, she is vile. The epitome of "misery loves company." As soon as Tanya said, "my relationship is perfect," that was Kenya's cue to pounce. Just because Paul actually likes Tanya and Marc treats Kenya like a mosquito he has to swat whenever he's in town. And if you're going to be messy, Kenya, at least be smooth about it. Her transitions were sloppy AF. "Me and Kandi are wives, Porsha and Dennis call each other husband and wife, and Cynthia was a wife, and will be one again, so, if your man was cheating on you, would you want to know?" WTF does calling out the other ladies' relationship status have to do with anything? Then there's, "I asked Marc 'why do men cheat?' and he said, 'once a cheater, always a cheater.'" That's not answering the question. I really can't stand her. As ridiculous as Nene is, I'd take her any day of Kenya. Cookie lady must be angling for a peach as well. I will never understand calling each other "husband and wife" but you're not married. Same for long-ass engagements. If you're living together and splitting bills, just go to City Hall and make it official. Why buy a ring and propose only to be in engagement limbo? It just seems like some commitment-phobic nonsense to me. We can play house, but if things don't work out, I don't have to deal with legal ramifications. Either you're all in or you're not. But that's just me. I don't like half measures. I hope that this is the last of this snake business. I didn't care when it was brought up and I still don't care. dosodog January 16, 2020 Share January 16, 2020 Speaking for just myself...... Marriage does not necessarily equal commitment. I spent 20 years, unmarried, with Stupendous Man. I've never once thought of that as a "half measure". We went through good times and bad times, poorer and poor, sickness and in health. We never strayed from each other. Ever. And the reason we never got married was because it wasn't important to us to insure we were committed to each other by making it "legal". We just were. I didn't call him "my husband". He didn't call me "his wife". However, other people did, because I think overall, society likes categories. I'm not knocking marriage--it is very important to the vast majority of the population. It just didn't matter to us. It just mattered that we were together. 1 14 Link to comment

And I meant no disrespect to anyone's union. You and your partner were on the same page about relationship expectations, and that's how it should be. To bring it back to the show, I'm talking specifically about Tanya and Paul. I didn't even know they were engaged. Was it mentioned last season? But considering how evasive she was when Kandi? asked when they planned on marrying, I'm assuming they've been engaged for a while. That's when I made my comment about making it official if you're already living together and splitting bills. If you have no intention to get married, then why ask/accept in the first place? Just be upfront and say, "we don't want to get married, things are fine exactly how they are." Don't bother getting engaged. If that were an option that was presented to me, "things are good, let's just leave it alone." I'd walk because we'd be at an impasse, and that's not what I want. But as long as Tanya and Paul are OK with their relationship status, then fine. If they like it, I love it. Edited January 17, 2020 by Sheenieb 12 Link to comment

But as long as Tanya and Paul are OK with their relationship status, then fine. If they like it, I love it. To the bolded: Yes, last year it was mentioned that Tanya and Paul had been engaged for a long time, like years, and there was no wedding in sight. That was what caused the whole dust-up in Japan, when the fortune teller said that Tanya would marry, and Nene said maybe she’d marry someone else, and then Tanya was crying and Nene fake-apologized. I defended Tanya at the time, but... I’m in agreement with you about marriage vs engaged vs boyfriend/girlfriend. My husband and I were together for three years, living together most of them, before he put a ring (an engagement ring) on it. We never called each other anything other than girlfriend and boyfriend, because that’s all we were, which was fine. After I became engaged (and we set a date relatively quickly, with a deposit on a venue, etc, even though we didn’t get married for over a year), when people asked my status, I would find myself saying, “engaged. Like, really engaged. Like, I have a wedding date.” And I realized I was saying all that stupid shit because of people like Tanya and Paul who seem to think that engaged is a permanent status. I tend to agree that I don’t know why they bothered to get engaged. I thought “engaged” was a temporary status. I just don’t know why people would put incorrect words on something when there are correct words right there for the taking. That’s another reason I have a bee in my bonnet when Porsha says over and over that she and Dennis are “family.” They are not family. They share a child. Only upon taking marriage vows will they be family. Does Porsha really think she and Dennis are family, the way she thinks no one should advocate for the devil, or is she just being lax in her language? I could sooner forgive the former. My takeaway? Just...be accurate. Kandi never made Todd anything he was not. He was a boyfriend, then a fiancé, then a husband. Each one has its own meaning, so why say one when you mean another unless you’re trying to be something you’re not? (And I understand that we have no control what other people say about us; I’m just talking about the words we choose when we label our relationships. Sometimes someone at work will be talking to me about their boyfriend, and they ask me if it’s the same with me and my boyfriend, and I don’t correct them, because I know they’re all up in their head stories and they’re not overly invested in my status at the moment). 10 Link to comment
