Those are definitely not her eyes.  On the show her eyes are like slits.  I've never seen a weight loss make your eyes bigger.  Those photos are definitely the result of those app filters.

She does have a lung condition.  I don't remember if she was on oxygen before she contracted Covid (which can leave many needing oxygen)  but when someone is that large, their lungs struggle (like many other organs.)

That was my thought, too. Lenses for farsightedness can make your eyes appear larger. But just when did Tammy start wearing glasses in the first place? I've only seen her with them on since the rehab. Has she needed them all along but didn't have an eye exam until she was there?

TLC said that Tuesday's episode will be the season finale.  That's the tenth episode.  Don't they usually have twelve?

eta:  I looked on Wikipedia.  Last season (Season 3) was 12 and Season 2 was 10.

So IF the separation story is true, and that's a big IF, because I'm thinking more in terms of martial spat (and who hasn't had some of those) for upcoming season drama, then did disabled legally blind morbidly obese Amy maybe bamboozle her sister's brother-in-law into marrying her so she could have the children she always desperately wanted?  Who's gonna drive her ass around anywhere she wants to go? All we've ever seen is a very doting husband. 

She had both those kids against medical advice, she actually tried like hell to get pregnant.  So now every damn time I hear her bitch & moan & cry about how is she gonna do it, it's so stressful, she doesn't want to be a bad mother, wah, wah, wah, it pisses me off.  She's damn lazy & always has been.  Look at the condition of her house before she had any kids.  Michael worked, sorry but that was HER job to keep her home clean.  And I'm bet that every time she asked him to do something, he always did it.  Hell, I want to give him an award just for pushing 650+ lbs around.  

Anyway, enough ranting from me, I feel better now.  LOL 🤣

Michael filed for divorce? She moved out of the house even though she has the kids, & he's the one filing for divorce? Something strange is going on here.

Also, I find it interesting that they split as soon as Amy got the 2nd kid she wanted.

Yeah, I had read somewhere that Amy was the one who moved out, which makes no sense.  The house they bought IIRC cost less than $40,000, so with Amy's TLC salary, they may have made a big down payment on the house or even bought it for cash, depending on how much savings they had.  So, I don't think paying off the house would be a problem.  So why would Amy, with two kids, move out of it?  And now Michael lives there alone?  So I guess Amy, Gage, and Glenn are living with Tammy in the family house that Amanda spoke about.

I read somewhere that part of their marital problems was that Michael didn't want the kids on TV.  I also read that he's jealous of the kids.  Maybe neither of those things are true.  Who knows.

eta:  I just read the article and I see they also mention jealousy of the kids and also laziness.  He sure wasn't lazy when it came to pushing Tammy's wheelchair all those years, but yeah, he may not be the most helpful around the house when it comes to two crying babies.  But if that's the reason, Amy will have even less help and more of a load by living with Tammy.

I cynically agree 100%.  These so-called reality shows need 'a hook' at the end of each season and there can be no 'happily ever after' because that spells the end.  Just ask Darcey.   Or the Roloffs and their farm.  To be continued...

I truly hope this is manufactured drama, but maybe Michael's just had enough of doing the show & doesn't want his kids to be growing up in front of millions.  If so, I totally get it.  He never seemed really comfortable with all the cameras.  And in addition to bitching about caring for the 2 kids (she intentionally conceived), she's bitching about the stress of filming too?  Then don't do it!  Put your family first if it's a problem! 

In the event this divorce story is real & sticks, then it's a terrible shame.  By the looks of it, none of the 5 siblings grew up with a father, so not that Michael couldn't still be a great dad, but it would be a damn tragedy if those boys won't have a happily married mom & dad.

Probably.  Going to the eye doctor is usually last on the list, especially if you don’t drive or read books.   They probably have specialists come in to the center.

So, he filed, and she gets the protective order?   THat seems a little backwards, but maybe his filing is in retaliation for her wanting to separate.   Supervised visits with his sister and mother supervising seems wrong, it should be a neutral location and neutral parties, not his relatives.

It was in this article, but since the Sun isn't exactly a journalistic source, but a tabloid, I'm suspicious about any of their 'facts'.  It is where Amy asked for supervised visitation,  but she was OK with Michael's sister and mother supervising.     I would only be happy with a neutral location, and a visitation supervisor that is not related to Michael.  I wouldn't trust a relative of the partner I had a restraining order against, or made a complaint of domestic violence against, being able to protect the kids.

It's supposedly a family home that Amanda spoke about in one of the episodes.  I think she said it's a home that has been used by various family members over the years.

The picture may well be filtered, but weight loss in the face can impact squinty eyes. It's possible that part of the reason Tammy's eyes appear so squeezed is that her cheek fat is smooshing upward.

It seems pretty self-defeating to divorce because you disagree about filming the kids. Chances are, the parent that wants to film them is going to be allowed to do that on their own, so they'll still have all the problems that come with reality fame. I guess you might feel that older kids would benefit from having a home where they get a break from being filmed, but they're babies, and Amy's kids are not going to have anonymity whether their parents are together or not.

Maybe Michael is also upset that the show set him up as a uninvolved dad by their (possibly intentionally deceptive) editing.

Something is not adding up. Michael always participated in helping with the first son. Also, he helped take care of Tammy for years.  At least on camera.  What we have seen this season may have been TLC editing. Also, this is a very dysfunctional family. Everybody keeps saying they are supportive and close. I think they are enmeshed and that is an entirely different thing. They may very well be poisoning the well.

And Tammy thinking that her husband is going to be helpful is the biggest joke of all time.

I think Tammy has a lot of "magical thinking", which for someone in her situation is understandable.   I can't imagine being physically trapped by my own body and not having at least some  magical thinking at the first sign of success.   Even though she made it to her first goal (the surgery) she wants a husband and everything else she hasn't ever had.  She wants a "normal" life, even if it's on TV.   

I liked that she had a wedding she liked but expecting a husband out of Caleb is just more magical thinking.   I'm glad he is still somewhere he can be cared for because Tammy needs to  learn to take care of herself.

There's a photo today of Tammy on Reddit standing with the Pioneer Woman.  Tammy looks incredibly short, similar to the photos upthread (on the previous page) at the SICP.  Some on Reddit are saying she's sitting in the wheelchair, but it looks like she's standing in front of the wheelchair.  It looks like she's no taller than five feet or something.

Check out Brittany's shirt.  She's a big PW fan.

I think she's seated in the chair. Don't forget she still has an enormous ass under her and it makes her appear taller. I've noticed that on 600 Lb. Life when the obese patient is seated in the examining room next to the average sized people they bring with them.

I weigh about 275 lbs. and I hate being in pictures next to "normal" sized people. I always look like I was photoshopped onto the picture and the scale is way off. I don't just look fat, I look like a giant! 😂 That said, I think Tammy is standing in that pic. I've seen her standing in a couple of pics with fans, and she looks like she's maybe 5' tall.

You may be right, the Pioneer Woman is 5' 10" tall. I've read several estimates that Tammy is 5'9" which I don't believe because they also claim that Darcey Silva is 5'7".  One other source said Tammy is 5'5" which seems more realistic. Whenever I've seen photos from the side of her standing, she seems to be unable to fully straighten her legs which could make her appear shorter. Also keep in mind that she's in the foreground of this photo with PW and Brittany. Chris and the young man are standing in the background. 

There was some discussion of whether or not she was standing on her own in this photo. She appears to have very short legs and her torso is much closer to the ground than the others. It's almost like this was photoshopped to remove her wheelchair. Her feet in white crocs look like they're added: 

Sitting or standing? The jury is still out...
