Was Amy drunk/"medicated" at the reception? I know the big bottle she was swigging from was a non-alcoholic beverage, but she was over the top bizarre. Her toast to HERSELF (oh, I mean bride and groom) was bad even for Amy, but then later she was sprawled out on the floor. When she tilted over to look at Gage it looked like she was chewing on something. WTH?

S04.E02: Can't Have Your Cake and Eat It Too
whydoiwatch replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in 1,000-LB Sisters
I watch the show enough to keep up, still hoping for a healthy outcome for Tammy and Amy. What I can't get over with Amy is how arrogant and condescending she is when talking about Tammy. Amy is always criticizing Tammy's eating habits (look in the mirror), she is just lucky she hasn't had the health consequences Tammy has. She acted like she really didn't want to go and see Tammy at the rehab center. If Tammy has the surgery and loses weight, I wonder how Amy will react. Amy is ignorant and some of her mouthiness is scripted, but I can't stand her. She goes on and on about being a mother (how many times does she say Gage in an episode, he is soooooo cute though) and how busy she is. Her house is filthy and she isn't watching her diet. Did she say she weighs 270 when she was at the doctor's over eating crackers? Her disappointment in finding out the new baby is a boy makes me think she will be stupid enough to risk another pregnancy hoping for a girl next time. Does Michael work now? -
Medical helicopter transfers are very expensive. My husband required air transfer from our small local hospital to a larger medical center after having a heart attack. By air, it was about 15 minutes to the specialized heart care center. Our insurance was billed $32,000+, this was 4 years ago. I am curious about what necessitated a helicopter ambulance for Spurgeon. If this episode was staged, I hope proof of that comes out and Jessa gets slammed for it.

After having a heart attack, my husband was air lifted from our small local hospital to Cincinnati for care. This was in 2018. Our insurance was billed $31,000 and paid, but I think for a slightly lesser agreed upon amount. We were fortunate the cost was covered and the quick transport time resulted in rapid treatment and a good outcome. I hope Jill's father doesn't have medical cost concerns as he worries about his wife's situation. If Jill does start a GoToMeFund, it will be interesting to see how she spins it.

I thought the exact same thing, but was hesitant to say anything.
