Anna's all, 'why didn't you tell Finn about Violet" and Hayden's all, "like you didn't tell Robert about Robin".  And in my mind I reached into my tv and smacked the taste outta Hayden's mouth.

<snip>

Nik snuck into Windemere, got caught by Charlotte and told her he was her new bodyguard but that papa wants them to be quiet about it.

  1. How the FUCK would she know that? And she can just STFU with that since she doesn’t know JACK SHIT about the circumstances and the situation is NOWHERE NEAR COMPARABLE to her lying to Finn about Violet.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
  2. This Nik is just the stoopidest STOOPID who ever Stoopided!!!🙄🙄🙄🙄

Jason boo hoo hoos about the little wife in prison to Carly, who points out that they can't be ride and die anymore because of the kids.

I can't believe it took Jason this long to figure out that maybe—just maybe!—he has to start putting his kids first. What a total asshole. But typical.

And LOL that Carly has to tell Jason to put on the breaks with his criminal activity because the kids need him. Gee, ya think?

I’m torn about that Carly and Jason conversation. I agree that Sam has herself to blame for her current predicament since she wasn’t thinking about the danger and her children when she started conning Shiloh. However, Carly is the last person on the planet who should get to make these comments. How many times did we see her get herself in trouble and Sonny or Jason had to save her? Also, she completely lets Jason off the hook for all of the danger he brings into his family’s life.

I’m hoping this isn’t a one-off conversation and it is addressed when Sam gets out of prison. If anything, this should kill whatever best friends agenda the show has been pushing lately with Carly and Sam. Carly wasn’t remotely concerned with how Sam was doing or her state of mind. She was only angry by how it was affecting Jason.

This isn't the first time that a character knows something about another character's past history even though they've never met or weren't around at the time. Hayden knew about Finn's engagement to Anna from the internet. Maybe she learned it there too.

Hayden fans haven't had anything to be happy about since she returned and since

Spoiler

she's literally on her way out the door

I'll take my good lines where I can get them.

  • Love 1

Okay, someone sent the Canadian version. Speaking of good lines, Ava had a great one being so uncaring about Charlotte.

There were so many people on today, and still too many 1:1's. My pet peeve.

This is the most emotion Jason has shown in forever. Should have done Jarly. Carly has a point, but she shouldn't be saying it. And she looks like she wants to screw his brains out. Oops, he doesn't have any.

Nik really truly is an idiot. And selfish and psychotic to the core.

Ugh, WTF with this?! No, Avery is NOT your daughter, bitch. And NO, Scout is not yours. They can both drown in the harbor. "The sad fact is that Scout's not going to remember Drew, so you are her dad." I hate this show.

Maura was delicious in her scenes. Seriously, I don't know how this woman does it. She's brilliant.

Someone did apparently tell Hayden about Robin. She said "from what I heard". She and Anna were soapy goodness.

Between the gushing over Sonny's looks, Finn in general, and Jason's parenting skills, I needed to try not to throw up my dinner.

I was going to be super gracious and say that Roger actually did a decent job today until he busted out that lame accent. Please shut up.

Well, I nevah! The accent is what lets us know he’s playing Drewww, and not that otha fellah, Franco. What would you have him do, change his mannahisms or posture or somethin'? That would be too much like acting!

Seriously, I generally like Roger, but this has been ridiculous. He had an opportunity to do something here, even in the midst of a stupid storyline, and totally dropped the ball.  The accent will not be missed.

He really, really is!!  Here he is telling Jax that he needs to neutralize Valentin before letting his mother know that he's alive.  And yet, in the 3 days since he's been back in town, he's been almost caught by Laura, Jason and Nina at Jax' house.  Has been caught by Carly at Jax's house.  almost seen by Anna and Jason on the docks.  Has been seen by Charlotte at the docks and now at Windemere.  Has shown himself to Ava and Sam may have seen him driving the van when he helped Cassandra escape.

I really don't want to keep beating this dead horse, but her "hearing about it" is not the same as someone telling her? Or maybe it is. But even if someone told her OFFSCREEN, obviously, Robert not knowing about Robin wasn't something that was KNOWN by most in PC. Hell, those who did know the actual truth, only about two are left--Monica and Bobbie. Everyone else is gone or DEAD.

But it's still apples and oranges, and Hayden can still just STFU when it comes to throwing shade at Anna, when it comes to her own past and history and conning.

*Yeah, still an Anna and Robin apologist here. a PROUD one.

Anna wasn't bothered by it, and if anything she came out the winner. She clearly pointed out as you did that it was apples and oranges, not the same thing at all. Hayden responded by pointing out what was similar and then I kind of forgot how it went from there. I just thought they were good scenes because they both had a point, and it was great to see FH and RB together again, alone without a guy who can't act and is the most basic, bland, boring character on this show. I'll always see Rebecca as Greenlee when they are though.

Hayden said she wasn't concerned about the years Violet and Finn lost out on together because "Robin turned out alright." It was very obvious that Hayden is jealous of Anna and desperately wants Anna to feel insecure about Finn/doubtful about the engagement esp. now that Violet is in Finn's life.  The line that she and Finn already have a relationship so there's nothing to rebuild made me roll my eyes. Anna can see through Hayden and is not threatened by her despite Hayden's efforts.

Brook should have been tossed out the door along with Sonny after that line about hasn't Lulu heard of a paper shredder re: the divorce papers. She's as unapologetic about her history of trying to break up Dante and Lulu as Hayden is about lying to Finn and keeping Violet away from her all this time.

Carly, you're mistaking Jason for Monica ... ugh about J&C propping each other regarding children.

  • Love 3

Yesss, we're back to regular programming in the U.S. today! The interrupted GH schedule has reminded me that despite my many (many) complaints about the show, I rely on it being in my daily life. There's comfort in tuning in for dumb-fuck GH shenanigans five days out of seven, I guess.

Case in point: Nikolas continuing his streak of stunning idiocy by hotfooting it to Wyndemere and immediately getting caught by Charlotte. I know Nik won't hurt Charlotte and was just trying to cover his tracks, but making deals with a child and swearing her to secrecy is never, ever a good look.

Jason, essentially: "Ah, shit, you mean these minor kids who call me Dad are going to put a damper on my criminal activity? Son of a bitch." Somewhere, Drew's ghost is scoffing and throwing his hands up in the air, because when he came to this conclusion over two years ago everyone acted like he was insane. Now that the idea is sanctioned by Carly, suddenly it's a different story. Funny how that happens.

I need 100% more Chase/Finn brotherly chats and 100% less of Hayden judging Anna and acting as if there's any tenable parallel between Robin's childhood and Violet's. I'm legit proud of Anna for maintaining her cool, calmly shutting that shit down, and laying it out for Hayden that she knows exactly what's up. Hayden's play for space in Finn's heart is entirely transparent, and even if it weren't, Anna is nobody's fool. Even if she doesn't feel Hayden could seriously threaten her and Finn's relationship, she's smart enough to know she can't let Hayden's behavior slide by without calling it out for what it is: shameless and insidious. ("Are you still engaged? Time passes, feelings change." Girl, please.)

I think that was supportive in a critical way, if that makes sense. She was saying they shouldn't have divorced. Plus Olivia herself told Lulu to shred the divorce papers so she would be even more hypocritical if she tossed Brook out for that.

So, when are Finn and Anna getting married? Will they double with Nina and Valentin? I'm sure since they're so desperately in love that they won't delay it a minute and maybe even run off to the justice of the peace or to Vegas and tie that knot so tight that no man may put asunder.

Poor Anna, stuck with this loser.

I don't know why he's suddenly the greatest thing Port Charles has ever seen. It's like he's Sonny with a stethoscope.

No, she's insinuating that Lulu accepting that Dante wants a divorce makes her not truly committed to/not good enough for Dante IMO. I know what Olivia said. I thought Ned should have tossed Brook out for commenting about Dante's marriage when she hasn't been around and doesn't know what the F has been going on, and for being insta-buddy buddy with Sonny again.

But finn and anna have zero chemistry. I had read a rumor that melissa archer, who played natalie on OLTL and i thought had great chemistry with Michael eaton, might be heading over to gh as a new love interest. I'd like to see that.

She's been headed for GH since Michael Easton came on the first time around.

I find he has a ton of chemistry with the Chase actor. He's more easy going. It feels like he's trying to make something happen with the women, although I thought he and Alexis had some chemistry.

I would find it hilarious if they use this as an excuse to finally get Jason out of the mob. I could only imagine the reactions from Jason fans who claimed that it was completely out of character for BM’s Jason to walk away from the mob and that family man Jason would be boring. I don’t enjoy Sam and Jason as a couple anymore but seeing them become Dream 2.0 would bring me joy.

  • Love 5

I give it two weeks till Jason's doing something illegal again, two months tops, during which Jason will spend the time telling Carly and Sonny how wonderful they are, looking constipated over missing Sam, and saving various youngsters around Port Charles.

After that, he'll be back to being a thug and hitman. They really don't want Jason to be anything else. But more importantly, SBu doesn't want Jason to be anything else.

Brook was getting judgmental on a situation she knows nothing about and insulting Olivia's daughter-in-law for bailing on her marriage. It's okay for Olivia to comment on the situation, not okay for an outsider like Brook.

Also the pony. It's Olivia's decision whether pre-school Leo gets a pony, not Brook's.  (You can probably tell I think it's a terrible idea.)

He had chemistry with Alexis but they were writing them into a relationship. Ditto with Chase.

Like Chad Duell, it seems like ME has the most chemistry with people he's not being written into a romantic relationship with.

Now having seen the scene, what's so frustrating about the "Edward and Lila would love this!" moment is that it would have been perfect with just the Quartermaine and NO SONNY.  You could have still had Brook and Liv sniping, but then had Ned be the one to chuckle and comment on it.  But cramming Sonny in to make that comment when HE MURDERED THEIR GRANDSON was beyond tone-deaf.

As for Brook's remark about Lulu...I don't get the big deal.  She's a Quartermaine who made a bitchy slash insentitive remark about someone she doesn't like, I'm not seeing the need to clutch pearls.  And I'm glad that there might be tension between Brook and Lulu because I know Amanda Setton can bring that (I to this day still think Setton's Kim and Melissa Archer's Natalie could have been the next Dorian and Viki, the parallels were there!).

I think that Finn and Anna have lovely chemistry, and I also happen to find Michael Easton good-looking and think Finn is a fabulous character. So, it's in the eye of the beholder. I loved his friendship with Alexis, didn't find much romantic/sexual chemistry there, and thought his chemistry with Hayden was OK.  I'm glad that Anna (FH) is back and look forward to seeing Finn/Anna together again, especially with this new co-headwriter. I've been liking what I've seen so far with him.

Lulu never did anything to deserve walking in on Brook trying to rape her boyfriend (now ex-husband) Dante, and Lulu and Dante have been through a lot together as a couple since then before this painful decision to divorce. Brook knows nothing about their relationship or divorce. She reminds me of Carly making a dig about Sam or Elizabeth re: Jason, or of Kim trying to rape Drew then sleeping with FrancoDrew and shading Elizabeth.  A former attempted rapist doesn't get a pass on her actions and then trash talking her almost victim's now ex-wife just because she's a Quartermaine.

I guess it’s good that someone finally brought up that Jason and Sam are being crappy parents even if we had to hear it from Carly. I don’t think it’s been mentioned since early last year when Alexis had to fly to another country to pick up Danny and Scout because Sam was doing something illegal with Jason and Spinelli.

After seeing Valentin’s scenes with Anna last week and Ava today, I think Nina is the problem with the pairing. He’s a poorly developed character but I think he might have potential away from Nina. I’m hoping this confirmation that Nina is playing Valentin means the couple might finally be dead soon. Although that means that we’ll be stuck with Nina and Jax. I really wish they’d cut their losses on Nina. CW was good in theory when the recast was announced but I haven’t loved her acting and even if it was good, there’s nothing compelling about Nina that makes me want to watch her.

Of course Lulu didn't deserve it (and I'll say for the record - I don't love that that's part of Brook's history, but I'm leaving that behind with the new face slash mostly blaming Carly, though I get some will hold that against her forever and that's fine).

But people do things to/against people that they don't deserve all the time on soaps, that's soaps.  For example, Georgie didn't deserve Lulu teaming up with Diego to blow up her marriage to Dillon because Lulu was horny for him or felt like cosplaying as Kathryn Merteuil from "Cruel Intentions" or whatever.

Yeah, in the beginning, there was a very noticable, sweaty effort to make Anna and [Dr. Michael Easton] capital letters Fun and Breezy.  They have dialed that back.  But what's the story here if the rumors are right about Rebecca Budig the actor and character leaving?  Because I can't see them getting married.

And are they ever going to blow up the whole Alex/LWB/FS thing?  Like, get on with it.

Echo every word on the next paragraph regarding Valentin, Anna, Ava, Nina. Especially Nina and for god's sake NO to CW. She is awful, simply awful. Maybe she should be with Finn.

For me the problem with Anna and Finn is the writing. For an engaged couple, they're so tentative. Neither of them seems all that committed to the other. It's kind of weird that John McBain and Anna were on fire together, IMO, and I feel like Finn and Anna are walking on eggshells all the time.

You know, I completely forgot that McBain and Anna were fiery (McBain is the only character of his I've ever liked). And to follow on to what @ulkis said, I actually did like Anna/Finn in the very beginning for like five seconds. The banter worked for me, sorry. Ever since they got together, it's been downhill ever since. It's like when you put Maddie and David together on Moonlighting, Sam and Diane on Cheers, etc. And yes, they do act tentative and walk on eggshells. It's not sexy or romantic. It's just weird and odd. But that's him so I guess that's how it will be.

While it was Carly's idea, Brook was an adult who willingly targeted, lied to, drugged, and attempted to rape the guy she claimed was her longtime/childhood friend. Carly offered her money to go after Dante, not a life-saving medicine for a terminal disease . Brook was not afraid her Q family was going to be murdered if she did not comply.   What I don't like is Brook first  shrugging off what she did with Dante - which is exactly what happened when her stepmom/Dante's mother brought up her going after another woman's man - and then threw a dig at Dante's now ex-wife. In other words, Brook is still acting like a low-life and she's only been back a day. Also the way she spoke to Julian at certain points plus the phone call he overheard, I totally get why he thought she was a prostitute.

I don't think the Georgie/Lulu/Diego stuff is remotely comparable because they were teenagers. From what I recall and read, Georgie and Dillon were  kids who got marriage because they thought he was terminally ill. That is not the same as an adult, committed relationship where a third party one of the two people trusted tried to commit a crime against the trusting person.

Ugh to Carly saying that Jason is Scout's dad and she won't remember Drew. Fuck off. Scout isn't that young that she won't remember Drew. The last time we saw her she looked 5 or 6. Will Jason actually take care of the kids himself now while Sam is in prison? Or will they have to stay at their real mom Monica's house for 2 years? Lol

I can't recall if I liked or disliked Brook back in the day. So far she has been annoying me.
