Please explain to me how it is more soap-y to have everyone find out about Drew and Willow's affair and they just move into having an open relationship than to have WIllow find out she's pregnant and she doesn't know who the father is.

Not that I want Willow to have a baby - months from now she could fall down the stairs while Michael and Drew fight when the affair becomes public knowledge.

But them just going "okay, I guess we're together now!" seems anticlimactic.

I wonder how much of this playing out like it has been-the revelation of the boinking to legal separation to Drew and Willow now acting as if said boinking was because they are in wuv (even though she told him to stay away and it never happen again) is due to Chad leaving and Frank being his assy self, not recasting. Shades of his attachment to marble mouthed Bechtel. And it’s not as if Chad was the first adult Michael, either.

I'm still hoping for a tock, Sasha's trauma porn be damned. There is no excuse for another unnecessary kid. I'm waiting for Willow to announce she's pregnant via Drew. You know the show won't be able to resist.

I'll be surprised if the show resists the urge to have Sasha, Willow, and BLQ all pregnant at the same time, complete with one dead baby and some baby switch shenanigans. Willow wouldn't be sure if Michael or Drew was the father, and then she'd end up with Sasha's baby in the switch, with the paternity test showing Michael is the father.

Michael and Sasha came to an agreement and I reminded why I have always liked them as a couple.

I was surprised how civil and polite the discussion between Michael and Sasha was. No histrionics, no blaming, no threats - just here's the situation, and what we want to do about it, without recriminations. Like adults. What a concept!

I thought that maybe that's how it would come out that Michael's the baby's father. But you never can trust this show.

If it were anyone but Sasha, I would be hoping for a tock. Michael doesn't need any more babies. The show doesn't either.

Very sparkly for the office.

I agree.  Sasha has been put through enough.  Another dead baby for her is just torture porn at this point.

My DVR didn't record today’s episode for unknown reasons so I missed all but the last 15 minutes. Did that happen to anyone else? Probably just some weird glitch with the DVR. Plus there was an ABC News report for a few minutes before that. I’ll have to catch it online tonight or tomorrow

Given the ubiquitousness of the internet, and dedicated news channels, why does their news division have to break with every goddamned little thing?  This ain’t the 1970’s anymore.

Sonny is stepping back from what business? Owning fake restaurants and coffee warehouses?

Maybe they’ll convert his mob business, which already doesn’t get involved  in anything really icky (drugs, human trafficking), into a black market animal rescue?  It would make zero sense, but this is GH, where a year old divorce settlement can seized in America by a Greek court without any notification or due process on our end.

i k ow I would find Sonny and Jaysus more palatable if they were surrounded by puppies and kittens all the time (couldn’t you just see Jason with a white Oersian kitten perched in his shoulder?).  Hell, maybe there could be a few cats that would always hiss and attack Carly on sight.  That would make a great running gag.

Honestly, I'd welcome a 'some body figured out how to activate Drew's mind control' if it meant we'd get a better character.

On any other show, this would be a set up for a sweeps whodunit. We've got Michael, Nina, Curtis all super pissed with Drew ( plus maybe Willow if she loses custody of her kids then learns Drew was also sleeping with her mom)

I feel like the writers are going out of their way to make Michael all reasonable with Sasha so that we like him and "feel the sadness" of what will happen to him.

Maybe. But I think it's meant to contrast what's going on with Willow, that she and Michael could have come to an agreement if they'd sat and talked about their options. The best outcome would have been them agreeing on shared custody. Willow could have stayed in the gatehouse while Michael moved back into the mansion.

It's a moot point with CD's exit, though. Unless Carly moves to take custody of her grandkids, they will be staying put with their mother.

I would bet money that that's coming. I don't look for spoilers anymore, so I don't know what Michael's exit will like. But I know it has to be soon, whether it's "dying," disappearing and being presumed dead, leaving town under his own power or leaving because of injuries/coma (again). Whatever it is, Carly is going to hate Willow and want to punish her, because everything was FINE until Willow started sleeping with Drew. Even if Willow and Drew have nothing to do with whatever happens to Michael, "You two made his last month hell!"

It's so stupid they haven't even tried to talk about it. Nina was the one who put the divorce wheels in motion, but Willow certainly could have said that she wanted to talk to Michael first. But instead she let Nina scare her into thinking she'd lose access to the kids. If that isn't a reason to talk to Michael first, I don't know what is. But Willow has been astoundingly dumb ever since she became enthralled by Drewfus.

I wouldn't put it past Carly to try for custody, and given that she never loses....

I think that Willow didn't push back on Nina because at the end of the day, she wants to be with Drew. She invited him for Christmas and she was going to his inauguration regardless and taking Wylie with her.

If Willow wanted to work on her marriage, or sit and talk with Michael, she would have ripped Nina to shreds like she used to do.

That's all true, @YaddaYadda. But even if Willow does want the divorce, why not try to work out custody issues with Michael first? That's what's so stupid about them not talking. Neither thinks the other is a bad parent (for now), but already Michael wants to use Willow taking Wiley to D.C. without his permission against her.

I don't want to watch yet another custody battle. I'm as tired of them as I am of pregnancies on this fakakta show.

Honestly, I think the whole thing is made stupider by CD's exit and the no recast. I don't know if they decided that the custody would not be solved amicably because they want to unleash Cujo on Willow and Drew over the kids. He is sending Willow divorce papers, terms of custody, but he won't be even the one fighting with Willow over the kids because the writers are chicken shit.

I'd suggest a drinking game for every time Carly snarls "I'm doing what Michael would want" but then we'd all need liver transplants and Sam isn't around to oblige.

So....are we supposed to think Jenz Sidwell raced out to the balcony at Wyndemere to watch his handiwork as Sonny's penthouse exploded in fire? But Sonny had nothing to do with the disappearance of the diamond(s).

It came off to me as so weirdly staged. Michael catching on fire was such a WTF moment - right after Drew declares his love for Willow, another WTF moment. Hey Jason, if Sonny wants to run into a burning room to save Michael, let him.

Joss has access to a gun just after her boyfriend has been murdered and her brother is flailing around on fire in her hated ex-stepfather's home. What could possibly go wrong.

I felt like I'd missed a few scenes at the beginning of today's episode because they seemed to leap into a few plot points without giving us any transition.

I've been watching those reruns that never seem to leave the Ryan/Kiki/Oscar era.  Back then, there was also a serial killer whose identity was already known to the audience, which fact heightened the suspense. But that was because the serial killer was playing the role of a well-respected member of the community (Ryan impersonating Kevin), which allowed him access to everyone and put everyone at risk.  It's hardly exciting when the worst of the worst, already isolated from most people, is the killer, and all of his victims are hospital patients.

Pet peeve, brought on by Willow's attire.  I get it's supposed to be a sexy style, but if you wear a sweater on only one shoulder, doesn't the other get cold?

Thank you to @Bringonthedrama, because I hadn't tied Sidwell's visit to the balcony to the explosion at Sonny's.  You're probably right, though I don't know how he managed the timing.

I guess the female WSB agent really is the worst sniper in history.

Who do we think Joss is going to accidentally shoot?

Michael, you did nothing to try to save your marriage! Unless sleeping with and impregnating Sasha is your idea of saving a marriage. If that's the case, okay, you tried.

Color me surprised that Michael realizes a facet of Willow's psychology—being whatever someone wants her to be—is due to her being in a cult. And color me more surprised that Sonny was actually kind of sympathetic to that. Carly would never show an ounce of empathy.

Sonny, are you going to feel ashamed when you tell Avery how you constantly belittled her mother and sued for custody more than once?

Of course Sidwell is the new owner of Wyndemere.

SWSNBN had her snow globes, Dex had his heirloom tomatoes.

He did hold them for Holly for a bit and was going to facilitate fencing them for her, so he's not entirely clean here.

LOL at Jack not being able to open a file. I can so relate to that.

WOW, Carly was being peak Carly today. Though I thought LW was very funny when Carly angrily asked Jason if he was going to follow her to make sure she didn't go to D.C. to drag Willow out of Drew's bed and Jason mildly replied, "No, I'm going to see Sonny," and she says, "Oh."

True, but I don't recall any scenes of Jenz finding out about Holly and Sonny making a diamonds deal. Did I miss something about Jenz declaring vengeance on Sonny and Jason for their association with Holly?

Same.

First, the good: Michael talking about Willow remaking herself for each of her saviours and Sonny agreeing with him. I have to admit, I was impressed.

Not so impressed with this perfect Michael just as he's about to be off the canvas.

The bad: I think I fell asleep during the Joss/Trina scenes. I kept thinking that dating these two should come with a Danger sign. Is 'heirloom tomatoes' the new penguins? How did ecology fighter Joss not know about heirloom tomatoes?

Can someone tell me why we have to have Sidwell move to Port Charles? It makes no sense -- he's an international criminal and Brennan and Anna both know him. Also who wants to live on an island? If you thought traffic took a long time, just wait till you try the ferry.

Did the PCPD not look at the footage of Dex's stabbing? How incompetent are they? It was so obvious that it was Cyrus doing it.

Even if the WSB owns it (and I don't see why they would), why wouldn't the PCPD ask to see it?

Telegraphed today with Carly telling Jason that she is going to fight for Michael even if he doesn't do it himself.

I guess now we know how Chad will likely exit the show. Michael will likely be sent out of state or somewhere in state to a facility to recover from his burns. He may even fall into a coma until he recovers

I think he overheard Sasha praying to God in church about her baby and how the SLS was the father, and I don't know if he knows that the SLS is Mooby's kid. Not his spawn, but close enough. And Sasha is Holly's spawn, so by association? Then there's the Jason factor.

I just got my eyes back after they rolled so hard watching the conversation between Sasha and the SLS. Like, when was he EVER raised by the Quartermaines? NEVER. Cujo kept him from them; Mooby forced AJ to sign away his parental rights, and illegally adopted him or whatever and so he was raised a Corinthos. He only uses the name Quartermaine when he's mad at his heifer of a mother and Mooby, or when it suits him.

Programming note via Wubs.

Thanks for the heads-up. For those with DVRs, check them each day as they will likely see preempted episodes as repeats

I also expect the next known preemption will be for Inauguration Day on January 20, depending on what activities there will be after the swearing-in and speech by the president

I'm not surprised Michael is being painted as the saint. It gives everyone even more reason to berate Willow, and it will pile on the guilt for her.

Even if CD were staying, I can't imagine Michael wouldn't get the hero edit. He never loses.

I crack up every time Willow worries that the "scandal" will cause Drew to lose his seat.

Talk about revisionist history! First, Willow was never drawn to the SLS. They got married because Diane thinks and Frank, that the show is set in the 1950s. So he and Willow had to marry in order for him to get custody of Wiley, and Sasha was out because of her con past. So Sasha and Chase made it look like they each cheated on Willow and the SLS  to facilitate their initial marriage of convenience.

That said, when she fell in wuv with him, she saw him as some…hottie, which yuck.

And Frank still thinks it’s the 50s that Drew fucking his nephew’s wife and having a relationship with her is some kind of scandal.

That ending was so hilariously bad.

So Sidwell skipped and danced his way across the living room at Wyndemere so he see the effects of his bomb go boom.

How long is it going to take Jason to realize that the last bomb that blew up in Port Charles was set up by Sidwell when he kidnapped Sasha.

Willow, the sex tape is blowing up your life, your marriage, your family and reputation. Be more worried about that instead of dumb Drew and his twelve constituents.

Jack speaking of 12 people, there are not many older men with grey hair tied up in a pony tail. Ask any one including Felicia and she will remember Cyrus being in the park the day Dex was stabbed.

Speaking of Dex, there is a free apartment available that we saw actually has a bedroom. Some one from the Qs mansion should take advantage of the open listing.

Also Cyrus in the elevator? Literally if looks could kill, Portia would be dead.

I kept seeing the pictures/video online and was sort of spoiled by the fire but I was under the impression it was in Michael’s office. So I was actually surprised by the ending today that it was Sonny. Nice treat. That said, it was weird all of the sudden Michael is looking at something the room goes bright and then the explosion and fire. Does anyone know at this time where the explosion started? It wasn’t like Sonny had received a package or anything. It was a little funny because one minute Michael has a patch of fire on his arm and the next second he’s fully engulfed in flames and a random beam falls. Yup! He’s going to burn clinic in another state STAT for the foreseeable future. LOL!!!!! I guess Ava will use this to get custody of Avery and Carly will use it, well, because it’s all about Carly. LOL!!!!

Okay, but if he was trying to target Michael specifically, to hurt Sasha, Holly and Sonny, I don't understand targeting Sonny's Penthouse. Michael visits but doesn't live there, like plenty of other people. Why not blow up Michael's work/office? Or have Michael followed up and try to blow him up while he's having a secret meeting with Sasha?

I would be thrilled if they could somehow bring Billy Miller back (RIP) and reveal that CM’s Drew is an impostor, Life Model Decoy, clone, alien body snatcher, whatever.  Sadly, this is an impossibility.

I wish he would take CM/Drew with him.

Perhaps they could fight over a waterfall, and fall over into the fall with their hands wrapped around each other’s throats.  Later reviving on the Pennsylvania dos of the river in Nixon falls.  Both suffering total amnesia.  There they find love with each other and abandon any plans to discover their true identities.  They could even take over the Tano together.

The end.
