^^ Is that supposed to be a good thing? Because I don't think Elizabeth deserves to be stuck with someone who never loved her for herself; he loved how he felt about himself being the hero after she was raped. It could have been Sarah or Emily in that park that night, and he would love them instead under those conditions.

Elizabeth also doesn't deserve to be with someone that needs her to be less so that he can feel better about himself. Lucky always wanting to be the hero puts Elizabeth in the position of always being the damsel. And when she doesn't fit that mold his insecurities cause him to lash out at her. How nice.

No, it's my interpretation of Lucky's perspective at the time he left Port Charles, in response to GHScorpiosRule saying what Lucky is claiming now is bullshit. I don't think what he's saying now *inherently* contradicts what I think the Show was sloppily trying to say about Lucky's mentality in late 2011 and then briefly in 2015.

I don't think Elizabeth should be with someone who feels a need to always be seen as her hero. That's why I liked strong Elizabeth in Lucky's hallucination, saying essentially, you're on this floor in really bad shape due to this need to stay on the move and be a hero to strangers. Put on your big boy pants and have the guts to face your family - especially your son - as a regular man, not as a hero.  His subconscious is saying he needs to just let himself be seen as a flawed person and to see Elizabeth as the strong woman who has been working as a nurse and raising their son, without his help.

I would like to see them grow close as adults (without Luke around projecting his L&L issues onto them!) who can now see each other as they really are instead of clinging to the memories of the teenagers they were. In time, maybe they fall in love. Maybe not, who knows. I just want to see JJ's Lucky and Elizabeth have a healthy connection, versus the awful storyline that was well underway when JJ returned to the role of Lucky in Fall 2009.

I can't with Sonny and noted bigot Natalia "flirting" over a janky espresso machine. I can't with their "flirting" in general. Ugh.

Kristina, don't talk to Chase without a lawyer present! And then she lies, again. She deserves whatever legal action happens when she's being that idiotic.  I cannot with the galactic stupidity for plot purposes.

"Detective Chase is a skilled interrogator, that's for sure." Especially when Kristina does his job for him.

So weird to hear Martin without his accent. I wish MEK had been able to gradually get rid of it, the way JJY did with Mac's atrocious Australian accent. It does crack me up that suddenly GH is all accent-averse, when in the '80s and '90s it seemed as if everyone had one.

I don't think they should recast Jax or that he's really needed as a character at this point, but I would be open to it given the unfortunate drama with Ingo and the dearth of interesting males. I would want someone both smoother and more harder-edged than this dude though, to differentiate from Ingo a bit on the latter (not unlike how ATWT reinvented Craig Montgomery with a recast, for better or worse). Mesure is too cuddly for me.

It is very weird since that accent was basically his entire personality. I hope to God the Lois thing doesn't stick.

I am sick to death of TJ and Molly and their judginess. I've hated TJ for a while, now I'm starting to hate Molly too,

Kristina is a dingbat for talking to Chase without a lawyer but Dante isn't far behind, leaving her alone with Chase.

So Carly buys her store's muffins from a bakery instead of making them on site. Why doesn't Diane just skip the middle woman and go direct to the bakery? I'm sure they serve coffee there too.

Brennan/Carly/Diane and Sonny/Natalia was straight up fast forward for me. The Alexis scenes were at least tolerable.

I don't think that anything can save Brennan or any new man if he's required to fall for Carly off the bat. That already shows that he's not particularly bright or strong.

They need to just pair Sonny and Carly together again whether LW and MB like it or not. Burning their minimums at the same time would free up sooo much airtime for other characters.

It would also appease the Carly/Jason/Sonny fans so we wouldn't keep having to go over the same old plots over and over again.

I like Brennan!  I think he's very charismatic, and he's pretty sexy.  I don't mind him with Carly and I never really like her with anyone, so that's saying something.

I'm kind of hoping Molly and Dex do have an affair.  I think these couples need shaking up, just my opinion.  I can honestly see Willow needing a shoulder to lean on after Drew breaks her heart and Michael divorces her, and what better shoulder than TJ's?  And I think Molly and Dex do have chem.   I'm sure they'll find someone for Joss. She'll be fine.

Anything Sonny and Natalia related is a fast forward for me.

From one control freak to another. And both with their anger issues. I haven't liked Willow since she was with Chase, but I think she deserves better than these uppidy assholes.

I can't help but feel sorry for Sonny, he just seems so distraught over Alexis going to prison for his crime  making Michael an accessory after the fact to murder  Kristina losing her baby and her mind  Dante's ex wife dying his coffee machine.

I think it's amazing how the writers want us to think that Sonny is some kind of paragon while also writing him as a complete scumbag.

Did. I hear correctly that Natalia closed a major deal on her own? I thought she was the CFO? do CFOs usually get involved with deals? I thought they just crunched numbers. I can see her signing off on acquisitions etc but not actually making the deal  And didn’t she specifically state that she would NOT be involved in anything other than the financial aspects of the company? And of course she worked in a cafe in Puerto Rico and knows all about coffee machines 🙄.

sonny has a chef at th make believe restaurant? Why?????

Why do Sonny and Carly have to pretend to be in love? Why couldn't they have just been horny for each other on the night Sonny murdered Cates? Make the prosecution prove they didn't have sex with each other. This "pretend you're in love to bolster your defense" is the exact same storyline they did with Carly and Drewfus.

Kristina is sooooo stupid. Did Alexis drop her on the head repeatedly when she was a baby? Is this why Alexis is so protective of her? Guilt over all the head bumps?

Dante never should have left Christina alone with Chase. He should have stayed there and told Chase she will wait for her lawyer.

Chase on his power trip is now acting terrible.

Why should Dante tell Chase anything?   Kristina isn't a child.  She has a voice and should have told Chase herself.

Jax (regardless of who's playing him) deserves to have moved beyond Carly and constantly dealing with Sonny (and Jason).  It's ridiculous that worldly, attractive high-profile businessman Jax would ever "fall in love" with Carly in the first place.

I don't think he's needed either, although it's really wrong that Joss hasn't even acknowledged being in touch with Jax since IR was fired. He was always a devoted father, and I don't believe for one second he would be radio silent about the Joss-Cameron revenge porn and never show up for her while she's in college. Jax was definitely smoother than this Jack Brennan guy.

I enjoy Brennan and it’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a guy on this show so if he has to be charming to Carly to get my dose, I’m fine with it.

To her credit, LW’s eyes do sparkle in their scenes and she’s playing it like she truly doesn’t want to be involved with Sonny, and I hope it continues because it’s the only way I could ever enjoy her character again. (No matter how despicable Carly is, I always appreciate LW’s work.)

I was watching NLG and MEK and I think they could have possibilities as a couple, or at least very good friends. Of course, she’ll never go for the “pinning it on Sonny” scenario, but a girl can dream about the possibilities for a few hours.

Because it looks too convenient that they just happened to give each other alibis on the night they were both at the Q mansion where Cates was murdered. I don't think that's wrong, necessarily, but Diane is supposed to be an amazing lawyer, and she should be able to crush this idea with minimal effort.

It's such a stupid plot point.

Same. She knows who Carly is and tries to stay consistent with that, even when the writing doesn't. (There's no way I believe Carly would allow herself to be implicated in the murder of a federal agent, just because Sonny is an infant with no impulse control.)

I’m sure he cares because it’s his investment. But I still don’t understand why the CFO closed a deal?

Because Natalia the Bigot is really just so awesome at her job. She can do anything and is not limited by her title. She is making these people millions of dollars because she has a huge business brain.

Clearly not everyone sees it this way and would like to see the couple given another chance as adults. We know the writers will muck it up but many are along for the ride until that happens. Vive la difference!

to be fair - as much as you don't want it/like it - it's fine that people can accept the damage if they accept the damage and move on. again for me it would be nice if they admitted if they didn't work because it would just be a different story beat and that's what I am always for.

and as someone pointed out a while ago. most soap opera couples have some hint of toxicity/ill suitedness towards each other at some point. it's very rare if they have none and you lose out on a chunk of drama if they didn't have a smidge. regardless if you have zero time for the couple or if they are your favourite on planet earth.

They have already been given many chances as adults and only gotten more and more toxic. It's time to let it go.

I would really like it if Sitwell capped our adventurers asses. Honestly, they look like such a bunch of morons. But this whole plot of playing poker is so beyond stupid. Couldn't come up with something better, writers? It's a rhetorical question of course.

Carly is still such a mob moll no matter how she doesn't want to be in Sonny's orbit, or says she doesn't. I guess she'll be all about how Sam stuck her nose where she shouldn't have whenever she finds out that she died. Too bad for her, she should've stuck to her lane.

Also, all these people communing in Lulu's room. Girl came out of her long term care facility only to catch an ear full of who's doing what and how Sonny killed the FBI agent and Carly is covering for him. I imagine that she'll be so grateful to Carly for sending Jason on the Lucky errand that she'll keep her mouth shut.

I like that Molly and Martin (his face is so smooth and shiny that I find it distracting) are teaming up against Sonny. Bring him down and throw a Larousse Dictionary (about 15 lbs of French words and their definitions) at his stupid head on his way to Pentonville. Nobody deserves to rot like Sonny does. Him and Carly both. Gruesome twosome.

Carly calling Lulu "cuz" really grates.

I am really enjoying everyone calling out the absurdity of Carly and Sonny supposedly getting it on. I hope Sam has time to talk to Martin about her suspicions, because no one should believe Carly and Sonny would give it another go, let alone sleep in Tracy's bed at the Q mansion. Especially during a party! Everything about the alibi is ridiculous. (Too bad Sam is getting to push Carly so hard only because Sam will die soon. It's a variation of a Stanvil, sigh.)

If only the show would finally use a coma for good and have Lulu come to and remember all of this, freeing Alexis and screwing over Carly and Sonny.

Jordan, why does it matter what Kristina might have done with the baby? It won't ever happen now.

Shouldn't Alexis be paying Martin? She has the money to do it, and there's no reason for her not to. Sonny telling Martin to represent her doesn't make Martin beholden to him.

But I doubt he cares about the details of the deal.  Sonny isn't into the minutia of nail polish, the bottom line, yes, but this need to report back?  Unnecessary, other than for Natalia to shake her tailfeathers at him.

Very true. And talk about no chemistry! There is just no ‘there’ there no matter how much Eva tries.

I found it disturbing (especially given Mo's mental health issues, which he talks openly about) to have Sonny make the case to Kristina that it was understandable that she went to kill Cates because she was having a breakdown, and how nobody understands that better than him. Implying what? That it is normal and acceptable for people with mental health problems to act out violently? Then he tells her "but don't kill. because it marks you" --aka, then YOU have to live with it. How about because it's wrong and never justified! This man is pure evil acting like he is Charles fucking Ingalls imparting his profound fatherly wisdom! Can Sam please splice and dice him, too, before she passes?!

It was kinda nice to see KeMo today, though tbh Sam begging Carly to do the right thing had me rolling my eyes.

Maybe it's just me but I'm starting to enjoy CR's increasingly bsc Sidwell. With Helena and Faison gone, there's an opening for an over-the-top villain to come and go in PC. We could do worse.

Tomorrow's preview - Lucky finally hears about Lulu. Too bad we are also stuck with James and Drew.

Drew is really becoming a stalker toward Willow. He knows she’s uncomfortable around him but instead of keeping his distance, he seems to go out of his way to be around her. And touching her. Telling her it’s okay, nothing happened, nothing will. Knowing she wants something to happen but is also doing her part to stay away from him. Is it too much to ask that whenSam dies, she takes Drew and Sonny with her?

and newsflash Sam, Carly doesn’t give a damn about Alexis or anyone other than herself and Sonny, never has, never will. And you can be damn sure that if it was one of HER kids, she’d March down to the PCPD and spill everything she knows.

if Frank really wanted to reward the loyal viewers for sticking with this garbage show, he’d have Lulu wake up, remember everything that’s been said in her room and start talking to the cops. But Frank hates us so that will never happen.

Im so over the whole Africa story. Wake me when they get back to PC and Lucky saves Lulu, despite his drugging and boozing probably damaging his liver. Isn’t that why Nik couldn’t donate?

It's probably not intentional but there are echoes of Luke and Laura, when she was working for him at the club and married to Scott. Let's hope it doesn't end that way.

I have a long list of people Sam could pull into the dangerous currents with her when she goes diving for the gun Alexis tossed.

Oh dear lord no. Just no! Drew and Willow are no Luke and Laura. But I do get the drift. I can’t see the show going down that road in 2024. Not even Frank is that stupid…

Because Michael E. Knight is already being featured and he returned after JJ. I just don’t understand why he hasn’t shown up and he’s been back over a month.

Good Lord this show is CHEAP AS FUCK. Martin is there as Alexis’ LAWYER.  That means private setting- where NO ONE can eavesdrop- and Day player guard has NO BUSINESS standing a few yards away.

I had to laugh when Martin told Alexis that they should call Jordan and tell them about Kristina. He was still on the show when she became Deputy Mayor, right?

I understand Chase was doing his job, but as a cop, he KNOWS he can’t question anyone without their lawyer present. So he can SHUT UP about turning Dante in for calling Diane.

LOVED seeing ROBERT!!!!!

But I can’t believe how STOOPID Alexis, Kristina, and Chase are acting.

Let's hope. It took almost a generation to get to the fact that the way Luke pursued Laura was creepy, not romantic. Now Drew has crossed that line from mutual, inconvenient attraction to creepy. And Willow is increasingly boxed in. No matter how this turns out, she's the one that has the most to lose.

I don't even like Willow but I'm starting to sympathize with her.

Carly is such a garbage person.  Now she's using "how dare you come to me wanting me to tell the truth when I'm so worried about my cousin who I couldn't be bothered with since she's been in a coma and the years before that" as an excuse to get Sam off her back.  And Sam is right: Carly loves to take credit for *checks notes* running to Jason and having him fix things because *glances at page 2* she knows his pathetic, robotic ass will just do what she wants.

Sidwell: "If I win, you all die."

Me: "Don't threaten me with a good time."

Jordan goes to see Alexis -- in Pentonville looking at life in prison - to confront Alexis about stealing her grandson. She's as much garbage as her son is.

Don't forget the third option: Lurking around town for weeks on end before deciding to reveal themselves.

I don't mind a bit of foreplay, as it were, but endlessly dragging out a return really kills the momentum and excitement, IMO. Most viewers these days aren't going to be surprised when a character returns, so just get on with it.

OMG! I forgot Lurking. It’s basically a whole other character. LOL!!!! I remember when Laura did that after returning (a few years later) from the fog after the wedding. She was sitting next to Luke in a restaurant wearing a purple scarf and didn’t notice her. I mean she was practically sitting on his salad plate. LOL!!!!!
