The idea of Doctor on Demand made me so mad that I could have spit nails.

No kidding!  It is maddening that he thinks an App (that costs money BTW) is going to help repair these damaged people.  Even if Dr. Phil plans to foot the bill for the app, that family needs deep face-to-face and maybe even group therapy.  Possibly even OT or PT.  I was only paying partial attention at the end, so maybe he did offer more assistance.  I'm just glad Robin didn't make a play for her 5 minutes of stage time.

Yeah, those Doctor on Demand fees for psychologists run $50 for 25 minutes and $95 for 50 minutes, according to the website.  That

could add an extra headache or two.

It didn't make me mad, I found it hysterical!   The look on their faces was priceless. There was no solution for this fuck ball of a family.

The mother smiled through the entire thing.  Perhaps the strangest show he has had.  I do love it when he brings the crazy.

I DVR this show and probably watch 15% and hit FF when Robin comes on.   I wasn't fast enough on the remote so I caught the $10 making history walk off where they will have a "blast."  Oh my god.  Oh my god.  Oh my god.  And more amazing is they are getting people who want to do that.

Eight Children Abused by Their Own Father...The good doctor offers Doctor on Demand to these trauma victims. Ugh.

That was un-freaking-believable. He is actually pimping therapy-by-phone. With straight face. Astounding.

The show yesterday with the blonde lady who was ready to divorce her husband...what a nutcase. The guy seemed decent, but there must be something wrong with him that he's with her.

If I heard accurately, these two were married in 2013.  If that's correct, the marriage was off the rails before it started.

I watch this show with an eager anticipation much like the interest I have in an  FBI search for a serial killer.  I FF through the hawking of products and Robin (oh fuck no).  I just love seeing the crazies.  I really don't care if there is a resolution or good that comes to fruition.  I skip all shows about addiction (boring and predictable).   One mention of South Padre Island or Dr Lawless and I am out of there. Gimme Tramarco and his lie detector!  I find no joy in trashing Dr  Phil.  Just give me the outrageous and I am there.

...One mention of South Padre Island or Dr Lawless and I am out of there. Gimme Tramarco and his lie detector!...

Did anyone else notice Dr. Lawless normally smiling face drop when Dr. Phil added that the delusional son would also be going to Whatever Dual Diagnostic Treatment Center? I think that Dr. Lawless expected to run expensive tests and give the delusional son some vitamins and "cure" him on his own. Either way, the delusional son most likely will not respond to treatment. Fantasy is so much better than real life. I try to practice it every day.

Love me some Tramarco. I wonder if he studied under Joe Friday.

"I Reunited with My Birth Mother and Now She Says She Wishes She Never Had Me"

Adopted as a baby, Rhonda says she wondered throughout her childhood why her birth mother placed her for adoption. At 24, she finally met her birth mother, Terri, and says she learned something no child should ever have to hear: Terri said she had tried to end her pregnancy by drinking an abortion concoction. Since meeting, Rhonda and Terri say their relationship has not been what they had hoped for -- but Rhonda says one good thing that came from the reunion is the unbreakable bond she now has with her younger sister, Beth. Beth and Rhonda say that since reuniting, Terri has become a “complete mess,” adding that she is mean, nasty and verbally abusive – especially when she’s inebriated or high on pills -- accusations Terri strongly denies. Terri says that Rhonda has turned Beth, and that the two have joined forces against her. She says she can’t believe Beth asked Rhonda to be her Matron of Honor at her upcoming wedding, knowing how “horrible” Rhonda has been to her. But Beth says she won’t even invite Terri to the wedding unless she cleans up her act. Who is causing the drama? Can Dr. Phil bring peace to this toxic trio, and can this mom finally bury the hatchet with her daughters? Plus, learn why an accusation of molestation may be at the root of this family’s resentment.

"How Did Our Son Go from College-Bound Star Athlete to a Homeless 'Moocher' Sleeping in a Tool Shed?"

Rachael and her husband, Tino, face off with their 22-year-old son, Ian, who they say went from being a star student and athlete to a “moocher” who now sleeps in their tool shed! They say Ian dropped out of college, quit his job and moved home, but when he wouldn’t work or return to school, they kicked him out. To get Ian to leave, Rachael and Tino say they had to get a temporary restraining order and call the cops to have him escorted out. Ian says it’s outrageous that his own parents would throw him out — making him homeless with a criminal record and forcing him to sneak into their tool shed at night just to have a place to sleep. Rachael and Tino say they are not only concerned about the changes in Ian’s path, but also his personality — claiming that Ian may be delusional because he has even accused them of raping him — an accusation they strongly deny. Could there be a deeper problem at play? Can Dr. Phil help this family come together to make a life plan for Ian? And, will Ian ever return to the person his parents say he used to be?

The series premieres on Sunday, October 18 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. And then, a mother who says her belief in God helped her through the worst day of her life — when her friend accidentally ran over her 17-month-old daughter and killed her. They tell Dr. Phil how the accident brought them closer.

I like the question "Can Dr. Phil help this family?"...

No, they have to help themselves.  That is always the case.  A therapist lights the way, that is all they can do.  There is no "curing" anyone.  It is all up to us to take control of our lives.

Today's ep with Ian the college drop out, homeless 22 yr old...I just wanted to slap that goofy smug smile right of his stupid face. Yes, the guy may have some psychosis or mental illness, and if he does, I hope he agrees to get some help. Bi-polar, schizophrenia, personality disorders, ADHD etc.etc. diagnoses have gone up in the past 15 years; mental health issues are on the rise. It is unfortunate and heartbreaking for those affected and their families. However, some people are just plain old-fashioned, self-indulgent, ungrateful, entitled assholes. I think Ian may be one of those cases.

This poor guy today appears to be schizophrenic. Or has drug-induced brain damaged.

I don't usually watch this show but I saw it today and it upset me so much I had to see if people wrote anything about it.  I think the kid appeared to have a mental illness but they were downplaying that so Dr Phil could plug his friend's program on addiction.

The parents never brought him to a psychiatrist?  Even though they witnessed him talking to someone who wasn't there, he lost interest in sports and school, he couldn't hold a job. (I did not like his father).   That usually isn't "laziness" but something more serious like depression or beginnings of schizophrenia which typically occurs in young teens/adults.  There is not way to blame marijuana on all of his symptoms.  Pot is way too common a drug.  People use it and function just fine as long as there aren't any other issues.  Doctors even prescribe it to relieve some symptoms of bipolar or schizophrenia.  I hope someone competent is able to properly diagnosis the poor kid and he improves enough to have a normal life.

Thank you for confirming much of what I was thinking when I watched this. I've noticed lately that Dr. Phil has had a number of episodes that were really NOT appropriate for public airing. The recent one about the adopted daughter and her biological mother and sister was really troubling.

Listening to that young man left me rather troubled for the reasons you pointed out. One thing that I didn't catch, I don't know if Dr. Phil or the parents addressed it, was whether he was adopted or the natural child of the mother and not the father. His biraciality didn't enter the discussion during the time I watched. I would have expected that Dr. Phil might have addressed that aspect as a part of the young man's identity issues etc. There were way too many serious issues that just seemed to skim by, i.e. suggestion of him being raped as an initiation (that has been found to be rather prevalent in the sports teams at university levels unfortunately) or that he partook in such an act. Which made me wonder if it was a college sports ugly ritual. But so much of this was just skimmed over to make time for his pitchman to step up with his addiction program spiel. I too hope he gets good help. There were a lot of things that were pretty serious whether delusional thinking or actual events.

I wish someone would have asked this kid why he didn't just go get a job to support himself. At first it sounded like he dropped out of college, but he mentioned getting his degree as one of his accomplishments. Whatever, it seemed to me to be some type of mental illness. When I graduated from high school at 17 my parents said their job was done and I was on my own. I had three months to find a job and a place to live. Looking back, that was a very cold-hearted thing to do but my parents were very old-school and just following the way they were raised. Guess what? I got a job and found a place to live!

I think he meant getting a high school diploma.  In watching him, he really appeared to have disorganized thinking which is a classic sign of mental illness.  And the fact that he was able to function normally and go to school until very recently suggests that something happened, most likely a developing illness.  If he did develop an illness such as schizophrenia he must be suffering.  It's not unusual to try and quiet the symptoms with drugs.

I hope he gets the help he needs and not just what Dr Phil is hawking at the moment.

Dr. Phil show calls 911 on a guest after guest sarcastically says she might kill herself

Basically an audience member shouts at a guest to kill herself, she replies maybe she will and then the producers call 911.  When the cops arrive, the Dr. Phil producers try to have her committed but the cops determined the guest wasn't a risk to herself.

The big question to me is why is the Dr. Phil show encouraging their audiences to yell at guests (and they most likely have a producer getting the audience riled up like they do on Springer and Maury) so fragile the producers thought said guest would follow through on the suggestion to commit suicide?  Why are they allowing their audiences to yell at guests, period?

Why? Because this is Dr Phil. Do you think he or his robotic wife or any of the people responsible for this show really care what happens to the people?  They just want to make a buck any way they can.

That's true.  It's just so tacky.  When the audience started getting too rowdy, taping should have stopped and they should have ushered the audience out of the studio, but that would have made for boring tv.  Speaking of TV, the producers were probably pushing a 5150 hold for the guest to add more drama to the episode.  "Dr. Phil saves a suicidal guest!" the title of the episode would have exclaimed.

This Tracey Barbie chick was on Catfish just a few months ago. She's either seriously mentally ill or acting. There's no nuance in her behavior. It's either one of the other and either way, Dr. Phil should not have her on his show. If she's as far gone as she portrays herself, she shouldn't be exploited. If she's acting, he and his staff would have to come to this conclusion while vetting her. I thought she was the real deal crazy when I saw her on Catfish, but now that she's on Dr. Phil I think she's acting and trying to get a reality show or have a social media career playing this character.

  • Love 4

I'm just glad they make it easy for me to turn off the program with the "Robin Walk" nonsense.  At minute 50, I can pretty well sense that this plug is coming and the program I chose to watch is over.

I can't imagine who would pay $ 10 for this so-called 'privilege'.  Guess I'll have to wait for it to happen to see, huh?

  • Love 1

Every time I see a mention for Doc on Demand I swear I saw someone pitch that idea on Shark tank.

The family and spiritual wife was a sad story although I found it interesting.   The "kids" all felt like the spiritual wife (forgot her name) not only did not help them but also were abusive to them.   The older son seemed the most angry.  Since the wife had her story told her story many times even having a life time movie I would have liked to hear more from the "children".

She definitely on a 'career track' as a reality show "star." Her facebook page, Tracey Armah, is loaded with Dr Phil mentions and Catfish mentions. She has auditioned for the next Bad Girls reality show cycle. And yes, lots of people follow her and lots of snarky comments about her bad wig and her teeth. Her stories on Dr Phil about dating every night are true. A revolving cast of different men litters her facebook page.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had her on his show to boost ratings. She is a marketing whirlwind

Hollywood Facialist Accused of Hiring a Hit Man Speaks Out for the First Time

Hollywood skin specialist to the stars Dawn DaLuise says she built her business and reputation on her avant garde beauty treatments and celebrity clients, such as Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow, and it wasn’t long before she received national attention in major publications. Then, in March of 2014, Dawn says she once again received national attention, but for an entirely different reason. She was arrested in a murder-for-hire plot and spent just under a year in jail. In the months leading to her arrest, Dawn claims she was the target of a vicious campaign to destroy everything she had built. She claims her tires were slashed, Craigslist ads were created offering free sex — resulting in men showing up at her salon — and sexually-explicit flyers super-imposed with her face and her two daughters, were strewn about her business and front lawn. Dawn says she was convinced the person behind the attack was a “rival” aesthetician, Gabriel Suarez, but in a bizarre twist, as she watched her reputation diminish from behind bars, Dawn claims she learned the shocking truth of who was really behind the campaign to destroy her. Can Dr. Phil help her make sense of what happened and help her repair her reputation?

"I'm Fighting for Custody of My Child with My Ex-Husband Who I Believe is Stalking Me"

Leslie says her ex-husband, Andy, is controlling, abusive and narcissistic, and she desperately hopes one day to have joint custody of their 5-year-old son. She claims Andy stalks her by tapping her phone, tracking her car with GPS, and that even his family is spying on her from the trees. Andy has primary custody of their son and says that’s the way it should be — he adamantly denies Leslie’s accusations and claims she is delusional, a liar, and can’t be trusted with their boy. He says their seven-year marriage ended because of Leslie’s drug relapses and paranoia, and claims that he once crawled around the ground with a flashlight looking for “people who were stalking her.” Leslie admits that she has a criminal record stemming from problems with substance abuse, but says that’s all in the past. Leslie’s mother, Myrna, says she knew Andy was “bad news from day one,” and claims Andy is a control freak who uses her grandson to get what he wants. But Myrna admits that her relationship with Leslie is difficult, and that they fought as recently as the night before appearing on the show. Don’t miss this emotional showdown as Dr. Phil gets to the core of this family’s problems and what’s best for the 5-year-old boy stuck in the middle.

"Dr. Phil, I Need Your Help Again: My Daughter is Hitchhiking and Train Hopping as a Portland Street Kid"

Five years ago, Tammy came to Dr. Phil for help with what she called unleashing her “special brand” of anger on her then 15 and 13-year-old daughters, Tatiana and Tameeka — yelling and screaming at them and anyone else who got in her way. Since the show, Tammy says she has curbed her anger, but needs Dr. Phil’s help again! She says three years ago Tatiana, now 20, stopped going to school, so she gave her three choices — get a job, volunteer, or take a class – or she would have to move out. She says Tatiana took that as an eviction notice, left home, and has been living on the streets ever since. Now, Tammy wonders if it’s her fault that her daughter is homeless, hitchhiking and train hopping around the country. It’s been two years since Tammy has seen Tatiana, and three years since Tatiana has seen her younger sister, Tameeka. Don’t miss this emotional reunion as Dr. Phil brings this family together in an effort to heal the damage between a mother and daughter and reunite two sisters who miss each other.

I really, truly cannot believe those girls so excited about getting to go into Robins "shoe closet" and ALL this "Walk a day in Robins shoes " shit! How DARE that snobby PoS homely old woman Robin can even promote something like this is unbelievably obscene! Who do these people think they are? Oprah? I wouldn't even do it if it WAS for O! Or even the first lady! This is a joke , it HAS to be! And the "signature walk off"?! OH....MY....GOD! This woman ought to be so ashamed of herself!

There is not enough eye-bleach to erase seeing Dr. Phil and Robin's bedroom or seeing Dr. Phil pretend that he is trying on Robin's shoes. Wasn't it enough that we have to see all of the videos that Robin makes for Dr. Phil? We have suffered enough.

I like Dr. Phil and some of his advice but I cannot take anymore of Robin and all of the product promotion. Robin thinks that every idea in her head is just so fantastic and must be shared. She is like a talking bobblehead. She needs to STFU.

I would donate $10 if we only had to see Robin walk off of the stage with Dr. Phil and never hear from her again. $15 if we did not have to hear about Doctor on Demand, Revelation, or When Georgia Smiled, and $20 for the combination package.

The grandchildren are precious but I don't want to see them either.

I need to put $2 (one $1 for each) in a jar for each day that Doctor on Demand or When Georgia Smiled is promoted as a part of a Christmas Savings Program. For shits and giggles, I am going to start it today and see how much I have this time next year.

  • Love 4

Just wow. Could Robin be anymore full of herself?! She's so over the top with the "cutesy, girly" act and "making hishstory" by walking off the set with them. Why in the world do these people think this is such an honor? I've noticed lately that Phil isn't looking well and acts like he can't turn his head. He also looked halfway embarrassed at how Robin was acting on the show. Just for shits and grins, I tried to find some old photos of Robin, from college onward. Nope. Nothing. Guess she doesn't want people to know how much plastic surgery she's had. I'm downright embarrassed for these people.

Not that I spend much time thinking about Dr. $hill, but anytime I see him I'm struck by the fact that his head and shoulders apparently can't work independently.  Does he have some kind of a skeletorial or muscular condition?  He never just turns his head...it's always an entire upper body movement.  Anyone know?

I'm sure if it was up to Phub to disclose why his head and shoulders are like that he'd attribute it to playing football when he was young. If that's the real reason we'll probably never know either way unless Phub and Co. find a way to make money off addressing our inquiries. Of course this is the guy who continues to put out diet books and other diet related items without addressing his own weight issue and doing something about it.

I'm in. I'll donate a couple bucks to keep Robin off the show...and her damned "when Georgia smiled" crap.

Was Robin's Mom abused? Don't people usually name charities in memory of someone who suffered from, died from or was a victim of whatever the cause is; such as cancer, domestic violence, etc?

I hope someone can educate me on this because i don't want to erroneously criticize Her Majesty Robin out of sheer ignorance!

I think Dr. Phil has a great talent for getting to the bottom of people's B.S. I just wish he'd keep his family and all their sales pitches off the show. It's really a turnoff for me. I agree that Robin is just - well - creepy and when she does that "signature walkoff" it just looks like she's thinking to herself "everyone look at ME! - I'm the pretty pretty princess!" Please, I don't care about you, Robin, not one little bit.

Very well articulated!

I too love listening to Phil cut straight through people's b.s. and nothing would make me happier than to see him walk off ALONE at the end of HIS show
