  1. It's an intense/devastating scene anyway, but it's a VERY intense/devastating scene considering it's in a kid's movie. Also The Lion King is one of the few Disney and/or kid's movies where the child confronts the parent's corpse directly onscreen, so ... yeah.
  2. The "Nothing Cake" doesn't sound edible?? Or is that the joke? Nevermind, I missed a couple of ingredients when I skimmed over the recipe the first time.
  3. She still might be? I'm still thinking it's a possibility because of the "not what they seem" hint.
  4. Is it really a "love triangle" if Gabi and Trent haven't really been a thing for most of the two seasons so far?
  5. Fairly spoilery, so putting this showrunner interview here: https://www.tvinsider.com/1170380/found-returns-gabi-sir-trent-heather-love-triangle/ Some excerpts relating to future developments:
  6. Oh, I forgot about that. Yeah, when he was a regular on The Flash, for like a half-season (or longer?) he was either absent, or minimally there, and then when he was there he was always sitting. Then his screentime got reduced in general after that. I'd have to go look up which season it was. ... And it was Season 4, apparently. (Dang- thought it was later)
  7. Always nice to have Rose around; although I would have preferred her and Alec rather than her and Marissa, but that pairing worked fine for this episode. Thought it was pretty ridiculous that they wrote in a forest fire just so Marissa and Rose would be the only ones searching for the missing woman. I think they were trying to address that by having Alec be bedridden for most of the episode. He was still running experiments and interviewing people, though. Definitely shoehorned in; but they have been trying to different ways to better incorporate them this season. However, most of the time the assistants and the experiments still feel completely unnecessary.
  8. ?? She's definitely the lead and top-billed for Challengers. She has a producer credit for that one as well.
  9. Special airing on January 27th: "New Documentary Film "Ladies & Gentlemen... 50 Years of SNL Music" from Grammy And Academy Award-Winning Filmmaker Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson"
  10. 5.08 synopsis: --- Subplots focusing on the characters' love lives isn't new, but I wonder if this is going to be a Valentine's Day episode? (Definitely NOT getting my hopes up for Robyn/Dante, though.)
  11. Four more years of This Guy. This time, even more senile and unhinged.
  12. I just remembered: Even before Spiderman, wasn't Zendaya already semi-famous for being in Taylor Swift's squad (or whatever they used to call it) and in her "Bad Blood" music video (with a bunch of other stars/starlets)? Even if she didn't have a big gig, this girl has never stopped working.
  13. Aw! I'm rooting for them! They both seem like good eggs. Looking at both their resumés, though they've got different trajectories, I'd say they're about equal in terms of fame. Plus Zendaya has the bonus of being famous as a fashion icon outside of her acting roles.
  14. 2.09 synopsis: From the last promo, it looks like the injured team member is Dhan (but how??). But I'm a little more interested in the supposedly "shocking secret" Sir finds out. The only M&A ally worth mentioning is Trent; so I'm guessing it's about him.
  15. I get why TV writers do it, but I'm just over "The show is about This, BUT ALSO, there's a behind-the-scenes Conspiracy". I just hate that those things usually get drawn out forever with little progress, while at the same time getting more and more convoluted and non-sensical. I guess the question is, why would you want to keep all your worst serial killers around if not for punishment? (Since that can happen in a non-super-secret prison.)
  16. Well, luckily, this isn't a comic book or sci-fi show, so their options for bringing in Sherlock are a bit more limited!
  17. New research on women in behind-the-scenes jobs; says just about what you'd expect (little to no progress in gender equality), but these are new numbers looking at 2024 films. excerpt: Direct links to the research paper: https://womenintvfilm.sdsu.edu/research/ https://womenintvfilm.sdsu.edu/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/2024-Celluloid-Ceiling-Report.pdf
  18. So, update: Blake Lively is officially suing Justin Baldoni and his PR team, and Baldoni is suing the NY Times. (Both articles mention both.)
  19. Deadline's 2024 Box Office analysis by studio: https://deadline.com/2025/01/box-office-2024-studio-marketshare-1236244785/ And outlook for 2025: https://deadline.com/2024/12/box-office-predictions-2025-1236244049/
  20. I don't think Batwoman ever had Batman himself on. He remained missing from Gotham as far as I remember. But it was always a two-hander show with Batwoman and Alice, even when they changed Batwoman. Yes, technically they didn't have Batman; but they did have Bruce Wayne show up in a dream sequence, and then a Bruce Wayne imposter as well. (... Then there was the alternate universe version of Bruce in a crossover event...) Bringing it this back to this show: I'm just going to assume Sherlock will show up in some form at some point. It'll be a short first season with the show premiering at midseason, so it's possible they hold off until season 2 (if its renewed).
  21. Recently came to the realization about a song I've been listening to for decades; I've been mishearing one word, and now that I realize what the lyric actually is, it's like, 'Well, yeah, that makes WAY more sense!' No, I don't want to get into specifics, I'm embarrassed enough! 😭 😂 I will cop to having no idea that Janet Jackson is repeating the word "nutty" in "Doesn't Really Matter"* until seeing the youtube captions a while ago. Obviously, I realize NOW that it's a reference to the movie she was in; because otherwise why would that word even be in there?? *(mostly at the end, around 3:30 in the video)
  22. Eh -- Not that I thought he'd be bad in the role, or anything; but I was hoping they wouldn't go with the obvious choice.
  23. This was great! Like someone else mentioned, not totally comparable to the previous film, since this (and the stage show) is its own thing, even though it's telling the same story. Loved the cinematography, costumes; the production design in general. Was surprised Whoopi's cameo was uncredited; I assume that was her choice, though.
  24. I watched an episode of The Office once. ONCE. That was enough. I'm just not into cringe "comedy" and I find that faux-documentary style annoying. That faux-doc filming is why I can't get into Abbott Elementary; even though I want to. Plus they seem to think "stare into the camera" is an amazing punchline; but it's NOT when it's every other punchline.
  25. Because these procedurals always have to have a misdirect before we find the actual killer: Red Herring Suspect: "Hey, I may have [done something dumb/evil/illegal], but I didn't kill [him/her]!!" Ugh -- I've heard this too many times.
