  1. No. This is another way to target the undocumented. If you read the article:
  2. Maybe this kept getting pushed back because it wasn't that good? At least it showed that the assistants can easily be deleted from the show. I did notice how they used every word except 'slavery' to describe the situation of the Vietnamese workers.
  3. Another couple interviews with showrunner Craig Sweeney; has some teases for future story arcs and spoilers, if you haven't seen the pilot: '‘Watson’ Boss Talks Casting [ Spoiler] as Moriarty, Major Betrayal for Watson & More' '‘Watson’ Creator On Premiere Twist & Moriarty Casting Reveal, Sherlock Easter Eggs & ‘House’ Comparisons'

This wasn't bad, but it's still very Standard Medical Procedural, outside of the Sherlock Holmes lore. Willing to give it a chance, though. (I might end up watching this in any case; my mom will watch anything Sherlock Holmes -related. Anything.) Downsides: I already hate the twins, and I'm so over the 'exes working together' trope. Randall Park is going to have to work hard to get me to buy him as an evil mastermind. Morris Chestnut is pretty; but I need more than eye candy to stick with something. (Looking at you, Tracker.) Moriarty has a M-shaped hand -- ha ha, cute -- but seriously; I wonder if they'll ever give an explanation about why he never got his hand fixed.

  7. This is tonight, I don't know if a topic can be made here or in another forum?
  8. The info from the Men's Journal piece is actually from The Irish Sun, it seems: https://www.thesun.ie/tv/14578446/jerry-springer-netflix-fake-guests-norman-lubow/

  10. Even if it doesn't become a widespread problem among humans, just the repercussions among the animals grown for foods is going to have ripple effects.
  11. I'm not a party planner, and I had to plan/organize a celebration for my mom's milestone birthday; it went well, and I'm sooo grateful for all the help and participation from various people! My advice for anyone else who might be in the same predicament: make it a team project. Start early.
  12. When the bird flu hits epidemic levels (it's coming y'all), it's going to so much worse because of this administration's anti-science, anti-accountability stance; and the price of eggs is only going to be one problem from that.
  13. I'm sure this is going to have a bunch of dark humor, but I still don't like that they're trying to market this as some type of wacky comedy; when that is definitely not this director's brand. And obligatory mention of my general pet peeve of showing scenes from the third and/or final act of the movie in the trailer.
  14. The pilot is airing tonight after football, so there might be a delay. Set your DVRs accordingly.

    S01.E01: Pilot

Morris Chestnut stars as Dr. John Watson, who resumes his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders six months after the death of his friend and partner, Sherlock Holmes, at the hands of Moriarty. Watson's old life isn't done with him, though: Moriarty and Watson are set to write their own chapter of a story that has fascinated audiences for more than a century. Airdate: January 26, 2025

  18. They're probably being obtuse on purpose, but I'm still confused about Christian. Even though it seems like he has known where Sir was (this whole time?), it also seems like he not the accomplice since he's not on board with Sir's plans ??
  19. Timothée Chalamet hosts and performs on Saturday Night Live on January 25, 2025.
  20. Another preview article, but has some information that's not in the pilot, so beware if you consider that spoilers: https://www.tvinsider.com/1169865/the-hunting-party-melissa-roxburgh-interview-exclusive/
  21. People keep letting him get away with illegal stuff though....

I kinda wanted to watch this, but I am just TIRED of hearing about That Man.
  23. I don't think she ruined 'everything', but bringing her in didn't really add much at all, and messed with some of the dynamics in a bad way. My other thoughts are in the Red Dwarf topic.
  24. Alright, thought this was a good start; it's got me interested in how several of these storylines may go. But yeah - there are a lot of potential arcs set up. I'm afraid that some of those are gonna end up convoluted and/or murky. So far, I'm mainly interested in the chase aspect: how they catch the escapees. I'm kinda over murder-of-the-week shows, so I'd rather this isn't mainly that. However, they did suggest that the experiments made the inmates worse -- if I understood correctly? And I know it's TV, and suspension of disbelief, yadda yadda; but I still gotta nitpick about there being "a lot" of escapees they have to catch. (Yes, I know; they need to enough to last at least a couple seasons.) I'm just side-eyeing the way it was presented; that a) there are dozens and dozens of serial killers b) in this facility, and even though there was huge explosion/fire c) enough of them survived AND escaped from underground in the middle of nowhere; yet it's still "a lot". D) And then there were apparently no protocols for such a situation, e) and even if they can't won't use local law enforcement to help catch escapees, they don't have manpower from Whatever Government Agency?? F) Wasn't the prison isolated on purpose? How far could anyone get undetected? (Yes, some, but "a lot"?) So even though I have a few issues with the premise, so far that's not a dealbreaker. I'll give this a few episodes to see how it shapes up. I used to watch Prison Break; I can deal with ridiculousness if it's interesting/entertaining, and if there are entertaining characters to root for.
  25. I thought the conclusion of the case was a bit 'meh', but a decent episode. Minimal assistants, and Alec and Rose working together is always welcome. I did not guess the killer, but I should have, because it's usually the most famous guest star. I see they're slowly working up to getting Jesse out of that burn scar makeup. I don't think so; don't ask which episode, though!
