  1. Finished Season 7; I'm not really feelin' the addition of Kochanski. In theory, I wanted to see what a female presence in the crew might look like, but in general they had her in conflict with everybody. She didn't really fit the Rimmer-shaped hole in the show. Some fun scenes, but not really any whole episodes I can say are favorites; especially in the back half. Having a recurring joke is fine but I found that they got too repetitive with this joke format: "That's [x]-er than a [way too many words]!" I keep reading that people hated Season 8, so we'll see how this goes.
  2. Colter races against the clock to find the missing teenage son of Reenie's close friend Erika. Airdate: March 3, 2024
  3. When Arman mysteriously disappears, Thony and Nadia begrudgingly team up to look for him. Meanwhile, Fiona tries to manage the aftermath of her deportation to the Philippines and reconnects with an old flame. Airdate: March 5, 2024
  4. Yeah, I know this is CBS, but this doesn't need to be another Cop Show.
  5. I'm not afraid to revive a dormant topic; anyone want to discuss Red Dwarf? https://forums.primetimer.com/forum/6494-red-dwarf/ I recently discovered the entire series on Tubi, and I've gotten through Season/series 6. I remember watching some of this as a kid/teen on PBS in the 90s. The series had its ups and downs, but it took big swings, and had some great gags and characters.
  6. Starting Season 7, and I guess I did catch some of this in the nineties. I vaguely remember that there was an episode that had time travel for curries, and that it was weird that there was suddenly a woman on board. I keep hearing that there are sucky seasons after this one -- any recommendations or warnings? My plan is to watch the whole series, but I'm interested in what other people think.
  7. Not that we know of, so far. But I'd guess that he isn't because he's supposed to be an 'outsider'.
  8. I don't think grabbing him had anything to do with it. ::shrug::
  9. Leapers can see each other how they really look (NOT as the person they leapt into); this was established last season with whathisname, the 'evil' leaper.
  10. Finished Season 6; man, this show used time travel A LOT. And it was different every time. LOL - I guess the trade-off for Lister/Craig getting to make out with beautiful women was that he had to make out with some monsters as well! I miss Holly. But taking her out does mean that everyone else gets to do more stuff. So, we're just going to create an entire planet of Rimmers, and never follow up on that? Oy. Wow, the one(?) time they end on a life-or-death cliffhanger, and then the show doesn't come back for 3 years -- double Oy. Still disappointing that Cat's been here this whole time but they still don't give him any A-plots. ETA: I know that sounds like a bunch of complaints, but I'm still enjoying the show, it's still funny!
  11. Okay, so I realize this is at least partly to save money on guest actors, but my point still stands! --- So 2 episodes into Season 6 and yay! Cat has a third trait. I don't know if it makes sense that he can supposedly sniff things in outer space, but when has anything made sense on this show? LOL! I appreciate the attempt at a serialized story, and changing the status quo, but it's weird that they would remove the thing that's the title of the show.
  12. Also the Deadline article: ‘Alex Rider’ To End With Season 3, Premiere Date Set At Freevee Maybe? But it sounds like the producers are good with ending it at this point.
  13. Season 5: Another good set of episodes; although the only one that I think didn't really fit in with the rest was "The Inquisitor", which was more sci-fi than funny. Cat's been a little more involved in things, but I'm still waiting for him to have a central story or another personality trait. I do wonder where he gets all his clothes from, though -- LOL. I'm a sucker for doppelgangers and alternate realities, so it's cool to see the different ways they used to have different versions of the characters. This show is also fun just to hear some British slang!
  14. It's not even that I'm against this type of character, in theory, but lately it seems like EVERY new show is this SAME character.
  15. I'm sure Season 3 is coming, but is it a "confident update" if it's from someone not even associated with the production or Amazon? Never change, ScreenRant.
  16. TV has got to start getting away from 'Genius/Highly Skilled Protagonist With a Tragic, Mysterious Past (who can help everyone except themselves)'. I'm ready for some well-adjusted detectives again, thanks. (Still miss you, God Friended Me !)
  17. Sense and Sensibility: Yeah, they just had too much to cram into the runtime, and what suffered most was building up the relationships. And of course, if you've seen the version with Emma Thompson it pales in comparison. Speaking of -- I kinda felt sorry for the actor playing Edward who had to do a Hallmark version of Hugh Grant. I did like that they went colorful for the costumes; although I thought simpler might have been better in some cases. I don't know if these were the "easter eggs", but I did get a kick out of the 'Regency instrumental' versions of "Kiss From a Rose" and "Weak". I do appreciate that Hallmark attempted something like this. While they are definitely trying to get in on the costume/period drama trend, I don't think they were copying Bridgerton (there would be way more sex, and that just isn't their brand).
  18. With Colter(Hartley) outdoors and on location most of the time, I guess having his handlers and hacker have all their scenes in one room saves money. But even if that's a small part of the show, I feel that's going to get boring eventually. I'd love some face-to-face interactions with his team, and some backstory of how they started working together. Case of the week was engaging, but I hope not every episode involves a shootout.
  19. Yeah; this was me. I admit, sometimes I'm multitasking with some of these case-of-the-week shows, but this time I was actually paying attention! Didn't really like the end with the mother of the girl not pressing charges; but like someone already mentioned, would that actually be up to her? Anyway -- the only fashion standout was Robyn's embellished coat. I did like that her hair was loose, which they don't usually do.
  20. Photos: See The Company of Water For Elephants Take Their 1st Bows on Broadway Photos taken by Grant's brother, Tyler Gustin, BTW.
